861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you promote Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2018, 03:05:49 AM
I stopped doing that.

I tried to bring here a lot of people to invest on bitcoin, or just to get introduced on cryptocurrencies, but it had no effect after all.

The price plummeted, and i felt ashamed for telling them that it was kind of a "safe" investment and a good way to keep your funds.

Other than simple word of mouth, explaining blockchain, crypto and more specifically bitcoin then there is not much that I do. Nowadays most have heard of bitcoin so it's more of an explaining exercise, the potential benefits etc.
through proof of success can represent a complex and lengthy explanation, because some people want to see results rather than processes, explaining bitcoin is very difficult because most people are still very unfamiliar with something that is not real, so proof is indeed the best way.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: December 04, 2018, 02:57:34 AM
But in that case, every account owner has the "identity" so it would not matter at all. The problem is that is more than difficult to regulate something like this to be a bank.

It is like creating a bank with digital vouchers or something like points for a game, only that in this case, bitcoins have an intrensic value.

But in the end it is totally the same

This kind of thinking is too advanced, and it is meaningless to establish a bank in Bitcoin. Who would have the courage to give it bitcoin? What if the bank insists that it has not received it?
I have the same question, isn't the bitcoin owner anonymous? Whereas transactions in banks like conventional must have an identity? But I believe that can be realized if there is a change or modification of bitcoin so that an established bank can follow the rules in the country where the bank is located. Because bank regulations are different from bitcoin.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in 2018 December. on: December 04, 2018, 02:22:05 AM
That is the same that i was thinking, all the icos that took place during this year are all crashed, most of them went down by more than 80 - 70 percent of their initial price.

I even saw a coin that went 98% down from the crowdsale price.

I can not even understand how the real investors are feeling at this moment with that kind of loss..

I can't believe these titles are open. 2018 did not yield an ICO at all. They all hurt. In 2019, the situation will not be different.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does technical analysis work with crypto? on: December 04, 2018, 02:14:02 AM
Are you serious? Technical analysis has been used several times before to predict a bunch of reactions about the price, not talking about altcoins, i am reffering to bitcoin.

It is almost impossible to use TA with low volume altcoins (less than a dozen of millions) so yes, in this case, you are right with that.

I've been thinking about starting to learn how to read charts and do some technical analysis for myself. The problem is I see it ridiculed on pretty much every forum and people saying it's useless for crypto.

What are your thoughts? Worthwhile?
It is very useful for crypto. especially in margin trading. You need to have a good knowledge of technical analysis to predict its price will increase or decrease in a short period of time.
In a cryptocurrency, by and large, technical analysis does not work. Here, the volumes of real trading are not so large that there is genuine technical analysis.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make Bitcoin Great Again on: December 04, 2018, 01:38:33 AM
Yea and we all know that, this isn't something new after all, we all know that the social media is like a third power in here, and it can do anything.

And bitcoin has been heavily influentiated by the social media, including the press, and many other sources that pushed the price down and created a huge fud.

Ah, dude common!  try to be more optimistic you have any idea of the power of social media and social content? good news can raise the prices and bad news can overthrow governments
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull market soon? Or a trap? 🤔 on: December 03, 2018, 05:59:10 AM
Pure manipulation.. and i think that this will continue for some time, they are still trying to short bitcoin as much as they can and i think that it will finally happen.

They want to make as much money as possible, and then close the short positions to start pumping it again.

Recent growth is bull trap! Look how many longs are on Bitmex and soon they will close their long to take profit, after this we will go again to the 3000 level Cool.
867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tom Lee lowered his prediction to $15k hehehe on: December 03, 2018, 05:34:26 AM
He is not relevant anymore, i still remember those times when every clown was saying "bitcoin will go to $xxx" and people was believing on that.

Nowadays, people are not stupid anymore, they do not believe on all those accusations anymore, they just buy or sell, and nothing more.

to be honest i wouldn't have changed my prediction if i were him. mainly because the current drop is not because of logical reasons such as previous times (bubble burst, correction, ...) it is purely FUD based and panic of BCash fork which means it is not natural so if he thought price is going to be $25k then since nothing has changed, his prediction shouldn't have changed either. although it is still pretty weird that he made that prediction but that is another discussion.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: most of miners are shutting down their gigs? on: December 03, 2018, 05:22:33 AM
Yes, they were selling the copper on kilograms.

But it is not because it is not profitable anymore, you did not read well. They are just doing that with the old equipment, not the new one.

That notice was badwritten, and it confused a lot of people already

I heard recently that some miners were selling their rigs at scrap metal prices to try to make up for losses, as mining was becoming/had become non-profitable. If true, of course, it doesn't mean all miners, and it could be that they were only scrapping certain machines, like older models. In of itself, I don't think this spells the "end" of Bitcoin... if it was happening on a massive scale, and prices continued to drop, it could be a contributing factor to some negative effect, but not the only component, and not (necessarily) the end.

The Cyberius team.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin bankruptcy on: December 03, 2018, 05:09:29 AM
Yeah he is probably another newbie that is just starting, or another guy that bought high and he is now regreting about that.

I still do not understand why so many people are buying bitcoins for then complaining, it is just like buying gold just for holding for less than a few months.

decentralized currency. feels like freedom but really feels like bankruptcy. down 4000$ this week. hard earn money gone. last two months suppose to be a bull run the signs are everywhere. how did it tank . so sad . the dip keeps on dipping. when u btfd but it betrayed u. not sure how the upcoming recession is going to react to bitcoin. sounds like 4500 a bitcoin. sounds like getting rekt sum more.

It is clearly that you don't know about bitcoin history from the past years.
If you see the bitcoin price history in the market, it has crashing countless times, but always come back to the higher price.
I won't call this is the bankruptcy of bitcoin just because this bear market, just wait and see for btc to be corrected back to normal price.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICOs on: December 02, 2018, 10:59:43 PM
This is one of the reasons of why i stopped investing on icos, they are not profitable anymore and there are thousands of them at the moment.

It is not by the way that it used to be on 2017, every case was unique, and not just another copy cat for making the same.

It is very difficult to find a good ICO. In addition to the forum, there are many ICO projects. These projects usually have their own marketing team. They may belong to the ICO within the country and are not ready to explore the international market. But I think investing in ICO is not a good idea right now.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum has begun to show positive trends on: December 02, 2018, 10:48:12 PM
Yeah but BAKKT has been postponed, and no one knows when it will launch for the first time. Some people say at Q1 of 2019, or even Q2.

I think that this is going to show a good uptrend, but we are not sure about how the market is going to be on those times.

For me, currently ETH does not look much better than other top coins. To say that the etherreum has some much more attractiveness than other top coins could be if Vitalik Buterin could fulfill promises about POS.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Crisis Will Come on: December 02, 2018, 10:35:54 PM
Well i think that the next financial crisis is going to happen sooner than what we all think.

Every 10 - 12 years there is a new one, maybe it can be a little one, or a big, big one, but it all depends on how things are being managed.

I hope that we won't lose anything this time

the financial crisis, the government has anticipated all the possibilities that could cause the financial crisis to happen again. So far, the government has strengthened a number of factors.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: G20 & CRYPTOCURRENCIES on: December 02, 2018, 10:25:28 PM
In fact, cryptocurrencies are far away from bringing good things to a country economy, so please, stop spreading shit because that is a nonsense.

It is obvious that they want to regulate it as much as possible, and i agree with them unless that they start putting ridiculous taxes over us.

I think G20 started to think there is something good that cryptocurrency could bring in financial system. I do think they concern about the regulations is a positive things and it could encourage more people to invest in cryptocurrency. Regulations is important and it will help build trust and also act as a protections for investors.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: December 02, 2018, 10:17:49 PM
Ethereum is crap. And ripple is a huge crap.

They both are crappy coins, ethereum has only usage for smart contracts, while Ripple is just pure speculation.

Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency in where i would put my funds, not on any of those pure speculative coins.

Ripple is no better than Ethereum. I don’t know exactly why they swapped places for capitalization, but I think that Ripple is an excellent tool for market manipulation and there’s no value behind it. Unlike Ethereum ...
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoin worth investing? on: December 02, 2018, 09:57:02 PM
It is not profitable anymore, just invest in the altcoins that are going to release news on the upcoming days and that is it.

It is not profitable no more, take a look at the charts, they are just going down and down.

For zero-risk takers, the best thing to do is to have a stable USD coin, and then move to alts when there is gonna be good news about X coin.

Of course yes! It depends upon the altcoin we choose to invest. Because there are many altcoins that exist in the market without any development or product. They just want to fool the people from their astonishing whitepaper. That is why we need to be careful when selecting the right altcoins.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is NEO is a sleeping giant or not??? on: December 02, 2018, 09:47:43 PM
This.

Also neo was very hyped last year, and this is what caused the inflation on the price, so i do not think that we are gonna see +100 bucks per neo again.

It is a dead coin now, it has almost no usage, also, there aren't any new startups using NEO's protocol.

Neo and Ethereum will soon have a lot of competitors, so I would not bet on neo.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not buy Ethereum on: December 02, 2018, 09:39:11 PM
And how are you so sure about this? All what i have been seeing and listening to about Ethereum were fake promises, and nothing more than that.

I am starting to get tired about it, and if the price goes up, it is just pure manipulation like it has been since the beggining.

Ethereum has no future anymore

i will buy ethereum and bitcoin, but if i have to choose, i will buy bitcoin .. because i know the main one is bitcoin in crypto
Many peoples are wrongly understand the crypto pump because altcoins only vastly raise in the market but bitcoin is the base of the coins so this will also pump. The right way is bitcoin will move 2x raise in future and ethereum will move 2.5x raise in future so Ethereum is best profitable investment in longterm.
878  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you feel about market regulation? on: December 02, 2018, 09:32:23 PM
everything should be regulated to avoid scams.

This is normal, like in every market, it should be regulated (currencies, bonds, properties, anything that can be traded *bought or sold*)

And if it is not regulated, then it should not be open for everybody.

Crypto was made like anti-real money
All real money regulated
And now, the market just need regulation of scam, not all this field
that would be the perfect goal, but how would this work in practice rather in theory?
879  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-29] Bitcoin Price Could Bottom as Early as December [But Definitely by on: December 02, 2018, 09:25:51 PM
I think that we will see another drop, but that will be the final drop. Maybe we won't see $2800, but less than $3500 is highly possible.

I am optimistic, i want to buy as much as possible if there is another drop on the price, and i think that we all need to do the same to cut-off average.

Forecasts are very disappointing. If by February of next year Bitcoin drops in price to $ 2,800 and pulls the entire cryptocurrency with it, there will be a great distrust of cryptocurrency. It is even difficult to imagine what period of time after that will be needed to restore the cryptocurrency market. It would be better if such a forecast did not come true.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money on: July 21, 2018, 08:22:44 PM
It should only be regulated in order to avoid scams, nothing more than that. But i do not like to see bitcoin regulated, normal people should not be paying taxes, but it depends on every country
