841  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: February 20, 2024, 04:31:32 PM
If I were the owner of an online casino and asked about the first thing I would do to market it, I would prioritize building the casino's reputation.
Well, that's a good point building up population of a casino should be its owner's main priority and the owner should most likely focus first on building the reputation of his casino by gaining the trust of the players.

Some casinos are doing that and they are getting success in that approach while most casinos are simply offering huge bonuses to attract new players and then posing KYC restrictions to stop the players from withdrawing the money which they win.

Casinos are basically using various marketing strategies to build up their player base and one of those is the offering of huge bonuses and rewards to new players. Most casinos don't really care much about their bankroll before offering such bonuses and rewards, and when a lucky players wins against their house edge then they start the drama of KYC.
842  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 20, 2024, 03:57:26 PM
If BitcoinGirl.Club didn't come first, who did? Was it really a girl this time? Roll Eyes
There has always been only 1 girl that most of us know who she is. She's going to be on the first plae and win miss Bitcointalk title once again. I'm 100% she's FP and no one else. Let's hear that from Icopress, but I'm sure we will hear the same name when he post the results.

Fillippone waiting for results and for furry tits.
I'm very sure that Fillippone is eagerly waiting for the later one then the former one.  Wink
843  Economy / Services / Re: Paying for Google Reviews - must use USA Google Account on: February 20, 2024, 03:42:55 PM
Yes, I agree with robelneo, Google reviews are Trustpilot reviews can't be trusted because most of those reviews are paid ones. Why would a company wants to have a positive rating with the help of fake reviews? I believe they want to rank up with the help of those fake reviews and may turn later into scams and that's the reason they pay for such reviews.

It's true when a service is quite good and customers like it then they will leave their feedback without getting paid for it, but getting paid positive ratings only to show that how unique application you have made is just deceiving your customers, and all those people who might install it after reading those reviews will get discouraged once they find the reality of the application.
844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: We need to support honest developers programming Open Source programs on: February 20, 2024, 03:24:25 PM
Open source software are way better in privacy than closed source ones but the thing that most people don't understand about open source software is that the open source software have to be compiled by oneself in order to have maximum privacy but I don't think that most of us care much about that aspect of the open source software.

Most of us simply download the binary files of open-source software and think that we are using an open-source software but we can be wrong because the compiled binary package may contain malware sometimes. The compiled binary package isn't open-source and no one knows that if the compiled software is fully safe or not, we simply trust it just like we trust closed source software from reputed vendors.

A truly open-source program is the one that you compile yourself by downloading the source files of it. If you believe that packaged binary is open source then you're lying to yourself. If someone really wants to have full privacy then that person needs to understand that how to compile a software source code into binary and then that person can say he's using an open-source software.

I agree that we use such software on daily basis and we're lucky to have all those developers who devote their time to make such software for us, but we should also be concerned about that issue that I mentioned above. To be honest we still can't fully rely on open-source software because most features of the paid software can't be found in open source ones. So for some feature we will have to use closed source software as apogio mentioned.

845  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 www.l0tt0.com ⚡ casino games like you've never seen! 🏆 on: February 20, 2024, 01:56:55 PM
as far as I know, they are making a lot of changes and adding things on the gambling site, perhaps once they are done with those they'll start on marketing again and probably promotions, bonuses, tournaments, etc...(not really sure if they already have those) to attract gamblers to their gambling site.
I agree with you, I also think that they are putting huge effort to improve their site, its design and also they might be working on some new games. The developer of the L0tt0 is a quite hardworking person and he's highly devoted to improve that site.

I'm very sure that once development and design work is fully completed, the owner of the site may start doing some investment on advertising activities once again. It's quite a tough job so it'll take him sometime but I hope to see some good marketing of this site.
846  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: February 20, 2024, 01:14:30 PM
Betnomi did some stupid things like selling user informations or giving it to other platforms.
Betnomi failed miserably because of their mismanagement and shady things but a few weeks ago they opened a refunding thread on this forum to promise that each member who was affected will get full refund. So far they haven't done much in that sense and aren't willing to share that how many users have already got refunds.

Selling out users information is the worst thing a casino does because it's totally against the privacy of the users. Betnomi also failed to pay the users and their refund plan is also just a way to convince the community and nothing else. So there no chance of comparing that casino to BC.GAME.
847  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: February 20, 2024, 01:05:52 PM
If you are talking about sports betting, I agree that one can earn reasonable profits from it if they have enough knowledge and experience about a certain sport because sports betting is all about knowledge, you do your research and analysis and then decide which side has a better chance of winning.
Yes, sports betting highly rely on someone's knowledge and research and it can be quite lucrative source of income for some people who understand deeply that which team has potential to win the match.

Some people at so good at it that they invest a lot of money in sports events and win most of their bets, I guess this is the only type of betting where luck isn't needed a lot. Other types of gambling depends on someone's luck but sports betting is not dependent on someone's luck.

Surely one can earn their main source of income from sports betting but still there are some risks involved in it because if someone who's constantly withdrawing the winnings and utilizing those for their daily needs may face trouble when he/she losses a bet, and that's why I think gambling should not be someone's main source of income.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rated 6th Among the Top Global Currencies on: February 20, 2024, 12:57:28 PM
It's good to see that Bitcoin has became 6th highest marketcap currency of the world, and if we look deeper than it's still the beginning of this bull run but when bull run reaches its highest intensity then Bitcoin's marketcap will be over $1.5T which will make it the 5th highest marketcap currency of the world.

I'm expecting that Bitcoin's marketcap may even cross $1.5T during this bull run and if that happens then most Bitcoin holder will be quite happy to see that. I'm more than sure that Bitcoin has potential to reach $2T marketcap during this bull run, but it's too early to see that happening.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 20, 2024, 12:49:29 PM
Yes, if someone really wants to earn good returns from Bitcoin investment then that person has to hold his investment for at least 2 to 4 years in order to earn some good profits. For better profits I believe an investor needs to hold that investment for at least a decade.

It's expected that in future Bitcoin will gain value of at least $1M a coin and the ones who invested in Bitcoin during last bear market would reap so good profits by holding their investment for a decade. I would also suggest all the investors to hold your Bitcoin investment if you really want good returns from your investment.
850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 20, 2024, 10:38:11 AM
Yes, Bitcoin will hit $1M in a decade or two but I believe it's more likely to see Bitcoin at $1M within a decade. I'm not sure exactly when that will happen but it's expected to happen before 2035 if thing go well in the world of Bitcoin.

I'm very sure that the ones who may hold Bitcoin for longer than a decade will see even more profits then the ones who hold it for a decade. There's a chance that Bitcoin might reach $2M or even $5M in future but surely that won't happen soon and the ones who will patiently hold their Bitcoin for many years may be the lucky ones to see huge profits when it reaches the mentioned values.
851  Other / Meta / Re: Why suddenly Cloudflare Human Verification is Coming Up? on: February 20, 2024, 10:26:11 AM
I also faced that issue which you mentioned in the OP but today I haven't faced it yet. I believe it's not only you because after reading the posts of other members I have noticed that most of them faced the same issue yesterday.

It's either a direct issue from CloudFlare or its something from forum's side but I believe the former one is the case. I haven't seen that CloudFlare warning for so many weeks but yesterday I also noticed it very often and it was very annoying.

What dkbit98 said it true, we don't yet have a better alternative to CloudFlare and thus we will have to adjust with it no matter if its good or not. This forum is still quite good when it comes to CloudFlare warning because on other sites I see that warning very often.
852  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal Thread on: February 20, 2024, 10:18:01 AM
The farewell is very strange but the best thing is that you admit that you have broken the rules and Nutildah or other members were right about you. It's a brave person's way to admit his fault and not to blame others for their own doings, in that way I appreciate your honesty.

I believe you may still try your luck by posting a appeal on that second chance thread which The Sceptical Chymist recommended you, I don't know if you will get unbanned or not or even if you're eligible for that thread or not, but if you are then I highly recommend you to submit your appeal on that thread.

Now it's up to you that either you'll appeal on that thread or not but since you said yourself that you're no more going to ask for it, and you admitted that you have broken the rules. I recommend you to lock this thread so it may not get cluttered with many new posts.
853  Other / Meta / Re: I heard that this forum used to have advertisements on: February 19, 2024, 10:11:18 PM
They were displayed in banner form. Go to https://www.altcoinstalks.com/ and see the banners there. That's like they used to be here.
If I'm not wrong then according to this thread of Theymos the ads should appear on area beneath the first post. On Altcoinstalks those banners appear on upper frame of the posts and also appear below the posts, so I guess now I understand that how they might look like back then.

Here's an example:

The banners were shown below the first post in the thread, in the same spot where the factoids are still displayed now.
I guess that's a quite good example and now I believe I got my answer so I'm going to lock this thread. Thanks to everyone for sharing that valuable information.
854  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: February 19, 2024, 09:52:24 PM
I know that buddy. Nobody want to lose when they gamble. We always try to multiply our balance. But, in this case, I was trying to wager some money without losing. So, when my first lose bet came, my mind changed. I didn't wanted to lose so I place another high bet to recover the loss of my first bet. But then again, I lose the 2nd 40 euro bet and so on.
I guess anyone would do that if they were in your position. Those crash games are quite entertaining and we find them a way to generate so much wealth for us and that's why we bet on such games.

I would say that our luck plays very important role in such games, and most probably your luck wasn't in your favor that day and that's why you lost all those bets.

I hope to hear some good winning from you next time and if your luck favors you then those winning may come from the same aviator game.
855  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application on: February 19, 2024, 09:45:13 PM
That's not what I'm saying. I am saying that a member that favors the interests of advertisers over the interests of the community does not deserve to be a merit source, period.
I must tell you that my intention was not to say that he favors the advertisers by sending them merits or something like that. You misunderstood my words, I said that because a manager need to convince the advertisers to advertise on a forum which isn't a simple thing. The manager has to convince them that they will get good results if they advertise on a forum like this.

Favor in my words is more like helping those advertisers to grow on this forum, and I guess now you got my words. Nothing is wrong in that approach because advertisers are paying huge money in order to get results and a manager tries his/her best to give best results to those advertisers by accepting the active participants of the forum. Favor doesn't mean that he doesn't give importance to the interests of the community.

In fact, I believe Icopress is one of those managers who gives so much importance to the interests of the community. He's not only a good manager but also a very good human being and I believe someone like Icopress will surely be a very good merit source of this forum.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Escape Debt with Gambling: A Dangerous Cycle on: February 19, 2024, 09:24:31 PM
I had to spend $10 from my pocket to convince him that the casino does not have a bug. I had to sit with him and play the game that he thinks can be rigged with my own money and the bugger still thinks that I am trying to fool him. He is now asking all his friends who are into gambling to help him as he got hold of the individual who won big time from the casino.
In that case I suggest you to contact the support team of the casino and tell them about the bug. It's the casino that should fix the bug so users can't exploit it. It would be a great step taken by your side and trust me you won't regret it anytime.

Helping someone else won't cause you troubles but looting someone else does. So consider the owner of casino as a human being who is spending a lot of money on his business model and is working day and night in hope to get some revenue.
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well Prepared For the Bull Market And So Far In Bitcoin Investment. on: February 19, 2024, 09:11:05 PM
Bitcoin investment holds a very promising value, not only today, but most likely in the future. So continue motivating yourself with bitcoin, that will be a good preparation for your retirement soon.
You said very well and yes that's true Bitcoin is going to get huge in a decade or two and the ones who are investing in it will reap good rewards from this investment. Many people will get retired when Bitcoin reaches $1M per coin and those people won't have to work anymore. They enjoy rest of their lives free from financial issues. In fact I believe OP will surely invest more in Bitcoin and will keep the investment secure.

➥ Which style of avatars do you like better... like mine or these ones?

Quote from: the font still needs some work
The avatars that you have made looks way good to me than the other ones. I would love to apply one of those avatars of yours if we are allowed to apply those on our profiles?
859  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 19, 2024, 06:26:54 PM
The house edge set too low which is why MoneyPot can not offer lucrative affiliate program like others do. In one sense it's better for the players but in another sense they are missing out traffic which they could easily receive for free on their website if they would have an affiliate program.

I like the fact that Moneypot always wants to give as much as they can to their existing players.
Yeah, I highly agree with you, in fact most casinos believe in affiliate programs because those programs help them to get many high roller players but since their own house edge is low so their chance or earning huge money from this business model is also low as compare to others.

It's something helpful for players because when house edge gets higher the players lose more money on a casino but since Moneypot has kept it low that's why most players get chance to win many times. I heard the house edge of Moneypot gets higher sometimes in order to protect their bankroll but still most of the times it will remain as low as 1%, which is a great for players.

I believe that if they get more high roller players then they might afford to run affiliate programs and might be able to invest some funds for advertising purpose but since they aren't getting enough revenue then it makes sense to not relaunch their advertising program right now.
860  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: February 19, 2024, 05:01:17 PM
I've reached an agreement with Leo Medina to sell bustabit and bustadice. While most of you know him as the operator of MoneyPot, he's worked with me as part of our developer team behind the scenes for several years.
It's a very surprised decision but if that's for the good of players and for the good of those platforms then I don't think anything is wrong with that. Moneypot is known name by the members of Bitcointalk becasue they have run their signature campaign for sometime on this forum a few week ago, I don't know if they are still running it or not but I hope Leo Medina will be able to handle those platforms very well.

It goes without saying that all users including investors are free to withdraw all their money at any time.
That statement is more than enough to convince all those people who invested on their money on the platform and it's also enough to convince the players who want to withdraw their funds. I'm quite sure most of the investors and players won't be withdrawing their money because they expect a lot from the platform.
