Most likely you are the owner of the site that is obviously looking like a scam site. This is your first post in this forum, you have neither asked any other question anywhere nor made any suggestion whatsoever,  maybe the reason you created this account is to push this scam site to collect some Sats.

I don't know why but I was thinking the same. Most newbies in this forum are not genuine newbies. Even if they are genuine newbie, some of them are here just to promote their shit. We have seen a couple of accounts promoting a single scam trading website a couple of weeks ago. Turnes out those accounts were handled by the same person. I highly doubt that the account owner is the owner of that scam site as well. I am curious why they promote their website with a negative point of view. Do they still get visitors by promoting it negatively?

So, if you could do that, it would be very nice. If you don't have time, I can do it somewhen later.  Smiley

When I saw the pictures were outdated, I started downloading them and gathering all of them, and I was about to write it. Now I see you are already aware and you wanted to fix it. Since I already downloaded and uploaded them to talkimg, I am posting them here so you can fix the OP in a few minutes. I have maintained the image serial. So, just replacing the link would be fine.

844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it’s important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings on: November 07, 2023, 08:46:14 AM
Telling a friend that I have many coins in my wallet does not imply that they can gain access to my wallet without my permission...

This is a fact. That does not mean you are safe. I believe you read the OP where 1miau pointed out a couple of possible things that can happen to anyone and why you shouldn't tell everyone that you have Bitcoin and the amount. I feel like I have seen similar threads somewhere in this forum. Possibly, it was influenced by 1miau.

Let's say someone kidnaps your loved ones and asks for Bitcoin, and then they will release your loved ones. What would you do? They won't use bank transfers or centralized services where you can know who they are. But how would you track someone if they can rob your Bitcoin?
845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Uncomfirmed Transaction on: November 07, 2023, 08:08:24 AM
It's crazy how fee rates get jacked up once Bitcoin begins to surge in price. Yesterday, it was 52 sat/vbyte when I checked because I wanted to make a transfer. Now that I checked again, it's 48 sat/vbyte. I don't know what OP got as the bearest minimum for a transfer when they made theirs.

I have checked, too, and according to the mempool, even 35 sat/vB is a low priority. This is insane. Spending more than a dollar for $50 transactions is too much already.

Now, here's the thing for those who bemoan lack of mass adoption for Bitcoin. I think this fee thing is a major part of the problem for Bitcoin, not necessarily lack of government support or approval.
I agree with you as well. If we consider that mass adoption will increase the number of transactions, the mempool will get congested as it has for the last couple of days. Would you spend that much money as fee-only? Do you remember how congested the mempool was when the BRC-20 tokens craze was there? Most of the time we see lightning networks as alternatives, but that's not a proper solution.

Bump!

Hey BitcoinGirl.Club, please don't say you forgot about this thread once again.  Cheesy
Both LOL. I had to reset my PC few weeks ago after seeing the message from tech30338. Then I forgot about decrypting his message. Anyway, you literally stole two merits from me, to be honest I do not have even a two digit smerit but I gave my best for the tutorial you made. Good job.

Thank you. I barely reset my computer. I did not reset my computer in the last four years, but a month ago I accidentally deleted some windows files from my C drive which is the reason my system wasn't booting anymore. Then I had to reset it so I could set it up in the dual boot. I tried Fedora and then moved to Debian. It was a frustrating week but it ended very nicely.

One of our local members already writing a tutorial for mobile users about how they can run kali linux on android devices. If he posts it, I have a tutorial ready for Linux users to use PGP in Linux, after that, mobile users will be able to use PGP as well (They already can using different mobile apps like OpenKeychain)
847  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 07, 2023, 05:57:01 AM
@Ratimov: feel free to retaliate, that seems to be your thing. Just know that the users who excluded me are not exactly the most upstanding citizens of Bitcointalk. You'll be in terrible company:
It's true and this part made me laugh when I was reading it. But it sounds like you are threatening him not to do that.
LOL. I got the same vibe but I don't think LoyceV threatening him.

Those who have not removed him from their trust list, not even felt to write a few words in this topic, just ignoring everything about this topic and the other topics created in the last few weeks, I think someone should investigate the feedback they left, the people they trust and distrust, the merits they sends and receives. I doubt we will not find unnecessary positive feedback with no trade reference, trust list with backscratching and merit fans to each others.

Do you eliminate the possibility that the majority of them do not use any kind of Notification bots and ignore the reputation board? I have seen the stats from TryNinja that only 500 users use his Telegram bot and I don't know about LoyceV's notification website users yet. But I highly doubt all of them are aware of this thread. Even if they know about it, I doubt they have read the OP and the discussion happened in the last couple of days. Someone need a couple of cups of coffee to finish reading the whole thing to understand what happened.

Wink

I am trying to figure out how PGP works in Android. If I manage to understand, I will write a tutorial for Android users too.
Cheers!

For Android, I use it in Termux CLI
Oh, Thanks for letting me know. I have to try it because a lot of my locals do not use desktops, and most of them use Android devices. So, I can help them if I could use it on my Android.

By the way I write about GPG in the Spanish local forum
GPG Tutorial express en español
I had a quick look, but I do not understand Spanish. I have used an auto translator, and it seems to be a good guide. BTW is it for Linux, or is it for Windows? Or was it for Mobile devices? I was unable to get it.

Learn Bitcoin,  Smiley

[2] https://www.ryanscomputers.com/transcend-esd260c-250gb-usb-3.1-gen-2-type-c-silver-portable-ssd

[Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message (Linux Only)
[Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint -mdayonliner- English
PGP Tutorial Bangla

Hi BitcoinTalk!

I have re-posted mdayonliner [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint because the images of main thread was broken and the author is not active anymore. As Husna QA suggested, I decided to write a tutorial for Linux users.

➥ More PGP Tutorials:

➥ Install Gnupg and gpa:

Let's get started!
Open your terminal and paste this command line
Code:
sudo apt-get install gnupg2 gpa

If you have given the root privilege already, it won't ask for the password. If you haven't, please write your system password, and it should install gnupg2 and gpa. Look at the screenshot below;

Quote

➥ Generate Key:
Paste this command line in your terminal
Code:
gpg --full-generate-key
, and it will ask what kind of key you want to generate. RSA and RSA are the default, and I will generate the RSA and RSA one. To generate RSA and RSA keys, type 1 and enter.

RSA keys can be from 1024 bits to 4096 bits long. 3072 is the default one, but I am creating 4096 here. So write 4096 and hit enter. See the image below;

Quote

Now, you can set the expiration date of your keys. 0 defines the key won't expire. I am going with 0. Write 0 and hit enter. Write Y and hit enter again.
It should ask for your real name (You don't have to write your real name, of course), email, and comment. I am writing mine. Then, write O and hit enter again. It will ask for your passphrase, write your passphrase, and it should generate your keys. See the image below;

Quote

Now paste this command line
Code:
sudo gpa
If you do not get any errors, please skip the next part.

If you get the error
Code:
failed to load module canberra-gtk-module
it could be a reason for being unable to create your keys even though it shows the keys were generated. If you are on an Ubuntu or Debian system, first apply this
Code:
sudo apt update
and then install Libcanberra
Code:
sudo apt install libcanberra-gtk-module libcanberra-gtk3-module -y

After that, again try
Code:
sudo gpa
, and it should open the GUI of GNU Privacy Assistant, and you can create your keys from here. I believe you already know how to do that.

Ok. I have generated my keys already, and you can see them below;

Quote

➥ Export Public Key:
To export your public key, right-click on your key and select Export keys...

Quote

Select your destination and write a name with .txt extension. In my case, I wrote publickey.txt

To see your public keys, open the file. In my case, this is my public key
Code:

There we go. We are done already. Let me know if I made any mistake here because I have been using Linux for a month only.
If you face any problem, post here, and I will try to help fix it. Even If I couldn't do it, there are a lot of community members who can step up.

My ratings won't show, so it doesn't matter, but since you mentioned it, they were promoting a phishing/fake wallet/link, that's why the topic was removed by mods.

Of course, it matters digaran!
No matter what people did with you. You should not do what they did with you. If you believe they used the system incorrectly (which I doubt), you should not do the same. If you do the same, what is the difference between you and them? I am not in the DT network, and I am very far from that because several DT members already added me to their exclusion list. That does not really mean I have to use the system however I want. The only way to get rid of it (get rid of their exclusion) is by contributing positively and showing them that I am improving.

I believe I don't have to ask them to remove the exclusion once they notice I have improved myself. If I continue using the system incorrectly, it won't fix things. Let's say ten people distrust you at this moment. If they see you are using the system incorrectly, more people will distrust you. But If they see you have removed your old posts/feedback that are controversial and using the system correctly, they are likely to remove you from their exclusion list. That's what I feel.

I have no idea what you're referring to; please don't clarify the above; and let's just move forward and not return to wherever it is that quote came from.  LOL.

858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Plan to Make the Most of Your Bitcoin Investment Before the Halving? on: November 05, 2023, 09:02:34 AM
  • I turned my apartment into a shared one, meaning I got a flatmate and used the money paid to buy more Bitcoins.
  • No more buying new clothes, shoes, phones, or electronic devices. No more eating out. I'll cook all my meals. The money saved will be used to buy more Bitcoins.
  • This month, I'm selling off my car and I'll start using the train for commuting to work or any other essential place. Therefore, unless it is absolutely necessary, my social life is going to suffer for a little while. This delay of gratification is worth it.
  • I didn't renew my gym membership. I purchased some dumbbells and barbells to start working out from home. The money supposed to be spent on the gym membership will be used to buy more Bitcoins.

That is too much, to be honest. I am not going to do these things, unfortunately. All I am going to do is hold my signature payments as long as I can hold them. No pressure at all. I have other income sources where I can live very well. I don't have any plans to Buy Bitcoin at this moment. My Signature payment is like the DCA method. I am getting a couple of hundred sats every week, and I am planning to hold it as long as I can. If I need some money from my signature payment, I am willing to sell it just like I did last week. It depends from person to person. I don't know how much you make and what is your target. But my target is to gather a couple of thousand dollars. Of course I am not going to hold anything significant.
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: November 05, 2023, 08:57:13 AM
Hello, I've read your entire topic, and I'd like to share my opinion with you, I'd like to suggest Trust Wallet as one of the best wallets I've used It has an amazing work plan, is highly secure, and offers a great deal of privacy. With its 12-word system  you can create a strong account and  that you can't be hacked or  something else . Your money is kept safe and under your control; you just need to safeguard those 12 words While there are other wallets available .Trust Wallet is the best choice for me.

Trust wallet is the best wallet because it gives you full control of your Bitcoin, and it has multi-currency options. But I don't think they are trusted enough because once Binance takes over Trust Wallet, they become a closed-source wallet app. You have no option to check what changes they made in their coding and if they have something bad in it.

Other expert Bitcoiners suggest not to use Trust Wallet. You can use other open-source wallet app/software that is open source. So I don't use Trust Wallet and Do not recommend anyone to use it either.
860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How TryNinja's Notifier Bot Can Make your life easier on: November 05, 2023, 08:50:15 AM
This feature can help everyone as well. You don't want to miss any signature campaigns or threads from Hhampuz, Royse777 or Little Mouse. You can add them to your tracked users list to get notified every time they create new threads. Bounty Hunters can add bounty managers to your tracked users list.

Are you serious, adding campaign managers to your tracking list? It's too much focus on the forum which can be harmful sometimes.
I have not used any bot before. The forum seems nice at the moment, and if someone wants to ask you something, he will definitely send you a private message, but some members may need this bot, and it may be useful to the majority, especially if you spend a lot of time or have an activity in one of long threads.

I am damn serious. Can you please elaborate on why you think it could be harmful? Let's say I am tracking Hhampuz for now and I will get notified if Hhampuz creates new threads. Usually, Campaign managers create signature campaign threads and contest threads. Most of the managers do not create useless threads. Even they create a thread once every few weeks or even months.

I don't understand why It will harm someone to get one or two notifications in a month or so. Let's say I am not wearing a signature at this moment but I am looking for a campaign to join, I am sure this bot can help me get notified when new threads get created. I don't know what is harmful here  Smiley
