I hope they'll continue this feature, I love watching the chat especially when people shared their big winning wagers, it's very inspiring because people are so positive and their having fun.

Its OK that they have a chatbox, but why does everybody who doesn't care have to see what people are saying as default every time they log in? It's really annoying -- I don't care about the chat at all. I know you can click it closed, and I always do. I just wish they'd do away with having it visible upon login. It's kind of annoying and distracting.
8562  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-10] If Blockchain and AI had a baby, what would it look like? on: January 14, 2019, 05:06:41 AM
Well, honestly I was just reading up on a project that is more or less attempting to do that, though the emphasis is by far greater on the AI part than the blockchain part. This isn't meant to be a promotion (I hold zero tokens) but SingularityNET is basically trying to create a decentralized platform where AI developers can meet and join forces to work towards a common goal.

https://singularitynet.io

The idea is to allow the general public to pay for access to data driven AI software, which they pay for in the term of the token, with the proceeds going to the developers. I don't think they'll be responsible for singlehandedly ushering in "the singularity," but its a cool project nonetheless.
8563  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Ok, here's a 1BTC puzzle. on: January 13, 2019, 02:31:53 PM
The solution is a 32 characters long plain-text (the private key).
As far as I know, there is no 32 character private key. A mini private key would have 30 characters.

I can only guess he means it is a brainwallet mnemonic. Don't mind giving additional hints, I've given up guessing... A couple parts that threw me was the anagram of Satoshi Nakamoto and the fact that it ends with ".txt"...

"WhyTheCombOfNatashaOtomoskiHas21" itself is 32 characters long and consists of 8 words... Hmm...
8564  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Ok, here's a 1BTC puzzle. on: January 13, 2019, 12:49:09 PM
8 camel case words is so easy to find but fitting it in 32 characters long is too hard.  Lol
By the way i don't want to waste my time on this puzzle.  Kindly show first your proofs that you own that address .such sign message like what kakmakr said.!

By the way, why would you bother mentioning you don't want to waste your time? Given by the profile's unusual post history, I would venture to guess there's at least a 50% chance this is legitimate.

Fitting it in 32 characters isn't too hard, see?

It Has One Tooth For Every Million Btcs

That's my best guess, and that's not it. I'll let some new people find this thread and work on it with this incidental bump.

When I was experiencing problems with counterwallet I downloaded the desktop FreeWallet, and that works quite nicely.

https://freewallet.io/

Just import your same mnemonic phrase into there, generate a few addresses and hopefully it will come up again.

By any chance, can you confirm that your first wallet had the same address in both instances?

If it is, just try creating all 20 addresses and see if your address #2 is one of the ones that comes up.
8566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker on: January 13, 2019, 10:21:44 AM
First don't use betcoin.ag or Nitrogensport.
Nitrogensport is a god site but they have 0 policies to prevent multi accounting

I'm just curious... Is that your primary reason why you don't like them? Most sites that offer poker I've ever played on allow multi accounts, mainly because there's no way to stop them. If you mean one person using two accounts or more and playing at the same table, then yeah, that's a problem

But what difference does it make? As I see it, if you play, for example, with someone hiding behind a few accounts, i.e. it looks like you play with 3-4 different people while in actuality you play against the same dude, then it may in fact be easier for you to win 4 times more and for them to lose as much simply because if you are more skilled, your advantage gets leveraged proportionally. Put differently, there may not be any advantage in playing a few hands at once, while it can actually become a disadvantage, and more importantly, a multiplied one

Obviously, it can help in certain games but is poker one of them?

There's absolutely an advantage because the one guy with 4 accounts can perform card counting that the single, honest player cannot. If three hearts are flopped on the table, and you have six hearts between your four hands, you obviously know the chance of the honest player holding a heart is greatly diminished (two heart even moreso).

Same thing goes with individual card numbers... Two aces flopped on the table and your two of your other accounts hold the other two, you know he can't have an ace.
8567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does blockchain technology really helps gambling? Or is it just making it worst? on: January 13, 2019, 07:41:39 AM
A couple major advantages that crypto casinos enjoy:

- no fiat restrictions: since most countries don't regard crypto as real money, its not restricted in the same manner that online fiat casinos are

- provably fair games: before the invention of the blockchain the practice of implementing provably fair games wasn't actively employed

Still, a tiny fraction of the world population uses cryptocurrency at all, so I don't think its making it worse, only better. Those who are prone to be gambling addicts are going to find a way to gamble regardless of whether crypto casinos exist or not.
8568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll🏈🏈 on: January 13, 2019, 07:29:38 AM
2 teams out of the running, and I'm 2/2 in my picks so far...

Putting a tiny wager on the Patriots tonight to beat the Chargers tomorrow by >4... line shifted favorably by half a point in the last couple of days.

I quit playing SWC because for a long time it was the same group of 4 or 5 people playing on like 4 or 5 tables at the same time.

Bump for the new page. You guys should probably just ditch this effort and start over. Or better yet, try getting a real job. You're the worst scammers I've ever seen.
8571  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 12, 2019, 05:47:22 AM
Hi everyone,

I just found this thread, just after i posted a message in BiteBtc Ann thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2791504.msg49181327#msg49181327).

I don't want to spam so i won't copy paste.

I am wondering why i just got a mail announcing my account was now fully verified as i never asked anything...

I read some messages here from people who had to wait for weeks (months?) to get verified. What does this mean ?

This probably means that the scam is entering its last phase where the exchange tries to lure a few more easy victims before shutting down. I have by now given up hope on ever seeing my money again...

Bingo. You're exactly on the money with that comment, that's why I gave you a merit.

It's a cheap trick to try to get people to deposit more money. Frankly I can't believe they haven't shut everything down and run away already. Everybody who lost serious money here should be using this time to find out as much information on these scumbags as they can... They won't have this opportunity in a week or two.
8572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll on: January 12, 2019, 05:39:49 AM
I have to go with the Chargers they look promising after beating the Ravens on the wild card round. It would be amazing if they beat another strong team like the Patriots. This could be a good time for them to win the superbowl if they can keep the momentum going. I would root for another underdog like the Colts or Cowboys if the Chargers doesn't win against Patriots tomorrow I really want to see an underdog win the superbowl.   Cheesy

Well, the spread is only 4.5 for the game, so obviously the linemakers think they have some potential. During the regular season an average spread against the Pats was like 8 or 9... or higher if they were playing against a shitty team.

Reading the title only, (I can't see the rest as you are on *ignore*), sounds like a PM would be more suitable.

No way Theymos is reading all that. It's like Mark Twain came back from the dead to bitch about forum politics.

CH... hey man (or woman), sometimes you just gotta let things go... I mean I would be pissed too if I got a red DT, and it may yet happen to me someday, but there's more to the world than this forum.

8576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats makes bitcoin Price Drop ? on: January 11, 2019, 03:13:14 PM
What is make bitcoin price drop !

when supply of a product goes up, the Price of a product goes down. Too much of a demand for the product will cause the supply to diminish. As a result, prices will rise. the product will then become too expensive . 90% of bitcoin blocks reward has already  been  mine and all crypto  currency  depend on bitcoin so the demand ratio of bitcoin is really high  still bitcoin keeps dropping
.. I want to know what is behind it !!

Lauda pissed me off, so I am selling all of my bitcoins to destroy the crypto world forever,

So it's lauda's fault. : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=101872

 Wink
I might be kidding, I might not!

I don't think you're kidding. I think you really are insane. Probably from losing all your money by investing in Bcash. Its disturbing how personal you are taking the initial red trust you got. Your actions earned you 3 more negative trusts... I really don't understand what you're still doing here. I mean feel free to carry on. At least its entertaining.
8577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll on: January 11, 2019, 07:00:41 AM
This is what we going on for Saturday and Sunday:

My picks are in bold:

301 Indianapolis
302 Kansas City    -4½

303 Dallas
304 L.A. Rams    -7

305 L.A. Chargers
306 New England   -4½

307 Philadelphia
308 New Orleans   -8

I feel most confident about New England... The spread is pretty low for that one IMO. Likewise, the spread is just too high for New Orleans, otherwise I would have picked them... Even at 7... 6 and 1/2 would have been ideal to pick N.O. for that one.

Why are you guys all registering to participate in what is very clearly a scam?

I know you are all using throwaway accounts to post here that you don't value, but why for a moment think you would ever get whatever is being promised to you out of this?

These are scammers. Scammers by nature don't follow through on their word. You are all wasting your time.

I guess they are all bot accounts, or they are hired to make project appear to have some activity.

I checked out some of the Twitter handles and I was surprised to learn they even exist. Most of them have very few if any followers and were created late last year. Pretty strange to think they can magically erase the comments on the first page that make it clear that this is a scam with a series of repetitive posts.

The funny thing is that you have an old account and then the legend was very easy to do and there is nothing to be proud of, I made for myself that you are an uninteresting person and you do nothing except that you spend all day at home, I think you don’t even have friends something normal. Above was a post that a person started and brought finances, also a high rank, that you started a circus here? before the 31st they must return everything, you have not invested money here, but have already made a conclusion. I am sure that apart from this forum and a couple of exchanges you don’t know anything on the Internet.

I may not know much but I know you're a scammer.

For the fifth time, if you had nothing to hide or worry about you wouldn't keep arguing with me. You would know that your business would speak for itself, and you needn't convince anybody of anything on a forum, because the legitimacy of the business operations would overshadow any damage some little, unimportant 'ol troll like me could do.

Yet here you are, arguing with me... Hmm...
