It looks like Spectre signature campaign is finished and the manager paid the users the final payment as mentioned here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718571.msg17354245#msg17354245
8483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin adopt privacy alfeatures? on: December 31, 2016, 01:32:24 PM
Bitcoin is still under development and It there is definitely a solution for both privacy and anonymity[1] , Darkwallet was something that everyone was waiting but It's now pretty much dead, an alternative for the moment is the mixing services , even though It's not that secure. Hopefully , SegWit will get activated in the future and both Lightning network & TumbleBit will follow.

8484  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: How to buy bitcoins with debit card or paypal on: December 31, 2016, 12:55:44 PM
Virwox.com (both credit cards and paypal) should be a very good choice , and there is this new service provided by bitcoin.com  (CC only) : https://buy.bitcoin.com/ . Fees are definitely high and I don't recommend buying unless It's something urgent , otherwise It's better to trade with individuals (but there is a trust issue sometimes).
8485  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Advice on supervising bitcoin addresses for custom notification on: December 30, 2016, 01:45:36 PM
You simply want to check addresses and see the coming transactions ? If it's the case then you could simply use https://www.blockonomics.co/views/wallet-watcher.html?next=%2Fblockonomics instead of buying a VPS which may cost you a lot of money. (there is an API too)
8486  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: help needed on: December 30, 2016, 08:38:36 AM
It's normal that the address changed when you check the receive tab because blockchain.info became an HD wallet , It should generate a new address each time you want to receive BTC.
It's weird that you can't see the funds in your wallet though, have you tried to logout and re-login ? It could be your browser
8487  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is there an open source wallet for ayphoon? on: December 30, 2016, 08:31:13 AM
If by ayphoon you mean iPhone then yes , there is Breadwallet[1] , It's an SPV wallet , open source and there is also a phrase as a backup. Its pretty much what everyone uses when It comes to iOS

8488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOT Upgrading to SegWit who's with me?! on: December 30, 2016, 07:44:08 AM
If we ever fail to implement SegWit , does it mean that there is no chance for Lightning Network and TumbleBit[1] to be implemented as well or they don't need each other?

8489  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cost of Hiring a Developer for a game? on: December 29, 2016, 05:40:35 PM
If I hire a developer for a developing a gambling game how much it will cost me? I just wanted to know so based on replies I will take the decision  that should I invest in this project or not.

It's not the development that will cost you a lot of money , It's more like the the BTC that you should have in order to pay the players , and as a start , you might have to proof that you have funds with a signed message . If those are taken care of then a security is something else to think about , the funds will be kept in a hot wallet In order to pay users so security should be your first priority In this case.
8490  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Clash Royale - Level 9 - Arena 10 - 3000+ Trophies || Free Bonus !! on: December 29, 2016, 01:48:26 PM
Trophies are now 3145 and the arena is 10 since there was a new update. I always found two new legendary cards (Inferno dragon and Lava hound).
8491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: December 29, 2016, 10:59:39 AM
Exchanges hold a very less amount in cold storage. But trading depositing and withdrawing again and again is tedious.

I'm not sure about other exchanges but Poloniex clearly says in the homepage "Majority of customer funds kept in cold storage"

Even if exchanges would hold everything cold storage, it still wouldn't protect any funds if it's an inside job  Tongue
Maybe decentralized exchanges are the future...

Why not ? I mean claiming that they got hacked is easy when It's an inside job , but when It's cold storage , It should be stored somewhere safe where only a few people has access to , so I don't see how someone could get away with it.
Besides , If the majority of funds are in cold storage + in the same address , that wouldn't make it hard to trace on the blockchain while If they are online and from different addresses , It's definitely something hard to track.
8492  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitify.com Is A Scam Site on: December 29, 2016, 09:18:30 AM
Why you are assuming that they scammed while It's more then possible that you got hacked and someone withdrew to his address instead of yours. No one is going to buy your story so use the proper scam report format please : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0 with proof.
8493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "We got hacked" coming ! on: December 29, 2016, 08:25:18 AM
Two scenarios are likely to happen at this point :

1. "We got hacked" e.g Mt.gox
2. They actually get hacked

It's no secret that when the price of BTC increase , exchanges and other services becomes a target for hacking and sometimes It's actually an inside job where they claim they got hacked and of course , we can't proof it.

So to avoid any kind of regrets If that happens , I really recommend everyone to withdraw his funds from exchanges for the moment as we are heading to 1000$ pretty soon probably. Once you finish trading , just withdraw as there is no reason to keep them there... when you want to trade again , just deposit the amount to trade with and nothing more.

Exchanges that holds most of the funds in cold storage could be more secure but you never know... so yeah , be careful.

8494  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any way to buy BTC with MasterCard on: December 28, 2016, 05:24:15 PM
If it's a Neteller or a Payoneer then It should allow card to card transfers and you can make a thread on the currency exchange section asking to trade with people. If it's not then there is virwox , It's definitely a legit service that exists for years now but the fees are kinda high so If you don't really care about fees you should go for it.

I got payoneer card but you talking about which service

Payoneer allow C2C (card to card transfer) which allow you to transfer funds from your account to another payoneer card holder with just using his email address. So just make a thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 with the title "[WTS] Payoneer [WTB] Bitcoin" or something similar and wait for replies. You shouldn't trust people blatantly though , there are some scammers around the forums that are waiting for low-ranked members like you to post and then scam them.
EDIT : there is someone looking for payoneer for his BTC : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1731761.0

There is a service called LavaPay that I just came across , I never tried it so I can't say much about it but I found good reviews about it , see references[1][2].

8497  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: December 28, 2016, 02:48:41 PM
Thanks for your reply Smiley
I have my passphrase and all relevant login data ready, but when i want to log in to the wallet the site tells me to:
"Please check your email to approve this login attempt"
But the said Email never arrives.

I am able to login on the support site, but cannot find a "open ticket" function.

regards al

Why would you need to login in order to recover your wallet ? It doesn't make much sense to me. I have never recovered a wallet before but from my understanding you should be able to by going to https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/recover , entering your passphrase of 12 words and click on continue .
8498  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [Collection] Hardware Wallets on: December 28, 2016, 01:34:54 PM
I would suggest you add the Ledger HW1 because it is the cheapest hardware wallet (as far as I know)
And I would make to each of them best value rating in stars or something similar, what do you think?

I took this in consideration and I asked people to give ratings when they make their review on my other thread , when enough reviews are collected I will be listing them here.
As for the HW1 then I will be adding it soon , I just have to email Ledger again to get some information's.

KeepKey twitter and some emails has been hacked so I advice you to not simply follow instructions given by them In case they send you an email , check the integrity of it first.
8499  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who's gonna get "hacked" next? on: December 28, 2016, 11:46:23 AM
I don't think china will be touched , their exchanges are holding most of the bitcoins and the trading volume is huge , not to mention that there is big whales there , I'm pretty sure security is taken very seriously there. I don't remember seeing Kraken being a target of hacking so I'd say It could be this time.
8500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is about 953.3$ in preev now!!! on: December 28, 2016, 11:04:32 AM
If people continue holding and see the real potentials , we could easily avoid a panic selling and a price decrease. If they do that then I think It's just a matter of time until we reach 1000$ (and this is likely to happen before the new year).
With 2017 coming and new services like Airbnb thinking about adding bitcoin , I see that the new year could be "the year of bitcoin". We do have some issues that need to be solved though , SegWit is an example. Hopefully everything goes as planned.
