This decision will depend on how ETH will reach when bitcoin starts to rise again. However, we saw few weeks ago when bitcoin is soaring high it was stable nearly $300 and there's no any movement at all. And now instead of it to recover the price dived $180 and that's expected for some reasons of what we've heard from Vitalik Buterin. I don't know if that's his strategy to create FUD and panic, there will be a bounce back and massive buy back.

Rumors that resulted people to panic. When there are bad news that usually give the people a reason to panic sell like the statement of Vitalik which is the well known co-owner and developer of ETH. How can someone that's very well optimistic before say that? its likely to be a FUD and FUDs will never be gone if there's an agenda to the market. |

The only way to solve those crypto related hacks is to tighten the security for that specific app.
It can be a wallet or an exchange but the hacks that we are hearing on the news happens usually from those. And if ever there will be a crypto hack which directly points out to the crypto itself, I doubt it that it will survive just like what BitcoinHodler said it will be dead.

Mine as well. There are a lot of things that I can do now because of crypto unlike before. This technology is still young and if you will take account of its achievements that's already a milestone for some companies but crypto and bitcoin is just starting and still on its early stage. |

The bloom of ICOs has come to an end and it is nearly dead. You may be optimistic to it but just like what majority are saying who can see an actual end to it is about to come. But, if that ICO has really something to offer and it will be useful and usable to their own service then it might be something else. Real world usage or use case is something what people are looking now.
ICO will not die. It will be reorganized. Instead of ICO, we will see the rise of Security Token Offerings backed by the official shares of startups. If that is it then so be it. We cant have it forever that's the reality if it won't die but it will be reorganized still there are people that will be skeptic to it after the number of ICOs that failed. The same thing can happen if there will be nothing done and possible that it will be crowded as well like this ICO era. |

Optimism is what everyone needs and it has to be with a combination of being patient.
Without these you can never succeed to cryptocurrencies. I'm most worried with the investors who newly came in and don't have the guts to encouragement themselves but listening to the advice of the people that keeps on telling them that they have to be stronger than ever and hold while they can.

I see the competition is becoming tougher for the new dex's but to the old ones which already made their market, there would be no issues and matters at all. New dex's can compete but because of traders variety with these dex's time will come that few will remain and traders will only stay to the strongest.

After a long time, Bitcoin is slowly starting to recover. So we can say opportunity time for the investors, good things are expected in the mid-market.
We better see a slow recovery rather than a quick increase which can also lead to a quick dump which we have learned from it. This period is an opportunity for those that haven't bought it up until now and although it seem to be stable at $6k~ish that's better than $5k~ish. We just want to see more of it at this time since 4th quarter is coming and time flies so quick its nearly a year after that biggest bull. |

You should move this thread to Altcoin Discussion.All this time I know Ethereum is a coin that has many advantages and many people are looking for it to exchange tokens, but I don't know that Eth has some problems and that makes Ethereum worthless.
It also has a lot of disadvantages where scammers can use it to create their coin and start their own ICO. Collect millions of dollars and later will just dump the coin they created through ETH. This is definitely right. Eth management should work on restriction on some people who can only used the smart contract. What I mean is they should have requirements for those who want to use their product since some abuse it by scmimg people. There's a lot of ICO that has been using the eth platform and 30% of it only are legit projects. Mostly are scammers who are indeed good in acting since they prepare very well all the necessary info to make their project sounds legit. Especially the selfdrop projects which is arising now. Lots of pump and dump shitcoin are being traded without any good product launch or working one. I hate this kind of introduction pf a project cause its purely trading profits only. The purpose of crypto is being neglected by this stuff. They have planned it all and this is the thing that Vitalik should focused with rather than giving some discouragement on where cryptocurrencies are going. Giving requirement to the parties that are interested to use their smart contract should be implemented. I agree on that part which is being abused by these scammers. Its just a cycle that these scammers has a plan of execution by creating and abandoning the tokens and projects that they are creating. |

Vitalik said even for the ethereum will die. All the altcoins in the ethereum and chain are condemned to die. Even the ethereum creator has lost hope  I don't know if he's saying the truth or he's just trolling. Adding tense to the current market situation will surely drive ETH down to the pit. Think of it, the co-creator said those words on his creation? then there's no hope that can be found on it by the investors and why would they will stay to ETH if the co-creator already gave up? investors or buyers are the one that give life to cryptos so even if the creator gave up or leave the project , the coin will be alive and kicking as long as there is a demand for it . so overall i dont belive that eth will become doomed . Besides , this kind of news isnt new at all because i always heard of it . sometimes they are talking about bitcoin and other altcoins such as bitcoincash but now it is now etherium. We know that thing but its just odd that he reacted that way instead of encouraging the crypto community by just keep on believing on where we are. I know the same coin that the developer gave up and its still kicking up to now and one of it is Doge. But on Vitalik's part, we may not know if he's up to something and that lead him to say those words. |

Don't be so focus and looking only at those bounty campaigns, they aren't going to stay forever. Time will come that there will be no more of them existing and the only thing that you can do is to offer service for crypto's but there's still an option for everyone and that is trading. While its still early, learn and experience on how trade but if you are not good at it, invest and hold bitcoin and this can be your retirement fund one day if you think that way.

I'm sure holding Altcoin and not panicking is the best solution for now
Panicking is a choice but inexperienced holders will definitely going to cause their own panic but holding altcoin isn't the best solution but holding bitcoin. if you convert all your altcoins to Bitcoin or become USDT it doesn't guarantee you will be successful
Converting to bitcoin is a safer coin than any altcoin. all coins experience a very severe decline now, everyone who recommends you to survive is people who have a very strong mentality and they have strong beliefs for success.

I wouldn't tell much but will use simple words such as its a digital currency that can be use as payment for goods and services online whereas the seller is willing to receive bitcoin.
It has an unstable value that the market gives depending on the demand and supply of it. And if that isn't enough its better for him/her to watch tutorials that's explanation bitcoin with some visual graphics.

Don't panic.
Newbies shouldn't look at the current market while its dipping. We can't deny that its dropping but be confident that it won't stay there. It has been down for nearly 1 year but don't be so upset if you can't see an uptrend. This isn't the end for crypto's and it has survived for how many years so look at that part.

Still optimistic though there are too many negative news that are adding to the flavor of this intense market.
Hopeful for the upcoming months and years to come. It doesn't matter if it had to take up to 2 or more months and I can wait for a year or two as long as this market will recover to its full extent. I'm a long term holder though current situation is really hurting but we have to endure.

My advice is don't be so caught up with new exchanges that you are curious with. And secure your wallets as well because hacking isn't only happening through exchanges. When there are events like this to an exchange, larger amount of funds are being robbed and that's the portion of total money of that exchange. Don't login to unusual websites and bookmark websites that you use.
