861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a massive BTC dump? on: November 18, 2020, 03:41:30 AM
We can't really tell about the massive drop. But what scares me is to bitcoin to go steady with the price and will suddenly dump like before. Which is not happening yet because it is increasing smoothly and resistance level of $17k actually broken which tells that it can go further higher up to $19k or $20k level.

4. Bitcoin is used for illicit activity.
It's neither true, nor false. Like cash Bitcoin can be used for criminal activity, but it isn't the only use case.

That's why other governments tend to be hesitant to fully legalized bitcoin because of this issue--they are using it in illegal activities. Well, criminals are doing all the way aside from cash and they thought using bitcoin will finally mask their identity.

Bitcoin is too volatile to be a store of value.

But let us admit that even though we knew that it is too volatile, many are still getting the opportunity of this volatile market and make bitcoin as a store of value because we truly benefits from its unstable price and that's make him advantageous compare with othet store value assets.
863  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crypto Exchange on: November 17, 2020, 11:09:32 AM
They are offering low fees and free withdrawal fees for two months in their ATM crypto cards. That's to attract users for using the exchange. However, what I interested most was how secured the data you collected will not be leaked. As I've read, you collected data when we signed up, also from our browser.  I don't think other exchanges required us to give financial infos like businesses, billing address, trading associations, etc. Hope you get my point, OP.
864  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: newbie question about changenow on: November 17, 2020, 08:38:20 AM
Still learning, but if I have a bitcoin key and go to changenow and convert the key to fiat, from what I understand, the fiat is then transferred to my wallet.

You just need to input keys when you open up your account in a wallet/exchange to access your account and not to use that key to exchange your coin into fiat. And yes, you can directly exchange that into fiat like USD but make use of an exchange that supports and have change now like others were suggested (bestchange, binance or MEW).

BUT, this is your main question

Quote
How do I get it out of my wallet to my bank?

After exchanging it into fiat, download reputable local exchange that is certified in your country and you can definitely transfer that fiat money in your digital wallet directly to your bank.

All new to me, but what I want to avoid is an exchange where I try to cash out and the exchange gets  hacked etc.

Use exchanges that are already established. But let me remind you that even those established, old and reputable exchanges has been tested it's security system because they've been hacked before. E.g. binance.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super-Expensive Bitcoin Cash Wristwatch on: November 17, 2020, 06:27:52 AM
It looks so elegant. And the fact that it was made by Swixx luxury watch explains why this cold storage watch worth the price. Also, it is a limited edition so expect that the price is higher than the usual crypto watch we've seen before. It's good how they make innovative watch connected with the innovative and advanced technology we had today.
866  Economy / Gambling / Re: Be Aware Phishing Roobet.com on: November 17, 2020, 03:33:10 AM
Whew, glad that fake website was reported and can't already access it now. Or else, those who aren't aware that it has been copied, I mean from the domain into the layouts and everything. They'll gonna thought it was the legit one. I've seen one gambling site that has been copied the whole layout, too but with different domain name but this one is exemption. I can't imagine if ever those newly register users will gonna deposit on that unlegit site and can't withdraw. What the heck, scammers are truly targeting crypto gambling sites, now.

Great job, OP for the quick and good catch. Glad, I had bookmarked roobet's url in my browser so I'm sure I am opening the right site.
867  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: CHRISTIAN ALBERT GAZA a.k.a "Xian Gaza" Introduce his own coin on: November 17, 2020, 12:20:51 AM
Kung ako ang tatanungin, can we trust this project that will be fully manipulated?
It will be controlled according din mismo yan kay Xian Gaza. Well, para maniwala ang dalawang libo mahigit na holders, siguro ay malilist naman ito sa mga exchanges. At naniniwala yong mga nag invest na malaki ang kikitain nila dito, which I highly doubt sa totoo lang. Parang ginawa lang ulit ni Xian itong another way to scam people.

Isa ako sa nag aabang sa kung paano ang kalalabasan nitong coin ni Xian dahil kung icocompare mo sa ibang mga matatagal ng coin ay mas mahal pa itong coin niya and unsure pa ang potential sa crypto industry.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 16, 2020, 01:08:25 PM
It happens that Ive tried that strategy you want. Stick to best team, they will not conquer all the wins. What I mean was that, a game is a game and expect some turn the tables situations in a game. Perhaps, you can do some parlay bet strats but winning on many games is a pure luck.

I knew sports bettor guy who usually wins in sports betting, he did some background check by DYOR to those teams before betting. Well, it is best to know the capability and the past performance of a team, right?
869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I study to learn how to trade? on: November 16, 2020, 08:26:27 AM
Can someone point me to where I should begin?
And one more question: What is the minimum amount of money needed to start?

Since you are new in trading, try to learn the difference between the fundamental analysis vs technical analysis. This will gonna help you in your first trading experience. The moment you will learn about reading indicators, you should at least try by doing some long term trading rather than short term or daily trading.

And if you are asking about the minimum money needed, just have a fund that you can afford to lose and get ready with all the risks when doing these. There are minimum deposit amount of fund in some exchanges for you to be able to proceed. Read, learn and incorporate.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DYP became another shit bounty project on: November 16, 2020, 06:15:40 AM
If there is nothing suspicious, why do they have to banned the member of their telegram group because he questioned the bounty management? And also, changing rules is not the basis if the project is a piece of shit or not. I am not defending the project itself and seems it was managed unprofessionally that is why many are saying that this project is useless.

According to this website, their bounty was already closed.
That is why maybe OP said 200 eth were locked. Also, seems DYP team doesn't yet responded to the scam accusations or haven't reach to them yet to clear the things up

 And to those who are seeking for their telegram channel, here it is;

871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a cartoon movie revealing the secret of Bitcoin and Darknet on: November 16, 2020, 05:24:09 AM
For everyone that feels that talshachar's video demonstrates talent, I would like you to watch this video. It's my first ever and it took about an hour.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwsRDW7q82E

Lol, awesome man! I am more entertained with what you made.
Anyway, @OP isn't a joke to reveal "untruth and baseless" opinions and theory through animations? You are pointing fingers to the US constitutions and this is something that you shouldn't continue. Or at least, make another content rather than this one. Another video that the newbies will be interested of watching it. It is significant that you know what you are making. Conspiracy theory videos were not a good idea, just saying.

It's funny how the video said they will prevent the btc to bubble and they will back it up anonymously. It seems the video is telling that bitcoin is controlled by the institution.
872  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility determined by percentage of traders vs hodlers? on: November 16, 2020, 02:27:35 AM
You just make it complicated. Let's make it simple then.

Will those number of traders/holders affect the btc volatility?

Ofcourse, the more they hold and sell the bitcoin the more it affects the price. Remember that the price of btc always depends on yhe "supply and demand". So if that holders (whales for example) sell off huge amount of bitcoin, btc price will plummet.  Same goes with the percentage of traders but there are actually many reasons for the price volatility of bitcoin. Like for example, news events, legal matters, etc.

874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 14, 2020, 01:41:19 AM
Akropolis released an open letter to the hackers;

Quote
We would like to propose that you return the funds of our community members within 48 hours and in return we will offer a $200,000 USD bug bounty. We will take measures to protect your identity as required.
If you decide not to cooperate we will pursue criminal action and contact law enforcement.

They've admitted the hacks, the security is not really safe on this defi platform systems. Good thing they have a plan to compensate their user's funds but this doesn't get rid the fact that they are prone to hacks and their reputation changed suddenly because of this incident. Defi projects like this loan/trading platforms are still new however giving most of the users now the doubt because they had the weak security that a decentralized finance should have strong guaranteed about it's security because they are handling finances.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOUC a good example of project recovering from dump because of it's potential on: November 13, 2020, 09:47:38 AM
Dont blame it all ito the bounty hunters. Teams also holding that coin since it was launched and I believe they are holding much than bounty hunters. Actually, if we can see this from coinmarketcap.

The ATH was two months ago, and it hardly go back to that price and 6 days ago it was down so much. I can't say YOUC can become a potential altcoin as the progress not that good and ranked 3018 atm in CMC.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 13, 2020, 07:52:50 AM
Those who have been in crypto industry for a long time already know how and when to sell their altcoins off. Dump times means an opportunity to buy more but newbies or even some were regretting after selling their altcoins because they were carried away by panic selling.

A wise altcoin holder will make a target profit and a target price before selling their altcoins, if not, holding it one of the alternative way to still make.
877  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 04:26:49 AM
Many reasons why bitcoin price rally and very bullish. Defi of course is one of the reason. If you notice, after the paypal announcement the price of btc suddenly rises and it is steady at this price preparing for another bull run. Those you have stated here were possibly the reasons why btc is still bullish but to point out some which I've read in here that Increased Institutional Participation is one of the reason, too why it is bullish.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: November 13, 2020, 02:24:17 AM
There are actually online casinos that requires you to deposit first before withdrawing your wins.
 As for riobet, they have actually a Curacao Licensed, a permit in a gambling house which I always look for a particular gambling site. But what I don't like in their site is the informations we need to submit in registration;

I also find out here about this one, did you avail this one, OP?

879  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ABS CBN Youtube account Hacked (Ripple scam giveaway) on: November 12, 2020, 12:48:31 PM

880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin countries: top hotspots that use BTC on: November 12, 2020, 07:27:04 AM
Im aware that our country in Asia (preferably Philippines) aren't yet btc hotspot. Bitcoin ATMs here aren't that widely spread and less than 10 were just put up in few cities. Also, there areany rural areas here that wasn't reach new technology like this of blockchain tech.

Had a chance to visit the link. Nice to see countries who are very pro bitcoin which started the massive adoption already.
