842  Local / India / Re: Oh digital rupee is already live!? on: December 15, 2023, 03:53:09 PM
This. If digital rupee is given right ui/ux, promoted right way. Given offers to use, which most of Indian population is mad after, I don't see reason why it wouldn't get popular.
The BHIM UI is clunky enough, but the Indian government employed devs are capable of doing much better had they been given better payments. Still I agree that with a proper UI it can go far. #PayTheDevs  Tongue

We might see another global pandemic on its way from the same country where COVID-19 started. If that happens then the government won't be required to promote digital rupee as it will get the same response as UPI did in the past. The CBDC in China has less use locally but has a lot of use for international payments and big business transactions. I think the path forward for our CBDC will be the same or if UPI does not remain free then CBDC transactions will take a big leap in our economy for sure.
Lets hope that does not happen in reality, one pandemic every century is enough to wipe out and entire nation, thanks to the development in science this one could be controlled within a couple of years.

I was not aware of CBDC in China, but if their CBDC is involved with international transactions and watching our PM be in "flight mode" resumption after the pandemic here, possible they will try to replicate the same here and are involved in talks about the same.
843  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 1.5 BTC in Kolkata, India on: December 15, 2023, 03:43:52 PM
Your account is a pretty old one and it woke up after a long time of inactivity.

Before this you were someone located in Germany. How come now you are in India? That too selling a load of 1.5 BTC which is no joke amount at all as far as INR is concerned.

A lot of red flags to consider here in my opinion. Roll Eyes
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: December 15, 2023, 03:39:51 PM
Working as a casino dealer is another option Tongue

In other words, the only guaranteed method to make money from a gambling outlet is to be a part of the casino. Previously I told about investing in the casino's bankroll, but there is also the option of being a worker in the casino. Its an office job and not related to gambling directly.

Be the casino and you will get a good earning, but most of us can only dream of being one. Grin
845  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Real world side gigs for sats. on: December 15, 2023, 03:33:47 PM
I'm looking to stack some sats utilizing ideas like this over the holidays if you guys would like to contribute and ideas to be tested in this endeavor please drop it here and I'll try to utilize or implement your idea into this venture.
OP still doing this? Holiday season is on for some parts of the world and just around the corner for others. Odd jobs are always in demand but the amounts that each earn might not be worth converting to crypto individually. I could suggest taking fiat payment and converting to crypto in bulk to avoid the transaction fees at the most possible amount. Also depending on your skills or expertise, you need to build a customer base too, for that you need to market your service on social media, which takes time too.

Hence my suggestion is not to keep this as a one off holiday service, but start it with this year and continue every coming month.
846  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Flag reference for CryptoCraftsMan(UID = 3592888) on: December 15, 2023, 03:27:51 PM
I have seen previous attempts at scamming like this. The user is keeping the info to themselves and only giving out some juicy details hoping to find a quick and easy prey. Usually works with the newbies who come to the forum hoping to make some quick cash in the name of bitcoin.

If it was possible to make 40% per day or 1200% in a month, the banks would go bankrupt and that one person would have destabilized the economy Roll Eyes

Miracles dont exist in a logical world. Flag supported from my end.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's role in financial development on: December 14, 2023, 04:01:48 PM
I wonder how you are affording an Internet connection with a smart device to post in the forum if you don't even have a house. But I hope things get better for you in the near future.

Our parents sacrifice a lot for our well being, it is a sign of good parenting among other things. This should ignite the fire in you to work hard yourself and earn your place in this world. Let it be through bitcoin or through fiat, that fact that you realise your father's harship is the first step correctly taken.

Learn about Bitcoin and how it works. Eventually start developing your own skills and learning new ones to share with others and get paid for the same.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 14, 2023, 03:54:29 PM
1. I can start with 1000$ but why would I?
2. 10-30% if I am being humble. 100% if I am being greedy  Grin
3. I would always be content with whatever I get.

Frankly speaking the term investment in sports betting should be made clear. I don't consider gambling as an investment but investing in the casino's bankroll is something that is useful as an investment but not gambling per se. Please do check out the first option although such casinos are dwindling in number.
849  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: December 14, 2023, 03:43:09 PM
Has anyone seen any Rollbit banner or any type of ads in any sporting events? I just find it amusing seeing crypto casino and sportsbooks brands being advertised in football and other sports or games. The latest sponsorship I've seen is the recently concluded Mosconi cup.
I have personally not seen it but if there was such partnership the news would be shared by the team but for future events they might plan big or you might see Rollbit jersey with players on big events as crypto casinos are finding new big ways for mass promotions with good budget. So wait for that time.
Many of the sports books are doing this and like I said rollbit is a casino with a multitude of games on it, not just sports betting. In other words sports betting is not the only thing in the focus but many other casino games too. Recently they started the PvP duel arena section and that too need promotion which they are currently focusing on. They started a new signature campaign for that with same payouts as the original.

Maybe in near future they will campaign for sports but not at this point.

You can't find merchant which is true but that how UPI used to be when it was launched but when Google Pay formerly called TEZ came to market and changed everything now even road side pani puri bhaiya have QR code to accept UPI payments.

You can send erupee to anyone if they have erupee wallet but as I said it may take few more years and if government start promoting it then it has potential to grow.
Comparing Google to Indian government? That is a way longshot comparison to make. Shocked

However I might be proven wrong and you might end up being correct. But with the UPI system being already popular, I dont see how a e-Rupee is able to take over and squish in between. Maybe its targeted at the crypto users, but do that group care? I think not. They will use UPI for fiat payments and continue using crypto.
853  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 13, 2023, 03:47:26 PM
Slowly Indians are moving out from a socialist mentality to a capitalist mentality. With more and more people doing odd jobs to live a decent life in India. If it was 10 years back then no one could have imagined that such kind of odd jobs would be available for anyone. I mean you do not need to pass multiple layers of tests and interviews to get this kind of job. You only need a smartphone and a two-wheeler to become a delivery partner.
Still then their jobs are not easy and often they face a number of problems. With customers who refuse to come out of their house when the delivery person has arrived and keep on wasting their time to random dogs who are owned by the customer who start barking and 1-star givers who blame the delivery person for the food price, these people have their share of stories to make.

I never give less than 5stars to any delivery person - I have never yet faced a legitimate problem from their side either.

But it is a job that need your daily time to be sacrificed. If you fall sick or your family members do, then its zero earning for the next few days or more. Its a constant hustle and that leads to more mental and physical burden = high burnout.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that visionary leaders make great CEOs? on: December 13, 2023, 03:41:22 PM
A lot of reasons make a good CEO, being supportive of subordinates, knowing what their strengths and weaknesses are and having a vision. Just having one of these will not make them a good CEO though.

This is what many leaders distribute the responsibilities. It shows that nobody is perfect and that such leaders who are maximally qualified are rare in number. But that one person can make or break a company and the rest will lead a lavish life from what he/she has created provided the next group maintains it.

Is the OP going through a bad time with their CEO? Just making a guess. Grin
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Heritage is Some How Spiritual on: December 13, 2023, 03:34:49 PM
These clubs have had their heritage and indeed it is somewhat spiritual. The fans and their craze and the emotion that goes into these games is on another level. That is why gambling on these games is common and has become regular from majority of sports players out there.

Some game lovers might disagree here that the heritage is being destroyed by gambling and the fan-craze, but I see these things as one fuels the other and if you have craze you will have betting happening too and its good for the games and the companies that run them.

Overall, we should do our part in preserving the heritage.

Haven't seen much of them since gambling openly is somewhat a grey area where I live. Here its mostly fantasy sports and that certain wolf site which has its banners on every cab in the city.

Sportsbooks are way more popular in this regard making sure to buy the ad spaces on stations, bus stops, grounds and even player's T-shirts. Maybe in near future rollbit might be able to enter those names too. Lets make sure to promote it and make it popular from our side. Grin
857  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 13, 2023, 03:19:26 PM
When was merit first added to the forums?
A little bit of searching around the forum and from help of search engines or by reading the threads started by theymos you can find this out yourself, let that be your homework. Roll Eyes

What were the old ways of ranking up?
By being active you would attain a activity of 14 every 14 days. Now read the rank requirements and just remove the merit requirement from there and only activity remains. That was what determined rank at that time. To get that activity people used to post, but that posting became spam because it was easy to rank up many accounts owned by the same person.
858  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 12, 2023, 12:57:51 PM
Also India's population is very young compared to many other countries. The average age of the population is only 28. Can you understand what kind of social unrest will happen if this huge amount of population is not able to find a mean of living! Do not always trust what the government says. India is still an under developed country and we have a long way to go.
The average Indian youth under 30 earns around 10k - 25k Rupees per month and with that there is a struggle to survive with the rising prices. This means that the hunt for better work and thus the hunt for better degrees which can fetch them those higher jobs.

Still the people who are giving the jobs are lot but its getting competitive for the youth and thus a lot of social problems are arising.

India has a long way to go in terms of the development and job creation. Heck they spend very low on the healthcare in GDP which was criticized and that leads to poor government infrastructure when its needed. Although the current government is trying to correct a few, there is problem in the roots.
859  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Let's Discuss About Movies and TV Shows! on: December 12, 2023, 12:52:28 PM
I am more into the Hollywood stuff and dabble in Bollywood from time to time. I will keep posting my picks from time to time here.

Recently say The Railway Men, it was a suspenseful thriller indeed.

Few older classics that I can recommend
1. Memento - if you think Ghajini is the epitome of violence (which led to a lot of controversy at that time), you should see this movie by Christopher Nolan from which Ghajini was remade. Its way way more violent but a good one.
2. Shutter Island

For those who are into War classics:
1. The Reader
2. Schindler's List
860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest risk of P2P trade on: December 12, 2023, 12:47:42 PM
Common problems in P2P exchanges that I have observed,

1. Many p2p ads are there to lure the trader outside the forum - dont do that even if the offer is lucrative, because the machinery of the site is made to prevent scams.

2. Scammers will attempt to reverse bank transactions of freeze accounts on your bank later on too. These should be properly solved by the bank and the website with help from the victim. It can be a scary situation so dont use your main bank account to trade.

3. Lack of liquidity - sites like BISQ are pretty darn good, but they are ill-liquid and have security deposit to make before you can start trading.
