865  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin halving to increase cryptocurrencies prices. on: February 23, 2020, 08:41:34 PM
I see that you are a newbie in this forum so that's why I want to offer you a precious advice if you decide to take it:

Do not take anything for granted in the markets and don't "expect" things to happen. Always measure things in terms of probabilities. Bitcoin halving might be priced in or maybe institutional investors will want to engineer more liqudity for themselves so they'll drive the price down. You never know who are the participants in the market exactly so why would you be "SURE" that the price will raise?
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outdated, Loves Ethereum on: February 23, 2020, 02:58:14 PM
I don't know why people still believe in what McAfee says. At least for me his credibility is at all-time-lows level.

There are a lot of distractions in the world and a lot more in crypto. The ones who know when and where to focus will be the winners. Don't listen to other people's opinions, but make your own dilligence instead.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons talks about Cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2020, 12:02:42 PM
I highly doubt that they know who Satoshi is - probably just a marketing gimmick..

It's great that cryptocurrencies is featured in a classic cartoon that many Americans and not only, have emotional attachment to. Overall it is a simple explanation of how crypto works and I think it should be kept this way. Most people are not technically-driven although they should be!
868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You,as a trader,what do you think of Nootropics? on: February 23, 2020, 11:30:46 AM
I support the idea that we as humans don't need stimulating drugs unless we have some kind of disease.
With good sleep(8 hours) I can perform very well even if my day is full with activities. A coffee here and there when I feel a little bit tired - not all mornings all perfect - actually is quite the opposite.

This is my advice to a trader/aspiring trader. Get good sleep, exercise and meditate and of course only begin trading if you are passionate about it.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 0.28 bitcoin to be in the 1% of richest bitcoin holder on: February 23, 2020, 09:41:15 AM
Then I only need a few more Bits to be part of the richest Bitcoin holder.
I am a bit curious on how many people are already part of it?
It seem's like a small amount so I wonder how many people have that amount on their wallet.

You might wanna have a look on the Bitcoin rich list - bitinfocharts offers great insight into it.
Looks like the Huobi cold wallet holds 1.40% of the total supply - quite crazy if you think about it. If they would be scammers they could just access the wallets and sell them at market price thus dumping the price like a rock from a mountain top.

You can also see there a nice Bitcoin distribution table so you know how much more Bitcoin you need to advance to the next rank.  Wink
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Galaxy S20 Smart Phone will Support Bitcoin, Ethereum and TRON on: February 23, 2020, 07:34:50 AM
Personally I wouldn't use any crypto wallet that is not open-source and auditable. There are much better choices in the market that work on mobile as well. Samsung's initiative is good for adoption though as the wallet will attract a huge amount of eyeballs. Maybe I'd use its wallet but only for pocket change and coffee shop type of transactions.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for crypto holders to complete a paid interview on: February 22, 2020, 09:34:54 PM
Unless the traders are looking for exposure and you have the ability to offer them that, I don't think you will find people with 'actual' experience with "hodling" for 10 DAI/interview.
The interview takes 30 minutes? I'm sorry to say it but that's definitely a very low amount to reward such an effort. Some people earn more than that from the signature campaigns tbh + you're looking for specific people with knowledge/experience in DeFi and crypto which should be remunerated accordingly.

872  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoronavirus - Virus outbreak strategy game with Bitcoins on: February 22, 2020, 09:30:59 PM
A ponzi scheme designed in form of a catastrophic-themed game. Isn't that ingenious?  Cheesy
I really don't approve this kind of schemes where the people at the pyramid top make all the big bucks, while the last entered always end up with nothing. It would be another thing if you could come up with a an actual product with real value in it.

At least you placed it in the gambling section of the forum so people should expect that they will lose their money.
873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interesting fact: When Bitcoin reaches $100 000... on: February 22, 2020, 06:14:50 PM
Bitcoin will reach $100,000 if no black swan will show up I personally have no doubt about that. Just taking into account the limited supply and the increasing demand for it + I'm sure there is a number of units being lost on a daily basis due to people misusing or losing their wallets.

Looking forward to the day when we'll reach $100k..champagnes are ready haha
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My top 7 exchanges for trading on: February 22, 2020, 01:38:25 PM
They are pretty much on my top exchanges list as well. Although Binance is the best one in terms of fees and features I would concomitently use multiple ones just to spread the risk.

Kraken is the one inspiring more confidence as it it more regulated as far as I know.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 22, 2020, 01:15:55 PM
I don't think games are a good tool for educating adults about new concepts, they are time-consuming and distracting. You could use them to teach kids, but why would you want to teach kids about Bitcoin in the first place, it's not like they will be using it till they grow up.

Adults play games to relax and have fun, and educational games generally have poor gameplay, so I can't imagine such game being popular.

I don't agree with you. Games are one of the most powerful ways to actually conceptualize new things. I believe there were few studies made that proven that learning gamification is better than just scanning through some text or listen to lectures.

Also why do we need to stop playing games if we're adults?
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin for Every Currency on: February 22, 2020, 01:06:20 PM
Stable-coins pegged to a fiat curency is not going to solve the world economic and social problems. The governments will still print money on-demand. Stable coins are pretty much like using electronic currency through the bank, only it is more decentralized.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ⚡Bitcoin and Ethereum's Energy Consumption⚡ on: February 22, 2020, 10:51:17 AM
My take on this matter is very simple and I'm sure that everyone with a vision will agree with me. Energy is not a non-regenerable resource. Fortunately it is abundant in our world and we should leverage it as much as possible. While I don't agree with producing energy from fossil fuels, we have all the green energy production systems which are more fiable than fossil fuels in many areas. And I do think in 5-10 years the majority of energy produced will be green energy so I wouldn't worry too much about how much energy is the Bitcoin network consuming, although it is a good thing that people are coming with solutions like LN.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: February 22, 2020, 09:01:22 AM
Gambling addiction and compulsive gambling are serious problems in our days indeed. People literally lose their lives by giving themselves away to the vice of gambling.
Now don't get me wrong, gambling is not a vice for the regular people, but a form of entertainment. If you get it to extremes it will grow a vicious cycle that is most of the times paired with drinking and becoming aggressive.
Even if you get to a professional it won't help you much if you don't have the will to fight the addiction and become a better man.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 21, 2020, 03:11:45 PM
I don't personally know any person who has made his riches from gambling, but I do know there are public personalities like Daniel Negreanu who has made its fortune from playing poker at tournaments. But that's not pure gambling - in poker tournaments you can actually turn the edge on your side by learning certain skills.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin boom or burst ? how to analyzed? on: February 21, 2020, 10:03:04 AM
It would be nice to know that for sure isn't it? However I don't think any of us owns a crystal ball.. we can only make our "best guesses" on the market behavior and stick to them.
Learn fundamental and/or technical analysis and then come up with a strategy that you can respect even when the market looks like it will fall from its highest high like a rock. If you have a strong strategy it is imperative not to get influenced by other people's opinions.
