When i have a multiaccount with 2 other cosignatory and 1 account will be hacked, then my nemcoins are not available for me and i loose them right?

You can remove the third (hacked) one with the 2 other signatures. So the hacked one doesn't have access anymore. Your account would then become a 2 out of 2 instead of a 3 out of 3.
Problem with 2 out of 2 is that each signatorie can remove the other one.

http://nembex.nem.ninja/#nodes on this website a person can see a node's height, but next to the block they are at there is a number like (620/649).  What do those numbers mean?

And what operating system is a girl near node version? An why? Smiley

I think that's a special for Alice nodes Smiley

Nembex checks if your node is actually reachable. My guess is that those are the number of successfull requests out of all requests.
So in this case 620 out of 649 requests were successfull.

Does the Feb 26th deadline apply only to NEMstakes that are on the NXT asset exchange?

2/26 is also the deadline for Phase 2 redemption for BTT users.

Is NEM already launched?

no not yet. redemption for AE stakes will be coming to a close first (on the 26th, stakes become worthless after that date.) and then launch will come after that. not sure how long after though.
And  BTT stakes, Is it become worthless eithe after the date?

No, the BTT stakes will have 2 months in the extended redemption period, which will be announced later.

I'm confused.  question:
1. "the Feb 26th,the deadline",is there anybody tell us more authority and right;
2.before the deadline ,what must we do?

1. Makoto is a core dev. How much authority do you need ? (and since you don't seem to know a lot about the project, how would you know who has authority?)

2. You should have followed https://forum.nemcoin.com/nem-news-alerts/updated-redemption-guide/
My guess is you missed phase 1. If that's the case then there is nothing you can do other than wait for instructions regarding the extended redemption period after launch.

How about portable version NEM client? Smiley

Portable soft run from cloud services.

The Standalone is portable.
Not sure what you mean by "run from cloud services".

two ignores in one day!  this is fun Smiley

I was very suprised by how well the function works at first too but the bigger your list gets the more worthless it becomes. People keep quoting the ones on your ignore list and you still have to read all the crap.

Nem Newsletter 9 is out.

http://bit.ly/1EgsiZu

please tweet it and share on social media etc. Smiley

This is not the latest newsletter and afaik newsletter #9 has not been released yet. I think you got confused because someone posted a reply to the thread for newsletter #8 on the official NEM forums but that was a reply to a post made by makoto on January 6 so this is over a month old now.

not sure about your first question, but for your second, do you mean how much would it cost to buy some nemstake? lowest sell order currently is about 54k nxt... highest buy = 44k nxt or there abouts. all 0.1 orders mostly so there is slippage either way...

I think he means where the funds from the buy in can be viewed.
It's in gimres signature: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.msg10475797#msg10475797

Hello devs,

i redeem 3 nemstakes last year and buy some new tokens on AE. Can i redeem this tokens also with the same real NEM Adress or i need a new adress?

You can use the same real NEM address.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 15, 2015, 05:22:55 PM
That's it. Feb 26th. Last day to redeem.

No more screwing around folks, lets get this show on the road!

For what its worth, my core being trusts you guys, I think at the end of the day you are actually trying to do good work to benefit mankind instead of just being another band of cheesy profiteers.

So please prove my instincts right and keep the launch date firm! The first NEM release doesn't have to be perfect! As we all know, bitcoin is still far from perfect, yet it exists, it serves a utilitarian function and has value.

Just please quell the fears of (at least) 100 people I am speaking for, a silent majority of sorts, who wants to see this thing become REAL. Screw the exchanges and multisig and whatever else may be holding you guys up. Just get er out there so we know we haven't been long-conned.

Does that make sense to anybody else other than me? Buenos Noches y gracias,

Nutildah el Hambriento, Conquistador del bufés

if nem never launched, i think the only ones that would be long conned would be the devs and anyone who has put any amount of effort in to make nem better. these people would be long conned out of all the work they have put in. so if anyone is at risk of being long conned, its the dev team et al but they would essentially be conning themselves lol no one has actually had a single penny put into their own pockets.

"For what its worth, my core being trusts you guys, I think at the end of the day you are actually trying to do good work to benefit mankind instead of just being another band of cheesy profiteers."

that is exactly what everyone is trying to do. if Nem was just a profit making racket, it would have launched back in july/august, possibly sooner, but that is not the case. much work has been put into nem, it would be an awful shame to see all that effort go to waste due to launching too early. im perfectly ok with nem taking as long as it needs to. of course it would be nice to launch sooner, but id rather not rush things and be sure that its not going to all go up in a pile of flames.

If this coin doesn't launch by March 17th, I am going to go out on a limb and say there is no way to know if anyone got conned, because who knows how many stakes the developers potentially have, but I think at that point this "movement" will be too late. We see other coins very similar to NEM that are doing quite well. (Yeah yeah I know NEM is soooo different because of ______) I really think the "New-Great Technology" scheme we got going here with NEM is leaving the dock as we speak. We just might miss the ride.

Show me those coins and also please define "doing well".
Also I don't mean to offend you but the first sentence is just absurd. You're telling me you can name the exact day it will be too late ? Smiley
Better mark my calender - March 18th = a big red skull.

I'll tell you when it's too late. It's too late for other crypto if any given crypto has reached mass adoption. Until then it's anybodys game.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 14, 2015, 06:07:16 PM
How could 1 person destroy a coin?

By being so obnoxious it was hard for even supporters to keep going to the thread. When we needed developers he scared them off. great job. Plus I'm pretty sure he is a NXT boy trying to scare any nxt like coins away.

You're kidding right ? Do you honestly believe that the dev got scared off ? I have no idea why qora is MIA but I'm pretty sure he wasn't scarred off by someone posting in the qora thread.

Because I see some red letters

That just a new service. Dumb posts contain them now so you can spot them easier.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 14, 2015, 11:38:51 AM
I still don't understand how NODE can speak of "50 confirmations within a second" (see whitepaper). As I understand it, they use the term "confirmations" in another way as it is usually used in a blockchain context.
For NODE 50 confirmations seems to mean: 50 p2p nodes confirmed the transaction as valid.
Usually 50 confirmations mean: The complete p2p network confirmed 50 times (with a progress of 50 blocks) that the blockchain is still valid - implying that the given transaction is confirmed not only by 50 nodes but by the whole p2p network 50 times.

That is a huge difference and if I am right with this interpretation, NODE is using the term misleading.

But anyway, I suggest to discuss the details of NODE's features in their thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590421.new;topicseen#new

Yes, that's how they use the term. However they are using it that way because they truly think that in their system one node confirming a tx is as good as 1 block confirmation in common blockchain systems.

Like I said though...not much known about how they wanna do it.
First they said it was a fully connected net. Then they were talking about neural networks and recently it started to look a little like a system with masternodes.

We'll only see how and if it really works when they disclose the necessary information.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 14, 2015, 09:52:45 AM
almost all networks show the transaction in a few seconds.  but then there is the matter of when it actually clears a few blocks.  NEM transactions too often will show up in 1-2 seconds, but our block time is 1 minute.  Node's block time too is listed as 60 seconds on their announcement page. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590421.0

furthermore, if you want to spend the XEM that somebody sent you, you need only wait for the first block confirmation.  in Node you have to wait more than that, so in Node, it isn't really your money to spend until a longer time has passed.

Not according to what the NODE dev is saying / planning. Not much info on how it's actually achieved though.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 14, 2015, 09:51:46 AM
These are a selection of complaints I have seen on BTT from random sources (not necessarily my concerns)......
3.   Transaction per second  and speed of transactions clearing– even the best networks don’t come anywhere close to being scalable to the likes of Mastercard or Visa.  As far as I know, NEM like all other cyrptos doesn’t yet have the answer.
.......

NODE transactions are instant. Checked it myself. Something like 3-5 seconds

That doesn't mean it's scalable. In fact the jury is still out on secure now that POA doesn't seem to be working correctly.

we need complete new and equal designs for website, alls subpages, forum and twitter. each and every single looks completely diffrent, the website doesnt contain all infos about nem, respectively you have to click a dozen of times to get them. no infos about poi, not one word how to setup a node or a tut for setting up the wallet. thats not how to attract people. take a look at news.nemcoin.com. latest news 26th of november. latest entry at ournem.com timeline 4th november. people not involved here or in forum.nemcoin.com could guess thats a dead coin. imho for the average people nem looks like a nerdy somewhat coin, way too difficult to use it in your daily routine. just my two cents, dont get mad.

We actually have a completely refurbished website almost ready. I don't know the exact status but I'm pretty sure it'll be finished and online soon.
Mixmaster is looking for people to finish the FAQ section here https://forum.nemcoin.com/promotion-activism/faq-section-for-new-nem-website/

898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: February 11, 2015, 07:45:39 PM
patmast3r. Exactly. Synchronization through cloudy services will be much faster and we won't need long hours to be synchronized. And the hard drive will be free from base of blocks. But it everything has to be at will. Who wants that let at himself stores the blockchain base. And who wants that let stores base of blockchain blocks on cloudy Dropbox, Google disk, Yunpan 360 servers, @mail.ru, Yandex disk, etc.

That is doable even now, just set nem folder to i.e. c:\dropbox.

But I think this won't work, as I guess dropbox (or anything else for that matter) will most likely try to sync whole db file, and that would be painful...

that's actually an interesting idea. hmm...

世界的本質,表明進程需要開始學習中國。

Whether developers can think up so that blockchain could be stored on cloudy services of this type? http://yunpan.360.cn

There is so much everything, it is a pity on Chinese :c
http://360.cn

Center of the world Pacific Rim.
I don't understand what you are trying to say.

Cloudy storages of blockchain. That there the base of blocks was stored and there downloads. In the client it is necessary to give the chance of a choice where the blockchain base will be stored. For example Dropbox, Google disk, @mail.ru, Yandex disk, Yunpan360, etc.

Ooh...you mean checkpoints to make the sync faster.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: February 10, 2015, 07:35:53 AM
What was the big deal about multisig anyway?
Im not sure why the devs wanted to add this before launch, I would have been happy to wait for it to be added later but it is a good feature, but i should also mention that there are other coins currently already using it.

1) devs will be in control of a huge amount of coins and do not want to risk holding them in regular accounts.. 1 hack = devs lose credibility and nem dies.

2) other coins do have multisig, but not blockchain based multisig. there is a MASSIVE difference.

3) the more skeptical investors, or risk averse, will feel much safer investing in Nem knowing they can secure their investment safely with multisig.

4) 3rd parties(exchanges, payment processors et al) will be able to use multisig to secure funds so we wont have any mtgox, bter, bitstamp [and so] type hacks which make the coin stolen look bad even though its nothing to do with the actual coin(most of the time). also we wont ever end up in the position of nxt having to think about a roll back to recover 5% worth of coins that got stolen.

having multisig ready for launch was the BEST move the devs could have made.

While that is the ideal pov i do want to add some thing from my pov.

@2) I maintain that NEM is NOT the only system with blockchain enforced multi-sig. BTCs multi-sig has to be enforced by the blockchain. It may be right that you have to prepare everything for that on the client side but the blockchain has to enforce it somehow otherwise there is no multi-sig. If I have multi-sig set up and the network still accepts tx without the co-signatories then noone would dare to say BTC has multi-sig because that would be a lie. NEMs implementation is infinitely more userfriendly though.

@4) They have the possibility but I personally doubt that they will use it (eventhough they very much should). From my experience crypto-service providers have their one implementation and try to squeeze every new coin in there no matter what. Everything else is just to much of a hassle for many or even most. At least that's what I suspect.
