I like the "Wild Beast" in the name.
It reflects part of the vision behind the project and even is a noble cause.
Also, the silver coin editions are pretty sweet!

Wow, looks like awesome work is being done here. So being able to play the games within the wallet costs 200 GSY. Do you also plan to create in-game use cases for GSY? I guess that will be tough, as you also would need suitable games for that, right? Maybe you could also talk to the dev behind Huntercoin (the video game that fully runs on their own blockchain): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=435170.7020;topicseenI would imagine that there is great room for collaboration. Blakecoin seem to also focus on video gaming, as well as FreeYourVunk who want to enable free trade for virtual property within video games. I see good things coming for GenesysCoin. Keep up the great work!

@channel Hello I suggested Peter to rebrand the name of the coin into Wild Beast Blockchain. In this way we can take out the oddity of having bitcoin in the name and being considered just a clone coin with a weird name. Also since now wbb is the first coin to have an os based on its block chain it will fit the project perfectly. Also we can keep wbb for the name and the same logo so that no adjustments need to be done there.
If you agree please plus one this post as Peter said should be a community decision
If you like the idea just reply with +1 +1 Great idea! Wild Beast Blockchain much better suits the vision in my eyes. And we can even keep the WBB

I might have overread it: Will the OS of WBB be open source? Or how does it work?

really nice to see that shift is moving in the right direction. i think its the best decission to get the original, talented and hard working shift dev back. and community support it.
waiting for some more infos on this threath to all conditions etc.
if someone dont like the things how shift moving at the moment then feel free to leave and look for another project thats my opinion. i will stay into the worlds first eth fork for sure and go on with development.
100% agreed. We are putting effort into being productive and achieving progress so let us please keep the conversation in this thread proactive - thank you.

Yes, indeed we as a community are planning to be assisting the dev a lot. There will also be a pool of coins for community engaged development to incentivize people to participate and share the success with the community. Great to hear that you might be able to help, fartbags - please join Slack

Lol yeah it is a top app, and the dashboard is very slick, Glad to see more people coming to the realization I am really happy to have stumbled upon this one. The devs are building very innovative tech from scratch. A decentralized OS? Amen - how amazing is this?

The Announcement link under http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ribbitrewards/ still leads to the old thread. Would be great if a mod could change it to this thread or put a post under the old thread pointing to this one. To get this the notion it deserves.

Interesting, thanks for that!

I am confused. What's going on, why is there a Takeover-Thread? Any clarification o the current situation? Thanks.
The updates will be posted in this thread, so you can just follow here. See this post: The community reached consensus with the dev. I personally see Shift finally developing a clearer path and am looking forward to the upcoming times.

There will be a posted update soon.
The meeting went great.

Great! Also, here is an overview of a regular startup fundraising mindset (sorry for large size):

Would be nice if you guys used Github and updated with new clients and available downloads and also kept OP updated too. Had a bunch of problems downloading block chain updating client and getting connected peers. Took over an hour or more to find latest client update and working nodes but still only got 2 peers connected and downloading. Hoping this solves the errors and stuck chain.
Thanks for your feedback! Here you go: https://github.com/soilcurrency/go-ethereum/releases/tag/1.4.0Keeping the OP updated is important and we always try to ensure that you folks get all the essential information right from the OP. I saw that the download offer on our website was one version below and it's fixed now. We have not released an OS X version in the last release and no one was complaining, therefore we omit it. If your client is not syncing you can copy paste the node list of the OP. Just to clarify again the certain state: You are going to fork Homestead upon release, right? As Ethereum still struggles with finding a date for shifting from PoW to PoS, how are you doing it with Soil?

We Will of course listen to the community. Not about doing a ICO. It Will be a relaunch.
No again. My point was about doing ICO/crowdsale before starting this project (as it is now). You had the chance to gather at least 50 BTC for the first ETH fork. Anyway, good luck. EDIT: On second thought, I think you can find some investors for the current project. Why don't you try that first? If you have the abilities to develop this project, and convince some people you will not worry about the development funds anymore. True, I also think there should be a lot of interest now from investors in exploring the possibilities of Ethereum technology. Anyhow, an ICO/crowdsale is about the same as finding investors. ShiftTeam, could you please post the specifications that you are having in mind for the Shift v.2? Also, still an unknown factor within the Ethereum Foundation is when the switching from PoW to PoS will occur (they told me probably happening next year). It would be great if you could predecide on a block number. I imagine for example it could be nice if the SHIFT from PoW to PoS came early and abrupt. Maybe after three months. It could give an edge over Ethereum in terms of accelerating growth in interest of miners, if the SHIFT from PoW to PoS happened quite early. I do not know though if this is technically feasable, as I am not a coder myself. So it would be great to have some info on your thoughts, especially in terms of: Current coins in circulation: PoS shifting date: Pre- and post-PoS shift inflation rate: Max coins: Will coins continue to stake after hitting the max limit of coins? if yes, to which extent: Roadmap estimates: I assume you will be forking Homestead?

- I will probably relaunch SHIFT.
- Those who have SHF will be able to convert them into SHIFT v2.
- I am able to get more developers onto the team, so that im not alone while developing this.
- I will also make some small adjustments to the difficulty settings along with some other improvements. This time i will make sure that we do not run out of funds.
- The premine will be around 5 million SHF. I will also create a DAO (which expanse have said from the beginning, but have not accomplished).
- And of course i will make sure that SHIFT is in sync with the latest version of Ethereum code base. My other plans for SHIFT will be executed and explained in a roadmap and a whitepaper.
Step number one is to make the new release with a new genesis block. Step two, create a system for those who currently have SHF and wants to convert them into SHF v2. Step three, a new block explorer. Step four, Teka can give me the 90% done webpage and we can publish that. Step five, i will finance new VPSes from my own pocket with the 0.2 BTC i currently have. Step six, buy a suiting domain name. All this will be done simultaneously. I know i can make SHIFT the best alternative ethereum fork. I wont let SHIFT vanish after the hard work put down into this. Awesome - I will definately follow development. If you manage to get done what you state here, great - especially the DAO. So converting would be 1 to 1 I assume?

Great work on the one click verify feature!
It's amazingly easy to use, even for non-techies.
