8581  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 10, 2019, 02:32:14 PM
I think there should be no more questions here, the trust speaks for itself, people are telling the truth

That's a "Sent feedback" genius. I sent that to somebody. All of my received red feedback is from scammers and trolls.

If your exchange isn't a scam, what do you have to be worried about? Why create 20 accounts just tell people not to worry about everybody's money disappearing? Your service will speak for itself.

However, right now its saying "scam."

News update from the forum outside the WO:

It's a shitstorm out there!

Theymos upended the whole DT system and people are raging in the streets.

Blood, everywhere.

Must be the root cause of the dump.
8583  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda and new DT list on: January 10, 2019, 01:09:08 PM

Please just answer the question. Have you now had time to review the facts regarding lauda tman and owlcatz in their extortion scheme.

No, I haven't.

Have you had time to review now that lauda was a proven scam pumper and protector for years.

Have you had time to review the evidence that lauda used investors funds he held in escrow for personal gain by moving them and gaining bch from the split?

No, I haven't, and from what I remember the evidence is murky at best. I don't understand what you're doing here on the forum. It seems like you're only here for the drama.

Stop defending Zin Zang. The guy is the most useless apparatus in a bag of tools.
8584  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 10, 2019, 11:31:26 AM
I know a few people who have been trading on BiteBTC for more than a year, I have not heard complaints about the exchange from them.

You are the exchange, scammer. Let's see what Twitter currently has to say, shall we? (by the way, I haven't checked yet, am doing so now)

https://twitter.com/bitebtccom/status/1082957042355261440

5 hours ago: "U scam😠 my all Coin empty in bitebtc exchange I lost my all coins"

11 hours ago: "bitebtc restore and return our funds."

15 hours ago: "I registered my account with same id, still my balance is zero, how would we know wallets and txid until, it's recorded inside bitebtc. I sent my Ethereum address belongs to Bitebtc, through which I bought TCH swapped coins, hopefully they will fix this mess, if not, they r cheat"

17 hours ago: "fix this mess you've made"

Sounds like people are still pretty unhappy. Like I said before, if your exchange wasn't a scam, there'd be no reason to create a flood of newbie accounts to defend it in the Scam Accusations section.
8585  Other / Meta / Re: Concerns with new DT1 logic on: January 10, 2019, 11:05:28 AM

Hmmmm this is a nice attitude ... or are you saying that people should act purely selfishly and not wish for a better fairer system for all because they themselves will not essentially benefit from it??

Explain

Gladly. This is exactly what Theymos et. al. are trying to do -- make a fairer system. I trust his judgment on how to do such far more than I trust Quickseller's. That about sums it up.

BTW you can change your sig if you want -- the website it points to is no longer online. I mean I'm sure Bruno appreciated your help but the ICO was a bigtime bust and needs to be reincarnated to go any further.

Why are you guys all registering to participate in what is very clearly a scam?

I know you are all using throwaway accounts to post here that you don't value, but why for a moment think you would ever get whatever is being promised to you out of this?

These are scammers. Scammers by nature don't follow through on their word. You are all wasting your time.
8587  Other / Meta / Re: Concerns with new DT1 logic on: January 10, 2019, 10:32:58 AM
Ranking up is one of the motivation for a user to continue on learning about bitcoin and later on will invest.

Wrong, not everyone is here to be a bounty hunter. I took 2-3 years more than needed to get to Legendary, I didnt wear a paid signature for the first 4 years on the forum.

Just because you feel a certain way it does not mean everyone else is in the same situation.

I can attest to this, was in the same boat. Lurker since 2013, member since 2014, never wore a sig until very recently.

At some point people stopped joining this forum as a hobby and started joining it as a potential profession, which I still find to be quite weird. It's pretty easy to tell which newcomers are actually a fan of crypto and which are here for the shit tokens just by the content of their posts.

Furthermore QT I don't see why you care what the DT is like because your reputation has been blown to shit regardless how you rejigger your trust settings. Frankly I don't understand why you continue to post under that account.
8588  Other / Meta / Re: [Explained] How DT system works on: January 10, 2019, 05:24:08 AM
DT does not work,

It is just a bunch of assholes using it to lessen their competition for escrow services.

 Cool

I would say its working just fine, because this is yours, exactly how it should be:

So your co-founder is Sacha Baron Cohen but using a different name and a fake moustache?

I mean he does like to do different characters but I don't think he needs the extra money from fraud ICOs.

Can't believe you paid for a Copper Membership just to do this, bud.

Everybody considering investing in this (if there's actually anybody) should definitely read this thread first:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093456.0

Proof of de-authentication. Your website tried to pass off a famous actor as your co-founder. This project is a fraud. I can't believe you're even considering going forward with it after such a sloppy execution. But carry on, your evasion technique is proving to be quite humorous.
8590  Other / Meta / Re: Most new accounts do not contribute anything on: January 09, 2019, 02:00:08 PM
Why do i need to prove anything? Because of what?
He isnt scammer? You say. Am i?

Turns out he was a scammer, and Vod was right all along... He still logs into the forum but doesn't post anything.
8591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Backed with 1:1 ( Stable Coin ) USDT on: January 09, 2019, 01:15:15 PM
Since October Tether has been slowly taking coins out of circulation, probably because of all the pressure coming down on them to vouch for their tokens. Was Tether overprinting tokens? Probably; its hard to say for sure. In the last year 4 other stablecoins have entered the market that are currently in the top 100.

Because Tether is not absolutely kept at $1 (its currently $1.02), this is why the total coins in circulation don't match the market cap. What coinmarketcap.com currently says about them isn't too much to worry about.
8592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Unveils World's First Quantum Computer for Commercial Use on: January 09, 2019, 12:56:00 PM
I'm interested in the wider implications of this story. Chiefly, I wonder if a provably functional quantum computer lends credence to the idea that a multiverse exists -- that there is an infinite array of parallel universes where reality is unfolding in a different way than it is in our universe.

No doubt in a nearby parallel universe I woulda HODL'd my 2014 altcoin collection and been a multimillionaire.

But then again there's also universes where I'm a billionaire for reinventing the online porn industry.

Then there's also a parallel universe where I'm a world-renowned disc golf champion, and disc golf is the world's most popular sport.
8593  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 09, 2019, 11:02:50 AM
As I understand the team is busy returning deposits to accounts that were lost due to problems in the data center

If you weren't currently conducting an Exit Scam then you wouldn't need to post messages like this to this forum. Its quite obvious what's going on. A legitimate exchange doesn't need a half-assed army of noob accounts in order to vouch for its legitimacy. Legitimate exchanges don't engage in this behavior because they don't need to.
8594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple and undeniable proof that Bitcoin is a scam on: January 09, 2019, 07:46:22 AM
OP's long-winded post does not constitute "proof" of anything.

If you buy bitcoin just to HODL it and hope for a miracle, well, that's your decision. Nobody is forcing anybody to buy bitcoin. If you buy bitcoin to use it for what it was intended: an easy way to move currency on the internet and across borders, then you're not losing anything except from purchase and transaction fees.

I use BTC just about every day, for purchases, to send money to people, to buy other coins, to buy phone data, and then for recreational stuff like sports gambling. There's no authority telling me I should or have to buy bitcoin; I do it out of my own free will, just like everybody else.

Edit: I just saw this topic was created on Dec 3rd.

How can we do that for Bitcoin?

mining cost equilibrium is the bottom line value

its its cheaper to mine then buy people mine if its cheaper to buy than mine people buy.

so look for the most effiecient mining cost and you learn the bottom line mining cost which miners wont sell below
you soon learn the number of times the price went below bottomline mining costs ovr many years is negligable because people are not fooilish

Still feel the same way franky?

This theory is now officially out the window. Most miners are now mining at a loss.
8595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll on: January 09, 2019, 04:27:52 AM
I went with Los Angeles Chargers, I'm not a fan of American football though but, I've once placed bet recently on Los Angeles Chargers against Denver broncos and won. Cheesy
It would be nice, If tips and predictions could be shared on this thread, I'll be looking to make some bets.

I wouldn't mind if the Chargers won this one. Last time they made it to the Super Bowl was 1995, and they've never won! Philip Rivers is a top notch QB, probably doesn't have too many years left in him -- this could be his last real shot.

I wish I could offer you some predictions but I got crushed this year, lost over 50% of my regular season bets. Two teams that tend to outperform through the whole year were the Rams and the Chiefs, but when it comes to playoffs, team performance tends to be a different story. You want to look for teams that have a proven record of being able to handle the stress and the pressure of post-regular season play, which the Patriots have.
8596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BiteBTC is a scam exchange on: January 09, 2019, 04:15:46 AM
I still cannot get to my account, the wrong code is 2fa. A friend has already blocked his account, he has nothing in his account.
I'm confused. Have you installed 2fa verification on your account and forgot your password?

I'll help explain it to you scammer. You are preventing people from accessing their accounts. This is happening to all your customers with significant balances. Your scam is up. You should probably run and hide.
What offer, are you talking about? because people are trading on the stock exchange, why are you trying to prove something that is not really there? I do not understand your logic

Congrats, you've been added to the list of scammer accounts. Its on _you_ to prove BiteBTC _isn't_ a scam; its not on us to prove to you that it is.

I encourage everybody in Singapore to go to the physical address of this exchange and ask what the problem is. The address was posted on the last page.

I've been around long enough to know this is 100% an exit scam, so if you're serious about getting your money back you will go there in person.
8597  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2019, 04:51:53 PM
Well, without saying anything else, you are making no case.

The case we're making is that you really haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about and you're not to be trusted.

yeah, i lost my only chance to buy cheap bch at $92

Yup! BCH price was going up very fast, i missed the chance to buy at below $100

Of course, next week you may be looking back thinking 'I should have bought when it was below $300'. Don't be that guy.

jbreher wrote this when BCH was ~$195. One week later it was down to $165. Its currently at $159. Then in other threads he claims that his trades are somehow magically still profitable  Roll Eyes

jbreher, want me to dig up the quotes where you said CSW's (empty) threat letter to Ver was rational, or how you said there's a chance he's Satoshi? Specifically you said you don't know he's _not_ Satoshi. Well, I know. Pretty much everybody does who is not completely delusional about BSV.

One example by picking a random date:

Beecoin Crash at 0.072.  Might be a good trade

My standing orders have been getting hit. Wink

Sorry if I pick on you a lot, it just seems like your hobby is actively deceiving others for no other intention than you get kicks from it. One of my pet peeves.
8598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll on: January 08, 2019, 04:35:34 PM
I bet on the saints before the season, so I hope they win. I wouldn't mind seeing anyone win but the Patriots.

I agree with you, I'm pretty sick of seeing the Patriots win. But one thing I've learned is that you can't let emotions cloud your judgments if there's money on the line.

So you took the Saints before the season started... What were your odds for that? Like 12:1?

Gonna be rooting for the Rams on Saturday though I don't think I'll put any money on it.

I guess NFL doesn't really mix with Bitcointalk.

And you guys really outdid yourselves with this one:

The face is changed using some sort of facial feature generator program. I thought maybe you created him in The Sims but it turns out you took a picture from an online clothes store and drew a new face on him.

https://www.dhgate.com/discount/navy-blue-coat-pant-three-piece-on-sale.html

This is by far the poorest attempt at a scam I've ever seen. Its so bad its funny.
8600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUGGYRA COIN ZERO, first blockchain-powered global heavy duty racing enterprise! on: January 08, 2019, 04:16:11 PM
do the advisors even know that they are advisors?

That's a good question... I looked some of them up and one guy in particular is also heading a real estate ETH token. I didn't even know professional truck racing was a thing before I saw this coin had a hundred million dollar market cap, making it bigger than a good deal of companies listed on the NASDAQ.

It has a pretty novice-looking website, no hype to be found anywhere, pretty small volume for a coin its size, and your supposed to use it for what exactly? -- I wonder who is actually buying this thing.
