You guys need to get off Coinium, it has like 65% of the hash. Collectively, your greed is going to cause a fork, and the we'll all be out.

SPREAD OUT.

What if we already belonged to Coinium? It's just that we went to mine other coins then later came back. Would it cause a problem?
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eSportsMoney [ESM]: The Currency of eSports! ZERO PREMINE on: January 07, 2014, 05:48:27 AM
After we get a second pool up and I have a few days to mine some of them sweet eSports Monies I'll be looking into a bounty for a block explorer. Once we get that I'll be working on the future of eSportsMoney! By the way, the character on our logo is SirScoots, you can find him on Twitter @sirscoots. He's a very long time member of the competitive gaming community and is a well known personality. He is also the former Chief Operating Officer of team Evil Geniuses (hands down the most valuable North American progaming team). He agreed to be the man on the eSportsMoney!
That dirty money.

I hope you've checked out the Church of Taeja.

The first pool is live! For the people!

http://198.53.169.220:4000/

And it looks like we've found a block already! Nice Tongue

I'm the pool operator just so you guys know.. It's my first public pool, so I'm not going to advertise it too hard just yet until I'm happy with how it's running.

If you have any issues, contact me here, via PM, or I'm also hanging out in #digipools on freenode.

Cheers, and hope the pool works well for you!

Seems to be working. Hopefully I can mine this in the long run! Let's see how well it does in the short term!

I still can't get it to solo mine @mackcowanii. Any ideas?
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is it better to solo mine than to be in a pool? on: January 07, 2014, 01:11:10 AM
Is there a guide on solo mine? I can't get solo mining esportsmonies to work even though I followed a guide..

Nope not working... This is my arguments in the .bat file

D:\Cryptocurriencies\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:29334 -u geokilla.1 -p 1234 -thread-concurrency 16320 -I 17 -g 1 -w 256

Is that username and password what you have set in your esportsmoney.conf file? Did you make a shortcut to esportsmoney's wallet and add -server to the end of the target line?

I edited my previous post. Yep it is. Here's my updated esportsmoney.conf:

Code:
server=1
rpcuser=geokilla.1
rpcpassword=1234
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=29334
daemon=1
gen=0
maxconnections=50

addnode=162.243.198.168

And the esportsmoney.bat:

Code:
D:\Cryptocurriencies\cgminer\cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:29334 -u geokilla.1 -p 1234 -thread-concurrency 16320 -I 17 -g 1 -w 256

I got the desktop shortcut too with -server at the end of the target line.

How do I mine this? I've only mined from a pool before. Never by myself.

First you need to make sure you have the esportsmoney.conf properly setup. Then, you create a shortcut to your eSportsMoney client with -server added to the end of the target. Launch eSportsMoney through this shortcut and wait for it to sync. Then point your mining hardware at yourself (127.0.0.1: 29334) and use the username and password listed in your esportsmoney.conf file. You can tell if its working correctly because it will stop working if you close the client.
Is this a valid guide to try and follow? http://cryptocur.com/litecoin/litecoin-ltc-gpu-mining/

I noticed it doesn't have the add node in that guide.

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 05, 2014, 09:19:47 PM
Why the fork?

All I have to do is unzip the QT client right? And replace all old files with new one?
maybe check in the dogecoin thread for some information.
Only 482 pages to go through... Luckily I found this.

Anyone have the new Catcoin-QT client for Windows? I only have the old one. Desperately need the new one.

Is it not in the first post? Has it not been compiled yet?
I don't see it. I only see the client which requires installation and setup. I never install them as I only use the standalone ones.
il'll just leave that here
