881  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: Write my resume for me (10-20BTC) on: June 02, 2011, 01:08:33 AM
I have never had to write a real resume.  I joined the Navy young and left the Navy for a programming job that was created for me because the CTO was happy with some contract work I did.  Every job I've ever had was due to filling out an application (McDonald's when I was young) or due to personal connections.

Now that the company has been bought, sold, and merged a couple times the new owners have decided to lay off all the US based developers (including me).  That puts me in job search mode.

However everyone wants to see a resume and I understand why but I'd prefer to write code than a resume.  If you're good at writing resumes, maybe we can help each other out.

I envision that you and I would have one or more phone calls where we discuss what I've done, what I'm good at, etc and you write my resume.  I will pay you in BTC (or PayPal).  We both win. Smiley

With 1 BTC at about $8 - $9 right now, I'm offering 10-20 BTC depending on how overwhelmed I am with your product.

Jere

Jere, maybe you can post your job on this website: https://workforbitcoin.com. It's convenient to manage your job and since it has integrated escrow service, it makes your payment safer.

I integrating an escrow service would be a great idea. Smiley

OK, now, I'm working very hard on it.

After a few days hard working, I just finished the escrow functionality. Also, a easy-to-use project management interface is built. To make the website more secure, HTTPS is adopted.

Currently, the 1% escrow fee is deduced from the transaction for website maintaining and bitcoin transaction fee covering. If you guys think this is too high, I'll consider lowering it. But since all the bitcoin withdrawal transaction fee is paid by the website, users can withdraw any amount of money whenever they want. Thus it's unlikely that the escrow service will be totally free.

Please help me to introduce it to your friends or colleagues.  Cheesy

Thanks RylandAlmanza.

Do you guys think that an escrow service is necessary or not, so the payment of a project looks more secure.

Hi! Welcome to Bitcoin. Tell us a little about yourself. Smiley

Wow, this makes me a little scared Tongue. I was just involved in bitcoin a few days ago. The idea of bitcoin astonished me so much. It's incredibly convenient and cheap to use. It's fast, and there is no expensive global transfer fee and the funding is untraceable. Bitcoin is such an amazingly ideal payment tool for freelancers. So, making a new freelance website based on bitcoin will probably make our life easier.

Hi guys,

I just created a website for exchanging freelance job information. Some basic functions are there. It's pretty easy to use. Maybe in the future, I'll add escrow and rating functionalities to it.  Nevertheless, I'll keep it as free as possible, since freedom is what bitcoin gives to us, and we all like it!
