Since Bitcoin is a community the developer dont just make changes to the codes without getting a consensus in the community particularly the stakeholders. But in essence developer can deploy codes but miners play a significant role for they are the one who have the computers/hardware to process the transactions. Do you think we have a monopoly in miner?
This is not a competition.Nobody should "prevail".We need consensus between devs and miners in order to solve the main problems facing bitcoin-high fees and slow confirmation time. What do you mean by "monopoly in miner"?When more and more btc are mined,mining gets more difficult and expensive and only the big players in mining remain,but i wouldn`t say that this is a monopoly. I agree they both need to co exist, Bitcoin is successful because miners and developers are working along fine if there are miscommunication or disagreement we can easily tell by bitcoin's price dip,I am not a miner so I cannot tell wil accuracy if there are monopoly but hopefully there's not |

I just created a token for my service and my forum reward and everything is working fine in this wallet,transaction is fast and fee which is waves is not that big but I'd like about wavestoken is it makes everything so easy for developers like if you are going to create a coin and a wallet on walletbuilder it's gonna cost you 1 to 2 bitcoin.

I really believe cryptocurrencies. I invested in poloniex ( 3 K usd) made some profit but losing some money for 2-3 weeks.
I just made 4 rigs ( 4 gpus each) to mine altcoins. Recently i am mining ETH with 300 Hashrate.
And additionally i got 6.5 K usd to invest. And i am really confused.
My first choice would be to use money directly to invest in new coins that generates with itself more by holding them ( like XEM)
But i do not know what are these coins available to invest in this manner.
Or i could go all in cloudmining - buying litecoin contracts?
Or i can use poloniex to buy low sell high strategy.
Can you please give any suggestions?
I think you are not a newbie when it comes to investing, all your plans are ok and profitable you just have to widen your options like doing a good research on long term coins, coins that are in the top 20 are sure to make a profit butt they are long term investment I suggest you split your investment to short and long term investment. |

Hello everybody. I would like to invest some money in bitcoin, I don't use that money and I don't need it for the next 2/3 years. I thought I found in bitcoin the perfect way to invest. BUT when I see the fees applied I don't see how the bitcoin will become mainstream! The fees are around 1mBTC which is approximatively 3$. Therefore what is the point of bitcoin? The only thing I see : big amount transaction But bitcoin won't be the money you use to buy your sandwich with those fees! I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee? Will segwit may lower the fees? Thank you  It's still profitable to invest in Bitcoin right now and the coming segwith is a way to make transactions faster and hopefully lower, right now bitcoin is portfolio based but there's still a lot of sites and offline stores that accept bitcoin once the transaction is fix bitcoin's price will be bigger and profitable |

The safest way is to trade with a people you personally know or had a good reputation as an exchange, had no problem here in my country to buy bitcoin,there are a lot of trusted exchanger that are under our central bank or governing banking |

I don't know,there's an online in Japan that accept Bitcoin, and there's a big food shop in Germany that open it's doors to bitcoin holders and many shops online and offline accepting Bitcoin and have bought a lot of items online with my Bitcoin,what attributes are neede more to prove that bitcoin can meet our modern needs.

This could and should be checked by the bounty provider.Most of the time there are rules for this kind of jobs. As example, If the translation is done by google the bounty provider give him/her a neg.

Someone can't simply create something revolutionary in the financial system as bitcoin (which stands against everything the banking system represents) and still support banks, this simply make no sense to me, the contradiction is definitely there. I wouldn't take a word from Craig Wright seriously. I'm not even sure why and how he is back suddenly.
He tried to create his own Bitcoin bank called Denariuz Bank. The whole point of Satoshi's vision for Bitcoin was to get away from banks, and Craig Wright wanted to create a bank. I don't see any spectacular or doom scenario on August 1,this segwit must happen and this is the right time to happen there's a lot of news coming out about it's negative effect but still everything is not yet confirm,but it's highly recommend that you have your coin in a wallet where you have the private keys

I consider coins in exchange as a good and a much better option than manually exchanging through a wallet because the sysstem are in place and they can track all the swaps I hope all holders will consider one option and that is the one recommended by the dev so they can start the process right away. |

Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on. What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? I rarely use visa or master card here in our country because of to many credit card hacking but if I want to spread knowledge about Bitcoin I will just refer them to reputable sites like coindesl and cointelegraph or youtube video,they can explain it much better than myself. |
