841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 29, 2023, 01:32:54 PM
By looking at the odds, it's clear that City will come away with three points. The Manchester derby is today; on which team are you betting? Because they are the favorite, I am betting on the away team to win in a stimulating scenario. On second thinking, Pep Guardiola is after the EPL crown and is not going to give up in permitting Spurs to sit comfortably above the league table. Manchester United hosts Manchester City at Old Trafford; the game will be resilient, and I'm confident the Red Devils' manager, Erik Ten Hag, is only capable of employing a defensive approach against the City.

It's easy to predict that Manchester City will win this game. They are the better team and are in better form. They are also more motivated to win, but this is a derby. Derby matches are kind of difficult to predict because anything can happen. It's best to expect anything at all.
We've seen Manchester United win these matches when nobody gave them a chance, especially during Ole's time.
A safer bet will be to bet on Manchester City, but don't be so certain that's all I'm saying. If I were to bet, it'll be on City too but just know it's a debt, nothing is certain.
842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you were to unlearn something about BTC…. on: October 27, 2023, 09:42:17 PM
You make it sound very complicated.
To me, it's quite simple. If I come across a topic you have little or no knowledge about I just read through the OP and the comments, and if I find the topic interesting and intriguing, I can research on it further, but if it's not interesting to me, I just read the comments and move on.
If it's a topic I know and I have something to say, I say it.

There's no point in making a topic about something you do not really know,  except maybe You're asking questions and looking for more explanations.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 27, 2023, 07:04:51 PM
If Xavi forces Lewandowski to play, then of course playing Lewandowski in a difficult match like this and his condition has not fully recovered then it will be a very big risk. After all, I think it would be better for Xavi to keep Lewandowski rested at this moment to make Lewandowski fully recover this season, because there are still many important matches as time goes by. Because anyway, if in fact many of the main players are injured this moment, then at least Xavi can apply a defensive game and there is no need to force players who have not fully recovered because it could be the wrong decision.

Xavi is not going to force any player to play. If the player has not been declared fit by the medical team, they're not going to play. The fact that they are training with the first team means that they're fit to play. Not starting them or playing them in a game like this is only cautionary.

Lewandoski and Frenkie look to be the most fit among all the returning players. This is because their injuries were not muscular injuries and they can't have a relapse. A game like this needs Lewandoski and Frenkie.

Leapfrogging Real Madrid at this point of the season is very crucial. For now, the league is the most important competition for Barcelona. They just need one more win to guarantee qualification from the group stage of the Champions League and that shouldn't be a problem for them. So they need to win every game in the league to create a gap between them and Real Madrid before the end of the year.
I believe Frenkie and Lewandoski should start tomorrow's El Classico. That is a match that Barcelona needs to win.
844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may not hit $24,750 again in 2023 - I'm bullish till 2024 on: October 27, 2023, 06:53:25 PM
Are we really sure that it's not going to? I hope your analysis is wrong because I've been slowly accumulating bitcoin and I have another upcoming big money coming and I want to make sure I'm buying a lot of bitcoin for a discounted price. But hey, if that's not going to be the case, I guess I'll just buy bitcoin in December and hope that I still get a lot of Bitcoin value out of the money I'm going to get.

If you intend to to HODL the Bitcoin you want to buy for a long time then I'd say you can go ahead and buy. The price of Bitcoin now is around 33k and I have always speculated that Bitcoin will reach $35k to 40k before the end of the year. I agree with OP that Bitcoin won't see $24k again this year but that doesn't discourage you from buying.
If you intend to HODL then you might still make a lot of profit after Bitcoin halving next year. Hodlng Bitcoin for a long time is a great investment.

It's all speculation, nothing is certain. Bitcoin might drop to $20k before the end of the year or get to $40k, we never really know so if you're hodling just buy it when you want. It's best to buy the dip, but if you keep waiting for the dip, you might end up buying at a higher price.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto security tools you need before farming airdrops on: October 27, 2023, 03:10:50 PM
A common piece of advice to people who take part in an airdrop is to use a different wallet for airdrops. This is good and it's true but that alone won't protect you from scams and hacks.
You might as well use different emails and social media accounts for airdrops but that won't also guarantee your safety.
Most, if not all airdrops require you to follow their social media channels on X (Twitter), Telegram, and maybe more. You click a link to get to those sites and the link might be a phishing link, you never know. So whether you use a different email, wallet, or social media account, your device is exposed to the virus.

For me, the best way to use a different device for your airdrop and don't have anything serious or important on that device.
So if you can afford it and if it's worth it, a different device is best.
846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Experience is key, go for it. on: October 26, 2023, 10:53:36 PM
I agree, but you have to know that experience comes with time. Experience comes with the learning process because I believe we are always learning.
Let's take trading for example. If you're learning to trade, you'll need to practice what you're learning and you do that by actually trading. But you have to know that you're still learning. You don't have to trade big amounts. Just small amounts that can help you learn.
I don't believe in demo accounts for learning to trade (just a personal opinion) because they're not the real thing.
So while learning and trading little amounts you begin to get experience on the job you're learning. Both the losses and the wins will be part of the experience and you learn from them.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 26, 2023, 08:42:55 PM
Just so I'm clear, when you say live sports betting you mean betting on a sports game that is already on right? Like the game is live? If that's what you mean then I prefer virtual betting.

Not that virtual betting is ultimately better, but in live betting, the odds are usually smaller. If the odds are big then it's very difficult for that option to play. For instance, betting on a football team that is already losing 2-0 to win looks more difficult to happen. I know there are many options to play but you have to be watching the game to make the right bets.
While virtual better can make you lose more money, it's better if you're lucky.
If I gamble and I've not won in virtual betting after 3 straight bets, I end it for that period.
Virtual betting needs much more discipline or you could empty your account.
848  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All Wars Are Bankers Wars on: October 26, 2023, 03:11:51 PM
If Hitler and Stalin and Trump had gone about it in the right way, the banks would have been broken up. We wouldn't have the wars of today. The economy would be thriving. America would have become great again. And the world would have peace.

I'd like you to tell me the right way to wipe out a particular race or entire religion
What do you mean by "Jewish Bankers"? Are 6 million people Jewish Bankers? Lol.
Hitler was born in Austria, he grew up in Vienna.
Vienna at the time had a mayor that hated Jews. Being anti-Jew was a thing in the region at the time. So his hatred for the Jews began at a very tender age.

After the First World War, propaganda spread that Germany didn't lose the war on the battlefield but that they were betrayed by Jews. The popular term was "a stab in the back". It was easy for people who already hated Jews to buy into this propaganda.
Hitler even blamed the Jews for the "Treaty of Versailles".
He blamed the Jews for unemployment in Germany. If a rat died in Germany at the time, it was the Jews' fault according to Hitler.
Hitler capitalized on that hate and wanted to exterminate the Jews.
So Hitler didn't hate "Jewish bankers", he hated Jews.

And how naive can you be to believe a man who was ready to kill millions, and wipe out a full race and religion would make the world a better place somehow? He doesn't have it in him. All he knew was hatred. Hitler hated the Jews more than he loved Germany because if he loved his country more he wouldn't keep sending men to die despite seeing that he was losing the war.
849  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children in this current society on: October 26, 2023, 02:25:35 PM
Children need to be loved. Parents need to understand that just giving birth to a child and providing for the child is not love.
Parents should have a close relationship with their kids. Kids should be able to talk to their parents freely about anything.
There's no point in being like a master to your children where you tell them to do and not do a thing and they just say "Yes ma/sir".
Be like a friend to your children. Let them be comfortable with you enough to come to you with every little business that goes on in their lives.
If they see someone they have a crush on, they should be able to talk to you about it. If they do something wrong outside, they should be comfortable enough to tell you about it. This way you can teach them the right way of life.

When you have a relationship with your kids, they respect you, and they idolize you. That way it'll be easier to teach them. Children are smart, they may not fully understand but they'll see how much you try for them, and that way they'll be more inclined to listen to you and do what you'd like even when they're not where you are.
Try not to do what you don't want them doing at any point in their lives, it doesn't matter if it's in front of them or behind them.
850  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world economy and global systemic terrorism. on: October 25, 2023, 10:37:43 PM
Before when I was young, it was just like a conspiracy that have been published on the web and as a curious guy that search for things like that before, I can't believe that it tends to be a real thing that there are countries or big people that are on the back of these terrorists being funded by them.

I realized a long time ago that in most wars or conflicts going on anywhere, people are benefiting from it. So if there are people who benefit from wars, they'll find a way to start one if they have the power.
I've learned that things are never as they seem. Most times when things happen we may not know the end game, but I always believe there is one.

In some parts of Africa, when oil is discovered in a certain region, that region goes into an internal conflict almost immediately. These conflicts are sponsored by unseen forces. They have an endgame, they know what they want to gain out of the conflict.

These terrorists and militant groups are sponsored by Countries, corporations, and individuals because they have something to gain from them. We might not always see it, but there is something they gain.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 25, 2023, 10:05:03 PM
PSG and Manchester City played really great today, they really deserved to win their respective games. Doubtful PSG managed to silence their critics with a 3-0 win at home today, so I hope they are starting to realize that PSG's battle is not over yet.

It was always obvious PSG would qualify out of that group. People were only doubtful because of how inconsistent PSG is. I have said before that although that group is quite tough, all the teams there are inconsistent.
Milan and Dortmund are teams that always disappoint, and so is PSG.
PSG just happens to have the most quality in the group.

It's not over yet for anybody, but I don't see Milan qualifying. I think Newcastle and Dortmund are going to be the teams to fight for the second qualifying spot. It's a tough group that is still widely open for anybody to qualify.

852  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Careful scammers and hackers using mail spoofing on: October 25, 2023, 03:26:45 PM
Aside from not clicking on phishing links, and being careful with our passwords and emails, we should be careful with the kind of things we download or install into our devices.
I've seen people who download and use a different kind of keyboard software from the phone that comes with their phone. These keyboards have access to everything you type which includes passwords and every other personal details.

Also, check for what you grant permission to on your device.
For example, you'll see an app that tells the weather has permission to read your messages, what for exactly?

In theory that is the best option but if you do that i recomend you to use a password manager that can be sincronized between devices because it can be dificult to track every password that you use.

So what happens when hackers somehow gain access to that password manager? That has made you very vulnerable.
Trusting a third-party app is never a good idea.
Yeah, I know they're probably more secure, but they're human too and they can make errors and that error can lead to hackers gaining access to their system.
853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 25, 2023, 12:00:25 PM
As far you're hodling for a long time then it's not a high price.
We can speculate all we want but the truth is we can't say with certainty how the price will be in the short run, but I can say with a degree of certainty that the price will go high in the long run to an extent that $35k it is today will be a relatively low price.
If nothing else, Bitcoin halving will surely make us see a bull run, maybe not as much or high as in other years but Bitcoin would experience a bull run because speculations will increase the demand for Bitcoin thereby increasing the price.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 24, 2023, 08:54:43 PM
Talking about confidence, Bayern Munich comes out first because they're strong and eligible to win major trophies. When it comes to Bayern Munich, there's absolutely no team in there group that would be able to match the same level of energy with them. Thomas Tuchel knows basically the strategies to implies on his players, he doesn't disappoint and portrayed good results for the team. Galatasaray did their best to hold Bayern Munich at tough point but failed to consistently defend their territory, the Bavarians invaded so easily, why is that? It's simple, Bayern Munich frontlines are competitive and pose a big threat to their every opponent they face.

Somehow I'm not totally convinced by Bayern Munich. I know that they'll top their group, winning ever match if possible but I don't see them as winners of this champions league.
They were outplayed by Galatasaray in the first half and assuming they were not so waste, they could have won the match.
If it was a big and clinical team Bayern player against,  I don't think the score line will be in favor of Bayern.
Tuchel's playing style as a coach has never really impressed me. I guess we just have to wait and see how things turn out for Bayern.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 24, 2023, 08:19:34 PM
I doubt Modric will want to join a league like that, which many people have labelled as a money-making league. A league where players go to make money rather than for the pure joy of playing football. Not only Modric, but also Kroos, is in wonderful form, and the top teams in the SPL would want to have them play for them, which will be extremely tough to do at the moment. Maybe they should concentrate on other players, considering none of these players have expressed an interest in playing for them.

It's football bro, we've seen more shocking transfers happen in football so either or both of Modric leaving won't be a surprise.
Kroos has been very critical of people going to Saudi league but I think he's just been hypocritical. If a player that is 33 and has played all his life at the top level and is at the twilight of his career decides to get more money before he retires then I don't see anything wrong with that. I only have a problem with youngsters joins the Saudi league, not veterans that have played about 12-15 years at top level.
I believe Modric would be leaving Madrid at the end of the season, but it seems he might be heading to the MLS. I've seen reports of Inter Miami being interested in him.

I think they are stronger this season compared to last season because they won Real Madrid this season, and with the momentum they carry this season, I am sure they will fight for the league title along with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid's problem in recent years have always been consistency. They always struggle to be in top form for the whole of the season. A time might come when they begin to drop points unnecessarily which doesn't help, especially when you have teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid fighting for the league.
If they can stay consistent this season then we might be seeing a very interesting title fight from them.
856  Economy / Economics / Re: Dangers of combining company and personal funds in the same account on: October 24, 2023, 03:13:01 PM
This is why people should take The entity concept more seriously. The business is a different entity from the owners(s) so it doesn't make sense for a person to have the funds of a business in his personal account.
Even if it's a small business where only one person is involved, it would not be wise to use one account as your business and personal account.

You shouldn't start doing business when you have not registered your business with the appropriate authorities.
There are structures to make sure just one person doesn't have all the access to the company funds even if you're the owner of the company.
857  Economy / Economics / Re: World Debt Clock by nations. on: October 24, 2023, 02:23:38 PM
I'm not an economist, but I've read several times that Japan tested some very strange economic models in the past that led to exactly these results. In addition, I think that Japan (as well as some other countries) actually owe most of these debts to themselves, because it is about borrowing money that happened between various domestic institutions.

I read a while ago about how the Japanese react to the price change in Japan and how it has slowed down their economy.
Presently, Japan has an inflation rate of just over 2% and they've maintained that rate for over a decade, but studies have shown that only a very small percentage of people in Japan will buy a product or service if there is a slight price increase, meanwhile the cost of production increases.

So an increased cost of production with no change in the price of the commodity will only reduce the profit of businesses and this affects the economy because it can either force the business to employ fewer people, pay lesser salaries, produce inferior products, discourage foreign investors, etc.
As a buyer, it's good for the individuals, but it weakens the economy.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The PATRIOT Act comes to cryptocurrency on: October 23, 2023, 10:18:29 PM
People have become so used to the usual fiat/banking/centralized systems to the extent that they don't even see anything wrong with using centralized exchanges.
Even if your privacy means nothing to you, why are you so comfortable keeping your funds in a centralized exchange?
How do they sleep peacefully at night knowing they could wake up to devastating news about that exchange or that the exchange has frozen their account or the coins in it?
We don't have to be nonchalant about things like this.

And if you happen to live in the US, start contacting your representatives about this draconian piece of legislation

The sad part is that, if this works in the US, many countries would follow this path.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 21, 2023, 09:47:24 PM
Chelsea currently with Pochetino have quite good development. This means that there is visible progress in Chelsea's training pattern. It seems like the fans just have to be patient and enjoy the process. I think Chelsea should keep him. He's a good coach and has a lot of quality in the League. If they rush to change coaches, I think it will create new problems because players need to adapt again.

A couple of wins shouldn't fool you. I'm not saying Pochettino should be sacked, but saying he's a good coach for having a few wins is reaching.
We've seen Pochettino in other clubs, we know how he is, and it's the same thing he's doing at Chelsea.
He made Tottenham a formidable team, but he couldn't win any itrophy, he was inconsistent when you needed the wins the most.
The same thing happened in PSG. He won the league, but barely and that was because of the difference in quality between PSG and other French teams.
Even if Chelsea doesn't want to sack him, they should start exploring for better options because I don't think Pochettino can return them to glory.
860  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are chances of fraud very high on Binance P2P transactions ? on: October 21, 2023, 08:45:01 PM
Hacked bank accounts ? How ? If anyone has hacked a bank account, he would rather withdraw the money rather than spending it slowly to pay for the P2P deals. Wouldn't the original owner get notified that a transaction is made from his bank account without his knowledge Huh

I don't use Binance but I think what they do is steal the data of other people and use it for their Binance account. They use the details of that victim to create a fake account that they use to scam other people.
I don't think that account can be verified though, that is why it's always advisable to only deal with verified accounts, not like it's 100% secure, but it's better.
We just have to be careful of how and where we drop our personal documents because we do not know what they can be used for.
Centralized exchanges carry too many risks.
