882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yet another Defi platform got hacked again on: November 14, 2020, 01:41:19 AM
Akropolis released an open letter to the hackers;
- https://medium.com/@akropolisio/open-letter-to-akropolis-delphi-hacker-91e883667cc

Quote
We would like to propose that you return the funds of our community members within 48 hours and in return we will offer a $200,000 USD bug bounty. We will take measures to protect your identity as required.
If you decide not to cooperate we will pursue criminal action and contact law enforcement.

They've admitted the hacks, the security is not really safe on this defi platform systems. Good thing they have a plan to compensate their user's funds but this doesn't get rid the fact that they are prone to hacks and their reputation changed suddenly because of this incident. Defi projects like this loan/trading platforms are still new however giving most of the users now the doubt because they had the weak security that a decentralized finance should have strong guaranteed about it's security because they are handling finances.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOUC a good example of project recovering from dump because of it's potential on: November 13, 2020, 09:47:38 AM
Dont blame it all ito the bounty hunters. Teams also holding that coin since it was launched and I believe they are holding much than bounty hunters. Actually, if we can see this from coinmarketcap.

The ATH was two months ago, and it hardly go back to that price and 6 days ago it was down so much. I can't say YOUC can become a potential altcoin as the progress not that good and ranked 3018 atm in CMC.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 13, 2020, 07:52:50 AM
Those who have been in crypto industry for a long time already know how and when to sell their altcoins off. Dump times means an opportunity to buy more but newbies or even some were regretting after selling their altcoins because they were carried away by panic selling.

  A wise altcoin holder will make a target profit and a target price before selling their altcoins, if not, holding it one of the alternative way to still make.
885  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 04:26:49 AM
Many reasons why bitcoin price rally and very bullish. Defi of course is one of the reason. If you notice, after the paypal announcement the price of btc suddenly rises and it is steady at this price preparing for another bull run. Those you have stated here were possibly the reasons why btc is still bullish but to point out some which I've read in here that Increased Institutional Participation is one of the reason, too why it is bullish.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: November 13, 2020, 02:24:17 AM
There are actually online casinos that requires you to deposit first before withdrawing your wins.
 As for riobet, they have actually a Curacao Licensed, a permit in a gambling house which I always look for a particular gambling site. But what I don't like in their site is the informations we need to submit in registration;

887  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ABS CBN Youtube account Hacked (Ripple scam giveaway) on: November 12, 2020, 12:48:31 PM

888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin countries: top hotspots that use BTC on: November 12, 2020, 07:27:04 AM
Im aware that our country in Asia (preferably Philippines) aren't yet btc hotspot. Bitcoin ATMs here aren't that widely spread and less than 10 were just put up in few cities. Also, there areany rural areas here that wasn't reach new technology like this of blockchain tech.

Had a chance to visit the link. Nice to see countries who are very pro bitcoin which started the massive adoption already.
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be hitting to $35000 soon - Buy it today!! on: November 12, 2020, 05:06:56 AM
And how accurate is that of your signal? Eventually, if you can show us some of your prediction charts, TA's then we may believe bitcoin will touch $35k as you've said. But soon? Nah, we aren't yet reach the $20k price. These steady market will either boom or the opposite.

Op has the same prediction with this one on this site;
- https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-options-traders-bet-the-price-of-btc-can-touch-36k-by-december/

890  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Rates on: November 12, 2020, 03:36:35 AM
I know this will depend on where you are, but where do you get the best rate for buying and selling bitcoin?

I take it pure peer to peer would be the best.

In general, are places like localbitcoin better than the large exchanges like Coinbase?

We have local exchange wallet that I usually buy, sell and store my btc. It was certified by BSP (Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas) and one of the trusted crypto wallet in our country. Though I also consider peer to peer but just to those trusted and whom I know so i won't get scam if ever.

Coinbase or other big exchange can also be one good choice for buying and selling. Of course fees, kyc are needed but you can actually buy and sell with those reputable crypto exchanges without a problem.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin? on: November 12, 2020, 02:11:10 AM
I think I've read the difference of these two before but just wasn't paying attention that much because as I was typing small letter "b" in my keyboard. Anyway, it wasnt that an issue or a problem if most of us here uses the capital or small letter b/B as long as we understand each of the one's statement, right?
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UPS AND DOWNS IN BOUNTY ACTIVITIES on: November 11, 2020, 10:05:28 AM
Airdrops today aren't that profitable as those airdrops before. Aside from that field, focusing on other passive income should be considered. Or, perhaps building their account's reputation and prioritize for ranking up here in forum so newbies will be able to join some signature campaigns in the future.

I believe newbies are smarter nowadays, this forum provides necessary information and guides that are useful. I'm not discouraging them to join some bounty projects, but if they can level up and improves their ability, there are other ways of finding new projects that deserves their effort and time. Just make sure they join in some legit ones.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stanley Druckenmiller: another billionaire sees bitcoin as store of value on: November 11, 2020, 06:57:56 AM
Not only him who can see bitcoin as a store value. But the fact that he is one of the billionare  man who gives optimistic comments about bitcoin brcause he himself own bitcoins, can eventually influence other by investing into it. Another big btc enthusiast who believes btc can be a store value of asset like gold.

Frankly, if the gold bet works, the bitcoin bet will probably work better because it’s thinner, more illiquid and has a lot more beta to it.

 He owns more gold than btc but he believes btc can even do better. Hmn, another bitcoin whale?
894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the difference between TA and FA? on: November 11, 2020, 04:21:45 AM
FA = News, events etc.
 TA = Indicators

 Yep, that's how it can easily be explained. Others might be confused about the difference between the two [FA and TA] . Lemme add that Fundamental analysis is theoritical that we may see it's intrinsic value and Technical analysis is practical. But if we incorporate these two tools in our trading activity, as long as we know how to use those then we can probably benefit from it.
895  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: My Plan if ever happens again ATH on: November 11, 2020, 02:15:40 AM
Sa akin continue lang ang accumulate kahit pa sats sats lang, konting kita sa signature campaign, konting panalo sa sugal hehehe and then sa trading.

 Pareho tayo, bro. Since 2018 pa ako nag iipon at naghohold.

896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will crypto behave during a Biden presidency? on: November 11, 2020, 12:24:26 AM
This makes me wonder how will a Biden presidency impact crypto? Will crypto continue to soar towards new heights? Do you think that a Democratic administration will be much more friendly towards the crypto/Blockchain industry in general?

Well, it's too early to speculate how these Biden presidency will give a good or bad impact in the crypto space. However, he already stated that he is open about bitcoin and I think this democratic administration will be going to open more opportunities through considering the use of blockchain tech or crypo itself.

While, Trump expressed his feeling from the beginning that he is not a pro bitcoiner but later on he changed his mind about it. As I can see it, Biden  is going to make a good shape in crypto regulations that eventually make a strong impact for crypto industry in the future.

But, his tweet after the hack incident in his twitter make crypto users doubt about him with cryptocurrency.

897  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ABS-CBN & ANC channel got hacked and terminated for live streaming crypto scams on: November 10, 2020, 08:53:08 AM

But anyway, they are back now. Happy to know na nakabalik sila after few days of being terminated.
898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways to get Bitcoin/ETH under 18/ trade. on: November 10, 2020, 06:21:27 AM
If you are really sure and knows all the risks of investing in cryptocurrency then you can just wait paypal to accept buying and selling bitcoin. You said you have your credit card under your parent's name, perhaps after paypal launched their new protocol, you can connect your credit card to paypal and you can easily buy and own bitcoin.

Or, if you can't find exchanges that has no kyc required  (which I doubt because there are existing exchanges that has no kyc), you can just convince your parents to create an account under their name and do the kyc to start making transactions. But make sure to have your own wallet/exchange under your name if you reach your legal age. Few more suggestion was to buy to any trusted person you know so you can still own btc.

 There are so many ways, mate. As long as you are aware all the possible disadvantage/advantage of this volatile market in crypto industry.
