861  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30k Bitch!!! on: April 11, 2023, 09:22:52 PM

It was to be expected. I was one of the people who kept saying that bitcoin is undervalue sub 20 000 and that not buying it at 18 or 19 thousand is a waste, but people were so scared by FTX that doom and gloom mood prevailed for months.
That said, I'll be surprised if we go past 35 000. 28-35 looks like a range we could stay for a while. The mood isn't bullish enough to take us back to the 40s.

I have to find Gareth Soloway who kept repeating on Kitco and other channels for the last year that the bottom isn't in and that he's waiting for 10k to buy. He's going to need a pack of tissues.

control.

This meme though is amazing hahahah. I hope we can get enough gas to shoot up to the 40s but 30k a coin holding steady for a while is fine by me. I think we can break past that especially with this widespread banking panic
862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of operating completely anonymous on: April 11, 2023, 09:20:18 PM
what are the best measures one can take in any given region for the sake of remaining completely anonymous online with not only bitcoin transactions but online anonymity with delicate private information...
Bitcoin users can best give you advice on staying pseudo-anonymous with bitcoin, you can achieve this by:
  • Avoiding KYC/AML compliant exchanges
  • Running your own node over Tor
  • Keeping your cold storage wallet off the internet
  • Not linking your offline identity with your bitcoin addresses
  • Using change addresses.

...but online anonymity with delicate private information on not only location whereabouts but financial data, social data, phone number and email privacy etc?
Bitcoin helps with financial privacy. For the others, research on throwaway phone numbers and emails, also check up privacy email services.

Thanks! This is a good little write up here. I just saw that the US Government is actually trying to outlaw the use of a private VPN punishable by a million dollar fine and 10 years in prison with this tik tok legislation they are trying to push that though and take away all your privacy away basically. Sad times we are living in. They are after complete contol.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The importance of operating completely anonymous on: April 11, 2023, 02:17:10 AM
If anyone can please add their expertise here on being completely anonymous for the sake of the masses. In a world that is centering on control and tracking activity as a means of control, what are the best measures one can take in any given region for the sake of remaining completely anonymous online with not only bitcoin transactions but online anonymity with delicate private information on not only location whereabouts but financial data, social data, phone number and email privacy etc?

865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What if they tried it on: April 10, 2023, 02:28:46 PM
What if the governments across the world attempted to seize all of your crypto assets like the US seized all gold from their citizens in the 1900s. Now I'm seeing articles talking about how the US government is trying to be able claim private property.

I think that ultimately this would be very challenging for any government to successfully accomplish. This would cause a revolutionary period again in our world I imagine....

JUST IN: 🗺 The World foreign exchange reserves fell by a record $958 billion US dollars in 2022, while world official gold reserves went up by a record 1,136 tonnes.

It is true that the numbers are still far from the total supply of the US dollar, but all things can change with the passage of years or the occurrence of a major event such as what is happening now in terms of political blocs.

The banks know that we're about to see probably the worst financial collapse maybe ever, so no wonder they are all loading up on gold. I think every world government is, they're probably using what's left of their US dollar reserves to do so as well....
867  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: April 07, 2023, 06:00:08 PM
How long in years should I go before I give up and close down a business that is unprofitable?

I was listening to a podcast where Kelvin O'Neal1 was featured. He said, "If you are not making money after 36months(3 years), you've gotta take a behind the barn and shoot it. It's just a hobby. It's not a business."

According to him, "people can get so stuck on a bad idea that they just keep thinking that if I keep working on it, it's going to fix itself. It doesn't fix itself. It was put on your journey to teach you, what not to do."

- To what extent do you agree or disagree with this assertion ?

-Have you had a business that even though it wasn't profitable in the first three (3) years, then it  kicked off to bring in good returns in the fourth (4th) year?

This is tough question to answer because it's completely subjective on one's business and drive. How badly do you want success, are you willing to do whatever it takes? If this business isn't a passion and you aren't completely obsessed with it and convinced that you can't make money on it, even after the 3rd year of trying with all of your might then I would say throw in the towel cut your losses and move on to find the next business that will be successful. Sometimes calling it quits too early though also takes away the chance for success if done so too early. Just a super tough call. Can you elaborate more on the business?

871  Economy / Economics / Re: Ditch the Dollar on: April 06, 2023, 03:24:37 AM
I feel like its literally US against the world right now. I think most countries are sick and tired of the FED creating money out of thin air. The problem is that every country is so intertwined with the USD that it would take years to fully decouple, but its clear that this process has been jump started and that eventually the fall of the USD is inevitable, at least to be replaced as the world reserve without question. Although we always knew that this day was coming, just not quite so soon...... Good thing we are all acquainted wth BTC Cheesy
872  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: April 06, 2023, 03:12:44 AM
Gold buyers binge on biggest volumes for 55 years
Central banks are scooping up gold at the fastest pace since 1967, with analysts pinning China and Russia as big buyers in an indication that some nations are keen to diversify their reserves away from the dollar.
Data compiled the World Gold Council, an industry-funded group, has shown demand for the precious metal has outstripped any annual amount in the past 55 years. Last month’s estimates are also far larger than central banks’ official reported figures, sparking speculation in the industry over the identity of the buyers and their motivations.

The last time this level of buying was seen marked a historical turning point for the global monetary system. In 1967, European central banks bought massive volumes of gold from the US, leading to a run on the price and the collapse of the London Gold Pool of reserves. That hastened the eventual demise of the Bretton Woods System that tied the value of the US dollar to the precious metal.
Last month the WCG estimated the world’s official financial institutions have bought 673 tonnes. And in the third quarter alone central banks bought almost 400 tonnes of gold, the largest three-month binge since quarterly records began in 2000.

“The message these central banks are sending by putting a larger share of their reserves in gold is that they don’t want to be reliant on the US dollar as their main reserve asset,” Menke said.
Some in the industry speculate Middle Eastern governments are using fossil fuel export revenues to buy gold, most likely through sovereign wealth funds.

The world continues dumping US dollar, I've already talked about India buying gold and many times about Iran accumulating gold over the past couple of years. Now we have evidence of the other Eastern powers buying large amounts of gold. Many other smaller countries that don't fall into the global geopolitics like Qatar, Turkey, Uzbekistan, some African countries, etc. are also accumulating more gold.

This is the New World Order that is forming in front of our eyes, the old Dollar standard is slowly but surely going away which is causing high inflation in US as all the unbacked dollars they'd printed all these years are being dumped on USA itself and even higher inflation is seen in any country that is importing US inflation like Europe. Experts suggest that if US wasn't exporting its inflation, the real US inflation would have been somewhere north of 450% and that's where it's headed as the dollar dumping continues.

I recently watched an analyst who suggested that this is World War 3 which will be fought (at least for now) economically. The East vs. West as the East dumps US dollar that strains US economy. China suddenly lets loose COVID on the world (this past 2 weeks) that is already showing an increase in EU and US. Oil price ends the year with the 2nd straight annual gain and the general high energy prices among other things is slowly rendering EU useless as an economy and industrial power.

Although economy is not the only battlefield (we have energy, food and actual armed conflict between proxies) but it is affecting us the most. It is even affecting bitcoin price as it has successfully prevented its rise to higher ATH last year and even changed its bull trend and crashed the price below the previous (2017) ATH for the first time in bitcoin history.

With that said, 2023 outlook is already bad economically speaking.
How much of the points I raised do you agree with and how do you see 2023 specially when dollar dumping continues?

All good points you have laid out here m8, I would have to agree that 2023 outlook is bleak, I was mentioning this in another thread I created today. The gold dogs have been released to wreak havoc and I do believe that most countries are moving away from the US Dollar and dumping straight into Gold and other assets, clearly, and many more countries are hopping on the SHIT ON THE US Dollar band wagon daily.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon CEO of Chase Bank on Banking Crisis on: April 06, 2023, 03:07:20 AM
^^ Regardless of what Jamie Dimon says though, it's pretty obvious that the world is suffering from economic woes and every smart individuals are looking for some asset to hedge their wealth.

It could be gold, or stocks, but for us, it will still be BTC. I mean it has proven itself already during the pandemic, when it become a store of value. And for those who trusted it, then everyone is rewarded in the last bull run when the price goes to a new all time high. And it will definitely repeat itself next year for another massive bull run.

Can't wait for that next ATH m8! I spoke to some 70 yr old guy over the phone today and all he does is longing gold equities ETFs such as GLB, GDX, and Gold Miners, he mentined ETH and BTC too!! He said that he just follows the big guys right now and has been doing great. He also mentioned that crypto is verrrrry interesting right now, and a lot of what is going on w/ gold right now reminds him of the beginning of Sep 2010 when gold spiked 100+%. Also noteworthy, he told me his secret from evading the IRS tax code to the fullest is to follow code 429 or just search Trader Tax Status or TTS to pay the absolute least to the IRS if you're a US Citizen. Definitely going to check that out, I am interested now...

https://news.bitcoin.com/saudi-arabia-and-opec-reveal-surprise-oil-production-cut-white-house-insists-cuts-arent-advisable-right-now/

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia and several major oil producers announced their plan to cut oil production by 1.15 million barrels per day, starting in May and continuing until the end of 2023. According to the Saudi Energy Ministry, the move was coordinated with some members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members as a “precautionary measure” to stabilize the oil market.

Are the US authorities no longer in control of the world situation?

I think they are all teaming up to rug pull the US here. All part of the obvious and synchronized plan to get everyone off of USD.

I think this is a good news as we have this crypto enthusiast organization that continue to buy more bitcoin. Microstrategy bought more bitcoin. Its total holding is now 140000 BTC.

876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 05, 2023, 09:56:21 PM
as we know today btc is in the range of 28000, and i was very lucky to be able to buy btc when the price was still low, and now if i sell it i have a profit but if i sell it now i'm afraid i won't be able to
buying from the bottom again,, and I'm currently struggling to hold btc so I don't sell it,

I want to ask if you also  keep holding btc?

and the reason I hold btc is because I believe the price of btc in 2024 will be high and there will be no more btc prices like now.

1000% still holding. Bitcoin is one of the rarest coins in history and to not have any at all is foolish! Hold on to them for dear life, don't let go unless you absolutely have to. Time will reward you
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Jamie Dimon CEO of Chase Bank on Banking Crisis on: April 05, 2023, 09:53:13 PM
Hey guys,

Yesterday Jamie released a 43 page report to shareholders on current events. One of his key talking points was that the banking crisis is not yet over, and that there will be serious repercussions on the markets for years and years to come. This is of course great news for BTC but not so great for the global economy. He basically stated that we're just getting started with the banking crisis here guys, so buckle your seat belts!!!

Just looking at the charts for gold and silver demand what we are seeing here is some serious movement. Gold is almost at a new ATH, silver has a lot more room to grow, and BTC is staying steady in the 28k range.

I would urge all of you to not only continue making your daily sat buys but if you can hack it try to throw some gold and silver into the mix as well. Future outlook is looking a bit dicey on banks, BTC to the MOON! HODL ladies and gentlemen. Have yourself a great day I have to get back to work, but please comment and share!

Cheers,
