*Warning incoming flames*

Why is anyone using BTCJAM at all? With the fluctuations in price, this service is at best extremely irresponsible.
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: April 02, 2013, 07:00:02 AM
Somewhere netween $120 and $2000. Maybe between 380 and 620.

Anyway, these words costs nothing if market enters unpredictable mode out of counts.

I'm very confused about that last drop to 99. So far the count have been, if not completely clear, at least readable in a bullish manner all the time, that last drop there confuses me. The entire topping patterns looks atypical. Both difficulty increase and google trends volume indicates further growth though...

Grats on getting here with 2 posts o.0

But anyway, if you look back historically over the last few months you will see a masochistic bear that always drop big market sells when we approach new ATH's (even when they would have made thousands more just selling a little at a time).
864  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you gain more dollar(your currency) value last month in Bitcoins or work? on: April 02, 2013, 06:57:40 AM
Many people here made more yesterday than they would have made in an entire year working at their job (or former job).
865  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe the economy does support the price... on: April 02, 2013, 06:55:31 AM

The reason this isn't a fair comparison is that bitcoin is perceived by its supporters as a better store of value than the dollar

Yes, exactly. Its more akin to gold at this stage than it is to a fiat currency. I dont think the usage of other utilities of bitcoin (including transferability) will catch up to the wealth preservation utility until we get deep into 4 digits.
866  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't handle these prices... How much was that again?? on: April 02, 2013, 06:48:43 AM
This happened to me last month when I chose not to renew cypher's subscription. Because with all due respect, no newsletter is worth $300 a month!

I also have to make some mental shits when I play blackjack/SD. I switched my bitzino currency display to cB, so that the numeric value is approx the same as a USD. Otherwise I end up tilting and betting way too much. -.-

Or $500 a month for S3052 =o
867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 02, 2013, 06:47:06 AM

Euro recovering after the dip on the 25'th, that can explain the 6K rash sell off this morning. Movements on Gox are increasingly inversely linked to movements of the Euro and thats another sign that European attention on Bitcoin is increasing.

That would be interesting, but personally I think its the same old bear that dumps everytime we get back near the ATH again (when the new funds to mtgox havent arrived yet).
868  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100$ Woohoo! on: April 01, 2013, 03:42:54 PM
Congrats everyone!

I don't think there's many people not feeling very pleased right now.

ALOT of old hands sold at 13. I can assure you they are not pleased.

Bitcoin price is a google trends predictor.
+1
Excactly. The price seems to drive the interest more than the other way around although although both views are true to some degree. People like to make money.

Technically, its a feedback loop so its circular, not single direction.

I was dreamin' when I wrote this
Forgive me if it goes astray
But when I woke up this mornin'
Coulda sworn it was judgment day
The sky was all purple
There were people runnin' everywhere
Tryin' 2 run from the destruction
U know I didn't even care
'Cuz they say one zero zero party over
Oops out of time
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 99
I was dreamin' when I wrote this
So sue me if I go 2 fast
But life is just a party
And parties weren't meant 2 last
War is all around us
My mind says prepare 2 fight
So if I gotta die
I'm gonna listen 2 my body tonight
Yeah, they say one zero zero party over
Oops out of time
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 99
Yeah
Lemme tell ya somethin'
If U didn't come 2 party
Don't bother knockin' on my door
I got a lion in my pocket
And baby he's ready 2 roar
Yeah, everybody's got a bomb
We could all die any day
But before I'll let that happen
I'll dance my life away
They say one zero zero party over
Oops out of time
We're runnin' outta time
So tonight we gonna, we gonna (Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 99)
Say it 1 more time
one zero zero party over
Oops out of time
No, no
So tonight we gonna, we gonna (Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 99)
Alright, it's 99
You say it, 99
99
99 don't stop, don't stop, say it 1 more time
one zero zero party over
Oops out of time
Yeah, Yeah
So tonight we gonna, we gonna (Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 99)
Yeah, 99
Don'tcha wanna go
Don'tcha wanna go
We could all die any day
I don't wanna die
I'd rather dance
877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here's how you can anticipate a coming crash/correction on: April 01, 2013, 01:07:14 PM
Their actual problem is that they have no base rate, like every other online broker has. Therefore they have to process millions of tiny nuisance orders all the time. Bitcoin is not a micro-payment system anyway.

What's this base rate or base price you're talking about?

A fixed amount for each transaction. Example: E*Trade asks for $9.99, less under certain circumstances, for each stock and options trade, 75¢ per options contract, and $1 per online bond trade, no matter which value.

Mt.Gox could solve its nuisance micro-order problem with much lower fees. And they would rid themselves of the front-running suspicion as well.

Sounds like a solid business plan for a competitor...
878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 01, 2013, 12:14:50 PM
First time I see the bid/ask ratio under the price. Currently about 72 USD/BTC ratio.

hmm where do u see this?
