Do you want me to mine this block for you so it's not shady again?
8522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What challenges would a pure Proof-of-stake coin face? on: October 23, 2013, 08:36:23 PM
So there are vague notions that it is unsafe but nobody has a specific reason why?

The initial distribution is the biggest problem, I think. The thing about a proof of stake system is that until someone has coin, nobody can get coin.   It operates more like interest than pay for work.

I do not really have a solution for that.  But rich get richer really is how the world works.

Anyway I'm open to all the suggestions people come up with, but most of the obvious ideas fail in the presence of sybil attacks. All that it has to be is  verifiable via software and not farmable. And there is nothing that requires that there be only one giveaway.

An alternate is to have a different kind of proof-of-work.  Instead of hashing, have people actually contribute somehow.  Reward coin to people that resolve software bugs, or offer services, or contribute to an official wiki, or even just for advertising in their sig.  That way you kill two birds will one stone.  It would handle the distribution, and it would make the coin bigger/stronger all at once.

It was my idea.  I get the first reward.

We estimate that by bringing Fiat currency to the exchange we will increase our revenue by 10-20 fold almost instantly
Some days it seems like they can barely handle the volume they already have.  Even with the latest upgrades, they are still having issues.

Why didn't you list "Fee Shares" on your own exchange as some other sites have?

Because we are located in the US, we must comply with US laws.   Offering a securities exchange on our website would place us under SEC rules, and that is just not something we want to deal with right now.
And which rules will they have to deal with when they start offering Fiat currency exchanges on their website?

In short, if they're serious about this, they better be prepared for ALL the consequences well in advance.

The SEC doesn't regulate them exchanging to fiat. That's more FinCen's territory. They are trying to become an MSB

8525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange] Latest Cryptsy Additions, News and announcements. NEW DATACENTER on: October 23, 2013, 04:08:30 AM

The issue is we are still migrating services to the new datacenter its taking time and causing problems. We are working through them as we can.

@BitJohn

A very reasonable explanation and again, I haven't had any problems with withdraws, refunds or trading at all.Since professionalism and courtesy prevent the guys over at Cryptsy to speak their minds openly, please, allow me to channel Cryptsy for a moment.

Hey Whiners, yeah I'm talking to you "Mr too stupid To release his transfer and then submit three tickets and create a thread Guy."
Shut the fuck up you bunch of ungrateful children obliviously ignorant to the fact without Cryptsy you idiots wouldn't even have a market for 75% of your crybaby coins. You turds come in the chat, berate, complain, whine about things my dog could figure out after burning down a blunt. You offer nothing of value and think you are doing us favor by living your entire life in the chat box and gifting us the profit of your .0000035 LTC fees we collected form you last week.

So from the bottom of our hearts over here at Cryptsy, FUCK OFF AN DIE if you can't deal with the petty inconveniences of upgrading your only market to peddle your shitcoins on.

Please by all means take your asses over to mcxNOW, BTC-e or VirWox and see if you can get them to add your shitcoin of the day.

Lastly, The polls we put up are just to fuck with you morons, we will add or delist any coin we feel like without your input? Why, because it's our fucking site that's why.

Have a nice day"

CGB removed as payment option. Please delete our links. Thank you and good luck

I clearly first told you I removed your link from the services page because you turned your site into your personal TIX promo page.

And then you post on here that you removed CGB as a payment option and to remove the link which has already been removed?  Are you retarded or something?

Actually, the link you guys had was for iGotSpots.com/other - Which still accepts coins for gold, silver, and copper

I just wanted it known you're the reason people can't use CGB for actual bullion on my website anymore, since I am, in your words, a leech

Ah, so you knew we had the wrong page and didn't care to correct the mistake...why?   FYI, I deleted the links yesterday.  So I'm sure you knew all along.

And now that I call you out publicly, you're all of the sudden a man of integrity.

You may have spots but you need to get a life.

No, I didn't notice. I have my own projects to work on, I assumed you knew how to do links properly

Nice way to treat someone supporting your coin by selling gold and silver for it for months, though. Glad I was helping your coin

We have now added you to http://rapidballs.eu homepage

get that branding known and where peeps can get TIX from, as not everyone is a miner Smiley

Awesome. We are still working on WorkForCrypto, but it's looking really nice on the dev site

How's the site going? Any ETA on it?

This weekend at the very latest. I would guess in the next few days, though

Twice now I have cancelled a sell order and the funds don't appear back in the account, the last time I raised a support ticket, do I have to do that each time, or is there some wider problem that is being looked into?
Yeah Cryptsy are taking the piss now. They should shut the site down til they've got it sorted

Oh god that would make it even worse. PR is lacking quite a bit, though

Just jealousy from others really. Tix is still at a good price and it will steadily rise from here as more things come out for it. I am holding mine sure i made some on the rise and fall but that is what trading is for. I lose a lot of the time too but don't moan about it since nobody forces a person to trade.

Buy support continues to build. Last time it followed it to 110 it will do it again

Only can hope it does. Alt's are all suffering with BTC price rise, except for XPM.

Don't worry, we are up late working tonight. Getting a lot done this weekend

It's unfortunate the TIX e-cig shop is axed, totally bogus reasoning behind it. Hopefully you get your services up soon.

Yea, that blows. It's fine, just troll box bullshit. Just ask the trolls for proof and they produce nothing. Either way, that was a cool outside project, not an official release, anyway. We are still ahead of our original schedule on our first two

About TIX shop.
It is allmost same what coin I implement to use in shop, but...
tix is now owned too much by few people. Same who dump it.
So, if tix will rise again, it will be dumbed again.
This is normal trading and happen with all coins, but not by devs.
It was good coin, name, volume, scrypt method, but dev, you ruin it for while.

I didn't believe that first, but I check mining history and I can see you guys mining it with GPU miners and gpu miner was not published with ANN post.

So, I will waiting a while, until I publish shop with TIX.

Hope you can still rise tix and you get your trust back, but I'm out of tix for while.
- halibit-

Fucking lol, what? You've been mining on TIX pools since like day one and I've seen your hashrates at >20 MH/s, you were definitely using a GPU miner, and they released the GPU miner at the same time as the coin. This makes no sense whatsoever.
I did't mine in day 1, but day 2 yes. And, on that time, yes gpu miner was relased. I don't cry because I didn't got first 8bilj. I will not continue arque, but if you want I can publish first day mining facts, do you want?

This comment shows who you have been listening to. I don't have nor have I ever had 8 billion of these

Just so you know, the dump from 110 was a chinese miner who was on it right away. That's fact

And what is wrong if you or I or anyone had 8 billion?  It's not like it was a premine.  Are profits illegal now in crypto world.  These people are as bad as bankers only the exact opposite.  I'm here to make money, that's it!

Nothing. I don't know why people thought I had 8 billion anyway. I only mined TIX 8 hours a day when it had the 800k blocks because I didn't know if it would go anywhere. And all my mining was on feleep's pool so I'm sure he can verify that...plus TIX team paid the pools ops to keep the pools at 0% fees for you guys from what they personally mined.

It looks the opposite of a scam to me
