8762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can you trade forex without technical analysis? on: October 05, 2016, 12:11:47 PM
Trading forex can be narrow than to two forces that drive a single vehicle. Most time after analysing the market technically and a trade is sure that market trend has hit the support or resistance level or breakout has taken place, the candlestick also has signal you to enter buy or sell then you see that the trade go against that signal due to news or fundamental issue. My question is this, can we really depend on technical analysis in trading decision?

Technical analysis is important, but you need something more in order to be

a good trader.

We depend on technical analysis and a few other important factors plus luck.
8763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop fuckin' around, fork the son-of-a-bitch already. on: October 05, 2016, 11:34:26 AM
Hard forks are good.  Stop crying.  They allow two discrete paths to flourish and see which works best.  Too freaking bad if some of your juice gets stuck on the 'bad' chain.  On fork day, you've got equal action on both chains.  Make good decisions thereafter.  No harm, no foul.

Let's do it NOW!!!!

Fork it already.

Who`s crying?I don`t understand.

Are there people who complain about the hard fork?

What`s the point of this thread?
8764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: October 05, 2016, 11:31:54 AM
Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin.
No one will offer services for Bitcoin.
Spend Your Bitcoins.

You are right, but everyone is free to choose wether or not to spend or hold his bitcoins.

We need safer places where we can spend our bitcoins and get goods and services without being

scammed.
8765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Brave' browser starts paying bitcoins on: October 05, 2016, 05:46:43 AM

https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2016/10/04/brave-browser-starts-paying-bitcoins-to-adblocked-sites/

Quote
An integrated Bitcoin payment system will handle payments, putting bitcoins into your wallet if you’ve agreed to see ads and taking them out if you’ve opted to have them blocked.

The fees Brave Software takes in from advertisers will go into one pot. The publishers get the lion’s share – 55% – weighted by how many ad impressions are served on their sites.

What’s left over gets divvied up between Brave, its ad-matching partners, and the users, with each getting 15%.

If users don’t opt to take their 15%, then the publishers will get 70%.

Anyone using Brave and can verify this? Have they indeed started paying users, or publishers only? I only use android version, which doesn't yet support btc payments.

I`ve never  heard of this brave browser and i will never use it.

Is it better than Firefox or chrome?

It`s good that they adopt bitcoin, but they aren`t very popular.
8766  Other / Off-topic / Re: What did you already bought with Bitcoin? on: October 05, 2016, 05:43:38 AM

I`m afraid of scammers, becasue btc is irreversible.

Can you really buy sim cards with btc?
8767  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoin P2P lending is dead? on: October 04, 2016, 12:00:28 PM
As we know, bitcoin P2P used to be great, people could lend their money with low risks.
These days, people hates it because there's many scammer around even there's reputation system, identity verification and collateral as well.

So, do you think bitcoin P2P lending is dead? I think it's pretty dead and i hope people stop use this till there's effective way to prevent scammer.

First,the risks aren`t low.They are always high,when it comes to P2P lending.

Maybe P2P lending still works for micro loans, not for the big loans.

It`s a good business idea, but scammers will always try to ruin every good business.

8769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are the innovation to promote Bitcoin? on: October 04, 2016, 06:08:39 AM
A few years ago, this forum was as busy as a Bee, with people trying to promote Bitcoin. The price was close to $1000 and people were

dishing out give-aways and doing treasure hunts and Puzzles.. and everyone had loads of fun. Lately, we only see Ponzi schemes and

cloud mining and people trying to take money from other people. Let's see some tipping on forums and Bitcoin Air drops and some active

Bitcoin promotion again, to increase adoption. Let's bring back the good ole days!  Roll Eyes

There`s no point of promoting bitcoin here, because this is a bitcoin forum. Grin

We should promote bitcoin on social media, youtube and blogs.

Promotion requires investing money and efforts.
8770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You accidentally find Satoshi.....What would you do? on: October 04, 2016, 06:05:39 AM
Satoshi is a real person. He is probably in his early forties. The problem with being an innovative thinker and filthy rich is that you get bored unless you're keeping yourself busy.

So, he is likely to be working somewhere in the technology world.

What if you accidentally figure out the guy you've been working with (sitting next to, is a customer, is a consultant, is your client, etc) is actually Satoshi.

What would you do?

Satoshi is hiding somewhere in the Australian desert, so there`s no way for me to find him. Grin

I would be very happy if i find him,but there`s no way.
8771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Separate Computer for Bitcoin/Financial Information vs Personal? on: October 04, 2016, 06:02:57 AM
I have a laptop that i do everything on.  Basically use it for anything financial related such as bank accounts, electrum wallet, bitcoin wallet etc.  I stream youtube, watch sites etc so far with no issue.  My issue though is i like to watch porn.  Now i do watch porn through those streaming sites like xvideos, porhhub etc which doesn't seem to give me any issues.

The other thing though is i like to download porn from sites online.  Reason is because these videos you cannot stream it through pornhub, xvideo etc.  The other thing is i like to click on preview images of porn pictures.  I always done this without any issue.  But i was told that clicking on links are not really safe since a porn link for an image could cause a virus.

Basically the big main sites.  I was told in those forums... links for porns and images are usually very safe as long as the posters who posted it are long time posters and have a lot of likes by other members.  I believe they said a lot of these links are looked at by the site in case there is a virus, it would get deleted.  Of course someone who posted the video that is safe could later edit it etc.

I assume anyone here that has a laptop that does that bitcoin and financial information... you have separate computer for that... and one for your porn and other stuff?  By other stuff that means like downloading torrents etc.  I read someone mentioned that he downloaded some video game that was pirated and all his bitcoins got lost because of that.  That the uploader put a trojan/virus etc.  I don't download any torrents at all.  I do however like to download porn videos from depositfiles, rapidshare etc.  I also do make sure those posters are long time posters.  But i also like to download certain videos in another forums where even though they maybe long term posters, i dont know if videos are safe or not.   I have so far when downloaded those videos... haven't had an issue in a while with my laptop due to this.  Such that i use it for banking with no issue.

But i have not done this with a bitcoin wallet on my computer.  Does anyone here have advice on this?  I'm sure many of you like to download porn, click on images whether its porn or something else or download torrents etc.  Is it always a bad idea if you do this on your laptop where you have bitcoins stored?   I read any exe file is very bad.  Then again how would i even know a file is exe.  Couldnt it be another file but its really exe?

Also if this thread is not put in the right subforum, can it be put in the correct subforum?  I believe it does belong on bitcoin discussion though.

Just install a good anti-virus program and check your PC more often.

You can use a virtual machine or a sandboxed browser.Just doenlaod and install Sandboxie.

Bitcoin related malware can be really nasty.
8772  Economy / Economics / Re: Value-added tax on loans/interests? on: October 02, 2016, 06:21:46 AM
What do you think?

And what`s the point of a value-added tax over loans/interests?

The loans will become more  expensive and this will hit the economic growth.

The economy needs cheap loans in order to maintain growth.
8773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is where any way to exchange USD to Bitcoins without huge % on: October 02, 2016, 06:17:19 AM
Hello,

Excuse me to this topic, I am newbee.., but wanted to have some Bitcoins for my projects.

I looked for a tons of exchange services, but need to pay about 3-4% extra to buy Bitcoins.

Is where any ways not to pay extra percents for exchange from USD to Bitcoins? Or to pay only 1-1.5%...

Thanks
Tarska.

There`s no way to avoid high fees when you buy bitcoins online.

Maybe find an offline trader who is willing to trade bitcoins in person.

It` s just a suggestion. The risk is still very high.
8774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UN taking control of the Internet on: October 02, 2016, 06:13:45 AM
Will this affect bitcoin ?

discus

Nobody can take control over the internet. It`s too expensive.

This won`t affect bitcoin in any way.

Who cares about UN?
8775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do exchanges manipulate order books, add fake transactions? on: October 01, 2016, 01:29:20 PM
How do I know, all orders in the order books are real?

The one who owns server server could easily add some fake orders. As well as add some transactions under last transactions that did not actually happen.

Why? To manipulate the market. To cause artificial pumps. They can buy any time and cause a pump anytime. Then dump for profit. I guess, this works best with smaller capitalized coins? (With big coins, I suppose, if there are at least a legit exchanges, few people would fall for the fake pump.)

This should be very tempting for the owners of an exchange since it's low risk and kinda a money printing machine?

Let's take for example yobit. No names. No faces. I have no way to verify their identity. If I had coins there and they run, I had probably no legal means either?

All the cryptocurrency exchanges are out of regulation and nobody controlls them.

This is a huge risk for all the people with btc deposits. Sad

I wish there was a way to make those exchange platforms more transparent.
8776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sacrifice privacy for Ease of Use and better features than Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2016, 01:25:01 PM
I see more and more Alt coins and also Blockchain based technologies being developed, where privacy is destroyed to make room for

better features { Faster confirmation for transactions & user-friendly GUI } We need to consider if we value privacy {pseudo anonymity}

over better features in the future.

The attack angle from these competing technologies seem to be speed and ease of use. Will you dump Bitcoin for improved features in

other technologies and in the process sacrifice the financial privacy you have with Bitcoin?

Just curious how you see this, and what you will do, when these technologies hit the scene. They are currently a bit behind, but they are

catching up VERY fast.  Huh

No, i won`t dump bitcoin for that.

The good thing about cryptocurrencies is that you have choice.

You can choose a more anonymous altcoin or an altcoin with less privacy but other good features.
8777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: October 01, 2016, 01:22:06 PM
You are probably aware of the recent news about removing the fiat money for good and building up the cashless world.

Have you thought that bitcoin maybe the first step of this utopia? What if CIA behind this project? Would you still keep your money as bitcoins? Would you trust them? Do we know who the hell is Satoshi Nakamoto? I suure don't.

There is one big danger ahead. If the paper money gets removed, you will have no choice but to accept to get paid in crypto currencies. And to the big point:

If you keep your money in a goddamn computer, the government can rip you off instantly if they wanted it. I am not saying they aren't doing that already as most of us are keeping *our wealth in the banks. But cryptos will make their jobs easier. Much easier.

What if bitcoin price rises to 1.000.000$ and gold and USD become literally worthless? That's when bitcoin will be the world currency, and people gonna realise that gold is just a stone, USD is just a toilet paper.

Your won't have another choice but to store your money only in crypto, because the other choices will be worthless!

I am not sure if that's a good thing. Being dependent so much on computers just scares me.

Yes,the gold is just a stone,USD is just toilet paper and bitcoin is just a bunch of programming code. Grin

People`s trust determines the value of a currency.

The "cashless world" utopia won`t happen soon and there is nothing to worry about.
8778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here we go... Major VR porn sites accept Bitcoins next to Paypal on: October 01, 2016, 05:42:24 AM
A simple comparison site shows it http://www.vrporncount.com/#bitcoin

What didn't work for conventional porn, works great for innovation  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is perfect for online gambling and online porn.

It`s good that porn sites adopt bitcoins as a payment method.

This will make bitcoin stronger. The online adult industry is huge. Smiley
8779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Websites powered by bitcoin mining on: October 01, 2016, 05:39:17 AM

I was just thinking that some websites should be powered by bitcoin mining. Like wikileaks for example. Because having bitcoin donations is inconsistent and the people who get those donations are just going to exchange them as soon as they can for regular money. But if the site was powered by bitcoin mining then it would give them a constant consistent income stream witch they are probably more likely to find something to do with rather then just exchange.

I was thinking of setting up a bitcoin mining account and locking the payment address to the wikileaks donation address. And then they could put up even a metric on their site showing the mining power pointed at them. It would be a way to power what they are doing and also show the faith people have in websites by the amount of power pointed at them.

I was wondering if anyone had any old mining equipment they would be willing use as a test for this?

So, you have $1600, and you have a choice.  You can send the charity or website $1600, or you can buy a bitcoin miner and mine $1000 worth of bitcoin for the website.

"Wouldn't it be better to just give them the $1600 directly right away?  Rather than making them wait to receive only $1000 in small increments over a period of a few years?"

Right in that scenario I'm with you. However, think about it like this instead. Let's say you buy a simple miner for 200 bucks off ebay and you point it at wikileaks. Then you find out they are doing something wrong that you don't like. You turn off your miner. Or think about it like this maybe they have many different mining addresses and you chose to mine on the stories that you think are the most important. And give them your vote on what they need to work on. This way for the next 5 years you can use your power and your skill to help power something you believe in and if at any time you feel that it's not going the right way you move your mining power to where it matters. And then imagine your example you send them 300 bucks and it's gone they decide to close up shop and leave? They decide that they are going to change their mission and only cover stories that relate to whatever is funny? Your money is gone you have no say... What do you choose?

Also consider how many people have mining equipment that isn't "profitable" anymore in regards to making money but still would be great for charity?

I don`t understand your idea.

Even if you mine btc and donate them, you will still have to pay for electricity.

You will lose more,if you mine bitcoins and donate them, instead of just donating btc that you already have.
8780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone reading this right now will be dead before Bitcoin dies on: October 01, 2016, 05:35:07 AM
Sorry to tell you, but for all those people asking "when Bitcoin is going to die" or "Bitcoin will be alive in 100 years?" or "will it be replaced by an alt?" need to realize that Bitcoin will have a lifespan longer than everyone in here combined. Bitcoin will keep evolving and adapting and going beyond all its struggles, and it will become the currency of the universe. Bitcoin will be the currency used in the first planet that we colonize to transact with us, and from there sky is the limit, it will spread across the universe as the human race spreads colonizing other planets. Bitcoin will be the de-facto trans-planetary currency, the universal mean of exchange thanks to it being based in math. We will find ways to launch nodes in space, we will find a way to connect everything into the same interplanetary economy. In the year 100.000, lots of humans will live in tons of different planets and we will have ways to send and receive Bitcoin from planet to planet across the galaxy.

We are the pioneers of the universal currency, so you should feel happy about that.

Wow,i`m not sure that we will use bitcoin when  we start colonizing other planets.

Year 100.000?Are you sure that the human kind will survive till then? Grin

Maybe we will use bitcoin to trade with the aliens. Wink
