LOL @ everybody talking about brute forcing the answer.

Why not just try to use your brain to solve the riddle?

The only thing that makes me thinks the words might be out of order is the Natasha Otomski part. Otherwise, its likely that the words are in order and one is spelled in an anagram.
8522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To save bitcoin - stop buying bitcoin cash on: January 19, 2019, 05:43:12 AM
Who is buying bitcoin cash at all? I heard no word about it for a long time, even on trading discussion nobody mention it. Am I wrong?

That's a great question. I don't understand why people would buy it. What is their motivation? Nobody uses it for anything and its just as speculative as coins 100x smaller in size. Over the course of the last year its been dying a long, slow death, which was somewhat accelerated after the fork.

I know Ver sold a lot of BTC to buy BCH and that's what pumped it and kept its price from tanking, and Wright probably sold BTC to buy BSV. Those two elements together helped trigger a wave of panic which led to the most recent BTC sell-off. There's no way that the timing of BTC's last major freefall and the BCH fork was coincidental.
8523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ADDISON CHURCHILL "new exchange, best at everything"?? on: January 18, 2019, 06:07:40 PM
I'm leaning towards scam. If an exchange or ICO or anything is legitimate, why would they need to employ a newb bumping/vouching service?

The four newb shill accounts were all created within 24 hours of each other:

igorpavlic70     September 17, 2017, 05:04:59 AM
fredcollins365  September 17, 2017, 08:23:45 PM

alonsoxavier1  September 18, 2017, 12:06:37 AM

Oh, what do you know, OP was also created within this span:

cameron70  September 17, 2017, 07:23:20 PM

Reminds me of a token that uses its own team members for testimonials.
8524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 18, 2019, 05:53:40 PM
SCAM ! I have deposited 0.44 BTC and they deleted my account.
When i try to recover my password i get: "We can't find a user with that e-mail address."

How long ago did you make the deposit? I'm just curious because it seems like this exchange has been labeled as a scam for quite some time now.

The shillbot newbs have stopped their posting here. That means things are winding down and you can expect a total closure of the site in a matter of days.

Sorry for your loss.
8525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 18, 2019, 05:19:38 PM
Fewww wheeee that's a lotta data. Good lord.

If anything you can use the pwned website as a password frequency checker.

For example, the password "bigdick69" was used 5,308 times in the data set.

In more relevant news to the thread, the price of Grin is starting to stabilize around $6.50.
8526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 18, 2019, 03:40:01 PM
Most of the talk about Grin is people talking about Theymos talking about Grin.

Despite everyone's biggest fears that keep getting repeated ad nauseum, he flat out told people not to invest in it now seeing as how 60 coins are produced every 60 seconds and its highly experimental, unproven software that may have zero value in the future.

Now I've done it too
Talked about Theymos and Grin
And that's my Haiku
8527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: January 18, 2019, 03:30:11 PM
Received grin from both sparkpool and f2pool.

It's long process, but end landing just fine on exchange.

For bitforex, no need to enter txid and amount of transfer, it's automatic.

Just so people know about it Smiley

I was just about to ask something related to this:

So, does a recipient necessarily need prior knowledge that they are about to receive some coins, or not? I'm guessing the receipt and processing of the sender's information can be automated so that people can receive payments offline. But if somebody is not expecting a payment, and has not set up such automation, does the transaction still get added to the Grin blockchain, and the payment sent to the recipient?

Thanks.
8528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 18, 2019, 11:44:50 AM
My first comment was against nutildah's "to get more stakes".

- "... some extra profiles to get some activity to the new coin - not getting stakes."

The term sockpuppet I saw first time, when the NEM stake claming started. And because there is not proven that Utopianfuture has used sockpuppets to claim stakes, then I think that he had no 'sockpuppets, just extra 'profiles'.

Don't know why you're so adamant about rewriting history.

From gentlemand's link:

Quote
I had a few sockpuppet accounts but I have no intention of cashing out any of them.

No intention of "cashing out" what exactly? DOGE?

He was obviously hoarding NEMstakes. And I don't give a shit any more but it irks me when people try to claim that things that were, weren't, or vice-versa.

A sockpuppet is an extra profile.

What you're doing is saying a square isn't a rectangle.
8529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 18, 2019, 10:02:57 AM
They don't really need to sell the fight because they just have a couple of days. This is the final pressure and after this they will just relax and then fight on Sunday. If Manny comes blazing in the early round I don't think that Broner can last full 10 rounds. But if it went like a back and forth battle, It might end in the judges hand and hopefully Manny can pull through.

I mentioned it a page or two back but I saw the Under is at 10.5 rounds, and pays out slightly more than 3:1. Do you think there's much of a chance for either side finishing the fight without going all the way till the last round? As we've seen, Broner does go down on occasion (though not often).

Just wondering what people think about the chances of Manny pulling off another TKO like he did with Matiesse (sp)... I didn't bet on the last fight so I don't know what the O/U was for that one.

Then there's the tiny chance that Manny himself goes down via KO or TKO before the end of the 10th round, which would also satisfy the condition of winning the under... Hmm...
8530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To save bitcoin - stop buying bitcoin cash on: January 18, 2019, 09:04:13 AM
Bitcoin cash has virtually ended and we have two new coins... Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. Both are fighting for the mining power, and both coins have no real use. They are manipulated by the whales that's why we see so much pump and dump in them. I would suggest to boycott BCH, as it is not good for the digital currencies stability.

The real use of BSV is to BE the only correct impl following the original client and white paper's purpose of p2p electronic cash. So yes. It has the best use case I can see in Bitcoin.

Onchain scaling is the right thing and keep the 10y proven security model up and running.

Blah blah blah, nobody cares. People can live with changes to what was outlined in the original whitepaper (which was far from a perfect entity by the way -- its not the bible or something) if it means not having an emotionally unstable egomaniac at the helm, such as Ver or Wright.

BSV is not bitcoin; its a fork of Bitcoin Cash, which is also not bitcoin. Reliance on the marketing tactic of inducing confusion among your potential buyers is no plan at all, and you should have realized that after BCH's failure.
8531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 17, 2019, 03:47:57 PM
To all the guys who have been here from the start of nem announcement, how many cashed out more than a million $ (or several million) during 2017-2018 peak time?

I confess I did Smiley Despite all the bashing I did at nem and nem developers back in 2014-15, thank you guys.  People forget that I owned nem stakes even when I was trolling a lot here.

Ethereum was good too.

I still own a lot of nem.

If only I had held on to my stake for 1.5 more years, I would have been in the same boat as you. Alas, I settled for a 10x profit as opposed to a 500x profit.

What's funny is I trolled here quite a bit too in the early days. I rarely click on this thread but I did today because I recognized your name. Remember kodtycoon? He sold his account a while back -- must have cashed out early than either one of us!

I still kick myself for not holding longer from time to time but ultimately its just one of those "woulda, shoulda" type deals.

Guys what were your agenda here back then?! Why were you trolling?
Was it to lower the price and buy more XEM cheaper or what?

Nope, I've never engaged in that tactic. As things are now, the forum was rife with scams even back in those days. There was a big to-do with the original dev, UtopianFuture, creating a bunch of sockpuppet accounts in order to get more stakes -- kind of went against his whole idealist philosophy of a "fairly distributed" coin.

So, trust wasn't very high. Of course NEM went on to achieve levels of success most of us never thought were imaginable.

I also used to refer to Ethereum as "Disappeareum" before its launch because it took so damn long to release... Whoops.
8532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: January 17, 2019, 03:35:05 PM

Entry level psy-op con artistry part billion and one.

"If you're buying Bitcoin because you think its Bitcoin, well I've got news for you buddy. It's NOT! This other thing that I made is Bitcoin!"

That's like the only trick up his sleeve: confuse the noobs.

Well, OK, he has one other go-to tactic: shit on bitcoin.

He already has so much money thanks to bitcoin (actual bitcoin). What's the matter with this man?

His honest rationale for keeping the word Bitcoin in "Bitcoin Cash" was that BCH would soon become more popular that BTC... Well, that never happened. It's only shrunk in popularity and price compared to BTC. BCH lost its war, and is now itself splintered into two warring factions.

Time to remove the "Bitcoin" from "Bitcoin Cash."

Its now Bcash.

Keeping the word "Bitcoin" in the title is brand name piggybacking at best and downright deceitful at worst.

Read both white papers. Most of it is a bit over my head (or a lot over my head) but I'm bookmarking this thread to keep up on the latest. Will look forward to when a Windows GUI wallet client is released.
8534  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: January 17, 2019, 01:47:59 PM
This thread got a whole lot better since I put the 2 flat earthers here on ignore.

The earth is round...

See? No objections.

However, please attempt to use the words "globular" and "spherical" rather than simply "round." FEers think that the earth is round and flat... regarding the area within the ice circle that they think surrounds the whole FE... the thing we call the South Pole, or Antarctica on GE.

Cool

Ah right, forgot about that.

The earth is an oblate spheroid.
8535  Other / Meta / Re: grin is now accepted for forum payments on: January 17, 2019, 12:11:11 PM
11 cent is 0.00003064BTC when price is $3,590. Consider the price $20k, more hash difficulties more more btc as payment fees. Multiply that with the rate $20k. This was what happened when bitcoin had it's ATH. In dollar currency people even paid more than $10 for transactions.

If you extrapolate the same 0.00003064 to $20,000 that's still only $0.61. A lot has changed between now and a year ago to help keep tx fees down, in terms of satoshis. The last time fees were this low was 2 years ago, when the price of BTC was about $390.
8536  Other / Meta / Re: grin is now accepted for forum payments on: January 17, 2019, 10:40:08 AM

I thought we will act selfish and will only promote Bitcoin. Endorsing another coin and that is coming from theymos does not look good to me for a forum where we all are here to promote bitcoin.

Not trying to suck up but I'm pretty sure he's allowed to do whatever he wants. Its an interesting take on the whole idea of cryptocurrency and I'm happy to learn about it...

I am sorry theymos, did you lose your confidence in Bitcoin because the transaction fee is high or something?

Have you transacted in bitcoin lately? The median tx fee is currently 11 cents; not exactly a dealbreaker.

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

I regularly use 4 cent fees if I'm not in a hurry.

Enjoy your trading and give us back a feedback about our platform, we are looking forward any good idea!

Looks like you already got quite a bit of feedback already. Scam project being listed on a scam exchange, wow what are the odds??

Seriously guys. Try harder next time.

I saw one sportsbar near my place and it cost like $5 to watch with free breakfast and free drinks. For those who are wondering why breakfast, usually the fight starts early in the morning here (supporting bouts) and finishes around noon with Pacquiao vs Broner, unless the supporting bouts finishes early. I don't know, I will just go to my local "barangay" and watch the fight for free with the rest of your local neighbors.
Where is this out of curiosity? Here in Angeles they have lots of sportsbars but I think it costs 200 pesos per person just to get in, then no free anything.

Watching Pacquiao fight in the Philippines is a magical moment. The whole country stops what they're doing for about an hour. This pic was during the last fight. Was hard to find a trike right then.

And then go on a drinking spree specially if Pacquiao wins his fight.  Grin

Bold move with the day drinking. But why the hell not. People were getting blitzed when Philippines won Miss Universe, too.
8540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 17, 2019, 06:51:49 AM
How do you guys feel about the over/under for this fight? The under (-10.5) is looking pretty appealing @ 3.1-3.25.

Obviously everybody expects this fight to go to decision but since Pacquaio TKO'd Matysse (sp.) last time, maybe its also possible to do to Broner?

Maybe I'll put 75% of my bet on Pacquiao ML and the other 25% on the Under. That way I can win in 3 different outcomes.

Anyone who watched the video of Manny Pacquiao with an anger 'translator'?

It's a funny video guys and it makes me laugh until now.

ROFL

Yeah that was pretty funny, except seeing that little kid in the background was kind of disconcerting... Why not move his ass out of the way before they started filming? Then again its TMZ, so, what can we expect really...
