863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - New formula is live on: November 02, 2013, 12:05:20 AM
needs adding to tis page
http://www.megacoin.co.nz/services

that coinpayments can be used on merchant sites/stores/ ecommerce etc. to accept megacoins

https://coinpayments.net/

they also do donation buttons
https://coinpayments.net/index.php?cmd=merchant_tools&sub=donations

I know MEC is supported for payment buttons, checking with site guys if donate supports MEC

I reached out to the guys that own site, as is a quite brilliant service they have, groundbreaking really for crypto and ability to set up your own stores. I will be building a store, and mec will be one of main cryptos i accept

be nice if someone can add the mec symbol, silver coin and the red one for members here, as will be quite useful, added on top of the button below
then can be added to code to add to your sites

maybe to replace the blue balls image to left?

if anyone is able to do that will be fab, I don't have photoshop unforunately

I also reached out to coinpayments guys and asked if they will be able to add MEC coin to the multiple donation donate button

864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: any place to exchange NMC to BTC? on: November 01, 2013, 10:48:32 PM
btc-e best for this

crypsty great exchange but their volume for nmc, terracoin, even litecoin is embarrasingly low

the sells are too high on cryptsy and buys are ridiculously low for nmc

so yes, btce best place imo for namecoin
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-coin online wallet? on: November 01, 2013, 10:45:41 PM
personally I wouldn't trust any service like this, although of course you are free to seek out

imo, keep 90% or so of your coins in wallets on your desktop, protected by passwords, and back up wallet. dat's and passwords on thumbdrive

keep rest on couple of exchanges for trading

keeping all on an exchange or online wallet coulsd get lost in hack or dodgy owners or country feds taking down exchange foe some random reason
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin - Released on: November 01, 2013, 09:41:31 PM

Tagbond is a startup trying to change a few things in the membership and rewards sector. As part of the TagBond idea, we wanted to create a universal rewards currency that could be used everywhere and by everyone, and is specifically created with the rewards market in mind. A coin that itself would earn rewards. So we have created TagCoin.

About Tagbond and TagCash

Tagbond itself is a mixture of ideas from Multiply, Google Adsense, Groupon and Paypal. Anyone can create a community, and add marketing modules to promote on Tagbond itself, or via Facebook and other sites. These modules are called tagverts, which include coupons, prize draws, polls/surveys, mini shopping carts, loyalty cards, competitions and more. They can include rewards for the customer such as membership upgrades, points, real cash and crypto currency, and can include affiliate payments to anyone who wants to share them. RFID, NFC and QR codes are used throughout the system. Tagbond will help crypto to be used as a currency not just a commodity.

Alongside Tagbond.com we are creating TagCash.com which will be a payment platform offering fiat and crypto currency, featuring ewallets, currency conversion, merchant processing, micro payments and escrow.

Mobile applications are under development for all parts of the system, and there is a full API for anyone to integrate with mobile apps and websites.

Finally, we will be launching Tagcash.net which is a crypto exchange. We will be taking in most major currencies, and enable fiat/crypto trading pairs in most of them, including TagCoin. There will be no charges within the system - fees are $15 to deposit wire transfers and $25 to transfer out.

About The Developer

http://www.crunchbase.com/person/mark-vernon-2

All of these companies operate from Makati, Philippines, which is a major finance center in Asia. They are wholly owned by Mark Vernon, a veteran of internet business, who owns vtc.com (online software video training since 1996 and currently valued at around $15m USD), iplotz.com and eduslide.com. He is both startup founder and angel investor and is investing approximately $5m USD into the enterprise. The aim of the entire company is to be open and transparent, while also working with banks and central authorities to make this work.

Tagbond is registered with Fincen, and is working with the Bangko Sentral to become a licensed money issuer (which requires $2.5m paid up capital). Banking partners are Standard Chartered Bank and Union Bank. Tagbond and Tagcash will work with other partners as needed for licensing in Europe, USA and other countries.

About TagCoin

TagCoin will be the primary currency used within Tagbond and TagCash. We designed TagCoin with the following objectives in mind:

Fairness - Difficulty will start out at a reasonable value so no one can get an unfair advantage
Sustainability - Parameters have been chosen such that TagCoin can survive well into the future
Services - Tagbond and TagCash are just the start of the ecosystem that will we be building around TagCoin
Transparency - Open Conversation and discussion with the founders and staff within Tagbond

A little bit about the parameters we've chosen. 4 minutes between blocks is a happy medium between speed and sustainability. Faster coins will run into many problems down the line, the least of which is blockchain bloat. As we intend to support TagCoin for many years to come, these are big issues.

Subsidy reduction has been rethought. Halving every X amount of blocks, like Bitcoin, is very unnatural and "shocks" the market every halving. Accordingly, we've decided to introduce a more natural reduction formula for Tagcoin. The subsidy will reduce by 1% every 3 months for the life of the coin. Additionally, there is a minimum block reward of 3 set in place, as to always encourage mining. Sustaining mining solely on fees is problematic; Bitcoin will have to deal with this somewhere down the line, but Tagcoin will not. Less than 100 million coins will be generated in the first 30 years before this minimum block reward has been reached.

Twelve retargets per day with a maximum swing in either direction of 25% will ensure that difficulty never stalls due to multipool influence. Many coins have had to issue a hardfork for this, so we'll just address it right out of the gates.

Approximately 300 blocks have been premined for the purposes of giveaway and promotion through Tagbond, and TagCash, and this forum.

Starting difficulty of 0.5 was chosen to ensure a fair launch with no instamine.

867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - New formula is live on: November 01, 2013, 09:35:47 PM
Dr. - Any chance you will be reaching out to the folks at Tagcoin to have them incorporate Megacoin into their Android app? They have indicated they are willing to support additional coins if the administrator reaches out to them.  I've been playing with the application since yesterday and it seems to be functioning correctly.  We should probably still have our own wallet (is anyone working on this yet?) but the more places Megacoin can be used the better!

agreed

I ignored tagcoin thread for past week or so as thought was another clown teenager in his underpants copying and pasting litecoin

however, see first post on ANN thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=317408.0, very interesting
I like the look of the developer, who is not afraid to post pic, name , experience
also he is already underway getting fiat exchange in phillipines etc

it's an excellent original idea, as it is not just another coin, although is not earth shattering design, is quite simple and conservative being pos/pow hybrid, scrypt

it's the full package thats interesting
he's looking to take on a lot of hugely successful ideas and incorporate, apps, paypal, crypto, rewards, etc
and create a whole product and exchange

working with these guys early doors could be very beneficial to both sides
and megacoin is one of the standalone alts with everything going for it, unlike most of the shitcoins

if the good doctor takes a look at this I am sure he will be impressed and reach out to Mark
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WDC 51% attacked, but is now fixed thanks to Real Solid. on: November 01, 2013, 07:25:20 PM
There are only 28,463,236 WDC in circulation right now.  Let's be sure to use easily accessible facts when making statements.

clearly I meant TOTAL number of coins possible
as anyone who buys this coin knows the 265 million figure , or should

it's in total to be released: Coins: 265,420,800
to be exact, according to site

also your link  which states 28,463,236 as fact
coinmarketcap is showing wdc out there now as;
9,813,813

http://postimg.org/image/6kavl8pt1/

don't know whether this has anything to do with mining pools out, block explorer problems, don't know

and 3 minutes later, there's 10,511,554 !
http://postimg.org/image/n1808j9pd/

so truth is , you're easily accessible facts , aren't facts at all

the only fact we have is TOTAL number of coins I quoted which is off worlcoin site and original ann thread

Its funny how you say educate the noobs and then quote a number an order more than the current supply.

see above

870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Great MCXNow Feeshare Conspiracy of our Time on: November 01, 2013, 01:24:09 PM
yes, and it's looking like worldcoin maybe another branch of this as playing out in exactly the same way
fee shares, same format
new site
lots bought out, then a pump, then 'news'
lots of new members appearing from nowhere, even though new members cant sign up now
then this scharmbeck.com site under privacy with no real info, just a teaser to lure people in

realsolid involved, only supporting this coin and copperlark and others

I am for one staying a mile away from this mcxnow and worldcoin etc

both of these things smell. oh and mincoin getting pumped skyhigh for no reason , again only on mcxnow one of RS coins which offers nothing

posted here

871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WDC 51% attacked, but is now fixed thanks to Real Solid. on: November 01, 2013, 01:18:13 PM
Worldcoin was recently 51% attacked, but has now been fixed by RealSolid the developer of MCXNOW.com.
The culprit has also been caught. Details in the link below.

http://www.worldcoinfoundation.org/news/confirmed-51-attack-double-spend-attack-worldcoin

http://pastebin.com/s6gMwLRg

P.S. MCXNOW feeshares are now being sold to the public, get them while they're hot!

so 5 posts, praising realsolid, pumping worldcoin and mcnow fee shares
are we to assume this is a realsolid shill account?

secondly, it's more than a coicidence  worldcoin is being pumped on that exchange before the new site launch
then this 'application' sent to trade worldcoin has all the hallmarks of what mcxnow just did, fee shares, on a site with no indfo or history, and under privacy
scharmbeck.com

can we assume realsolid bought or took over worldcoin and is his latest pumptoy?

please also point out to noobs, there is over quarter or a BILLION of these worldcoins
265,000,000 I think

Thank you AlienWalkerX!!!! Here is the link to the updated donate button.
https://github.com/gorgeousborg/MegaCoinDonateWidget
You may download and install to your webpage. I left the choices for btc, ltc and ftc in. There is one change that needs to be made.
---------------------------
Open widget/coin.js and find:

source: 'ADD_YOUR_SOURCE_URL_HERE'

C. Change the URL portion of this line to your own server/path.

=--------------------------
That's it. There are also some parameters you can mess with, located here
http://coinwidget.com/
tried to format but no go.
Let me know if there's trouble.

you're a hero darkproton! well done
I will go and have a play

ideally just imo lose the ftc,ltc , btc
people may make a mistake and send, alos why advertise others lol

so, now the good doctor needs to test and add dedicated page to site like feathercoin imo
code should be easily sampled

thats what we're looking for doctor
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: October 30, 2013, 05:09:18 PM
https://mcxnow.com

mcxNOW is happy to announce its most significant update, including features that we hope will become standard across all other exchanges. It is our goal to revolutionise crypto-currency trade.

All balances earn interest
mcxNOW has begun redistributing 25% of all profits directly to its users. If you hold a balance on mcxNOW, you automatically earn interest.  Interest is proportional and dividends are posted every 6 hours.

Earn more by investing in mcxFEE shares
You can also invest in the exchange by purchasing mcxFEE shares. For each mcxFEE you own, you receive 0.001% of all exchange fees.

Fee revenue isn't limited to bitcoins. All fees, for each currency, are re-distributed to shareholders every 24 hours.  Purchasing shares is just one more way that you can sit back and enjoy watching your crypto-portfolio grow.

Seems to good to be true, doesn't it? [Read the interest/mcxFEE FAQ for additional details]

What about security?
Four months and not a single satoshi lost! mcxNOW is custom built, using the same technology used to operate and secure the NYSE.  There are zero known vulnerabilities to exploit, artificial intelligence processes checking every packet and the service has had proven 99.99% uptime with exceptional DDoS resistance.

Current trade offerings include Litecoin (LTC), Primecoin (XPM), Solidcoin (SC), Minecoin (MNC), Worldcoin (WDC), Devcoin (DVC) and Copperlark (CL), with other coins coming in the very-near future.

mcxNOW feels that exchanges must exist, first, for their clients.  Profit-sharing should be part of each users experience.

Questions?
If you have anymore questions, please do not hesitate to take a look at our FAQ

Hi, took my first visit
no MEC?

please add megacoin and will gladly join up

I actually never heard of copperlark and thats listed???
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - New formula is live on: October 30, 2013, 04:57:41 PM
just in case anyone missed post other day
I noticed megacoin.co was in pending delete recently, waited and snaffled it
it is on a permamnent redirect to megacoin.co.nz as a shortcut

if kimoto wants it he can have domain, no probs with that
personally I think the .co.nz doesnt look great on stickers etc, this is short and sweet

.org is best of course, but gone

he can easily mirror site on the .co too
