Chelsea are trying to make their ideal squad. but Osimhen I don't think I will go to Chelsea. Moreover, recently social media reported that Napoli's owner made a statement that only PSG could afford Osimhen.
but if Osimhen went to Ligue 1 it would be a real shame. Competition between clubs there is not good because PSG has always been monopolized. it would be great for Osimhen to go to the Premier League. but not at Chelsea.

Osimhen would do just fine in the premier league, and I think irrespective of the club he plays at, he would definitely make his impact felt by scoring goals or creating chances for others to score.
If Osimhen ends up playing for PSG, he would still perform really well. Although, It would be interesting seeing him play in the premier league as that’s mostly where the action is. There is still some form of competition in the Ligue 1 but not much as PSG has won all but two league trophies from the 2014-2015 season till date. I would like to see him in a Manchester United jersey if he ever comes to the Premier League.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 11, 2023, 02:02:35 PM
I think one of the conditions for Pochettino was that if he wants to buy new players, he must first sell those who he does not need, so he will have a sufficient budget for which he can buy the necessary players. I expected Pochettino to start buying, we need good players like Osinhem, this can significantly increase Chelsea's attack, because it was one of the weakest lines for Potter and Lampard. There is not so much left before the start of the season, in a month there will be the first round, and new players still need time to adapt to the team.

Well, I think it’s pretty obvious. You would need to let go of players that aren’t in your vision for the plans you’ve got and bring in players capable of fulfilling your vision and goals for the club. Having those players off your payroll would also be a plus to your budget.
I think a player like Osimhen would fit in just fine in the premier league. And he may just be the rabbit foot Chelsea desperately needs at the moment as I too think he could significantly increase Chelsea’s chances of scoring goals and winning games.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: July 08, 2023, 11:59:52 PM

Of all the consequences, these are the least dangerous , I have seen cases where the person even kills himself, others are lucky that a family member or friend arrives until the last moment and saves them from committing suicide , the game turns them crazy, but of course it's not the game , it's their very way of seeing things and not being able to do anything about it , we must have the willpower to say no to any adversit y, if a person sees that they have lost control Adding to being addicted , he has to pinch himself and realize that he is not leading to anything good, for that reason, logic is what makes any player go into the abyss or save himself from what can happen to him.

Those cases where addiction drives someone into committing suicide are really extreme cases. Perhaps when there are huge loans to pay and there is obviously no means of paying them back. When the bank is being owed and coming for the collateral initially put down for the loan, along with some loan sharks who would break bones to get their money back, that would make anyone get depressed enough to push such individual to take their own life.

The willpower of an individual matters a lot to be able to be able to overcome any addiction. The individual must have made a conscious decision to quit and stick to that decision. Like I’ve mentioned earlier, support from family and friends would go a long way in helping an addict leave such habit.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 07, 2023, 06:11:05 PM
Myspace was once like that allowing NSFW until social media was used in politics and there goes myspace whacked.  Threads will probably be used to censor topics just like what Twitter was before Elon took over. There are powerful people behind Zuckerberg launching to counter Twitter. They wanna grab the attention and not allow people to watch Tucker Carlson on Twitter.

As for this fight to happen, it really might not happen at all. Musk has much to do.

The fight was definitely not going to happen anyway as both men, Elon and Mark probably has much to do than to get into the ring and throw punches at each other.
I’m curious on who you think want to stop people from watching Tucker on Twitter. Would they take away your devices and literally stop you from watching him? Tucker is free to say whatever on Twitter and if people chose not to listen, would you say he’s being censored? He’s also free to open an account on Threads lol. He should obey their TOS if he does register.
Also, you claim twitter censored posts before Elon took over. Perhaps, if those posts didn't violate any of the terms, then they wouldn’t have been censored. Hate, misinformation and outright lies shouldn’t be allowed or encouraged on any platform.
865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't consider yourself lucky on: July 07, 2023, 01:44:20 PM

The basis of any fraud is greed. And when someone sees that he has a chance to make a profit without making his own efforts for this, he forgets about security. Of course, the right decision would be to just pass by if you don't have the moral right to this profit.

Yes, greed is in most cases the factor that lures people to put their money into shady business proposals with unbelievable amounts in profits within a very short time. The greed in people is what would initially cloud any sense of reasoning until the scam is done and the person starts thinking straight again.

There are always people who looks out for the easy way out. They would want to make ridiculous amounts in profits without putting in efforts of their own. These are the type of people who would receive a text or an email stating a cash prize has been won and would go ahead to try to claim such a prize knowing fully well they didn’t enter into any contest to win any prize. Such persons would easily fall prey to fraud.
866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The relationship between educational qualification and quality of post. on: July 07, 2023, 11:34:11 AM
Do you think the level of academic qualifications and life experience that a member of forum has, has a direct influence on the quality of post that  he/she makes here on this forum?
Do you feel users who are known to be quality posters in various boards are individuals with high educational qualifications and vast experience.

I think the academic qualifications a person has would somewhat influence the level and the quality of the posts made on here. For someone from an English speaking country, you do not need an education to be able to speak and write English. But you do need some education in order to know how to write those words properly and be coherent in his written thoughts.
I think quality posters may not always be individuals with high academic qualifications(although a whole lot are highly educated) but are surely individuals with vast knowledge and experience.
867  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: July 07, 2023, 10:31:49 AM
I agree, but make sure that if you will buy land or any properties in real estate it is clean with title and all the docs. Owning a land is a very good investment and everybody love to have it but not all the people can afford it, those who have more than enough can get those things. But for me if I will buy a land I will buy a land that I can farm and I can produce some fruits or veg.

Well, not just with land. If you want to purchase anything that’s worth spending your money on, it’s very important you do your due diligence if you don’t want to end up getting scammed out of your money.
Land is no doubt a good investment idea but like you noted, not everyone could afford to purchase and own it although a whole lot would love to have it. Having a piece of land where you could grow some crops and vegetables is nice. You could grow crops for your personal consumption and you could sell some as well to make some extra money.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 07, 2023, 07:34:10 AM
European clubs made offers to Roberto Firmino. For example: I read last month in a speculation that Real Madrid wants to strengthen its forward by transferring Brazilian star forward Roberto Firmino. Or I read last month in a speculation thatRoberto Firmino was on Galatasaray's agenda. Roberto Firmino chose the Al Ahli team.

Firmino has been coming to the saudi. In this vidio, he has been getting so many anthusiasm from al ahli fans since he was officially joining the club.

https://twitter.com/centregoals/status/1677020228373340175

Firmino has been taking the right decision. Al ahli as a new team promoted to the SPL has been making some impressive movements. It's started from mendy and now firmino.
The club can be one of potential club to compete with some powerful clubs in SPL like al ittihad, nassr and hilal. Im really happy he was picking to join in al ahli rather than going to the galatasaray.

Ahli gave him better offer than galatasaray. He is now getting a new home for several years later. I hope that al ahli will able to buy more european players to be transferred to the club. I can't wait firmino's performance with al ahli.

I guess when you’re no longer as relevant as you used to be and perhaps the competition is starting  to get to you as more younger players who are also more fit comes into the scene. It would be a good idea to play in a less competitive league. Obviously, the money is a really good motivation to move over to the Saudi league where there is less competition as in the premier league.
I think in the coming years, the Saudi league would see more influx of European players who would either want to play in a less competitive environment or/ is drawn in by money.
Good luck for Firmino as he furthers his career over at Al Ahli. Although I would miss seeing him in a Liverpool jersey.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 07, 2023, 06:39:23 AM
I think it's too early for Eden Hazard to finish his career. The option with Inter Miami on the one hand can revive his career, but on the other hand, it can extinguish it altogether. With all due respect to MLS, this is not exactly the place where extinct stars could restart their careers. If Hazard wants to play in Europe, then he should choose a club from Europe. If there are no plans to return, but there is only a desire to continue playing football and at the same time earn more money, then the United States and Saudi Arabia are at his service.

I thought so as well. It’s too early for Hazard to put an end to his football career. And yes, the option to play with Inter Miami could bring about the spark that has been slowly diminishing or snuff it out entirely. And the major league soccer is a league where I would say top players from other leagues would go to retire after playing competitive football in their respective leagues.
If he truly does desire to continue playing which I think he does, he should consider his options which may not be a lot. The Saudis would probably want him and would pay well to have him.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 07, 2023, 06:24:24 AM
Man City are the only contenders for the first place in the EPL... Last season, Arsenal managed to surprise everyone, but no miracle happened and they couldn't win the league... Apart from Man U and Liverpool, now there is Newcastle who are showing great results and even managed to finish in fourth place... I think next season the battle for the title will be just as interesting...

Manchester City in my opinion aren’t the only contenders to win the premier league trophy in the upcoming season. They’re in top form and are probably favorites to win but there are other clubs that could be considered as equally strong contenders for the trophy.
Arsenal can not be underestimated as they’ve been prepping hard and getting ready for the next season. They surely don’t want to make the same mistakes made in the previous season. Also Manchester United is also preparing for the next season and I think they, along with Newcastle are clubs to watch out for.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 06, 2023, 11:59:25 PM
There are many young players available, but Manchester United is searching for a quality goalkeeper who can perform and confidently step in for De Gea.
Onana, the goalkeeper, is still young and active at the age of 27. He won't soon lose the determination to be a good goalkeeper, in my opinion.
If Manchester United can afford the 60 million euros Inter Milan is asking for, they should try to sign him. He merits the cost.

Onana would be great for Manchester United and I believe he would be a perfect replacement for De Gea. He has been really active and a solid shot stopper that is relied upon by his teammates.
Hopefully, the deal would be in Manchester United’s favor as they do need a dependable goalie like Onana. De Gea has already played his part for the team and now, it’s time for someone else.
Everyone is prepping and getting ready for the next season. It’s going to be a really interesting one. Eagerly anticipating the next season.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: July 06, 2023, 11:49:01 PM

On the other hand, borrowing for survival is sometimes the only way forward. At this point there's no real option but to extend the timeline and try to figure out a way with the additional time.

Borrowing for survival is not a good way forward. I don’t even see it as a way not less the only way forward. If an individual borrows for survival, then that individual would probably not survive for long. No reputable financial institution would lend such a person due to extremely low or no credit score. The person would then be forced to borrow from an alternate source that would not be so patient or understanding when coming to collect the repayment of the loan.
Not a good idea to keep on borrowing to survive.

874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 06, 2023, 10:49:01 PM
Inter Miami's interest in Eden Harzard I think doesn't have much things concerning the player's fitness or what he can offer to the club on the pitch rather I think they want to sign him because of the global publicization his arrival will bring to the club.
Eden Harzard's career is currently in decline and he has confessed to the media that it won't be possible to see him deliver great performances like in his days at Chelsea. Of a truth he'll be a good signing for the club but probably not on the pitch

Hazard moving over to the club would obviously bring in some extra publicity to the club and perhaps they may be looking for some publicity. But I still think he has other things to bring to the club aside publicity. No doubt, his performance is declining and he’s not as good as he used to be.
It definitely would not be possible to see him in top form like he was at Chelsea, but he could still bring in some zing to his game on the pitch. Also, competitive football witnessed in Real Madrid and the Spanish league definitely won’t be same in Inter Miami so I think he won’t be struggling to find a place in the squad if he makes the move.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 06, 2023, 09:47:02 PM
The problem I have is that even though they are the current Premier League champions, that does not guarantee they will win the trophy next season. The majority of people are judging the next season based on this [last season]. Guardiola has been a great coach for some time and has built himself, and they actually did maintain stability. Even though I don't support Manchester City, I was still astonished by their performance, as did everyone else. Winning three trophies was just incredible, but I'm confident that it won't happen again the following year.

Manchester City being the current EPL Champion surely doesn’t guarantee they would lift the trophy again next season. I wouldn’t fault people who are judging from last season’s performance.
You as well as lots of others were astonished by their performance last season so perhaps you could understand a bit why people are judging this upcoming season from last season’s performance. Manchester City put up a very impressive performance and were consistent as well as confident as they went on to win the champions league trophy.
I think It’s still too early to tell if they could defend the title and go ahead to win it again this upcoming season. They would face a whole lot of challenges from other teams who are seriously prepping themselves for the next season.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 06, 2023, 08:52:19 PM
In no way can Leo Messi be compared to Eden Hazard; seeing the indisputable GOAT in football is a privilege, whereas witnessing Eden Hazard slide from the top to the bottom is shocking. Eden Hazard is a complete flop, and I have no reason to believe he will ever return to his original magnificence. Many players have reached their limit of uneven form, most likely owing to injury. Inter Miami adding Eden Hazard to their roster would be a huge loss for them because he's no longer fit for league games, which is why Real Madrid terminated his contract.

I’m curious on how you arrived at the conclusion that I was comparing Hazard to Messi. If you must know, I wasn’t comparing both players. Both players are very good but in my opinion, Messi is obviously the better of the two and I wasn’t in any way comparing them.
I don’t think Hazard could be considered a total flop. He’s not as good as he used to be and obviously cannot return to his original magnificence as you say. But even Messi can not be in almost perfect form like he used to. No one can.
I also don’t think it would be a total loss for Inter Miami if they bring Hazard in. No matter how much of a flop you may think Hazard is, he would still play better than most players in Inter Miami.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 06, 2023, 03:20:13 PM
Hazard is injured too often, and that must be considered by Inter Miami if you want to sign him. after Messi and Busquets were successfully brought in, now Hazard is a player that is being targeted. but we know how he gets injured very often. and even then it can be a loss for the team if it happens too often.
but pairing Hazard with Messi seems like a good strategy. this might work to change the team to dominate this season. because I'm not sure Hazard will be able to play consistently for several seasons. because he is very often to injury.

I think Hazard is an amazing player despite suffering injuries. Inter Miami would have surely known that and still wants him among their ranks. I wouldn’t call it a loss for Inter Miami if they decide to go through with bringing in Hazard into the squad as Hazard, in my opinion can still deliver.
While he may not be able to consistently play, I think he could very well still make an impact in the club. And paired with Messi, it would be almost like a walk in the park for him. Besides the MLS isn’t as competitive as the premier league or the Spanish league so I think Hazard would do just fine if he makes the move.
878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you start your posting life as a newbie??? only for full mem, Sr and leg on: July 02, 2023, 11:59:18 PM
I think the op should edit this post and allow every one irrespective of their rank to also contribute since there's no much difference between the op and the other ranks which are not allowed to contribute on this topic.

Aside the OP being of a lower rank like the same members he thinks he doesn’t need opinions from, I think the opinions of everyone( including the low ranked members)at the very least deserves a listen. Newbies could share their thoughts and opinions and someone could learn from it.
I think the OP should be more open to reading and learning from the thoughts and opinions of everyone irrespective of their ranks as we could learn from literally anyone on here. No one knows it all and as surprising as it may seem to some members, some newbies are knowledgeable and have lots to share.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 02, 2023, 11:39:35 PM
The chance for arsenal to win EPL is zero at this moment.  Cheesy

I just said based on the reality, has you ever seen arsenal win EPL trophy? I meant look at how arsenal always consistently failed to win it even though the club already tried so hard to win it. I will not believe arsenal will able to win EPL.
I prefer to bet on liverpool or another team instead of arsenal soon. There will be no change and city gonna win EPL again next season. Manchester city has very strong motivation to create a new record by winning treble again for second time in a row.
Why are you saying if city has no motivation at this moment? i guess you are wrong about that, Even city was buying some important players as preparation for upcoming season.
That's enough to call that city has good motivation to keep its position again next season as a winner in three competitions in a row.

Perhaps, it’s still too early to conclude Arsenal having a zero percent chance of winning the Premier League title next season. Don’t you think? Besides, if Arsenal has never won the EPL trophy before, that doesn’t mean they could not win it someday. I think all clubs playing in the league and for the title, stand a chance of winning the title even if the chances of some are much higher than others.

Arsenal was a strong contender last season and would only learn from the mistakes made in the last season and make sure not to repeat such mistakes. I think that makes them a stronger opponent to watch out for next season.
I think it may very well be a hard task for Arsenal to win the EPL trophy cause there are equally strong and perhaps stronger opponents vying for the trophy as well. It won’t be a walk in the park, that’s for sure.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: July 02, 2023, 11:04:42 PM
if there is a gambling addict who admits that he is addicted realistically the gambler is a little easier to be given advice to immediately go to treat his addiction to live a more comfortable life without gambling addiction. but it's not that easy sometimes you have to have a lot of support like family, friends and medicine to calm your mind. with some of this support it will certainly provide faster opportunities for gambling addicts to recover soon.

An addict admitting to an addiction is already on the path to recovery. Once the addict realizes that he’s hooked and addicted onto something and admits it to someone else, then I think that addict is open and perhaps ready to give up the addiction and strive for a turnaround in life.
And yes, it’s not an easy task for both the addict and his/her family. The addict would require a lot of care, support and a whole lot of understanding from family and friends but in a lot of cases, that required love, support and understanding isn’t there to aid the addict on the road to recovery and the addict ends up falling back to the addiction destroying whatever progress that has been achieved.
