Nikola and Emin are currently in Kenya for the World Business Forum event. They had the chance to speak with Dr. Bitange Ndemo, Chairman of the Blockchain & AI Taskforce backed by the Government of Kenya. The Taskforce's 11-member team is expected to come up with a 15-year roadmap for the use of both blockchain technology and artificial intelligence with the main focus being on making Kenya a leader in the job creation space. We are confident that this technology, if well implemented, can change a wide range of global interactions in the digital world and help billions of people benefit from a global sharing economy based on decentralization and merit. ęternity is a vision that can be realized through technology and its users (community). With this in mind, ęternity is being developed as a next-generation blockchain that increases efficiency, reduces costs and improves governance. Hello guys, Erik Stenman from the core development team did a presentation about ęternity at the Code BEAM SF event in San Francisco, USA. His presentation included topics such as smart contracts written in a functional programming language, oracles and state channels. Of course all of those are being developed on ęternity. Here is a little intro to who Erik is: Erik has been programming for fun since 1980, and for profit since 1989, when he started his first development company. Erik was one of the driving forces behind the the High Performance Erlang project (HiPE) from its start in 1996. In his Ph.D. work he implemented an efficient native code compiler, compiling from the Erlang VM BEAM code to native machine code. Erik built up the Engineering Department at Klarna from the start.
