841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 13, 2024, 11:02:57 AM
To me it's morally unacceptable to see my elderly mother gambles, i know that in some part of the world it like a normal thing, but in my own culture you can't see a woman gambles talkless of an elderly mother.
Though it's not that harmful if it's been done for fun, but it portrays an ugly picture about her if she is from my place.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 10:52:10 AM
One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.

* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .
843  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Life is precious on: January 13, 2024, 05:53:21 AM
My brother na truth you dy tlk so, life dy very important, na only person wey don die wey no get Hope again, and secondly that lady wey go commit suicide I just feel say she no dy really tell us wetin she kill herself for, because as a naija blood wey I be,  I no say we no sabi surrender, expecially to difficult living conditions, so for her to surrender and kill herself like that, e get wetin she no tell us, because hard times In naija now na normal thing.
844  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: NIJA YOUTH AND BETTING: it is draining our productive workforce on: January 12, 2024, 05:24:03 PM
My brother, no be lie you dy tlk, betting don practically take over the mindset of our youth for we country, which I believe get in own negative effect, but make we check am na, government no go just wake up one morning and put a stop to it because dy themselves never do wetin dem sopos do, which is providing jobs for the youth for we country, and na because of lack of jobs dy make most youth feel say na the best and easiest way to make money, which we, we know say na just fantasies of gamblers.
Wetin government fit do now to withdraw some youth for betting shop na to engage them, by providing jobs for them, because sometimes even the ones wey get mind to still play betting no go get chance to play am due to wrk. So that is the best way to reduce this menace to me.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 12, 2024, 10:00:02 AM
Yes,  I believe that there will always be regret just as today's market, people that sold their Bitcoin holdings too early or at a loss during the bear run, and there are also those set of people that wouldn't sell for anything less than 100k dollars, so it all boils down to how we look at it.
In binance exchange for example, we have buy orders and sell others.
You can decide to buy or sell at your own convenience price, so it's still available at today's market.
846  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest in something that worth your money on: January 12, 2024, 08:00:44 AM
My brother you really dy on point, but you know say ignorance na disease wey dy in our society wey we sopos treat first, see make I tell you, people dy easily fall into scam because their return are always too good to be true, people too like quick money, no body get dat patience to buy Bitcoin and wait.
One of my guy for my area been dy tell me about one project like dat wey dy pay am 25usdt in a day because him put 500usdt plus, I tell am say na ponzi oo, him tin say I dy play till e crash, dat time nai him eye clear.
So my brother majority of people for we country no wan wait, dem dy find quick quick money nai make dem dy fall easily into all this mess.
847  Other / Beginners & Help / Why I get less batching unlike before on: January 12, 2024, 07:47:24 AM
When I first came into the forum I easily get criticized by my actions, though I still get some sticks now but on a less note, but I have learned.

I have observed that as a newbie it is more important to learn by reading people post and comment than engaging in it, and for the few months I have been here I have really find it beneficial to me as a person in terms of knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.
My advice to my fellow newbies is learn to listen more than talking, so that you can learn something new.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 11, 2024, 05:12:08 PM
It'll boils down to where the person is and how fat the person pocket is. Citizens from the richer countries $50 is nothing to them, they can bet with it without even considering if they are going to lose, but most people in poor countries wouldn't even think about it due to the higher value of $50 in their local currency, so it all depends on how valuable is it to you as a person.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 11, 2024, 04:58:22 PM
One thing I have observe mostly about gambling is that the more effort you put into it, just to get back what you have lost,  the more you will be milk dry, so your friend saying that playing everyday gives him more opportunities to winning is just fantasies.
Let me tell you, by doing so, there are two things that will happen to him, which comes with high probability, which are addiction or financial liquidation.
So if he is truly your friend, talk to him as a friend not to go that dark ugly looking lane.
In  gambling winnings comes when you are lucky that day, it mostly comes when you least expected, so he should stop trying to force it.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin mempool and why it's getting more attention this days on: January 11, 2024, 04:22:22 PM
The Bitcoin mempool have a long history of being  an important player in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Most investors don't even know about it because their was no record of it, until 2016 when it congestions start creating awareness to the minds of not just it developers but also we the supporters.
The shocking part is that due to how fast it was, their was no record keeping of it's stats from 2010 to 2016, but look at it today, it's now gaining more attention for the wrong reason due to congestions and more adoptions.
My question is how can the mempool be improved to speed up transaction even with it congestions, aside from high fee's?
851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maybe future trade is gambling on: January 11, 2024, 05:50:57 AM
Futures trading a gamble? No I really don't think so, I feel that it's a craft that is more risky, which you must master before venturing into it. futures trading is more rewarding to those that knows the craft while gambling is mainly base on luck, so they aren't the same.
852  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: January 10, 2024, 05:27:48 PM
People dey always dey talk say power corrupt, power corrupt, yes most of us don talk am before, we dey think say na power dey corrupt person but the truth be say most of us already get corruption inside of us we only need the opportunity (power) to bring out the corruption in us. A man once said if you really want to know the person true self give him 3 things: Money, Power and Access to Sex. With this 3 things you can know any one true nature. So no be power dey corrupt, power only reveals corruption.
See make I tell you, power and influence no dy make person corrupt, but e dy bring the true colors of someone. Make we take during naira scarcity as example now, during that time, their are some set of people wey dy always complain of the government, but during naira scarcity, the pos people come even wicked pass government, because small power enter their hand, during that time na only like 5% of pos people dy take a fair price as charge.
So my brother it all boils down to who the person be, because power dy reveal the true colors of people.
853  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 10, 2024, 01:14:37 PM
Most of the point you listed here are less effective in staying poor than when you spend more than what you earn, see my brother no body plan to be poor, but the indecision and procrastinating of vital things that can change your financial state or influence your financial state  is mostly the cause.
Most poor people today have the habit of spending more than they earn, which I think is the key of them staying poor.
854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just HODL on: January 10, 2024, 09:01:54 AM
You are dam right bro, holding is the best when it comes to trading cryptocurrency. sometimes we are mostly tempted to trade futures market due to low capital which brings in low returns on spot market, but we actually don't know that we are hustling backwards by trading futures market which will get us liquidated and we will start all over again from scratch.
One thing I have understand in life and my crypto journey is that slow and consistent progress better is than rushing, which wouldn't give you a better result on the long run.
855  Other / Politics & Society / Why crime are on the rise daily on: January 09, 2024, 07:14:16 PM
I can still recall the good old days when crime was not a daily routine, but look at our society today, crime's of different types, but today I will be emphasizing on one particular issue in our society why crime rate are on the rise, which to me is really really bad.

Now People tend to give birth to children they can't Carter for, they will give birth to 8,9 children plus and they will be unable to give them a formal education, when they have grown up and they find it difficult to get a decent job, they will now be engaging in crimes of different types just to make a living.

Their is a particular tribe in my country that gives birth to a lot of children believing that the higher numbers will make them wealthy, because when the child has grown up to 4,5 year old they will send them out for begging, then be expecting returns from that child. But now due to how inflation and lack of better jobs are high in the society now, people hardly give out like before, and those children since they didn't have a formal education when they have grown, they will now be a nuisance in the society and engage in crimes just for survival.
856  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Are u trusting the process of the naija economy in 2024? on: January 09, 2024, 06:48:19 PM
See the kind funny question you dy ask, is their any process in the first place? Just few months ago this present administration enter power, everything come worst times five in terms of price of things, my brother if you dy enter market on a daily basis, nai you go know say we no even get process, talkless of trusting.
Anything wey you dy do wey dy give you ur daily bread, just do am with more effort and forget about this particular administration, because dem dy more concern with their pockets than us.
Look only the budget and the one wey dem budget for their self alone nai you go know say this people just no get our time
857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: January 09, 2024, 06:27:19 PM
When it comes to acquiring of Bitcoin, the DCA method is actually the best among all because their is never a good time to buy Bitcoin than now. I really do believe that we are still in the early days of Bitcoin, so more growth is really been expected from it. Just try even if it's $5 or $10 weekly or monthly, anything you can afford, just make sure you DCA into Bitcoin now so you won't regret later.
858  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is school really a scam? on: January 09, 2024, 05:40:48 AM
Bro school have never been a scam and will never be. You do not find a job after graduation doesn't make it a scam, how can you interact well in this forum if you are a stack illiterate.
The high rate of child birth in the country have make it very difficult to get a very good job because there are hundreds of people of the same educational level vying for the same job, so my brother school can never be a scam, we as individual just have to depend less on the government for jobs and look for a way to make our lives better.

Base on how things have became so costly and difficult in the society due to inflation, we work work work forgetting so many things we ought not to, but in life it's very important to strike a balance between working hours and time you spend with your love ones.
We might not know how important it is to strike a balance now, till we get sick, that when we will know that their is more to life than just working all through our days.
