OG - Secret quite the show so far right ? 1-1 on score and decider map looks in favor of Secret so far.

I also believe that Secret will qualify to this Major because this team have always found a way to actually win something every year and this is their last chance to actually do it. Odds are in favor of OG but I know for a fact that team fight do belong to Secret.
I also have the same thoughts based on the lineups for the third map, but still, anything can happen since OG got the meta picks.

If they win here against OG, i'd say they have the better chance at qualifying over Entity because the momentum is in their favor and it won't be easy to go against a team that kind of found their groove in the lower bracket.

Congrats to buwaytress on cashing that Uruguay special. Cheesy I also can't believe they got the second goal in the last few minutes of the match. I thought they'd park the bus against Argentina since they already have the lead.

Today's MOTD is for the England vs Malta match.
They consist of England to win with Kane to score and the other is for England to win with over 9.5 corners.

I missed this one again, and it looks like the markets are going down a few hours early instead of the usual kick-off time.

After browsing through some of the teams and their odds, I ended up going with Finland @2.02 (boosted) since they already won against Northern Ireland on the road during their first meeting and I guess the odds are this high because they're currently on a three-match losing streak.

844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 17, 2023, 01:55:45 AM
I'm also going for the spread on OKC -2.5 because the Warriors don't have the best record when Curry isn't around and even though they covered in their last match against the Timberwolves, it mostly came down to luck. The Warriors still have a few players that can put on an impressive performance to keep this close but i'd better go with the team that isn't missing any of their starting lineup.

Big win, easily covered though. The Wizards just don't know how to win, and even worse, they don't know how to cover the handicap. Good job for backing the Mavericks.
Thanks, and yup, the Wizards suck while the Mavs made it easy after putting up a dominant first half.  Wink
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 17, 2023, 12:50:35 AM
I mean with odds that low for over 7.5 goals. Isnt it just better to take under 7.5 goals in this case because it just seems to me that after scoring decent number of goals in 1st half then I guess most teams will just slow down in 2nd half
True. The corner special was around 1.7~ and the under 7.5 was probably at 1.8~ or even better with the odds boost. Then again, I wasn't expecting teams to chill out in the second half when they could keep attacking to increase their goal differential.

Also, our tickets are slowly dying after that first-half goal from Uruguay and we'll need an explosive second half from Argentina to keep us alive.
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: November 17, 2023, 12:04:40 AM
Both teams playing for today's TNF lost to teams I wasn't expecting to win, so I went with the under 47.5 and bought a point to avoid losing by the hook. I'm mostly backing the under because the trend for TNF is still going strong.

If I didn't like the under this much, I would've gone for the Bengals and the extra four points, hoping it'll be a close game because this is still a division match and these two won't go down without a fight when one of them is going to extend their losing streak.

847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 16, 2023, 10:55:33 PM
I always switch to leagues that keep me entertained like esports and NFL, which are usually scheduled on the weekends, and a bit of basketball in between. I still bet on other sports that I have no idea about only because i'm participating in a competition that introduces us to different sports and leagues. I don't recommend what i'm doing since it's focused on getting the most enjoyment out of my gambling budget than making a consistent profit until the end of the season.

How did that Japan vs Myanmar go? Did they get the required over 7.5 goals easily?
Unfortunately, the special lost as Japan only won 5-0 against Myanmar due to the goals slowing down in the second half. I should've taken that Japan win+ over 10 corners as that's the only special that cashed.

Its up and its between Belgium and Serbia but its friendly international though so any shit could have happen in this game especially when Belgium has another euro qualifications fixtures but considering that they dont really need to win anymore in Euro qualification then I guess they would be filling in some of their main players today?
I guess I checked in at the wrong time since the only markets I saw were the specials for Japan and Argentina matches, but the good thing is that it's only a friendly match.

I'll try to middle my prediction for the BSFL with this market since I predicted under 2.5 and Argentina win, so the best-case scenario would be Argentina winning 2-0 against Uruguay.  Wink

Heard something similar about Evil Geniuses but isn't this for the entire organization?
They are basically dissolving all their teams across all of Esports?
It is very alarming news if it was true. But I didn't believe it at first thinking it was just rumors but since you had mentioned it there must be an ounce of truth to it.
They probably won't disband every roster they manage when the others are doing well like their Valorant roster that won the last big tournament a few months ago. I'm guessing they're only downsizing as they can't keep up with the expenses in the other scenes like Dota now that it has become a free-for-all without the DPC system.

Bleed with the roster announcement earlier today, with Taiga and Masaros being their new addition to the roster.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 16, 2023, 12:51:16 AM
Do you think this is something that you can do—give back to the community from your gambling runs?
With my small bankroll, it'll take forever to hit something big like one of those jackpots, so I doubt i'll be able to give back in one of my future gambling runs. Maybe it's possible if it was back then because I used to play with a bigger bankroll, but now it's mostly to have fun while trying to win a bit of money on the side.

IMO, the money came from gambling is better not sharing with other. As you know, you could be getting addiction and trying to demand your money back has been given to your friend or other.
I guess that's bad money management if the money he's giving away causes him to chase it back through gambling.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 16, 2023, 12:07:18 AM
I'm going back with the Mavericks again to cover the spread since they're now up against the Wizards which I think is one of the weakest teams atm and I don't think they stand a chance unless the Mavericks would somehow still struggle with their shooting.

The line closed at +3.5, and bettors would have won if they bet on the Warriors as the Wolves had won by only 3 points.
I also got their spread after watching them do okay in the first half, and IMO, the Wolves should've covered in the end if they didn't allow the Warriors to shoot the last three in the end.  Tongue
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 15, 2023, 04:54:55 PM
The MOTD still isn't up for today, but one of the daily specials caught my interest for the Japan vs Myanmar match. Getting 8 goals should be easy for Japan since they've done it before, and overall, there's a big gap between them and Myanmar based on the rankings (rank 18 vs 158).

But happy to say it is back today but nothing in there yet so they might have been doing some updates to it for more and better specials for us. Maybe a way to implement rapid betting option for the future? So we can bet during live matches for the specials? Now that would be a very nice feature indeed!

For clarification I tracked down the individual who put in those bets the other day and am reposting them here for validation of these claims of hitting a nearly 100x odd betbuilder is clearly possible!
Live betting for their specials would be nice, but i'm not sure if it can happen in the future. Anyway, good for him to cash those big bet builders from yesterday's matches.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 15, 2023, 04:13:27 PM
In my experience, it depends on the type of bet builder you're making, as it can be a money maker on certain days, or it'll be the one burning your bankroll. I'd say the feature is good enough because it offers an alternative way of getting better odds whenever i'm less interested in betting on a specific market. If I see a team that always wins and is bad at covering the spread, then I would go for their moneyline and pair it with a team total or another stat that the team can cover. It shouldn't be a waste of money if you research hard enough between the teams and players because bet builders also include player props.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 15, 2023, 04:59:39 AM
Of course, I bet the Dallas Mavericks and Luka suddenly had a bad game after playing at an MVP level for weeks. Figures it was the first game of my parlay too. Oh well… I just didn’t expect that one. The Warriors game has turned into a WWE match. It will be interesting to see how long Draymond gets suspended after his choke on Gobert.
I sensed something was fishy for that spread to remain close, and I learned my lesson last week after betting on matches that happen twice in a row.

I also saw that moment where it got a bit personal. Unfortunately, they lost Klay and Draymond because of that scuffle, but at least the other players are stepping up atm and leading with 7 points in the 4th quarter.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 15, 2023, 12:44:49 AM
The Pelicans already lost by double digits last match and it'll require a lot of mistakes for the Mavericks to lose this match when the Pelicans desperately need a player that can put up a crazy performance and stand toe to toe against Irving or Doncic.

For anyone looking to bet on the Warriors, we've got some bad news. Curry's dealing with a knee issue and is marked as questionable. It might be a good idea to stay away of this game or consider betting on the opposing team. The Warriors initially started as the favorites, but now they're at +3. Tough break.
I guess the bookies still respect the Warriors at home that's why the handicap is only +3, but I agree with you it's better to cash out or switch to the Timberwolves when they're the more reliable team.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 15, 2023, 12:04:21 AM
They didn't leave the scene but they have moved from SEA region to SA region. I think that this is like the new meta for those teams that have found no success with their runs for the past years. Honestly, I've seen the glory days of Boom Esports that when they were dominating the lan tournaments and I think they even became a major champ.

But out of nowhere they didn't kept the players that have been good in tandem that had brought them success and then didn't invest that much anymore in building the team. Maybe this run of theirs with the SA players will bring them luck as it's like one easy region for the pro players that they have chosen.
Yup, it appears the org is completely switching to all SA since they also have SA teams in other esports scenes like Valorant and PUBG Mobile.

Looking at the players they chose, on paper, they should be making it in the top 3 SA teams at the minimum as their roster is mixed with players from EG, beastcoast, and Thunder Awaken who all participated in TI.

The only team I know that's stepping out of the scene is Evil Geniuses since I remember reading news about them potentially dropping their other rosters.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 14, 2023, 04:23:03 PM
Last night I was interested in the very last game scheduled for the day with the Sacramento Kings up against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Somebody who was betting on this game had two bets going on both betbuilders.
Hopefully, they both cashed their bet builders at the end.  Wink

Based on today's schedule, we should be getting the last NBA MOTD for this week (Dallas Mavericks vs New Orleans Pelicans), but for some reason, the specials page isn't showing up on the homepage. This would've been a good MOTD for the Mavericks if we got the match-winner and team total combo similar to the first MOTD since the Pelicans are still struggling to find a win without McCollum.

858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 14, 2023, 03:49:43 PM
Casino owners betting on their casino shouldn't be much of a problem when the funds will go back into their pockets anyway. I assume they place bets on their casinos for other purposes (already mentioned by the posts above) and not for the usual reasons as most gamblers do. I also don't see a good reason why they shouldn't be allowed when they have the power to do whatever they want in their casino.

There are policies that say that certain promotions do not include workers and/or their families.
True. I always see this part mentioned in Stake's promotions.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 14, 2023, 01:41:01 AM
Why would you want to avoid being identified, if you gamble legally and if you are not a criminal? Let's discuss the reasons why KYC are not advantageous for the gamblers and casinos?
It's mostly for convenience reasons that's why I pick gambling sites without KYC. It's one less step in creating an account and I don't have to worry about casinos performing KYC on my account when i'm one of the smaller players who never reach their threshold for KYC. If I open a verified account, I sometimes overthink about KYC casinos possibly closing my account and potentially exposing my documents when they're one of the few sites with access to my information.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategies on: November 14, 2023, 12:58:09 AM
Continue doing it until you get the feeling that it starts to fall off. If you want to get more out of it then maybe browse other bookies because there are a few that offer less juice on live odds. I used to focus on live betting at one point and had a few successes with that betting strategy. My only advice in live betting is to avoid those pre-live underdogs that sometimes would shift to a big favorite because it could bait you into betting underdogs when there's still a good window for the pre-live favorites to recover and possibly take over the game.
