Actually, my post was only for the crypto assets class. I do not understand or have an interest in other assets class so if you find any part of my strategy useful you can tweak that as your desire.



Gaining proper knowledge about your investment is essential but that is not related to money management. Money management requires when you have already selected assets to invest in. The first step is to research that project then comes the money management when you have decided to put your money in.

I am replying to your question in English because I assume you do not understand Bengali.

This thread is for Bengali-speaking people but people from other nationalities are also allowed as long as they write in Bengali here. You can ask any question or join any conversation only in the Bengali language. Please do not use other languages in this thread.

Many will argue about which one should be the priority:

1. Understanding the chart for best Entry and Exit  
2. Money management.


We could keep our opinion aside about this matter for some time and talk about our money management experience and strategy. I think no one will deny that money management is one of the most important things that we need to trade and reduce our losses. It is not possible to be 100% accurate about all of our trades no matter how experienced we are. A combination strategy with our experience in the market and money management skills we could reduce our chance of losses by almost 90%.

Many of us actively trade in the crypto market, so most of us must have our money management strategy to approach the markets. Let us share our money management strategy here so that we can develop or adjust a perfect money management strategy according to our trading behavior. I am going to share the money management strategy that I am using till now.


# Diversify portfolio: I know many people give bitcoin first priority when investing in crypto but I do not trade in the BTC market. Most of my trade is with the altcoin market and here is the strategy I use to diversity my portfolio from small risk projects to high-risk projects.

• Small Risk project: In these lists, most of the coin is for the long term and their market cap must be above 1 Billion. Some project where I think putting money is safe for the long term. 50% of many portfolios for these projects.

• Medium Risk: A project below a 1 Billion market cap is a medium risk project on my list. My investment for these projects is for a few months to 1 year. 30% of my portfolio is for these projects.

• High risk: All of these projects are a startup and their development is still ongoing. Most of the time these entry is for low cap news-based project. 10% many is for high-risk projects.

And I keep 10% of my portfolio in reserve for any difficult situation.


# Investment strategy: Putting all of your bags in a single trade is not a great idea that most new traders do. We have to understand that investing in crypto is not a lottery but a business that grows over time with fluctuations.

• small risk project: When investing in a project I do put money based on risk and their allocation from my portfolio. For the first entry 10% for small risk project from its 50% allocation and keep investing 5% from that allocation in every market correction happens. This continues for every correction no matter what the coin price is.

• Medium risk project: 40% for first entry another 30% for above 25% to 30% market correction and the rest of the 30% cash for the worst-case scenario. If I had to put the last 30% of my money into that project then my aim is to exit at break-even or with small profits.

• High-risk project: 50% for the first entry and another 50% for more than 30% market correction. Always exit with small profits or start booking profit from when trade is on 10% profits.

In most cases, I do not use stop loss because I think it is a proven way to lose money. I do DCA for exiting from a bad trade. I think a plan is better than no plan so make your own money management strategy first before investing in the crypto market.

I do not think that Elon brought Twitter only to shill doge. A crypto enthusiast like Elon could bring new innovations and ideas to that platform which he could use for his own benefits. Till now elons course of action shows he is only interested in making more money for himself. His speech about creating Twitter as a platform for free speech looks bull shit to me. But it's for sure Twitter will go through tons of features and update in the Elon regime.

Actually, the real problem is with people's sentiment. Many people think investing in crypto is a lottery after seeing a meme project like doge and Shiba Inu spike more than 1000% within a few weeks. Lack of proper knowledge about the crypto space gives people a false impression of crypto. Because these newbies took so much loss in their first trade and called crypto a scam.

• পরামর্শ: এমন টোকেনে বিনিয়োগ করবেন না যার কোনো ব্যাবহার নেই বা যার পণ্য প্রস্তুত নয়।

• তাদের পণ্যটি প্রস্তুত ছিল কিন্তু টোকেনের কোনো ব্যাবহার ছিলোনা: টোকেনের ব্যাবহার না থাকা আরো একটি প্রকল্পে বিনিয়োগের পর আমি এখনও ৫০শতাংশ ক্ষতিতে আছি। এই প্রকল্পটি ইতিমধ্যেই তাদের সেবা শুরু করেছে এবং তাদের একটি বড় কমিউনিটি রয়েছে কিন্তু এই মুহূর্তে তাদের টোকেনের কোনো উপযুক্ত ব্যাবহার নেই তাই বিনিয়োগকারীরা তাদের আনলক হওয়া টোকেন বিক্রি করার ফলে টোকেনের দাম কমে গিয়েছে।

• পরামর্শ: কোনও সঠিক ইউটিলিটি বাস্তবায়ন করার জন্য টিমের জন্য অপেক্ষা করুন যাতে বাজারে সেই টোকেনের চাহিদা থাকে।

• এক্সচেঞ্জে তালিকাভুক্তের মিথ্যা প্রতিশ্রুতি: এই প্রকল্পটির সাথে আমার এক বন্ধু পরিচয় করে দেয়। তারা বিনিয়োগকারীদের আকৃষ্ট করতে জাল এক্সেঞ্জ তালিকাভুক্তের প্রমাণ ব্যবহার করে। ফলে আমি আর আমার বন্ধু দুজনেই এই প্রকল্পটিতে প্রতারণার শিকার হই।

• পরামর্শ: প্রকৃত প্রকল্পগুলি কখনোই তাদের এক্সচেঞ্জে তালিকাভুক্তের চুক্তি জনসম্মুখে প্রকাশ করে না। তাই যারা এসব করে তাদের বিশ্বাস করা উচিত না।

• অবাস্তব মুনাফা আশা করা: অন্য একটি প্রকল্পে আমার প্রত্যাশিত মূল্য খুব বেশি ছিল।  হয়তো আমি আমার পূর্বের ক্ষতি পুনরুদ্ধার করতে আগ্রহী ছিলাম তাই আমি মূল্য সম্পর্কে ভুল ধারণা করেছি।

• পরামর্শ: সব প্রকল্প শিবা ইনুর মতো হবে না। এজন্য সর্বদা একটি যুক্তিসঙ্গত মূল্য সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করুন।

• মুনাফা সরিয়ে না নেওয়া: আমার বিনিয়োগের সময় সঠিক ছিলো।। আমি ৬০% এর উপরে লাভে ছিলাম কিন্তু অন্যদের মন্তব্য দেখে আমি লোভী হয়ে যাই। তাই আমি প্রফিট বুক করিনি এবং সেই টোকেন মূল্য আমার এন্ট্রি থেকে ১০০০% কমে যায়।

• পরামর্শ: প্রজেক্ট যতই শক্তিশালী হোক না কেন সর্বদা লাভ বুক করুন।  একবার আপনার প্রাথমিক বিনিয়োগ সরিয়ে নেওয়া হয়ে গেলে আপনার লাভ নিয়ে খেলুন।

• মিথ্যা তথ্য দ্বারা বিভ্রান্ত হওয়া: প্রকল্পটি ভালো ছিল এবং প্রত্যাশিত মূল্য সম্পর্কে আমার রায় যুক্তিসঙ্গত ছিল। দাম আমার প্রত্যাশিত স্তরের উপরে চলে গিয়েছিলো কিন্তু আমি ইতিমধ্যেই খুব অল্প লাভ নিয়ে প্রকল্প থেকে বের হয়ে যাই। মূলত আমি কিছু কমিউনিটি সদস্যদের নেতিবাচক প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখে ভয় পেয়ে যাই।

• পরামর্শ: কমিউনিটি সদস্যদের নেতিবাচক প্রতিক্রিয়া দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হবেন না।  কখনও কখনও তারা বিনিয়োগকারীদের কাছ থেকে আরও টোকেন সংগ্রহ করার জন্য ভুয়া মন্তব্য করে।

• টিম মেম্বারদের বিষয়ে গুরুত্ব না দেওয়া: টিমের সদস্যদের সম্পর্কে সঠিকভাবে না জেনেই একটি প্রকল্পে বিনিয়োগ করে ফেলি। পরে জানা যায় মালিক এবং দলের সদস্যদের সমস্ত অ্যাডমিন আইডি ভুয়া।

• পরামর্শ: একটি প্রকল্পের সাফল্যের জন্য একটি শক্তিশালী দল খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। একটি প্রকল্পের দলের সদস্যদের সামগ্রিক অভিজ্ঞতা যাচাই করুন।

• প্রকল্পের সদস্যদের উপর অত্যধিক আস্থা: আরেকটি প্রকল্প যা আমি এখনও একটি অনন্য প্রকল্প বলে মনে করি তা সঠিক টিমের অভাবে কার্যকর হতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে। তাদের বেশিরভাগ ডেভেলপমেন্ট ডেটলাইন বিলম্বিত হয়েছে তাই দাম ওঠানামা করেছে।

• পরামর্শ: যেকোন প্রকল্পের পিছনে থাকা দলকে বিশ্বাস করা উচিত তবে সবরকম খারাপের জন্যও প্রস্তুত থাকা ভালো।

• ছোট কমিউনিটি: কখনও কখনও একটি প্রকল্প দুর্দান্ত হতে পারে কিন্তু কমিউনিটির সমর্থন ছাড়া এটি কখনো সাফল্য অর্জন করতে পারেনা।

Actually investing in a well-established altcoin and a startup project requires a different type of approach. You can invest in top altcoin only by analyzing the price action of the market but for a new project, a lot of things have to be checked first. This is where I made my mistake and lose my money. Most of my projects where I lose money is a startup projects. So if you don't have enough experience then start with a small amount.

This post was actually for newcomers who invest blindly ignoring many facts. Many of them came from the stock and forex market and they think this is the same here too. There are so many things that need to keep in mind when investing in a crypto project and I think I have mentioned most of them. If you face anything new which is not mentioned in the OP then mention it will add the end of my post.

Actually, that is the reason I post it here because I can see Bored Ape NFT got so much hype and it will be easy for a newbie to fall for those traps. Every day scammers are getting smarter but social media channels also verify those advertisements before promoting them. Investing money to promote the fake sites is not something new.



Yes I can remember meme coin hype and there was so many of them with just copy cate project. Scammers always use trendy topic to fool people.

I saw that too but he was also talking about some coins from coinbase pro which he wants to buy from the gate exchange because of coinbase high withdrawal fees. Coinbase Pro is a top-tier exchange and FTX as well. So a project that is listed on coinbase pro has a high possibility that it is already listed on binance and FTX as well. Gate exchange usually list tons of token every month so OP probably found his project in gate but his coin could be found on more quality exchange like FTX as well.

My career in the crypto sector is not very long. I do have some experience with forex markets but when I came to the crypto market everything was different except price action charts. Very soon I realized that investing in crypto and making financial gain requires extensive knowledge about the crypto space and the ability to post mortem a crypto project to know every detail about it.

The experience could be different from person to person but I am going to mention some mistakes that I made while investing in crypto which influence the final result of my investment. I will not mention the names of those projects for not to demerit them because I am responsible for many of those mistakes.

• Product was not ready: That project looks promising but their product was still in development mode. I made a huge sum of investment but the price of the token keeps falling because no utility exists by then. Lose 90% of my portfolio.

• Lesson: Do not invest in a token that doesn't have any utility or whose product is not ready.

• Product was ready but token doesn't have utility: Another project where I am still 50% down. This project is already live and they have a big community but right now their token doesn't have any proper utility so investors keep selling their unlocked token.

• Lesson: Wait for the team to implement any proper utility so that market has demand for that token.

• Fake exchange listing promises: This project was introduced by one of my friends who was also got scammed by seeing their exchange listing documents. They use fake documents to attract investors.

• Lesson: Do not fall for any project who shows their exchange listing agreements because this data is not disclosed in public. Genuine projects don't do that.

• Over expected price: In another project my expected price was too high. Maybe I was eager to recover my previous loss so I misjudge the price.

• Lesson: Do not think your project will be another Shiba Inu. Always think about a reasonable price.

• Didn't booked profit: Everything was perfect and well-timed. I was 60% up but I become greedy by seeing other people's comments. So I didn't booked profit and that token price dipped 1000% from my entry.

• Lesson: Always book profit no matter how strong the project is. Once your initial investment is out then play with your profits.

• Influenced by funds: Project shows great promises and my judgment about the expected price was reasonable. Price did go above my expected level but I was already out with a very small profit. I was afraid by seeing some community members saying negative feedback about the project.

• Lesson: Do not be influenced by some random community member. Sometimes they create fud to accumulate more tokens from panic sellers.

• Didn't care about team members: Invested in a project without properly checking details about team members. Later found out that all the admin id belonging to the owner and team members are fake.

• Lesson: A strong team is very important for a project's success. Check for the overall experience of the team members of a project.

• Too much trust in team members: Another project which I still think is a unique idea but failed to execute its plan. Most of their development dateline was delayed so the price did fluctuate.

• Lesson: We should trust the team behind the project but better be ready for the worst.

• Small community: Sometimes a project idea could be great but without community support, it's a failure.

These are some list of mistakes that I made till now and it seems I made every kind of mistake an investor possibly can. But I think every great success has a long list of failures. So I hope some new members will find some points useful and a real-time experience is always the best place for knowledge.

If you want to withdraw with a small withdrawal fee, then you can check the FTX exchange too if that token is listed there. FTX offers one of the lowest withdrawal fees of all exchanges. Even lower than binance for many coins.

Level up to member: When I first came to this forum it was never my intention to rank up. I was just trying to make some conversation with other members to acquire some knowledge and pass my time. Actually, I didn't know about this ranking system and when I tried to add some images for my post I figured out newbie can not do that. Actually, my first intention was to get to jr members so that I can add images to my post. So i did increase my activity because i have already got more than one merit by that time. No, they are not paying anything. Theoretically, they are bankrupt because they have a large sum of debt that they need to pay but they don't have that much reserve left. Their loan is more than 70% of their reserve and you are talking about getting better in time. But how they will do that when they can only offer trade through their native currency which no one will accept. International trade is mostly done with USD which they do not have right now.

No companies will occupy and sell their natural resource to get back their loan. Sri Lanka can not pay their debt by itself but lender by organizations and countries will take it anyway. So the only losing side is Sri Lanka.

I saw that 16,117 profile has been deleted. Does anyone know in which conditions profiles have been deleted from the forum? They were inactive for a long time or any other violation? I think meta is the right place to ask this matter but just asked by seeing the info in OP.

Does that matter if it's a trusted project or not when we are talking about speculation? In a bear market, every project goes down except a stable coin. If you just want to increase the number of your coin no matter what the price is then staking is profitable. It's suitable for long-term holders but for the short-term holders, this could be painful. Staking is much better than bank interest but you have to understand in which occasion.
