I don't exactly know legislation about this, but have heard that you have to provide some document (driver's license, passport etc) with your date of birth.
862  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BITSTAMP.net Bitcoin exchange site for USD/BTC on: May 15, 2013, 04:11:25 PM

864  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 14, 2013, 09:21:45 PM
IMO, this isn't a problem as the profit is directly related with the winning odds. so, I won't care if I will have a chance of 50% of winning 1 unit or 1% of winning 99 units in the end of the draw.
May be some users will play these games, so I will consider it when have more free time.
865  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 14, 2013, 07:20:44 PM
I would like to see a new type of raffle where the owner will define the entry price, when the draw will occur, but with no limits of entries.
Do you want to create raffle without fixed number of tickets? If so, it is not possible because users won't know their winning odds.
866  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin prohibited in France without banking authorization? on: May 13, 2013, 09:23:08 PM
1)  they established new term: "établissements de monnaie électronique" = electronic-money institution? So I think it could concern Exchanges (hopefully there are no exchanges located in France)
I think is it EU-wide legislation, because we have similar law in Latvia. It affects only exchanges, no way ordinary users.
867  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin have what it takes to become a trillion dollar industry? on: May 13, 2013, 02:00:01 AM
My odds about Bitcoin market cap

10B - 90% ($0/BTC otherwise)
50B - 50%
100B - 20%
>200B - 5%
868  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Daily Bitcoins new ad system - 0.01 BTC bonus! on: May 12, 2013, 09:22:18 PM
Is like puppy-adds ?
PuppyTwist uses Cost Per Click (CPC) model, while we offer pay per day scheme. It is more fair IMHO as creates no incentive to artificially boost number of clicks.

I did not see a place to enter my BTC address when I sign up so I signed up without leaving my address.
How do I get the 0.01 BTC ?
I have added bonus to your account. Please check balance.
869  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going on? Trading volume is so low! on: May 12, 2013, 03:31:30 PM
then the price of Bitcoins will drop to the cost in electricity for ASIC miners.
Don't forget about cost of the ASICs itself, they are far from be cheap and have no other use besides Bitcoin mining!
870  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Daily Bitcoins new ad system - 0.01 BTC bonus! on: May 12, 2013, 02:46:27 PM
Is the 0.01 BTC bonus still being offered ?
Yes, this offer is still active.
871  Economy / Speculation / Re: *[POLL]* Whats the trend right now SELL BUY or HOLD on: May 12, 2013, 04:43:39 AM
Back a few months ago when bitcoin was just 10 dollars... I wonder if the amount of people investing in bitcoin now is 10 times that amount then maybe it isn't so overvalued after all?
1. Bitcoin at $10 was significantly undervalued.
2. Inflation rate (reward per block) halved few months before rally started.

These reasons make $10/BTC impossible again (of course if no major negative fundamentals like SHA-256 break or MtGox closed by govt).
872  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why are people so eager to pay tax? on: May 12, 2013, 03:57:55 AM
If you think the tax is too high, then live some where else really.
If some considerable amount of rich people will decide to leave home country due to high taxes, its government can start imposing 20..30..50...% expatriation tax on all assets.
Some totalitarian govts could even try to ban to emigrate altogether IMHO.
873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Apparently PayPal can no longer be used to buy/sell Bitcoin mining hardware on: May 12, 2013, 03:25:38 AM
Try to tell them you are selling not Bitcoin mining rig but a SHA-256 hashing device. Formally, this does not breaks their rules! Grin
874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions for the next bubble on: May 11, 2013, 11:07:24 PM
It will eat away at bitcoin's market share and prove the point that there's nothing special, magic or "gold-like" about the current chain. The crypto periodic table has an infinite number of elements, and the scarcity can be customized at will: fixed number, exponential increase, just one etc. And if it's scarce, easy to transport and well distributed, then it's money. Litecoin will inflate Bitcoin, it's already a practical crypto that you can use instead of Bitcoin for many things: buy drugs on Atlantis, store in a cold wallet, send fiat around the world with high privacy etc.
The same way Litecoin can be inflated by other cryptocurrencies. Feathercoin does this already IMHO.

Bitcoin have supreme advantage over all other cryptocurrencies - higher security (due to higher network hash rate) and ASICs. Just think, which currency large investors will prefer? I very doubt that Litecoin Grin!
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bear Market is on....Red candles still haunt my dreams on: May 11, 2013, 11:00:31 PM
The market will internalize all news way before they take effect or even before you hear the news and have the opportunity to act on it.
This is true for real-world markets, but Bitcoin lives in alternative universe Cheesy
876  Economy / Speculation / 51% attack and BTC price on: May 11, 2013, 09:47:49 PM
Just interesting, how much BTC price will fall if 2 largest mining pools will be hacked and double spend performed?
