8441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: April 20, 2019, 07:53:27 AM
I have purchases stuff from Rakuten(Xbox gift cards etc) before successfully which is why it is good to see their positive stance towards crypto, but I don't think this will change Amazon's stance towards crypto anytime soon.

Am not expecting a big bull run in this case either.
8442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions aren't reversible... I'm confuse on: April 20, 2019, 07:49:39 AM
I send 1BTC to address "B" from Address "A". Next I try to send back that 1BTC to address "A" from address "B". Is it an impossible thing?
No.

Simply put, irreversible means there is no way to "cancel" or undo a transaction once it was made and confirmed. Compare it with Paypal where you can open a dispute and get your money back if the deal went bad or something.
Paypal chargebacks! I hate it which is why I appreciate crypto even more in this aspect.

Some terms are too technical for newbies which is why a simplified guide of crypto & its basics could help resolve these matters rather quickly without the need to ask anyone!
8443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best source for learning about bitcoin in hindi/urdu on: April 20, 2019, 07:46:07 AM
This is a good attempt op, but it is definitely not that simple. Even if translators could translate from English to various local languages, it would still be complicated due to the technical terms involved.

This is why I appreciate the current Bitcoin & Friends TV show even more since it actually simplifies everything to an extent where people of all ages could understand the basics of crypto through minimum hassle.
8444  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bulk purchase on: April 20, 2019, 07:42:06 AM
Anyone know where to start to buy BTC in bulk? Looking to purchase at least 1,000 coins a month for at least 6 months.  TIA Please pm me if you know of best way.

There are lots of bigger exchanges where you could buy as much bitcoin as you want. You could also choose your Mastercard or visa as a payment option. To secure your funds, you should look for a trusted and legal exchange rather than trusting anybody else. Exchanges like Kraken and Coinbase are examples of legit and trusted exchanges with high trading volume. You can look for an exchange that will make you feel comfortable without any doubt.
This is not recommended since this could lead to price manipulation. OTC solutions are the best solutions in this aspect and I would recommend LocalBitcoins as the P2P platform where op could get his job done.

However, 1000 BTC is an insane amount which is why op needs to follow all the security protocols before going through with this task.
8445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Lead to the SIngularity? on: April 20, 2019, 07:32:41 AM
This could become a big problem too. It could lead to the end of days where technology conquers human beings(Terminator) which is why rapid development of technology is not always a good thing in this aspect.

Constraints need to be applied at every stage to limit the power of developing technology.
8446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first Concept of Blockchain and first cryptocurrency! on: April 20, 2019, 07:30:09 AM
Don't we have enough privacy based platforms in the market already? I don't see why anyone would be interested in this new product when much more popular and reliable alternatives are available already.

The Elixxir platform may be successful if it attracts enough attention though.
8447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Comodities/Currency/as Payment Methode? on: April 20, 2019, 07:26:59 AM
Unlike bank transfers which take time, it offers low cost and instantaneous transactions.
I don't think so. Bitcoin transactions still take a good chunk of time due to the 1MB block-size limitation along with the extreme volatility of the market due to which difficulty keeps swerving regularly.

Once the LN protocol is fully operational, you can expect instantaneous and low cost transactions.
8448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Track and Trace on: April 20, 2019, 07:23:56 AM
No matter what anyone does, there will always be hacks on exchanges etc since money is involved. Everyone are aware of the risks involved with this market which is why it is up to us to secure our funds by using hardware wallets, paper wallets etc instead of depending on 3rd party exchanges.
8449  Economy / Economics / Re: A short market analysis of Lending Market by our team on: April 20, 2019, 07:20:17 AM
In my opinion, the P2P lending system is a safe haven for the scammers to grab their profits and run away without getting traced which is why it is not as reliable as bank lending process at present. For example:

https://coincrunch.in/2018/10/23/two-btc-scam-localbitcoins/

Bank lending is always the better option in this case.

8450  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Prediction website for sale with backend software on: April 20, 2019, 07:05:28 AM
Is this guy really serious? He could have just revamped the website by hiring the services of a freelancer instead of trying to sell it for an abnormal price. Could not find any reviews of this website online.

Who in their right mind would want to purchase junk like this?

8451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 20, 2019, 06:59:03 AM
Tahir mentioned that he would retire from ODIs after the World cup. Good thing that this legend can still play in the IPL though. It will be interesting to see how Du Plessis captains such a diverse mix of incredible talent.

Tahir did the right thing by migrating to South Africa, at a time when South Africa was losing so many of its native-born players to teams such as England and New Zealand. Had he remained in Pakistan, then most probably he would have never got the recognition and fame.
True. A talent like him would have gotten wasted thanks to the current dirty politics problem in the Pakistan team. Always a pleasure to watch this man bowl and the way he celebrates his wickets is magnificent for a guy of his age.

I don't know what Uthappa was thinking when he was out there at the crease. 9 runs out of 20 would be recognized as a poor display even in 50-over matches. And this was a T20 match, with a target of 214 runs. In the end even Russell could not save the KKR. They had plenty of wickets in hand, but fell short by 10 runs. Yes... just 10 runs.

Hey Uthappa has been out of form since the last few matches and I was surprised he made it to the playing 11, I feel KKR should drop him and select someone else. While KKR batsmen played really well it was their bowlers, and their sloppy fielding which let them down in the end. I feel KKR would have win this type of match on any other day, but RCB had lot of luck going their way and ultimately they got the victory.
Luck? Seriously? Didn't you see their batting performance earlier? Kohli freaking scored a century and Ali blew the opposition away although their bowling leaves a lot to be desired. Their performance saved them(Not luck).

KKR are in a bad position currently after a string of defeats.

I don't blame him since the pitch was sticky and slow for the first half of the innings for both teams. He is a great player on top of that, but the pressure just got to him.

Won my bet by betting on RCB and KKR are struggling currently even with the best batting lineup of this season so far.
8454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 19, 2019, 05:47:30 PM

Nope. They are not out of the tournament yet. If they lose 1 more game, its over for them which is why RCB still have a slim chance.

214 seems like a great target and it will be interesting to see if KKR can chase it down a second time with Russell.
Lynn was dropped by  Stoinis at 0!
Will it be a Lynn day.

It's good to see that they managed to score this much run. Chase will be interesting. I have a bet on most 4s by RCB LOL and they already scored one LOL

I think RCB will win it. 200+ run is a lot to chase.

Edit: And Styen got Lynn. A catch on mid on. Lynn could not use the life he got.
It does look like an RCB day. They are performing brilliantly with both bat and ball, but they still need a miracle to make it to the playoffs though at this stage. Why in the world didn't they bring in Steyn at the beginning itself? Pure stupidity.
Dale Steyn was in rest due to some injury. Now he has been called by the coach as they found the Steyn is must by this moment to proceed further as the number of matches played is getting around ten with few matches left for the playoff. Today it is RCB day, and can see more similar days in the falling weeks.
Rana and Russell are blowing RCB away at the moment and they seem unstoppable. Russell is insane. He is basically a superhero in the world of IPL currently. I still don't think that they can save them at this point though since it is a bit too late I believe.
8455  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we think that Bitcoin ......(I think I made a point in the wrong place) on: April 19, 2019, 05:41:22 PM
This is basically a double-edged sword. Some people might like it since the values will surely rise helping them earn more profits in the long run. On the other hand, some people would hate seeing their privacy getting compromised in this manner.

Basically, it would come down to money vs privacy at the end of the day and you would need to choose a side. Tough decision!
8456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nationals currencies backed by btc hashing power or on bitcoin as a second layer on: April 19, 2019, 05:32:36 PM
One thing and one thing only: governments wouldn't allow this. No matter how intense people's desire for this to come to fruition, of course governments and banks simply wouldn't allow this knowing that they don't have total control over bitcoin. If debt continues to grow and things started to go out of hand, perhaps they'd just write-off debts or make even more money and create even more debt, until such time that they couldn't take it anymore that they'll have to resort into hostilities once more. Bitcoin's deflationary status defeats the point of fiat being inflationary, and in no way would governments and banks would want to deal eith things they can't control at will.

Bitcoin can exist with fiat, but never will it be integrated on financial systems to aid a country's economy. Perhaps as a payment scheme but not something over-the-top to replace fiat currencies.
Honestly, it would be tough to predict an outcome from a situation like the one op mentioned. The people could revolt against the government and overthrow them or various different outcomes are possible.

What op said could actually happen in such extreme situations, but the chances are slim nonetheless.

Not sure if anyone posted the South Africans squad. Here we have it:

Good to see Imran Tahir. He is in his best shape form wise :-)

Kohli show is going on Kolkata Eden Garden. He is on 71 from 46 balls just.RCB is 167/3 at the moment.Last 3 overs are Very important. If kohli can stay on the crease, 200 is easily possible I believe.Kolkata need to win this match to hope for playing in Play-ofPlay-off.And RCB is on the bottom of the table So I believe They already are out of the tournament.

Why do so many people think that crypto will replace FIAT in the future even when its adoption rates are so low at the moment? This will never happen since FIAT will always be the primary money source despite its disadvantages which you mentioned.

Bitcoin was always meant to serve as an alternate payment method and nothing else in this case.
