8741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 23, 2017, 12:58:50 PM
One-day international series between India and West Indies is really important for both teams, by winning this series India will get a chance to forget about their recent dispute within the team. On the other hand, West Indies also try to make an impact on the cricket world by winning this series. So hopefully it will going to be a competitive series...
I want WI to win the series because it will teach Indians whats the worth of the coach . I am going for WI to win the match @ 4 and WI have the ability to beat India . Hope it will be entertaining .

With their head coach gone, this makes a interesting match, I am bit surprised that they did that, but this normally happens in football when you don't perform, but here you perform and are asked to leave. The WI is a new team but they will be eager to win and I would like them to win it cause that would make me some good amount of money. Let's hope WI fire it up.
8742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2017, 11:30:01 AM
So did he come to personally tell you or his assistant said he doesn't, do you have any proof of this. Well then again, let's say if he does it would he be so stupid enough to come openly and say it? Do you really believe him to be so stupid. These are white collar people, they are smart and I am 100% sure hr would have done it directly or indirectly and no one will ever know that's how they operate.
8743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High school dropout who invested in bitcoin is now a millionaire at 18 on: June 23, 2017, 09:54:44 AM
http://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2017/06/20/bitcoin-millionaire-erik-finman-says-going-to-college-isnt-worth-it.html

Erik invested in bitcoin when he was 12 and not is a millionaire at age of 18.  This is a good story for Bitcoin.

But here is something that I do not understand:

An excerpt from the article:
"Eventually he found a buyer for Botangle's technology in January 2015. The investor offered either $100,000 or 300 bitcoin, which had dropped in value at that time to a little more than $200 a coin. He took the lower cash value bitcoin deal because he believed it was "the next big thing."

"My parents asked 'Why don't you take the more cash?"' Finman explained. "But I thought of it more of an investment.""

Why didn't he take the $100K and bought more bitcoins instead?  Granted that there has to be some tax consideration, but tax rate has to be as high as 40% in order for both of the cash option and the bitcoins option to breakeven.  If the tax rate was at 40%, then he could get $60K after tax and would be able to buy 300 bitcoins at the market price ($200 at the time).  Moreover, one day when he sells the bitcoins, he can dedect $200 on each of the bitcoins from the capital gain as cost.

Am I missing something in here?  Don't drop out from high school?   Cheesy

I don't know what's this guy's education, but in finance world there are two methods which we sell to our clients, either take x Money now or take Defford amount later and that's what he has done, and it's a master stroke, I don't know what he was thinking but he did it brilliantly, and that what matters. I feel this can be used as an example for many to stylish invested in Bitcoins.
8744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India's small merchants accepts bitcoin on: June 23, 2017, 08:51:13 AM
****8****

https://qz.com/1009386/bitcoin-accepted-here-the-tiny-family-restaurant-in-india-thats-embraced-virtual-currency/

The government of India is nearing to accept bitcoin in their country as a mode of payment. With that upcoming adoption small merchants are now thinking to accepts bitcoin as a form of payment in exchange for their goods.

But even without the governments declaration  the Suryawanshi restaurants in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar and Whitefield neighbourhoods  accepts bitcoin as payment. The reason why this small store accepts bitcoin is due to the owner who is a bitcoin enthusiasts and was accepting bitcoins since 2013.

With the governments move, soon many small merchants will be following Suryawanshi's example.

Great to hear this, south India was on my trip list and will make a stop at this hotel to eat and pay here, I actually want to travel the world and Just pay with Bitcoins. If these merchants do accept it, it will help me a lot, send my friends gift from abroad and pay with Bitcoin, it's irritating to pay them via bank transfer and paypal acts weird most of the times. So this is good news for me staying abroad and for my Indian friends when will the confirmation come?
8745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1, Bitcoin will Ends? on: June 23, 2017, 08:43:26 AM
Bitcoin will seperate after august 1?

or

Bitcoin will end?

Some of sites written about this.

Need a Expert opinion or Real news. So waiting....

No Bitcoin will not end, it may just end up splitting if it does or nothing will happen and Bitcoin will continue as it is. If it splits then there will be two Bitcoins on two chains, price will definitely be effected, panic mode will be triggered, oh and most importantly protect your coins, shift them to a wallet that gives you keys. The wallet topic is active here search for it. And don't worry we all will be going through same thing so let's enjoy till we can.
8746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Instability and fluctuations of bitcoin. How dangerous is this? on: June 22, 2017, 11:44:08 AM
BTC

Is this a joke you just make a thread and just put a emoji, have some courtesy and put up a line or two so people will bother to answer you. Is $ full time stable, is euro and other currencies stable, is the stock market guaranteed. Stop making Bitcoin a scrape goat, it is good and be is giving good returns, you should know how to use it rather blame it. Every fluctuations is a earnings opportunity hope you earn good from it.
8747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to buy bitcoin?? on: June 22, 2017, 09:06:14 AM
After seeing some post regarding bitcoin legalized in india (link will be given below)  spreading around facebook and other social media lots of my friends asking about investing in bitcoin is this right time or 1)it may go down till that can we wait and buy  or 2) it will take off booming then we cant touch because of overprice . Please could somebody give clear picture Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

As a Bitcoin community member it is good news, and yesterday only there was a similar thread but no link attached, I am very happy now my Indian friends will be able to buy Bitcoins. Is it the right price, difficult to answer as this is not a official government response, so would suggest you to buy in bits so you don't loose out a lot if price crashes. Say 100$ per day keep on buying at different prices so you can get a average. That's what's I do and I feel safe that way. However I would like to caution you that if in case this news turns falls, Bitcoin prices can crash badly.
8748  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: which is the best? Blockchain or Coinbase. on: June 22, 2017, 09:00:51 AM
Hello guys! which site is the best for using bitcoin. Smiley But i have account in two sites. But i don't know which site is the best. which site you like most. But most time i think Coinbase is the best. Because it has three coins of addresses. Such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and litecoin. Smiley

Blockchain is one of the most highly recommend wallet and many will suggest you to opt for that. While coinbase.com is a exchange and though you can store your coins, they do not provide you your keys, so that's the only issue with coinbase.com however I recently saw they started their vault thing, not used that as it requires me to verify my identity, over all use of coinbase.com is simple but with Aug 1st looming many of us will have to switch away, even if we don't like it.
8749  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 7 NEW GAMES HAVE BEEN ADDED 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 22, 2017, 04:24:56 AM
I think this is real hard for some people to wagered that amount just to hit the jackpot. And I think this is just not simply to grow the jackpot here
0.01 is too big of a wager for a 1.1+ bitcoin jackpot ? I don't think so.If you think it is,you can always go for a lower wager but that would decrease the the value of jackpot right ? Yes it would, because you don't want the best of both the worlds. It is an opportunity to win ,lowering the wager would increase the number of participants and give them equal chances of winning along with the members who have wagered 0.01 btc + .Quite unfair.

So the person wants to get a big jackpot and doesn't want to bet enough to win a huge price, I feel 0.01 is a small price to play for if you want to win big. No risk no gain, you need to respect them that they are organising a fair and simple jackpot for all to claim. I mean who ever gets lucky. I give thumps up to the 0.01 policy.

8751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Garbage, Embrace It on: June 21, 2017, 05:57:23 AM

The article is nice but every one knew all this, it was just that people got blinded by their lust for Altcoin and lost their way and kept saying Bitcoin wasn't nice. Bitcoin is and only coin one should have with him cause at the end of time only Bitcoins will survive. People forget what Bitcoin has done, rather just take a short coming and go berserk, for me there only one love Bitcoin. And this article touches on some very nice points hopefully people will change their views.
8752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money Moving Back into Bitcoin from Alt-Coins on: June 21, 2017, 05:54:01 AM
As a scaling solution has been reached, it looks as if money is finally flowing back into Bitcoin (https://coinmarketcap.com/). There is a clear downwards trend on all of the alt-coin's value graphs, while Bitcoin has a clear spike in recent days.

Thoughts on what this means for bitcoin / alt-coins in general?

At this point all the Bitcoin supporters will say Told you so, I have been personally advocating for only using Bitcoins and nothing else, I had always said they were alts and they would disappoint, many had kept shouting alt would do good but now they all will disappear and only bitcoiners shall stand strong. I am not at all surprised to see this happening, honestly knew it a matter of time before this was to happen. Will once again say stick to Bitcoins only.
8753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins fee's on: June 20, 2017, 12:22:35 PM
On June 13, localbitcoins informed that they will be charging a deposit fee actually. My last deposit there was 2 days ago but I wasn't charged anything so I assume it has begun implementation today as it indicates 19-21 in the email. Outgoing fees are supposed to be less though. Could you share the % of the fee you paid?
Personally, I feel this is a bad move, since we already pay the fees when we deposit, now we are charged on both ends. I don't mind paying fees for withdrawals but I guess they are thinking "hey, we don't get anything from sellers".

This was the first part of the email I received:

Quote
Dear LocalBitcoins customer,

Due to the rising Bitcoin network fees we feel there is a need to revisit the LocalBitcoins transaction fee system. In order divide the costs of handling Bitcoin transactions in a fair manner we are introducing deposit fees for incoming transactions. At the same we will lower Bitcoin sending fees for all customers. The new fee system will be put in to effect around 19th-21st June.

With our old transaction fee system you pay a transaction fee when you send Bitcoins out from LocalBitcoins to a different Bitcoin wallet. This fee covers the cost for us to send your transaction and the costs for us to manage the deposit(s) that we used to send your transaction.

In the Bitcoin network managing deposits uses up a lot of blockchain space while handling a withdrawal uses up much less space. This means that a large part of the old Bitcoin transaction fee was for covering costs related to deposits. This means that customers who make many small deposits to their LocalBitcoins wallet causes the sending transaction fees to rise, and these costs were paid by customers who were sending Bitcoins.

We want to spread these costs more fairly between our customers. By introducing deposit fees customers who make many small deposits will pay a larger share of the overall transaction costs and customers who send out transactions will enjoy lower fees.

All fees will be adjusted dynamically based on how congested the bitcoin network is.

Hmm, I was not aware of such an email but makes sense I guess. I do agree with you that it is a bad move since it makes localbitcoins less attractive from here on out. I'd expect them to earn enough for this to not be needed.

About %: I deposited 0.2 BTC and the fee was 0.0005xxx BTC. That seems a bit excessive if they do go by %. Can't imagine anyone would be willing to deposit several bitcoins and have to pay for the ability to sell other than the fee's LB already takes from the sale.

Ohwell, not much to do I guess.

This is horrible, how can they even do that network fees I understand all the wallets charge and fine we pay it to use Bitcoins lol, but deposit fees is the stupidest thing they will do, there would be so many people who would be unaware and they would be paying them in fees, now they built a brand so now do whatever they want. If you are looking for quick buy and sell then for a while you can use coinbase.com, if you are looking for a wallet take one with private key
8754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: June 20, 2017, 09:48:55 AM
No matter Dice, Casino, Sportbets,
what is your target, x2, x5 ,x10...?

For me / my exp, I am the 1 never withdrawn until I lost
I will cash out if my balance hit 1 BTC......lamo

Being greedy while gambling is fine, but being stupid is not allowed, look if you are true gambler you know, you never stop at one time, you aim to make it continues, and to do that, you need to play, withdraw and continue the process, you can't just keep on l oozing that's wrong strategy, I withdraw at times, and then keep it for another day, so I can bet many times, that's how you roll mate, hope you understand
8755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 20, 2017, 09:29:59 AM
Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.

Yahoo got done cause it never improved, secondly it's marketing was bad. Bitcoin vs alts, look Firstly it's Bitcoins and all others were a copy and they hardly last long, sooner or later they disappear or become extinct, I don't see any threats to Bitcoin in the short or the long term. I would hold my coins for long term and make good money without any worries. Yahoo was always doomed the moment It allowed Google to get away.
8756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on NASDAQ on: June 20, 2017, 09:11:54 AM
Why isnt Bitcoin traded on Nasdaq

Is there a possibility that this will happen down the road?

NASDAQ did you just wake up from a dream? Bitcoin is not a stock or a recognised currency, the SEC had rejected Bitcoin ETF, so how in the world would it be traded out there. It's yet to be recognised by USA and it's best it's kept of NASDAQ, don't want government to control or any other agency to control it that's best for Bitcoins. I am very happy that it's not on NASDAQ and that what keeps it safe.

Bitcoin overflow - what an increase in exchange rate of bitcoin!  Shocked Shocked
Defiling all speculation & Prediction(s)

☞Not subject or control by anyone!  what a virtual currency!
☞Out of control by the chineese miner's

It's current speed per hour exceed that of any sport car (porche or ferrari)

wow

Enjoy the overflow  but, remember to save during this season of overflow because after rain comes sunshine. After harvest comes famine!

Thanks

Nothing like that you don't need to buy an entire Bitcoin to be rich, you can systematically buy bits of it and that's what I have always suggest people to do a what it does is to average out your price. Yes the prices go up and they go down that's when you are supposed to make a purchase that's what a smart investor does, now imagine of you buy through huge price and it crashes then what. So be careful with your investment if you don't understand you will burn
8758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin system collapses in the near future on: June 19, 2017, 11:28:00 AM
As block reward decreases, miners will be dependent on transaction fees to suffice for their electricity costs. By then, if the price of Bitcoin isn't high enough, it will lead to a further reduction as miners abandon their business because of the lack of profit. Thus it could be said that Bitcoin can either do very well or collapse completely in 2140.

Doesn't the Bitcoin system fail in this way or are there any other variables in play that stop such a breakdown?

I don't think the Bitcoin system will ever fail, and 2140 is a very long time to go. I feel instead it shall expand a lot whole more than that, plus the value of Bitcoin shall only go up and up never down. I am 100% sure the miners shall continue to mine their coins and they shall be profitable, no one will give up on a cash making business.
8759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2017 Football Summer Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 19, 2017, 10:28:17 AM
About Ronaldo leaving Real...  There are also other rumors that he's already in talks with a club.  The problem is it's all secret for now.  But I agree with some of the assumptions here.  It could very well be Man United.

If he does move, would Messi start plotting a move in the EPL too?  Pep is waiting.  Grin
it was not very big surprise for Cristiano to be looking for a way out because i think that the reason is more about not having Real Madrid support about this tax fraud allegations.
i remember for those who don't know yet that president of Real Madrid asked to the biggest newspappers in spain and Madrid media (Marca, AS) to not refer Cristiano as Real Madrid player but instead, "portuguese player", also to not use any any Real Madrid jerseys. Also he wanted to leave but his agent Railo told him to stay out and only speak about it after the CL final.

Matca is really awful, lets maybe Zidane will be able to do something, now emotions are playing and press is making money from clicks,i ve been reaing that Ronaldo was asking spanish tax office to review his tax statment does everything is correct. If he will leave Real only one club i see him is Men  United
There will be many things, it can be that, Ronaldo will join a English premier league ,it also may not...so still there Is any chance to happen many occurrence.some time a rumor will become a true story, so let's see what is happening there....
But definitely Real Madrid will try their best to keep Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Morata if zidane wants...

i don't expect to see him back at United as his Relationship with Mourinho is still rocky also Mourinho don't like signing up players that got past 30 exept few that joined for free like Zlatan this season and Drogba when he returned to Chelsea by that don't think that he will go to any other PL team like Man City or Chelsea and only PSG have the ressouces to sign him for an European team and it is very early for him to Join the MLS or the Chinese league so i expect either he find a solution and stays or leave for PSG.

There are players who get better when they age, and Ronaldo is an example of such players, he is going to be a big influence in Manchester United should he move back again. His relationship with Mourinho isn't a big deal at all.

They should break the bank and get Ronaldo cause what ever they invest in him, they will instantly recover his Jersey, his image rights, get a new deal from sponsorship, increase match prices and so on. Plus he shall guarantee 35 - 40 goals what else do we need. He has Pl experience and loves Manchester United and will do everything to make us win every thing, only thing that concerns me is, what if it's a ploy to get Madrid pay his penalty and get a huge new contract and how will he work with Jose, we all surely remember what happened last time.
