18) BitcoinTalk is now run like a tight ship. A lot fewer trolls, enforcing bans, and mods moving threads for no apparent reasons.  Grin (only kidding, BadBear)

Biggest improvement I've seen here Smiley.
862  Economy / Speculation / Re: slow day, I know why on: February 28, 2012, 06:46:57 AM
why do mods allow this shit here?  is this not the speculation forum?

The President understands tech very well, and he is on our side.

How does this indicate "understanding of tech"?
I mean it in a broad perspective.

This President believes in technology, free speech, and the two correlating with each other in an anonymous fashion.

865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I am not afraid of sharing bad ideas. on: February 27, 2012, 02:26:11 AM
I was open to sharing "bad" ideas when I first came to this forum. But after meeting some of the sociopaths here, I have realized that in this place it's better to just stay quite...

We've seen how you treat people who try to help you with your ideas.
Ahh I wonder who you are referring to...

I will tell you this much.

Part of the reason why it's hard to share ideas in this forum and then in return TAKE ADVICE, is because it's hard to distinguish who's here to be serious, and who's simply here to troll.

I can say that my conversations in more closed Bitcoin communities/circles, are alot more productive than my exchanges here. This place has become a "for fun" place for me, and I have stopped taking it seriously aside from a public point of communication.

If BTC's were in the triple digits the trolls would turn into millionaires/merchants/scammers/.

Either way we would finally have an investment forum  Cheesy.

Right now (aside from a few people), no one cares..

Viper never really believed in SolidCoin.
You are being pretty damn mean in your analysis BTCex. Lets just hope that this gets through to ViperJBM.

Viper you wouldn't push the currency, if people really knew who you were would you?

Why do you think I had problems being moderator over there?

That 12 million coin pre-mine is like a curse hanging over the head of the entire project and should be enough to scare anyone away, no matter what the "technical limitations" may be .

868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Magazine on: February 26, 2012, 10:16:25 PM
Sorry about the wait guys, I had to sit my ban out for being myself.

I just wanted to say this again (if I haven't posted it here already). The magazine is done. 100%. There is nothing else to add (although something else might get added at the last minute, you know how it is..)

What we're waiting on right now is standards compliance with printers, designers, advertisers and writers. This is the curse of doing things with a large group, but it's a growing pain that will only affect the first issue. Everyone's patience is admirable and I will never forget it. That said, we'll never let you forget it with how hard we'll be pumping these puppies out at mostly our own expense.

I've been sick (and annoyed by matters best dropped at this point) but overall our process for creating future issues was the biggest hurdle so far and frankly speaking every issue will be better then the one before it.

Hang in there guys. I would rather put a bullet through my head than walk away from this project. This is what I was born for (showing Bruce how to do it right).
Thank for the update Matthew.

Good things come to those who wait!

"The Obama administration is calling for stronger privacy protections for consumers as mobile gadgets, Internet services and other tools are able to do a better job of tracking what you do and where you go.

Administration officials outlined a proposed "Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights" on Thursday and urged technology companies, consumer groups and others to jointly craft new protections. Such guidelines would initially be voluntary for companies, but those that agree to abide by them could be subject to sanctions for any violations.

"As the Internet evolves, consumer trust is essential for the continued growth of the digital economy," President Barack Obama said in a statement. "That's why an online privacy Bill of Rights is so important. For businesses to succeed online, consumers must feel secure." "

We need to let our voices be heard on this new Consumer Privacy Legislation.

878  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: February 21, 2012, 03:08:32 AM
As an ex-mod of Solidcoin.

This makes PERFECT sense...

I dealt with two VERY different RS's.

Parnell (if that's really who the Original RS was) was an AWESOME guy.

I was under the impression that he turned bitter from all the BS thrown at him on here, but now it all makes sense...
879  Other / Off-topic / Re: Idea: Ban a user for $10 in Bitcoins. on: February 20, 2012, 10:22:35 AM
We really need to get some good SMF/VB/BB devs in here to make us some good BTC plugins.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does RealSolid manipulate the vote that could make him step down? on: February 20, 2012, 09:45:48 AM
So that is why you shut down the mined block rewards, to prevent any one else from getting enforcer nodes. BWT, web of trust isn't a slogan or keyword. It is in fact what PGP authentication was originally based on and you could have just cut and paste that code (after removing all the licenses and claiming it as your own work of course). No wonder the Bitcoin devs didn't give you the time of day.

Haha, "dude there is like this code that is open source, simple copy-paste job". Well you just outed yourself as NOT A PROGRAMMER. Let's keep listening to you the moron about programming should we? No let's not.

You can force changes on the Solidcoin network with code updates and people have to upgrade or your enforcer nodes shut them out of the network. That is what the enforcer nodes are there for, to "protect" the solidcoin blockchain from undesirables. Bitcoin has no such capability, they require the community support to make protocol changes. If the community doesn't use the new version, the changes cannot be forced on them by a single meglo-maniacal agent.

If a theoretical forceful change did harm the network then other people could easily resume the network from a prior point WITH NEW KEYS. It's hilarious to think that you believe RealSolid could scam other people and simultaneously claim a license hold over the project! hint: it's only one or the other.

Bitcoin devs could easily change whatever they wanted and force the people that matter onto that route. You believing otherwise is what we call delusion.

The Soiledcoin "devs" (and I used that word loosely) are on the same page because you hold all the keys and they know it. They have 1.2 million coins, they just keep their mouths shut and wait for the pump and hope they get in on the dump. No shit they don't disagree with anything you say. Plus, anyone who ever disagreed with you has already been run off anyway.

Look what you did there you made a pun, "soiled coin devs use it loosely". Real mature kid. Idiots like you with the brain the size of a pea and the damaged self image of columbine loner are what is helping bring Bitcoin down. Thanks for making our job easier.
And the 12 million spendable coins hovering over everyone's heads is whats holding Solidcoin back...

No matter how you slice it, there are 12 million coins that can be used at any time to scam the entire user base.
