I used to be a fan of Bitcoin Cash, but someone on here said it's failed because Roger failed to push this project to his expectations, really? I don't agree, because this project still have 4B market cap right now, the failed fork of Bitcoin are Bitcoin Private, Bitcoin white and few others, Bitcoin Cash hasn't failed yet.
It's better to buy Bitcoin because BCH is a altcoin and with that insane market cap it will be hard to make some good multiplier gains in the next bull market, I would rather go for SEI, and few other projects that made it launch on Binance launchpad since the beginning of this bear market.

The most popular way of doing it is Dollar Cost averaging or DCA. Basically, buy some BTC every time the price dips. Doing this in the bear market is obviously stressful so you gotta doing it while the bear market is over and has calm down already.

Dollar cost averaging works very well for me since the beginning of this bear market, but I don't think that DCA in every dump is the best strategy, because we can keep going sideways for weeks and suddenly things change from bear market to a bull market. The present market is identical to the 2015 market movement, Let's not forget that the dump of 2020 hit that hard because of a COVID-19 virus outbreak, it's better to keep DCA whenever you have the spare money, and if a new dump happens it's still all good. Do the math, maybe Bitcoin can do 5x max, your money will be 10,000, Imagine you DCA per week into Bitcoin and all you have invested so far is 2,000$? The higher you can afford to invest the better, this is why I like exposing myself to other altcoins too, 50% of my crypto portfolio is Bitcoin and the rest is altcoin.
I can remember in 2021 during the bull market, I think somewhere in April, I invested 1,500$ in a altcoin, I went away with 35,000$, if I have invested this money in a bear market, I would have made more because I got in when the market is already skyrocketing.

The thing about Bitcoin transaction is if you don't check by yourself through mempool.space or other you could be spending more money than you should just for transaction only, I like that you come on here and ask, when I was a newbie I always thought that the higher the BTC you are sending the higher your transaction fee must be, and since my wallet as adjustable transaction fee I will increase it myself depending on how my BTC I want to send.
I was a clown when it comes to transaction with Bitcoin, I've sent too much until I came on this forum, I learnt that even your very own Bitcoin wallet can charge you more than they should, I use trust wallet and when I want to make transaction that always charge me double, if it's 1$ on memepool, the wallet will charge 2$, days ago I spent 0.29$ on transaction fee but on default, trust wallet wanted to use 0.60$.
