Maybe give alibaba.com a try.  There are a lot of vendors that can produce coins, but do your own due diligence.

I will echo the same regarding the quality of information on this forum.  Great place to learn and share knowledge.

Regarding losing a wallet and associated bitcoin...if I were to lose my mobile wallet, I'd still be able to access it online via website.  Is this a newer feature that wasn't available with wallets previously?

From my own experience, I have been able to double my bitcoin more often than I hit a losing streak and lose everything.  Definitely not fail safe, but that is a bit less risky to me than regular martingale.

Any strategy that doubles more often than it busts is a winning strategy. You've almost certainly either been lucky or have mis-counted. Smiley

Well it hasn't been a winning strategy for me, because when I hit that eventual losing streak, it doesn't matter how many times I've doubled my funds, because it goes back to zero.

To your point, perhaps it has involved luck, but I don't think it's very odd for people to double their money before losing it all when following martingale.

I haven't done the math yet, but I think making periodic withdrawals while winning is like having insurance.  At the end of the day, it's very possible and likely that a series of future bets will be continuous losses until zero.  The question is whether you can withdraw more than your initial principal before that happens.

From my own experience, I have been able to double my bitcoin more often than I hit a losing streak and lose everything.  Definitely not fail safe, but that is a bit less risky to me than regular martingale.

I've updated my signature and personal text on the left side.

Do I receive any confirmation or do I need to just check the registry document?  If I do, how often is it updated?

Thanks!

I started with about 80k satoshi and doubled it for a few days in a row up to 2,200,000 satoshi before I lost it all...no surprise there.

Then I started to think I should make x% withdrawals while I'm winning, to have a reserve for the inevitable loss as an insurance.

So for example, if you can double your principal a few times before losing using martingale, then if you can withdraw > your principal you will end up ahead, but again, it just comes down to luck.  The first series of bets can be the one that puts you away.

I've been using Coinbase on mobile, but cannot seem to access the vault address.  Is anyone else having this issue?
869  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project Bitcoin Island - Bali - Indonesia on: March 19, 2015, 06:31:31 PM
This is a great project.  I've traveled to Bali twice over the past couple years, and on my most recent visit, I had a lot of issues withdrawing Rupiah with my bank card.  Using bitcoin and not having to worry about withdrawing currency would make a big difference for travelers.

As a relatively new bitcoin user, I had some concerns about learning about how wallets work, whether they are secure, if there are any fees associated with having an account, and what is the difference between the wallets available.
