841  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2021, 03:14:17 PM
Fiat and cryptocurrency are the same but people in society differentiate them and value fiat because its adopted by the government far back, and since the existence of the world and also a specific country, so from my research I find out that government just disliked cryptocurrency for nothing,
So differentiating fiat from bitcoin is valueless because irrespective the importance and massive adoption of fiat currency from  its existence before cryptocurrency, it's obvious that fiat is money and bitcoin is money, their functions and contribution in society never depart from each other, so bitcoin now is the shortest way of transactions across the world without much process or procedures, using bitcoin everything buyable is easier to purchase without stress, so from my perspective I prefer bitcoin than fiat currency due to fast transactions process across another country, and nothing fiat can purchase bitcoin can't purchase, so no difference between both because all are currency.

We may see it as the same in terms of usage but fiat is very different from bitcoin. Even though bitcoin and fiat has a connection to each other, bitcoin is far more better than it in terms of its value. Fiat might have existed way more earlier than bitcoin, the dominance of bitcoin is still getting better as time passes by. In differs on the regulation too, fiat is regulated by the government while bitcoin is a decentralized currency. That's what bitcoin is better that fiat, because there are no organization that holds its regulation unlike in fiat.
842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin remain the biggest cryptocurrency at the end of 2021? on: January 30, 2021, 02:53:01 PM
many people thinks that etherium will take the place of bitcoin soon or later. what do you think guys will bitcoin the remain the biggest crypto in 2021?
Maybe some people speculated that ethereum will replace bitcoin but for me, I think that's far from happening. Bitcoin's value is too far from ethereum's. Bitcoin has been dominating the crypto world for so long already and replacing it from the top would be a very difficult job. Bitcoin might go down a bit this year since its value suddenly pumped up so high last year but I don't think it would reach to the point where it would go near ethereum's value. Bitcoin never stops surprising us so let us put our hopes high on it always.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: January 30, 2021, 02:29:41 PM
Based on my own experience, investing is much better than staking. Even though the risk is higher in investing, it would be best that you do it cause the higher the risk, the higher the reward. The only time staking gets risky is when you are brave enough to stake high prices. When investing, patience is very essential. The longer your investment is, the more successful it may get cause if you are not going to be patient, you will end up losing potential incomes. You still need to assess the price change in the market whenever you are investing.
844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $50k by the end of 2021? on: January 30, 2021, 01:51:52 PM
For the first time ever, Bitcoin reached a new All-time-high (ATH) of $40k per coin. Those who held Bitcoin since 2017 (or before) would've made a lot of money by now. Unfortunately, prices have stalled as Bitcoin is stuck between the $30k - $32k range. It could be the cause of whales buying the dip to pump the price at a later time. Whatever the reason for the price drop, Bitcoin is still much more valuable than what it was a couple of years ago. If the pandemic continues to take the world by storm, we may continue to witness new ATHs in price.

All of this makes me wonder, will Bitcoin will reach $50k by 2021? If it does, 2021 will prove to be Bitcoin's biggest year with astronomical returns for early investors. Right now could be the perfect buying opportunity while Bitcoin is still in the $30k range. What are your thoughts? Huh
We can never be certain about bitcoin's potential's price in the near future. In terms of bitcoin's value reaching $50k in the future, we need to first consider the possible hindrance that may take place before bitcoin can ever make it to $50k. 2021 might be a good opportunity to start a new journey but we can never turn back from the things that has already taken place before. All we can do right now is give them advice on how they can make it to the quota at the end of the day. Nevertheless, if ever bitcoin reachers or not $50k, we should never stop believing on it already.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: January 28, 2021, 06:12:45 PM
At times like this going cashless helps to avoid spreading of virus plus the fact that it is able to do it's job properly thru bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Being able to have money in terms of crypto to pay our bills and transfers money easily and in a faster way. Though it still have cons like in countries that only have low Internet coverage or only few areas have Internet and for some fees and security. We can't deny that it's able to do more good things these times.

While all good things have pros and cons it will depends on us how we will adopt it to avoid problems, huge amount of transactions if can be done via p2p then better do it that way.
The pros of going cashless is being seen right now that a pandemic is currently going on. Dissemination of the virus can indeed be made as everyone go cashless but at some point, it has a bad side. Not only because of the internet connection but also the availability of it for everyone. Not everyone has enough cash to put in their accounts to go cashless. Some are barely surviving due to the crisis this pandemic has brought. Nevertheless, going cashless is not mandatory for any country yet, therefore not everyone is obliged to use it, you still have your freedom to choose.
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legit or not on: January 28, 2021, 05:47:09 PM
For the longest run that bitcoin has existed, I think we cannot say anymore that it is not legitimate. There a lot of people who are currently investing on it right now and they have given their hopes high for it. Regardless if it's legit or not, those who are believing in it and those who believed ever since it started are probably enjoying all the wealth they have right now. Don't listen to hearsays about it, instead try and check it out yourself, do some research or try consulting those who have been in this game for so long and after, make your conclusion.
847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest for beginners on: January 28, 2021, 05:29:15 PM
Heyy guys,

I just started to invest money in crypto last month. What I invested is only famous cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, etherum and ripple. Could someone recommand me about the websites or videos which can teach beginners how to invest in crypto? Thanks!

Best wishes
It would be best if you'll discover it all by yourself actually but still, you need to be careful and atleast find someone who can guide you. It's not really bad that you invested on the famous ones like crypto and bitcoin. Afterwards, you just need to monitor the price changes so that you'll have the idea when's the best time to buy or sell. There are still lots of crypto out there, don't get yourself stucked on the famous one. Find some other potential coins so that if ever the famous one falls down, you have a back up plan.
848  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop an opportunity to buy on: January 28, 2021, 04:44:33 PM
Regardless of the drop, I don't think we can already consider it as a good time to buy. It is still high though but still the decision is still yours to make. If you are confident the price will soon pump again and maybe even higher, you can already start buying which in case the price really increased afterwards, it is indeed worth the shot. Some will play safe while some will take risk but all you need to consider is observing the price change in the market so that you can assess if there's an incoming pump or dump in the near future.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the right time to buy? on: January 28, 2021, 04:16:22 PM
Considering the value of bitcoin right now. It ain't really a good time to buy right now. Even with Ethereum since its price increased a lot too. Timing is very crucial here in crypto, if only you had a great timing of buying, you will surely have the capability to earn lots of money by just simply holding. It is advisable to buy when the value of a certain crypto is very low and sell it out when the price reach its peak. Through being wise and strategical, you are earning lots of money without you even noticing it.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 28, 2021, 03:45:23 PM
Many people are talking about Bitcoin hitting $1 million USD in the future. Crypto enthusiasts are very optimistic, as they believe their dreams will come true with a Bitcoin halving taking place every 4 years. If Bitcoin hits such price levels, many early adopters will become millionaires. It could be tempting to either sell all of your Bitcoin or "hodl" it for the long term.

What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
First, I'll hope that I have high amount of holdings when that happens cause all I will ever do when that time comes and I have no holdings is to regret all of it. I will assess and see if there's a possibility that the value will still increase and if I think the next thing that's gonna happen is a sudden dump, I'll convert it to cash right away and put it into other potential investments. I will fulfill all of may dreams first and if I have plenty of money left after that, I will reach out to those who needs help. I will also try to build my own business so my income wouldn't stop on coming as time passes by.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you think you are smart just know that some are smarter on: January 27, 2021, 06:06:58 PM
If you think you are smart well think again

After UNI Airdrops many starts looking for people's Private keys and recovery seeds using search engines and data engines like 4shared and others but guess what?

Some smart scammers are out there willingly exposing their private keys and recovery seed so that greedy people can scan through them, here is what the scammers have in store

The scammers leave good valuable tokens on the wallet and set the wallet to automatically send out any deposited Ethereum, the greed people will want to deposit eth to quickly move out the tokens to exchanges but its a smart trap, once the eth landed on the wallet address it automatically send out to another Ethereum address...

How did I know this? I know someone who fell for this, luckily he only deposit 20$ worth of Ethereum..
Well, that's how life sometimes work. At first you thought you are winning but the truth is that you are already being outsmarted by a much worse thief or fraud. Scammers are starting to develop new ways on how they can steal other people's money. It would be best if we stay updated upon the new schemes of the scammers so that as we play smart, they wouldn't or they would have a hard time tricking us into their dirty little games. Always protect you crypto and make sure you are storing it in a really tight security wallet.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: January 27, 2021, 05:17:37 PM
Even though it is far from happening, if we would take a look at it, there a lot of adjustments that's needed to be done before the government allows it. There's a possibility that they would take over the control of bitcoin to maintain order and peace and we all know that ain't gonna happen ever. Another thing is, not everyone are knowledgeable at the existence of bitcoin so everyone needs to be informed first beforehand. There will also a be a possibility that many will get confused as its value changes over time and is different from every country. I don't think such scenario would be feasible right now and even in the future.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And yet another mistreatment on: January 27, 2021, 04:55:23 PM
I wasn't one of those promoters that promoted poolz bounty campaign but damn! I feel so sorry for them, the team said they are too worried to send out tokens to hunters because they are scared of dump and this 18$ per token with 18,612,000 million dollars trading volume, also trading on gate.io for crying out loud, how can the team be scared of dump? The whole bounty allocation is 25,000 poolz token, what the heck is going on?

The craziest part is the promoters have to wait for 2 and half years before they can pay....
It's really unfortunate for them. The bounty team definitely took advantage of them for sure. As you to what was mentioned the bounty gad enough allocation to give out the token gained by the bounty hunters. They worked for it, they exerted lots of their time and effort to help the bounty succeed and be promoted. It is not reasonable that they are scared of the dump, the bounty hunters should get what they deserve as soon as the bounty ends. I've seen many bounty that succeeded but suddenly ran off and it is just too bad for the bounty hunters, profits are not the only one they lose, even their trust on bounties.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 27, 2021, 04:33:28 PM
When i have time i go to local market to check prices

Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
...

And my country  is a exporter of food products

How is it in your country ? Same ?

----------------------

My country is Romania

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-10/food-supply-fears-are-growing-as-romania-bans-grain-exports

We tried to ban exports of grain ,but stupid EU intervened...
It should already be expected as a detrimental effect of this never ending pandemic. As places gets quarantined and as transport of goods gets more and more limited to avoid the dissemination of the virus, the value of the products would definitely increase. In my country, pork and meat are already getting more expensive even the vegetables. Everyone is affected because of this pandemic specially the businesses in different places. It would surely result to much worse poverty in the making as people end up losing their jobs and as the essential needs grow in price.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if internet connectivity gets terminated on: January 27, 2021, 04:13:28 PM
If ever the internet gets terminated, cryptocurrencies and banking wouldn't be the only one that will be affected. It would pose global threat for certain as systems in the world would crumble. Internet plays a vital role in many aspects and life and businesses almost depends on it. It would surely produce a chain reaction which may lead to the downfall of the economy of many countries and may also cause chaos and misunderstanding to many. Connections to farther people would be more difficult and it may end up being catastrophic later on.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most important cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: January 27, 2021, 03:53:22 PM
There are few cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin that will be Monero, Ethereum, Litecoin and so is preferable for me.
I've encountered lots of different cryptocurrencies already other than bitcoin but in my opinion, I would consider Ethereum as an important one too. If you would take a look at the history of crypto, ethereum has always been next to bitcoin and I think it has something to do with how well investments and trading are occuring within it. It has also made a new all time high just like bitcoin in the last few months and many are also patronizing it. I have my investments on it too because I know somewhere in the future, it would help me reach my dream of becoming rich.
857  Economy / Economics / Re: MENTAL HEALTH ANG WELLBEING on: January 25, 2021, 05:15:50 PM
Now, we are experiencing a war of the unknown. A pandemic had rises beyond the control of mankind. Our cooperation is highly necessary to combat CoVID 19. Our government has set guidelines for us to follow to flatten the curve of cases. We must sacrifice all our comforts to adhere on the the protocols because our survival depends on each other. It is difficult to let go of our usual life but we dont have choice. Young and adults may experience boredom and anxiety that may cause tremendous stress. Everyone reacts differently to this stress and strong emotion such as fear and anxiety that may arise due to uncertainty of its eventuality. Effective coping can help maintain it. Like communication, communicate with your family, friends and those you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling, Messenger and other applications could also help in the way that you can communicate to your friends,Also, beating boredom can help us free from stress by reading a book, watching a movie and playing a song, You could even clean your house if you are bored,. It can help also ease your stress in doing something you haven’t done before or learning new skills, rather than laying on your bed all day. It is also necessary that you should take care of your body by doing daily exercise, eating healthy food, meditating, hydrate your self and get plenty of sleep. Most importantly, we will pray always for God's protection and mercy, so that all of this will be over. Let us keep our self mentally alert and physically strong to to overcome all difficulties in life. Let us think positive always, let us be happy in wherever and in whatever situation we are in, let us all believe that life will be the same again. But, the lessons we had learn from this difficult moment will help us grow into somebody better than who we are today..
You should consider the fact that all of us are not in the same page right now. Some might just be lying comfortable in their houses as this pandemic continues while other are just barely surviving due to losing their job or having their business shut down. Let us not tolerate toxic positivity and start being sensitive with the real state of the world due to this never ending pandemic. We can be optimistic saying that this will soon end but for those who are just barely hanging each day, they just want to regain and recover the lives they are trying to revive before the pandemic began. Let us all help others if we have much with an open heart cause we'll never know what people are enduring right now.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be too happy on: January 25, 2021, 04:54:36 PM
Do not be too happy that big and giant companies are entering the field…
Because they set the price up and down whenever they want…
You should be happy when ordinary people invest more than big companies.
In simpler terms, it is much better if bitcoin or anything else that exists is distributed all over the world and reaches individuals and companies equally, or, as the saying goes, does not accumulate together.
Wherever governments or large corporations stand, they are sure to determine everything.
Successful and healthy  Wink
It is agreeable that bitcoin and other crypto should stay way as it is right now because just like what you said, there's a possibility that big companies wouldn't be considerate or rational as they set new prices for the coins. It would still be best that the blockchain would work equally all over the world since we've seen detrimental effects of whales already. Even though these big companies might have a hard time controlling the price, it is still feasible as time passes by and as they hold much larger quantity of crypto in the making.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this even normal? on: January 25, 2021, 04:32:26 PM
Guys is any of these normal?

1. Admin close down bounty group after bounty ends

2. Admin failed to update spreadsheet and gives stakes to participants and later block access to the spreadsheet

This is what base protocol team did to their promoters, all those that participate in signature campaign aren't rewarded any stakes and they can't even look at spreadsheet, bounty group is closed too so anyone can't complain and yet the team said they will make distribution in the next 42 hours
It's not normal so it's probably a scam. I experienced the same thing a lot before actually and it made me so mad but too bad, there's nothing much I can do about it. Bounty campaigns gives good profit before not until plenty of scams started showing up. Ever since, I always made sure that the bounty manager is trustworthy before I join because it is very disappointing whenever you spend lots of time and effort promoting their campaign but in the end you won't recieve any amount of profit from all of your hardwork.
860  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: January 25, 2021, 04:12:32 PM
When I see the picture of our banks in my country's, it seems lots of people in the line to withdraw their funds. An analysis of my country says that people keeping funds on their hands instead of keeping into the bank. And it hasn't happened before where a huge amount of funds holding by population. Bank reports saying, clients are just withdrawing their money, deposits are very low by comparing with withdrawal. That's why people encountering lots of questions from the bank regarding withdrawal. Most likely due to the global pandemic, people want to keep funds on their hands.

I don't know if it is happening in your country as well. But seems people losing their faith from centralized organizations like a bank. It would happen due fair of bankruptcy or due to need money on emergency situations. On the other hand, gold and bitcoin movements saying that new investors getting in. Most probably people want to be their own bank.

What's your thought and what's the real situation of your country?
I think it's all about innovations. People are starting to find new ways on where they could keep large amount of money aside from banks. In my country, the emergence of digital apps where you can keep your money are becoming more convenient since you can use it to pay bills at the same time. Banks are being outdated already and it's not surprising actually. There's a possibility that banks will shut down as new system of fund keeping institutions or organization arises. Crypto might enter the game too since lots of people are already starting to acknowledge it considering the high value of bitcoin right now.
