8401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 16, 2017, 02:54:39 AM
These week we host two very good matches and that shall play a huge role in deciding who's in the title. The blues vs the Gunners, it can be a tough match I would normally say, but Chelsea have a full weeks rest while arsenal have played Thursday night football and will be tired, it's my feel arsene will sacrifice premier league for europa sometime down the line. I think Chelsea have a a advantage. It's also Rooney homecoming, the guy who gave everything, stayed when starts left, he's a true manutd legend and I hope he scores but Everton looses or maybe he scores for Manchester United own goal, he has always man utd at his heart, and after Everton loss I feel United stand a good chance to win.
8402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The dust has settled...how did you fare? on: September 16, 2017, 02:43:34 AM
Jesus, man.  What a time to literally just enter the market.

After setting up my platforms and dipping my toes in the water with a few small buys, I sat the last 48 hours, with my finger on the buy button for 1/3 of a BTC.  I watched as it dipped, and dipped.  I was a half a second away from clicking "buy" as prices dipped to $2,950, and I didn't do it.

...then I watched it rise to $3,700 in mere minutes.

First rookie mistake, I suppose.

I live in China, and will see how this day plays out.  Hoping for a dip around $3,200 today as China does its thing.  Knowing enough about this whole deal, I know I shouldn't wait too much longer.

What I saw last night blew my mind.  So much panic.  So much misinformation.  So many "IT CAN'T DO THIS.  IMPOSSIBLE." followed by it doing exactly that thing.

Hell of a ride last night.

Cheers to you all.

You missed a glorious chance, and I can understand why you did that, I had been telling people, buy in every dip, and do not sell your coins, I am very glad I was able to buy at dips and I held on to your coins, see Bitcoin is very volatile, you get the chance come in or exit, but then again what's the right time to enter and exit is really difficult to say, so has to be very prompt in making a decision and not just sit back and take a chance, you will learn over a time.
8403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have bitcoin seen its bottom on: September 15, 2017, 04:37:30 PM
Recent Price down occurred more than 30% in a week because of news regarding china banning BTC or ICO or exchanges. BTC was down to 2950$ what u think will BTC go to this value or below this value again or not ?  Was that last bottom or still many bottoms to see ? Many experienced trader said that it will not go down and continue to rise but who knows what will happen next. What are your experience say about this ?

I don't know why were people worried what's going to happen, I have said it before and will say it again, it's sad that happened, but what's sad is that people blindly sold their coins, instead of waiting for a while, and trusting the coin, now look at you fools, it's back to where it belongs best up and running, let's bring the glory back, hold your coins and buy while you can. The glory days are coming back.
8404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What? You sodl? Too bad. on: September 15, 2017, 01:16:35 PM
It is all coming back now.  You are too late to get back in.  That's what is called 'being left behind'.

Even I am hoping that it happens very soon, this dump created a burn hole in my heart, after all it takes so much efforts to buy it and already invested money, I do hope that it shoots up and all those who sold and have been spreading fud and all wrong news eat back their words, I haven't sold my coins, I am not selling them in this dump, I believed in Bitcoins back then and I believe in it now to. I have been telling people, that's it's only a temporary setback, and that it will bounce back. Let's bring back the glory days.
8405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: September 15, 2017, 12:41:44 PM
What's actually happening with bitcoin? Market is collapsing hugely. Is this the better time to buy or sell? And will it goes under 2000 or 1000? If so should we buy then? Suggestions would be helpful

Its a sad situation It really is, but I would yet recommended you to buy on dips, don't buy the whole coin as, it's difficult to say what would happen next but I am postive that in long run it shall rise again, so this is a good accumulation period, now we need to wait and see how and when does China news ends for good. As of now I am just upset that's it happening but, I am buying at dips, recommending others to do that same.
8406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small investors now is your time! on: September 15, 2017, 06:47:30 AM
So now that the price is dropping, do not fret as it's the perfect time to buy! with bitcoin once again in the 3000's $100 will go much farther now than it did just a few weeks ago. You can possibly even buy your way into the larger investment level right now and ride the wave! Capitalize  on this moment to double down. Even if it lowers a bit more it's still in our favor. because as soon as this insecurity is gone Bitcoin will make another run and my guess is that it would hit 6000+. Especially with bankers buying it up while denouncing it publicly. Getting to your first coin is a milestone and will allow you/me/all of us to participate in the community at a whole new level and from a new perspective.

Act now!

Thoughts and criticisms welcome.

Yes every dip is a good opportunity to buy and it's good to see that people are getting smarter and making good decisions. It's only a matter of time before this issue is over for good. With or without China it's good, I am sure this buying opportunity will show a another country will come out of the shadows. I hope China sorts it's mess, it's stupidity is hurting us a lot. I hope people buy it a lot and that helps it to come back.
8407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A missile to help Bitcoin get back. on: September 15, 2017, 03:29:26 AM
Breaking news North Korea fires a misile over Japan again, what I feel is, with this global markets shall spook, and currencies shall take a beating, that means Bitcoin prices shall rise, though it's bad but if it helps Bitcoin rises I am very happy cause the Bitcoin crash was bad. I guess if this misile helps then I guess we will need to thank the leader in the North. I am postive, this shall help Bitcoins rise to power a lot. What do you make of it? Or is my assumption wrong?

Edit : I am not wishing for a war, all i said if this news could help stop the slide, war no, never. Hope it clarifies.

8408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: September 14, 2017, 10:22:29 AM
Bitcoin is better in my opinion. Bitcoin and ethereum is like gold and silver, people always prefer bitcoin over ethereum and people who are new to crypto in general know bitcoin rather than ethereum. And the fact that ethereum use case is mostly for ico's, i don't think the price will soar that much in the future.

Bitcoin is the the best, gold and silver and ethereum are nothing compared to it. Ico use ethereum and that's the only reason I avoid it, cause ethereum is not worth perusing, it's prices will never soar high, and they will never give you returns like Bitcoins have given you. So for me Bitcoins get a thumps up and down to ethereum, I feel safe putting all my money in Bitcoin cause it's simply the best and beats the conventional wisdom of investing principles.
8409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Kick Every Other Paper Money Out of Business? on: September 14, 2017, 10:08:20 AM
Absolutely not. Tho it's quite possible but this is not the right time. USD still is the number one currency in the world. Yet bitcoin would be used in many things in the future and I assure you that.

Yes I agree, Bitcoin is valued against them and not vize versa, people often take it as a commodity rather than a currency, I yet don't get it, why does Bitcoin have to replace existing Fiat, they are happily Co existing with each other no need to for any of them to supplant with each other. Bitcoin is limited, paper currencies are not, so no in my opinion Bitcoin will never replace them, but will supplant them, and that's the way it should be.
8410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on: September 14, 2017, 09:14:03 AM
Bitcoin has went down to usd 4,000 since August 22 and the JP Morgan chief executive, Jamie Dimon, called it a fraud. What do you think?

Jp Morgan WHO? I don't even remember this company saying anything when it was new, or when it was 2k and now just a minor blip and they come out of nowhere and say it's a fraud, they are dumb and dumber people look at their predictions, not saying for op but I don't buy Jp Morgan words and they know nothing about Bitcoins, op just be patiencet sooner or later the prices shall shoot up, once this China mess is behind us, few more days, Bitcoin will rise from this mess stronger then ever.
8411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better that China just gets out of Bitcoin? on: September 14, 2017, 08:56:37 AM
Bitcoin was sailing along nicely yesterday and apart from the usual technical issues that accompany Bitcoin and other alts there was generally a positive outlook for Bitcoin. Suddenly the markets went crazy when the rumors came out that China would ban Exchanges from trading in Bitcoin. Personally I am getting fed up with China news having such a big influence on Bitcoin. Nobody knows now for the next few days now what is likely to happen and whether Bitcoin will fall hard should this rumor turn out to be true. What will be the result? - a significant fall followed by longer term stability perhaps. Either way we can't keep having this uncertainty if Bitcoin is going to get acceptance in the general community.

I am having mixed opinions on this at one point I do wish China gets over Bitcoin and we all have peace, no more after effectes, no need to worry about the dragon burning fire on bitcoins, but then again a counter view is that China is a huge Market and we just can't let this go off suddenly, there will be heavy casualties if this happens, the electricity rates, the mining industry we don't have any other country to step up and till then we sadly need Chinese help.
8412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Bitcoin Exchanges Will Likely Not Be Banned on: September 14, 2017, 06:21:00 AM

Doesn't surprise me at all, knew that this news was going to come sooner or later. It was a plot to weaken the Bitcoin price and guess what they succeeded, our community is is so weak that it blindly believed it and made a panic sale, how stupid can we be. Though I would say if you got cash now is the time to make some quick money, go for it, cause very soon we shall see prices rising.
8413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bought my first BTC @ $4600, slightly worried on: September 13, 2017, 05:01:23 PM
Hey guys, new member here Smiley

I've been watching Bitcoin's development since early August this year, and I finally gave in and bought 1 BTC for $4600. I didn't wait because I figured the value could easily break the $5000 barrier at any time, and if the price would suddenly normalize above that level, 1 BTC would be outside my budget.

I probably went OCD on the matter and should've waited instead of having to have 1 full BTC, especially since the ICO-related news from China were still pretty recent.

Anyway: the 2nd wave of news regarding shutdown of local exchanges hit hours after I made the purchace, and the value plummeted (it's now hovering just above $4000, that's a 13% decrease). Lesson learned I guess. I've been lurking on the forums for a couple of months trying to pick up some sound advice from you guys, and from what I've gathered I should stick with holding for 5-10 years instead of panicking. But honestly, it's tough to ride the lows.

Any words of encouragement? Grin I guess I'm not the only one who've had a nervous start in the world of cryptocurrencies. Anyone else feeling like they "need" to acquire 1 BTC before the train leaves the station for good?

OMG, first lesson I always give all, never buy entire Bitcoin at one go, we'll what's happened you can't change it, but you should be strong, currently it's down to China but it's shall bounce back very soon and strong, what I can say is buy small dips of Bitcoin so over a time you shall have a average. Time is difficult but I am sure Bitcoin will rise, it has to rise, I am very positive on this, just be strong and don't give up.

8415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Bans Bitcoin Exchanges, will they also ban Bitcoin mining? on: September 13, 2017, 04:33:16 AM
So, recent news that China is either going to ban bitcoin exchanges, or they already have ... If that's the case, will that include miners?  Or will mining become pointless if they can't exchange BTC to pay their expenses?  I keep hearing that China has cheap energy, so I was wondering all along if China would discover these energy hogs and either tax them, or shut them down.

What sort of effect would this have on Bitcoin mining if China gets shutdown?  Catasptrohic? Or the difficulty goes down and we get on fine without them?

People are just loosing their cool cause it's come from China, their every move is being scrutinized like Bitcoin only depends on China, it doesn't, China is acting stupid let them, I am sure normallcy will be restored and people we will have prices up. I don't think so they can ban mining cause lots of money is already invested by people, even if let's say it is banned, they will be able to sell their hash and their coins on foreign exchange, I am this is a temporary situation and things will improve.
8416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value on: September 13, 2017, 04:28:08 AM

Me too, I really believe that after this dump, we sill gonna see the possitive green again. Currently theres a dump again. This the right time to collect more bitcoins.
Excited to see what would be the price after this dump.

I agree with you and bitcoin has a strong support. This dump is due to some negative report about China and once this news settled in, then bitcoin will rise again. There are many FUDders lately, be used to it.

Actually this dip shows the strength of Bitcoin. Despite so much FUD from China, the exchange rate remains above $4,000 per coin. The market bears will be disappointed. The next major chance for them can occur in November, when the 2MB block size limit needs to be implemented. But if it proceeds without any major issues, then we can expect 10K very soon!

China news is always a pain, it was going up 4600$ and now it's down to 3997$, don't know what is wrong with China and all those people who believe it and make a mess of Bitcoins, it's such a pain to see the Bitcoin prices crashing, I hope it bounces up and up, which I am preety sure it will, I feel as soon as these few days have passed and prices have restored normally we shall see huge rise, it shall happen sooner or later, do not panic, keep your coins safe.
8417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin will become the main coin, what will happen to the money we are using on: September 12, 2017, 11:18:58 AM
i wonder: if Bitcoin will become the main coin, what will happen to the money we are using now like us dollar?

Bitcoin is a crypto currency and it's valued in dollars and other currencies, so nothing is going to happen to going to happen them, as they both are different, dollars are going nowhere, they will be as it is safe and sound unless Kim Jong decides otherwise, till then all seems good for the dollars. You just need to be patient and not worry, dollars is getting stronger, Bitcoin won't every replace dollars but Bitcoin shall give you the increment that dollars can never give you.
8418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions about bitcoin transfer on: September 12, 2017, 10:05:09 AM
If you are using a paper wallet you need to spend your fund in one go you cannot keep funds in it, cause you would be exposing your private keys and you cant keep your coins in there, as far the fees it keeps on changing on how many blocks are there, sometimes it's high and rare chances low, this fees doesn't go to wallet owner it goes to the miners who mine these blocks for a fee. So you have no option but to pay it. What I suggest is to move your funds to electrum wallet, you can set a dynamic fees or select your fees note if you do that your coins could be stuck for a very long time it's a risk you take. Every transactions requires fees.
8419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose on: September 12, 2017, 09:56:30 AM
I gamble most of the time when I am alone.

Yes I do it often well my first gambling was to help me cope cause my crush started dating some one else, so I decided to try it to help me cope the loss and I often do it, to get over my boredom and loneliness, somehow I feel comfort in it. It's like it adds some comfort in my life, when it's like there nothing to do, all alone and you need that thrill, that comfort that you are worthy, I feel gambling plays a important part in all this.
8420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you are a gambling expert? on: September 11, 2017, 10:50:40 AM
I just want to know how you feel when you get a big win from the gambling you play, I know that feel is definitely fun.
But, do you feel or ever assume you are a gambling expert after you get a big win?
Then what kind of gambling has made you think of yourself as a gambling expert?

Umm very difficult to say who would say himself a gambling expert, cause most of all is about luck and then about judgment, we'll I do like to be proud of my gambling judgments but there are days when I have made foolish bets to. How does one feel when he starts to win huge, good and top of the world, I normally feel I should wear the gambling crown and rejoice that I played so well. Mostly it's my perfect sports bet judgment, but as is the case even I make mistakes.
