8681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - The gamechanger? on: August 31, 2017, 12:34:46 PM
The coin is not listed on many exchanges because of the udnerlying technology that needs to be implemented. It is easier to add Tokens that run already existing blockchains. It has been announced by the IOTA team that more exchanges are comming soon.
I think it is quite a task for exchanges to adapt to handling the tangle network, I saw recently on slack that Bitpanda will be adding IOTA but not too sure of when.  IOTA is exciting.
Yes, IOTA is a true major innovation in the world of cryptocurrency. No fees, graph decentralization and instant transactions. And yet, because of it being so different from others, I believe it truly faces problems. Exchangers are not adding it a lot, probably because of technology differences, just like you said. Add to that the issues with wallets showing zero balance. IOTA needs time to be acknowledged and improved.
8682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: August 31, 2017, 12:14:20 PM
Hold 220, sell 30 for fiat. I'm not sure if it's a big money for you but if it is - why not to enjoy your life and have some wonderful trip or something like that? Yes, eth is likely to rise in the future. If you know what you need this money for specifically (like buying a cool car/flat) then hold everything. If you are just happy to have a lot of money - sell at least some of it for everything not to be worthless.
8683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy NEO now and keep it till its rise? on: August 31, 2017, 11:17:17 AM
You should learn more about the Chinese market. to avoid the worst possible risks to you

Yes. It is super difficult to understand this coin if you don't live in China and don't know situation in county.
There is bad news that government in China wants to ban all ICO. So it quite dangerous now to invest in NEO.
You can try, but 10-30% percentages of your budget.

I hope China is not that stupid to dump its own inventions and thus the economy and status of this country. I certainly hope that NEO will rise just as people predicted. I bought it for $37 or so, now it's a bit down but I believe NEO will do just fine in competing with ETH. They have ICOs and a big conference is September if I'm not mistaken. And the coin itself certainly has its advantages upon ETH is the programming languages and leadership of its creator.
8684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best 50 Coins To Hold 3 Years on: August 31, 2017, 11:06:29 AM
OP, I think you should buy some dash, doge, byteball, monero, ethereum, iota and litecoin if you want a long-term profit.
Guys, tell me why to hold waves? Share your reasons.  Cool
As you probably already know, waves offers the creation of specific tokens adjusted to one's private business sphere. This idea is sort of promising, because even when icos are built on some platforms like neo or eth, the price of these two grows. If people will create their own tokens which is easier and safer than cryptocurrencies, the price will surely go up.
8685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with LGD? on: August 31, 2017, 10:53:09 AM
i believe you should hold. investing need pation, experience and grit.
I couldn't resist selling to buy adex. I hope this coin is more perspective and will help to win what I lost from my stupid action of buying lgd. Well, it is still falling down, so I guess I had no other choice. Adx at least has some partners which are going to be announced in September. It is not growing yet but at least it is stable for now.
8686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ADX] AdEx ICO Speculation on: August 30, 2017, 09:48:13 AM
Got listed on Gatecoin. It's a Hongkong exchange, not China mainland.

Waiting more good news to come. The price should reach $5 quite soon, I hope.

https://medium.com/the-adex-blog/adx-now-tradable-on-gatecoin-exchange-in-china-123518dd2990
They stated on their telegram channel that next week they will announce a listing on one of the bigger Adian exchanges

That will definetely give the price a boost

https://mobile.twitter.com/assassin7898/status/900717172007239680/photo/1
As well as some new partnerships. Hope we can see at least x2 boost Roll Eyes
I am going to buy adx right now. I think the price is okay, it dropped a bit. And a lot of people say it's going to rise soon. I can't wait to see it happen. I'm not sure whether this coin is good long-term but at least I hope to get some short-term profit here. Do you mostly consider it short-term or long-term? I'm just now sure if advertisers will really want to use a crypto and especially a new unstable cryptocurrency.
8687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash Stuck?! on: August 30, 2017, 09:26:02 AM
I thought bitcoin cash was an attempt to solve the problem with blocks in a different way from segregated witness option, but I was sure it sorts out the transaction fees and length as well. If these transactions are even slower and thus make people worry more about their money, what is it really good for and why people keep using it? I think it was a bad and risky idea to force a fork and now it appears that it didn't even help to solve a thing.
8688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now a MILLIONAIRE because of NEO. on: August 30, 2017, 09:13:29 AM
Is it true ? Great and I salute if that's true, congratulations you become a millionaire
The majority of people out here say it's fake. Nice try anyway! I bought NEO for $35 or so and now wait for it to grow but it's been only going down since then! I think now is early to panic, so I just wait. I heard there is some big conference in neo coming up soon if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I hope we're not dumped here, I has big hopes in this one.
8689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I buy IOTA? on: August 30, 2017, 09:03:24 AM
Thank you, guys, for advising me bitfinex. I guess it was a stupid question after all.. I use coinmarketcap website every day and have never noticed that they state the markets where one could buy the specific coin. I've just registered there and now try to find out the min buying and withdraw sum out here. I don't see the info in withdrawal section. Maybe you already know what it is and can help me with finding out?
8690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What to do with LGD? on: August 30, 2017, 08:51:07 AM
Hello guys and gals. Recently I saw LGD dropping hard and decided to buy it when the price is low. I bought some when the price was around $2. The reason I thought the coin will recover is that I remember them having a great signature campaign, so there are/were some people with sufficient funds and interest to back up the coin. The price is still dropping and is now nearly $1.5. What should I do? Should I sell now and lose or is there any hope it will eventually go up, so I just have to wait? What would you do?
8691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that will take off in SEPTEMBER? on: August 29, 2017, 08:52:14 AM
Lisk, Shift and Blocknet, all have updates and will continue to pump I hope.
With lisk I probably agree but blocknet has pumped enormously already, so I guess now the price can only drop.
This week: Adex
Next week: NEO
Mid/end of September: Nexus

thanks for your sharing, its good news for me.
May I know where the source of the info?
Adex - they will announce new partnerships this week. Source - their telegram channel
NEO - several ICOs in September + conference.
Nexus - huge conference mid September
I hope you're right about neo. I bought some and then the price went down... I'll think about buying adex as well now, thanks for the news!

As for the OP's question - enjin coin release will happen soon. Who knows, maybe it will go right up. At least, they have a casino backing them up.
8692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The safest way to invest in Cryptocurrency on: August 29, 2017, 08:30:23 AM
  • buy high
  • sell low
  • invest in biggest gainers at CoinMarketCap

 Grin
Your instruction would've been great if you didn't make a huge mistake. Obviously, you must've meant buying low and selling high.
Anyway, I think that the idea is good, but can be specified a bit. To invest safely one has to follow these steps:
1. Look at top 20 coins on coinmarketcap.
2. Define those which dropped 20%+.
3. Look at the news about these coins to make sure the drop is not due to serious problems discovered.
4. Look at the price chart of the coin and make sure it's price was 20%+ higher than now for at least two weeks.
5. BUY IMMEDIATELY those coins which met all the requirements.
6. Wait till the price recovers, then watch the price carefully once per hour.
7. Sell when it drops 5% from the maximum you saw that day.
8693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where can I buy IOTA? on: August 29, 2017, 08:20:34 AM
I became really interested in this coin and I wanted to buy it rightaway. I use bittrex for trading but unfortunately it is not there. I also tried to find a wallet for it but found only github link with sophisticated instructions. Can somebody please tell whether there is a good trading website where I could buy around 10 IOTA for btc on reasonable price? Of course the min withdrawal no higher than 0.003 and no crazy exchange website fees are required. Thanks in advance!
8694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is iota a scam? on: August 29, 2017, 08:09:59 AM
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/blog/azure-blockchain-update-5/

Looks like I had nothing to worry about.

Seems like I stumbled into greatness. Sorry for doubting the main guy

Thanks for the link. I did not know that Microsoft was collaborating with IOTA. It definitely adds more credibility to the IOTA project. I think the naysayers have a huge burden to prove their point, given how much backing IOTA is getting from some of the largest companies in the world.
I really believe in this project. Not only because major companies already back it up, but also because it is an attempt to build something new, show everyone another view on what cryptocurrency is and what it can become. This broadens the horizons as well as attracts interest to the project. Maybe it will crush some day, because of sophisticated technology but it is certainly not a scam.
8695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Chart Analyzer - What features would you want? on: August 29, 2017, 07:59:03 AM
So you want to create software which analyzes charts solely, right? Or will it be an advances trading platform? If you are speaking of the first one then you have to take a look at coinmarketcap first. Perhaps you've already heard of this website. They have the charts for most of coins + trading volume, amount of coins and change in marketcap in 24 hours. It will be hard to beat them, so maybe it's better to make a deal with them and get their system implemented into your program with some additional features like notifications of users when a coin drops or grows 20% in 24h, for instance?
8696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buy etc ? on: August 28, 2017, 08:40:05 AM
simple reason: because miners mine it.
Miners mine it but I think that this reason can be developed into something bigger. People in this thread write a lot about the price of etc. It is cheap, it's true. However, I think there is also a thing we tend to forget but perhaps some people don't. I'm talking about eth. I remember talks a few months ago about ethereum preparing to switch to the proof of stake mechanism. Eth must do that eventually in order to survive. And, as it was predicted that the switch happens at the beginning of 2017, I think it is not long before an attempt. If eth doesn't switch - it crushes and people have to move the money into something else fast. Why not to move it into something similar, into etc? If eth succeeds, miners have to mine something else. Again, turning to etc seems probable.
8697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves in December! on: August 28, 2017, 08:23:20 AM
Come on, I guess there is no source for such news. If there was - we would have already found it. I don't see anything on waves website and the the Internet the only thing I found is Russian news that one of the biggest Russian banks 'Gazprombank' has signed a treaty with Waves about strategic partnership. Perhaps it will affect the price and make it grow but I don't think that it will result in 10x growth. Moreover, this news is 1 month old.
8698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello Everyone on: August 28, 2017, 08:08:28 AM
The thread is still not there. liteshares, why are you aiming to give your coins for free? Is there some kind of a trick here? And if people get 90% for free then how is the price supposed to grow? If you are saying the truth then I surely support you and would like to have some of your coins. And please tell us more about the project. When will the coin be released? How will you decide who receives free coins? Do you have any plan to make an ANN thread on the coin, start a sig campaign perhaps? Are you negotiating with exchangers and some other crypto websites to have appropriate advertisement of the coin?
8699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: August 28, 2017, 07:56:37 AM
There is no such a thing as fun when it comes to you risking your money. ...
That's why I agree with those who say that it shouldn't be a real risk. One should think which amount of money will be okay to lose and only set this money on trading. I started trading recently with 0.003btc, for this is not the money that can really affect my life. I buy and sell small amounts of coins, sometimes with profit, other times I lose a bit. But it truly is a game for me now. And I suppose the op is right that only in such a way one can truly learn to trade. Otherwise trading will become an obsession that will cause damage to one's life.
8700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: August 28, 2017, 07:48:13 AM
Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?

the strategy I use is I buy an altcoin and put a price on the buy wall as well as when I sell the coins I have I choose to sell them under a sell wall. or I sell my coins with a profit of about 10-25%.
It's a very good coin selling strategy, selling at 10 -25% profit is a very rational advantage and the profit that can be good. Especially if the price of a coin can double from the price
Αs I don't have a lot to invest, 10% profit will never make a difference for me. I buy a coin that I want to trade and set a price which is nearly twice as big. This doesn't work always but in general it is possible. However, I guess the biggest wins of mine are still related to long-term investments (sold eth for $300 and still hold ltc bought for $20). It is great that exchangers offer us to set any price we feel like setting and we can just the the order under 'good till cancelled' conditions.
