8681  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 08, 2017, 03:17:57 AM
I invested in both. By quoting the saying: do not store eggs in one basket. And that's what I did. Because amount is still a little, then gold i store in wardrobe and bitcoin i save in wallet exchanger for trading.
A good choice, when there are 2 good choice surely we will select both, but I will give a percentage to 60% for bitcoin and 40% for gold, I give bigger to bitcoin because the proved very profitable.

After going through the historical gold prices for the past 100 years, I found that gold investment is also highly profitable. And even more, the prospects are also pretty good for gold. The mine production of gold is declining, and at the same time the demand from China and India is sharply rising.

Correct and one more is the mining industries are being shut down because of saving the environment movements.
When this goes large gold will be scarce and it will rise in price.
It aint bad to have two investments. You can do gold and bitcoin as long as you can still save something for yourself.
A year will come when people will be looking for more gold specially when it is being used as a conductor for chips.
8682  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you really make money on Forex? on: June 07, 2017, 05:40:28 PM
well first time i heard about forex the forex site is about to close.
All of the forex site will be close someday but you earn from it if you are pioneer many chances of winning if you are pioneer.
We can make money on forex.
I don’t know where you got your information from, Forex is not about to close. Brokers may stop pairing certain currencies against each other though if Bitcoin gets intergrated as an official currency then the whole Forex thing will stay alive much longer than it was planned for because someone out there may be willing to trade their Bitcoins for old currencies.

Maybe he is talking about one website who does commodity and currency exchanges. Not the whole Forex.
I am kind of shocked when i read it from him. Suddenly, I did google it just for confirmation.
It will not close just like that.
It is like saying to end the world. Grin
Many people will be losing their job and a lot of money is at stake here so better be careful with what you are feeding the people.
8683  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 07, 2017, 11:48:27 AM
I am still hopong for a jackpot til now lol. Anyways have anyone discussed their invest on their wallet system? Like storing the amounts on their wallet anf gsin interest? I think that it was not stated of how much interesr would they give to their users on a percentage based of couree
4.08% of annual interest
Discussion of this is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1838072.0

Personally I will not trust any form of online wallet including wallet freebitco.in provide to store my bitcoin for those tiny returns.  Wink

Lol yeah!
Especially a FAUCET
I mean common, it's already incredible that they survived this long. If you check out 99% of faucet have simply disappeared.
So a Faucet oppening itself to investment?
I say be cautious, once your coins are on there site there is NOTHING you can do.
Are you ready to risk all your BTC for 4% a year?

If yes please send them to me :p

Agree that it might run for a short term only.
Better run faster than them or not at all. I would rather invest in a gambling site who pays up monthly interest than this. Although it is riskier if they lost still it is faster than it will be for a year.
If bitcoin shoots up higher it will be more of a problem if they try to run.
I would not invest with this.
8684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 07, 2017, 09:14:42 AM
You need to surround yourself with other things to do. Don't give yourself time to think about gambling and you'll find yourself in a much better place.
Yes, external help from our family members/friends will definitely help us not to think about gambling in more frequent occurrence. When we are giving some big time gap for our gambling activities, we can be sure that giving up gambling will become easier. Only the gamblers who are frequenting to gambling are getting addiction and finding giving up gambling is not easy.

It will become a hobby into which when a certain time on the clock ticks their feet are taking them into the gambling site.
Like you said it can be stopped once that person breaks that routine even with just for an hour or two.
That will be a big change. Until he gets to the point that he is supposed to be there but not anymore because of other activities that he recently discovered which makes him more happy
8685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My first day of trading on: June 07, 2017, 08:39:30 AM
A couple days ago I transfered enough from my bank account to buy 1 Bit coin.  While waiting for the $ to make it from the bank to the exchange I had $75.00 invested so could use it to practice with.  Keep in mind that I had no experience with bit coin trading and my past day trading did not go well.

Today I saw that SC (Siacoin) was above 10% and volume was above 10,000.  It was also very active pumping up and down.  I did four buy and sell trades, not aiming for much more than 5% profit on each one and increased my $75.00 to $91.00.  It was a great leaning experience.  Also very humbling because on the first trade I made a mistake and lucked out.

Scott

Mistakes do happen and we learn from that.
Ask someone who have been trading here if he didn't experience any lost? I dont think there is one.
As a starter, we have this doubts and panics that makes us pick the wrong choice.
Even those who holds for a long time do have regrets thinking they should've withdrawn already.
8686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: June 07, 2017, 06:39:22 AM
Saving bitcoin will surely help you achieve your goals in the future, as the price increases tendency are you will earn higher profit. I do save bitcoin for future purpose and if in 5yrs the price increased so much, we are the one who benefits on that.

Long term investment?
Kind of a problem with me because I love playing with my coins in trading or in gambling although I have saved some just in case.
We have different views with this saving thing. Some save just for short term and would do another investment in other fields.
For now, it is really a good idea to stay with bitcoin because of the blooming popularity.
8687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can governments find a way to tax Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2017, 03:14:23 AM
File it as your income then they can tax you now.
But if you dont they won't have any idea that you owned something like a crypto currency.
Maybe in the future they will find a way but for now they cant.
That is why it is better to have it now than later for they dont have any means to trace it or if they do it will be hard and they will use a lot of money for that kind of project to be sustained.
8688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Active or Passive on: June 07, 2017, 02:04:20 AM
Passive is kind of boring although I am profiting in it and cant do anything about it.
I already have a job so that is like a passive earning for me.
With bitcoin I am trying to make it different.
Trading and a little gambling for fun. I want some movement with my coins and I want it fast. I know it grows in price faster than any invetment but still after my job I want to do something and not just sit and wait for bitcoin to rise.
8689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: June 06, 2017, 06:07:22 PM
There are a lot of criminals out there and scamming online in social Medias before we can have bitcoin. There are a lot of criminals out there in this world that they will not choose who will go to be their victims. Even if the person is not rich they will still scam people. So I don't think that you give criminals an option to think that they can use bitcoin. Or should I say how did you say that? Do you know someone that is criminal because of bitcoin?

I think what OP's trying to say is those people who are using bitcoin in an illegal way, like buying illegal drugs, and firearms online---in the deep web. But the scammers can't be called as a criminal, the right term for them is "useless" people, "lazy" people, because that is the only way they know on how to earn money by scamming people, especially the newbie in the crypto world.
Well I don’t agree with the point that the scammers can’t be termed as a criminal. It seems to me like you have a soft corner for the scammers otherwise why someone will pass such remarks. Let me define the word crime for you. Any kind of exploitation to others emotionally, physically or in monitory terms is a crime.

Now according to this definition if a person is lazy or active but if he has harmed and exploited someone he shall be considered as a criminal and should be charged for the crime. If scammers are not criminals then I would say the real life robbers should also not be termed as criminals.

I agree.
They have made their choices and of course they knew what they are doing specially the criminals who are using the internet.
If they are not aware of it then how they did end up having knowledge with the internet.
This scams are planned. They have to do list and step by step programs on how it will be done with almost perfection.
8690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Calling It A Bubble. on: June 06, 2017, 04:54:18 PM
Why call it a bubble if it had not yet exploded.
That moment and after that we can call it a bubble but for now it is just simply a currency which took a hard course and still go way up.
They can call it whatever they want but still this are all just speculation.
If one can tell it is really a bubble then he can show his proofs and people will be the one judging it if it should really be thought like that.
8691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 06, 2017, 06:19:48 AM
That would be a big problem for many investors if a sudden drop will come.
We mighy lose support and we as low amount holders will be the one who is surely affected.
There will be panics and might come to think they should sell just to prevent the zero ROI.
But that will be a long fight before it goes back to that price.
8692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth buying bitcoins now? (2000$ /btc) on: June 06, 2017, 03:39:51 AM
This thread reminds me of previous threads. Is it worth buying bitcoins now at $600, $800, $900, $1000, $1500 and so on... ? wait till it reaches $5k and u will be asking the same question again. Like everyone would say, buy it when u have the extra cash, little by little and hold. It's never too late.

Truth was said.
Doubting it will not make us anything. We cant move forward if we dont buy also or work for it.
It is just the same with gold. Yiu work for cash then buy gold for investment in case it grows in value again.
There will never be a late time or a right time to buy.
You said $2000 here. Now where is it?
8693  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: June 06, 2017, 02:12:07 AM
Correct me if im wrong, you are able to make a few cents with fiat online opportunities, maybe 0,04-0.20 dollars daily with a lot clicks at several websites, you can earn those same value with faucets or something else, the thing is bitcoin and crypto world has changed a lot, nowadays you are able to earn a decent ammount and well scamers still around but you can prevent it before.
That's for sure because the overwhelming price increase of Bitcoin compared to back then. But, as you can see, many of faucets are now dying because they can't afford the expenses of running it. They're having the revenue from the ads but it now only gives them a little amount of BTC, therefore, the only option is to stop their faucets.
Preventing to be scammed is simple, you just need to use escrow, but, you must be careful of virus or ransomware which already spreading around.

As far as I know faucets have cause a lot of traffic in transaction becausr of the direct payments that they did even if they are just dust.
I work for faucet before but ever since they have minimized the paymeny for the users it had been not worth the clicks.
So better do something better than that which eats up a lot of time before you could feel the profit.
Maybe some upgrades could work to make it popular again.
8694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Choose altcoin for trading on: June 05, 2017, 12:15:40 PM
Why would someone want a stable altcoin?  Grin
Every altcoin trader here wouldn't want something that is stable which could lessen their opportunity to make profits because of the movement of it.
Maybe you should diversify, think about altcoin to bitcoin then vice versa to make more money.
8695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have about 50$ where to invest ? on: June 05, 2017, 05:49:06 AM
I think you can start buying a couple of good altcoins and start trading. 50$ though is a conservative amount and most likely your earnings won't that high yet. If you're feeling a bit lucky, try gambling with that amount. Dice would be an easy choice if you want quicker earnings but you might just as well consider that 50$ lost.
I recommend to buy those who are in top 10 in coinscap since they will mostly succeed, but if you want some actions you can diversify your money with different altcoins, day traders do that because they want to see more movement on a daily basis. $50 is not a bad amount to start, in crypto trading is very affordable so we can start with any amount, besides if we are good enough we can easily grow that money.

Altcoins is the answer that is true.
They are cheaper and you will easily deal with it. You can see a lot of movements with just hours of monitoring it.
Somehow you can go with the flow for just seeing how it rises and fall.
Many people have profited from it but be sure you will not be the one to go the other way.
Dont be greedy, take the low profit then start again.
8696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cashing out.... on: June 05, 2017, 01:45:22 AM
Well, no one has ever gone broke from cashing out early.

im sure 10,000 btc for 2 pizzas guy  doesnt feel exactly like that today ........lazlo ,are u still here ?
OMG I can only imagine doing that.  That's something you'd regret for several lifetimes.

I noticed that this thread is months old, and OP made a serious mis-timing mistake cashing out in January.  Way too early to do it, but I suppose if he wasn't comfortable holding...taking a profit isn't a bad idea.

A big face palm after the big rise.  Grin

I guess we need a deeper thinking before doing something which is regrettable in just a few months or maybe even just after weeks.
I am sure he will not buy back at this expensive price now. Too hard to make that decision after you have sold a cheaper one.
8697  Economy / Speculation / Re: can my bitcoin drop to nothing on: June 04, 2017, 05:37:42 PM
It will just be lesser than $40 but not a 0.
It could even go way higher than that. You might want to add more to feel the profit in it.
If you doubt it too much you might make wrong decisions into selling it early or just spending it for gift cards which will most likely make you regret after another wave up comes.
Be wise in making decisions if I were you.
8698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: June 04, 2017, 04:43:40 PM
Is because the name "Bitcoin" is the best name for a crypto-currency.

No other name will be as good.
I think so too, most altcoins are based on Bitcoin rates to determine the value, so it can be said that BTC is the number one in cryptocurrencies, but if Bitcoin does not fix the speed of each transaction and status The current blockchain, it will be difficult for the user

It will really be a problem. Many users would want every transactions to be fast to avoid thinking bad to where their funds got into or will it still come.
Even those who are sending small amount of bitcoin would want their transaction safer and would want it to comes as fast as it can.
Still I think bitcoin is on the number 1 spot because of this alts are using bitcoin as basis for their prices.
8699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: June 04, 2017, 03:22:34 PM
I don't think that Bitcoin can make bank disappear at all. Because right now there are a lot of Banks that are already trusted and also usable to those who have their own company. Because Banks can also do other things than just saving money.

I agree. Bitcoin can not destroy the banks. He can only infiltrate the banking system as an alternative currency.
Yeah this is too impossible to happen at all because banks are not just by helping people saving money but also people can loan in banks, they can also have insurance, car loan or housing loan. Banks has a lot of great things they can do than bitcoin. Some other Banks has already their online banking which people can also use it easily like bitcoin. So Bank is really good that is impossible to disappear.

Yeah they will do that but because there is a purpose for that also.
Income will come to them by those services that is why they are forcing this to other people.
One more problem is we dont even have another choice. They are like the hands of the government to serve people which is actually better for them. This became traditional for people and we cant take it out from the system.
8700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Took just 3 months to double in price. Bubble!!!!! on: June 04, 2017, 03:26:39 AM
Well if this 'bubble pops' and the value crashes, it's buy time for everyone, so another bubble begins  Smiley

True and I think many bitcoin users are ready for that.
Considering there have been a lot of profits from this increase, the capital was already returned and more money to come.
If it is really a bubble that will explode thenusers will be running to buy back.
But in my own speculation I think it will be for a long time. The value will grow more even if it is expensive the demands are still coming.
