Hallihallo,

882  Economy / Services / Re: Betnomi review campaign on: April 13, 2020, 08:11:04 PM
Username: BTCLiz

I actually quite like the game, but there is no chance to stop the rocket in the beginning. But in general an interesting and innovative game concept.

Hallo,

Danke!
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 12, 2020, 07:11:28 PM
One additional problem is gambling in games. For most Apps there is not age restriction. Even if there is almost all children are able to overcome these restrictions. As a consequence young people get addicted to in-game-buys and other mechanisms. However, as the provider states, the games are not designed to appeal to children under the age of 16. This is contrary to the presentation in friendly, bright colors and the comic look. Marketing also contradicts this statement: For instance Coin Master is targeted by influencers like Bianca Heinicke. These people are popular within younger age groups.

Okay, I agree with you both. A rebuy-structure with a championship doesn't make sense at all. But wouldn't it be an option if we really want to find out the best (and not the luckiest player) to increase the starting stack? This model would lower the variance.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 12, 2020, 06:36:02 PM
For Poker I suggest you using a tracker like Pokertracker or Holdem Manager. With these programs it is possible to track your loss/win and also show some stats of your opponent. But caution: Not every poker platform allows these trackers, because they give users an incredible advantage.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: P2P online games with BTC on: April 12, 2020, 06:15:00 PM
What are the some of online games where we can challenge others, play online for BTC. I'm specifically looking for games like Chess, 8 Ball Pool, Carrom or some other games. Would be happy to see 8 Ball Pool or Chess game. I can't take the lockdown anymore. I need something to spend my times.
What about playing poker? SWC offers a really good opportunity in my opinion. They are also represented in this forum. Smiley

Dann mal viel Erfolg bzw. wohl eher Glück!  Grin

BITCOIN POKER SUNDAY

TODAY'S QUARANTINE SERIES EVENTS

Satellites to all events available in the lobby!

Can you call it a "jackpot" if it gets hit every three days? I've said it before and I'll say it again now, I think 2222 should be the minimum qualifying hand at the very least.

That aside, the site looks great! Been logging in every day during this quarantine. Smiley

Thank you! Grin

The qualifying hand requirement will be adjusted following the next jackpot win. Full details will be posted.
Isn't this something where you could do some kind of community voting? Especially because there is allways a lack of democracy in the most other poker platforms.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 12, 2020, 01:34:45 PM
Casinos and other non-essential businesses were temporarily closed due to the virus spreading the word. We often think about gambling businesses having no income, and the decrease of the stock market. But we're forgetting about their employees who get no job and salary in the current situation.

Casino workers in Las Vegas showed their disappointment and anger towards their employers who failed to help and provide them what they need. Famous Las Vegas Strip of glitzy hotels and casino is closed due to lockdown, and thousands of their employees were left with no work and income. However, some casinos were able to support their workers and offered them a two-week salary, others gave four, while some gave nothing.

Quote
"This is not going to sustain us — we need to feed our families, we need to put food on the table, we have bills mounting up,” said Debra Jeffries, a cocktail waitress for four decades at a major Strip casino.

Las Vegas has more than 40 million visitors every year and it is known for casinos. According to the American Gaming Association, if all casinos in the US will continue to be closed until mid-May, including nearby restaurants and bars, $43.5 billion in economic activity will lose.

The treasurer-secretary of the giant Las Vegas-based Culinary Union, Geoconda Arguello-Kline called giant operating casinos to do their responsibility in the community.

Quote
“We feel the casino industry right now, they left their workers alone… it’s a very painful situation,” said Arguello-Kline.

Although it's awful that some successful casino owners and management forget to protect and help their employees who helped them to become successful, some casino owners were able to send help and give their employees the salary they need. Perhaps they don't care about their employees' financial struggle because they have a lot of money, and they can survive the whole lockdown with that money.

It's their responsibility to give them a salary even if the business is closed. They should be prepared in times like this, and for sure they have an emergency fund to provide their employees. It's only a simple sacrifice for the employees who have been working for them every day.

Imagine a situation where someone gets paid to kill other people. This person looses her job because she has to go to quarantine. Is this person eligible to receive help? Economically definetly not, because social security programs are equal to subsidies which make only sence if there are positive externalities.

Our series is lots of fun isnt it guys? I am now very positive we could/should do this on a monthly basis - lets see how the rest of the series goes but I am super happy.

Thank you very much everybody for your participation! Smiley
Yes, please! That would be really really great.

Did you think about offering a rebuy-option?

There are actually still PTC now? I mean I get that click ad for reward models are still good for games or credit, but they've got to be worth crap now if paid in actual satoshi. Doing a freeroll on this site I get, I don't mind a 1 second click every now and then when I'm in the commute and remember, $200 chance at that and lotteries. But watching an ad on a spammy website to infect myself with all kinds of malware for very likely what a min payout on freeroll is? Absolutely not!

PTC and captacha give very minimal amounts but they are still worth for two types of people.

First those who do not have any skill, they can earn few satoashi by just clicking or solving the captcha.
Secondly, if they can hold the bitcoins they earned through this method, you never know how high bitcoin might go in the next bull run and then these small amount will turned into reasonable amounts when converted to dollar.

I get the idea. But What I'm saying is even freerolling is a better way of getting that very small amount of faucet for minimal work. PTC and captcha is time-consuming, and then you gotta deal with all that spam AND expose yourself to malware.

Everyone has a skill. Instead of spending hours a day collecting faucets, and possibly earning what, $1? Let's say you count in all the electricity costs, maybe you get $1 a day. I would rather go out there and get a job that pays me $1 an hour. I know there are people in the world who still earn below $1 a day but these guys don't have a device to connect to the internet for faucets.

If you go, do an honest job that teaches you new skills and experience, you could buy far more bitcoin than you would spending an entire day at faucets and PTC.
That is not entirely true. There is lots of evidence that ownership of smartphones is increasing even for low-income earners. Really interesting would it be if Freebitcoin could deliver some country-specific data to analyse if some people really use faucets as a Unconditional basic income.
893  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk SwC Championship Poker Series(50 mBtc added by SwC) on: April 12, 2020, 10:34:48 AM
I had a good hand, that part was ok. But I didn't even seen that there is very high probability my opponent has a flush. There was 4 cards from the same suit on the table by the end and I didn't even think on it. I was distracted by stuff in real life but that is not an excuse. At that point I lost a big chunk of my chips and then I lost another big hand very soon after that one and was left in the last position. That 2 hands was a drop from 23k to 2.5k in chips for me and than I just risked it all on first not terrible hand and finished my evening.
So you wanted to be in this glory list? Cheesy

Next time will be better.

Huh

I had a blackout yesterday, anybody who was on the table will know what I am talking about. I think that was a biggest mistake I made while playing cards ever Smiley

Anyway, congrats to the winner and I am coming to get you today  Tongue
Now I'm curious. What did you do exactly? Going all-in with 27o full stack? Cheesy

899  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk SwC Championship Poker Series(50 mBtc added by SwC) on: April 11, 2020, 05:29:54 PM
I can't play today again and have to work almost all dates the next tournaments take place. Stupid Corona! I'm really so sorry for the inconvenience. As a consequence I will donate the 400 chips to the price pool of the final tournament. Good luck to all and have fun. I really looking forward to a second Championship.

I have about 50 krill (now it is more like 60), Efialtis is the one with 1200 krill, don't know how he got so many. Probably they are paying for his signature with krill, no way he is that good Smiley

No sarcasm, next to him I will look like beginner and probably have a bit easier time to part people from their chips.

and trash talk continues

The number of Skrill is no proof that someone is a good player. Even a player with over 10k Skrill can be someone with -ev. But of course there are many baby seals, who play really bad (pushing 27o with full stack).
