And the full results are:

With the main event being a banger and the other fights on the card finishing with TKOs, hard to say anything bad about this card. Hell, even the prelims were mostly finishes one way or another. But, being the devil's advocate here, or whatever you want to call it, but seeing Max take so much damage time and time again just makes me wonder about his long-term health.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 13, 2021, 07:13:25 PM
Oh, I wouldn't be so sure Nate wouldn't take that fight. He's not one to turn anyone down, and it worked and it didn't work before, so he's that kinda guy. But, this is a fight where he would be a huge underdog, and Chimaev would not gain anything with a win, so I don't really see a need for it. All this talk about Nates retirement, give him something fun, not a fucking bloodbath at the end.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 13, 2021, 08:30:47 AM
It's mostly about money for most people.

Why else would you put yourself through that?  These fighters are putting their health on the line.  Mike Tyson even said he used to cry before fights because of what he knew he was going to do to the other man in the ring.  He literally had a traumatizing moment before every fight that most kids today would probably be seeking PTSD medication for.  It isn't something he wanted to do or enjoyed.  He hated hurting people and talks about it quite openly nowadays.  Now that Mike has become a serious businessman and could use funds for investing in himself, this sort of fight is like a lifeline for him.  It better be about money, because I am a huge fan of Mike and want to see him have all the success in the world and for him, the future isn't in the boxing ring, it's in the boardroom.

But still, not all people are like Tyson, many differ very little from animals and, as you know, they love aggression, dominance over someone, etc. This is the dark side of human nature, but it cannot be denied. Yes, most likely, having come to the heights in most athletes, only adequate motives remain (the desire for money, prosperity, positive), but who knows what they were when they started their journey.

The thing is, when people do one thing for so long and experience highs like he has, they tend to seek that again and again throught their life. So the motivation here might not be money, or even the thrill of boxing, but just the pursuit of that feeling you get from the whole experience. That would make much more sense to me that him doing it just for the money.
864  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 12, 2021, 09:52:51 PM
I have to say I haven't seen much talk about a crash, rather two camps arguing about if we will have a bear market or if we are in a super cycle. I'll put out a crazy idea here, but I would say that you need more stability to ever experience a crash. Just my 2 cents.

Just read that Leon Edwards was promised a title fight after victory over Jorge Masvidal, as well as a solid pay cheque. Leon is on a good series of victories.

I think Leon will refuse any fight except against Masvidal, who, according to what Dana White said, we be back no sooner than January 2022. He will wait, because he dont want to lose an opportunity to get a title fight.

And he shouldn't accept anything else.

From a manager point of view, he should not accept any other opponent, if he was promised a title fight if he wins Masvidal. He has trained to fight against Masvidal, and fighting against others might cause him lose. A loss can cross his dream of becoming a champion. From a professional fighter point of view, a pause in career is always bad.

I am starting to feel somehow negative to Jorge Masvidal. He was an average fighter to me. His 5sec knockout of Ben Askren made Masvidal star. After that, it was a close fight against Diaz, and two losses to Usman. Since mid 2019, Masvidal havent achieved nothing big, or won a strong opponent. He barely fights.

yup, I have the same sentiment towards him. I'd argue that a second fight with Usman was super unnecessary and the made up BMF belt was just a laugh. I'd say he is still a solid fighter but kinda talked himself into bigger fights than he should have.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 12, 2021, 05:48:27 PM
Regarding the 'naturally paranoid' statement, I think you are on the money with that one, but it boils down to most of the BTC users being brought up in the earlier stages of the internet where there was little to no regulation and we have learned to become more suspicious, paranoid and aware of the dangers that the internet brings.
867  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: November 12, 2021, 03:37:21 PM
They might be declining, but they are still high and I doubt they will fall down to a point where it wouldn't be a good investment. The thing is, I don't see BTC is competing with real estate when it comes to investing. They both offer solid options depending on what your goals are. An to be fair, real estate has one up on BTC investing as you can use it for some time and not lose much on it, so that is a big factor for some people.

He will wait, because he dont want to lose an opportunity to get a title fight. Masvidal is the biggest star in top10 and fight against other will bring him a lesser cheque. Fighting against Chimaev (who agreed to fight on a short notice) might cause him loosing, meaning the dream of becoming UFC champ flies away.

And he shouldn't accept anything else. The Edwards-Masvidal narrative has been in the works for a while now, and even tho the enthusiasm has gone down a bit and would be significantly less than Covington-Masvidal, it's still a good storyline to capitalize on. This could be spun in an exciting main event fight. ANd I think he gets less out of a Chimaev fight and the risk is grater, than from the Masvidal fight.
869  Economy / Economics / Re: Big money after "sustainability" on: November 11, 2021, 09:35:38 PM
More general interest in BTC and in crypto will drive innovation forward. No reason to think that some improvements won't be possible in that area. The first solutions were implemented because they were the easiest and most cost-effective, but as BTC evolves, so will this. I'd say sustainable mining is one of the biggest obstacles that BTC is facing.
870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: November 11, 2021, 09:21:22 PM
I don't understand where they get the idea that that is even an option. I blame all the hype influencers that are honestly misleading people. They do more harm than good. Crypto should be treated as a social experiment and perhaps a way to boost up your home budget. Everything else is just fools gold.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 11, 2021, 04:28:00 PM
~

I think that Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards fight will re-scheduled. The card looks good without them. Adding Chimaev against Edwards will make the event cooler, but if I was Dana, I would have saved that ace (Chimaev) for another event.

Btw, professional boxing "super star" Jake Paul is opening his mouth on Chimaev Cheesy Do you think Jake is trying to seduce new UFC star (or milking cow) with money ? I know Chimaev is hungry for the fight, but I think his next opponent will be someone so-so from the top. Neil Magny or Michael Chiesa can be thrown on Chimaev. At least he deserves to be on their places in top.

Both Magney or Chiesa are doable fights for Chimaev, and Edwards Masvidal has been brewing for so long, I doubt they would scrap it just like that. As for Paul, he's just probing wherever ha can to see what sticks. That's it. Not much comes of most of his talk, I kinda think he already has opponents in mind and he's just playing an additional game.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 10, 2021, 11:08:13 AM
I kinda think that a lot of those types of investors have held BTC fir longer than we think, they just value the privacy of their investments more than shouting from the rooftops. I mean, more and more will start coming out with it, but it would be false to assume that all of them just now got to it. I don't know, just my 2 cents.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: Time to foot the bill on: November 10, 2021, 10:18:13 AM
I'd have to say that something like that is allready happening in my country. There is not a huge diference in pay between the public and the private sector, but it's still enough so that people tend to flock over to private. However, there is a percantage of workers that value publiv sector security over private sector volatility, even at the cost of having lower pay. That will not assure good public service, but I don't see them loosing workers anytime soon.
874  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you put away your arrogance? on: November 10, 2021, 10:09:04 AM
I'd have to agree to an extent on his 'BTC a religion' comment. Unfortunatelly, it sometimes looks that way and is in most cases prompted by influencers laying the whole thing a bit to thick. That's giving crypto a bad name. Not all of us are like that and not all of us are here for the same reasons, but those preachers are reciting the gospel of crypto like it's the best thing since sliced bread. But you have that in every field.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one can continue ignoring Bitcoin on: November 09, 2021, 09:24:01 PM
I seriously honestly doubt Rogan knows how the protocol works and he suddenly got into it because he found the time to research the tech. He's really well off and accepting payment of 100k in BTC could just be a curious endeavor of his, in the vein of 'eh, fuck it, let's see where this goes'. But still, that little comment will not make a serious impact on his listeners.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: Jefferies sells Gold to buy Bitcoin on: November 09, 2021, 09:15:30 PM
As optimistic for BTC future as this seems, I honestly just see it as serious investors diversifying their portfolio, as they have been doing for decades. I don't think they were ever anti-crypto in general, they were just dormant until things get going, and they are still early to the game. I mean, it's still a positive thing for BTC, but not really that big.
877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 09, 2021, 09:02:43 PM
I mean, I'll talk from a personal experience, but I personally also never experienced the dip so to say, because I invested and then waited for 2 years to even look at it. The name of the game is the long haul IMHO and that's where buying low or a bit higher makes no difference whatsoever, especially if you truly believe in your investment.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 09, 2021, 08:52:11 PM
@YuginKadoya. Agreed. Khamzat is presently now included in the top 10 in the rankings of the welterweight division. I speculate that he might be given an opportunity to fight Jorge Masvidal or Leon Edwards before given the opportunity to fight Kamaru.

Frankie Edgar was also leading the fight before he was transformed into a bored ape NFT. I was very disappointed.

Nothing to be disappointed about. Edgar put on a decent fight, comparable to his milage and age, I mean, the guy has been fighting top opponents since 2010, he's clearly over the hill and there is nothing bad about it. He gave his best in the fight but his best is not enough anymore. Time for Frankie to hang 'em up, time to pursue other avenues.

I was expecting much more activity from Colby Covington but he was careful with the way he approached the fight and it is because of the heavy hands of Kamaru Usman and he is entering the legends status with his reign in the division. I hope Khamzat Chimaev will be a good challenger for Kamaru Usman.

Both of them had a smarter approach to this fight compared to the first. It actually made for a better fight, and both showed how well they can adapt from fight to fight. Usman being the puncher that he is, still hadn't been able to take off Colby's head, and most of it was due to him not willing to expose himself to much just to get that flashy KO. Smart move.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency must adapt in schools/colleges curriculum on: November 07, 2021, 08:15:29 PM
If I am not mistaking, most modern education facilities do not offer any financial education at all. And I am not talking about Economics 101, I am talking about education relating day to day money handling, small investments, budget ballancing etc. So seeing we don't have even that, I don't think we can expect crypto adoption in our education systems. Not right now.
