Yes because quitting is the real best way if you do not want to suffer any financial problems as a result of gambling, this is really recommended and if you can do it then do it as soon as possible, do not let yourself stay in a zone that will harm yourself in the end. And on the other hand if you don't want to suffer any amount of losses in the long run then obviously I would advise anyone to quit or retire from gambling, because there is no such thing as fun if you already feel that you are experiencing some problems in your finances as a result of gambling and it could be that you have the wrong approach that is having that impact on you.

Diverting your attention to other things when you are losing or when you really want to quit gambling activities is a really effective alternative in my opinion, and I am one of the gamblers who recovered from addiction in this way, in the sense that I always try to divert and occupy my time with many other activities, do not let yourself see or be associated with anything that smells of gambling because it can re-interest you and your curiosity to return to gambling.

Yeah right, while you can still control it's better to quit and move away instead of pushing yourself forward and keep trying your luck, there are times where we really can't control and even we have already set our limitation we still exceed, and if you'll going to keep allowing that, chances that you may fall to heavy addiction can be the next thing that you will suffer.

And as we speak about diverting your interest, it's a self-define action that can really help to avoid getting too much engage and suffer with addiction.

Every player who started a session should be able to know how to end it, if not the session will help him put it to an end when his funds get exhausted. Waiting for our funds to elapse before we rest isn't a good gambling practice. Being able to control the bank roll is crucial for every gambler. Speaking of cross addiction in gambling, it's a better method of escaping problem gambling, but it's not simple to achieve especially in gambling. A gambler has multiple reasons not to avoid gambling. His money is there, and the brain has been accustomed to gambling most of the time. Hence, staying in touch with people who can help the player divert his attention, also works fine for the gambler. Trying to achieve it all alone, is not conducive for the gambler's health, he could get lost in the process and wouldn't realize what he's suffering from. It's like a gravity, the addict need another force to distract the body from engaging into gambling again.
882  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: February 18, 2024, 11:51:31 PM
Gambling for the sake of money, has caused many newbie gamblers more harm. Because of the gravity that pushes them to continue gambling that soon they'll hit the money. Thereby making the gambler to increase in wagering amount and also gamble for a long time. No need to gamble for money, as the house owns the whole money. It's mainly a place of fun and skill acquisition. Lots of knowledge is concealed in gambling, that only the observant people are able to find or unveil. However, it sounds to people that gamble has nothing else to offer other than win or loss. But gambling offers a whole lot more, especially for those who gamble in physical casinos, most of them learn communication skills there. This other knowledge which can be gotten via gambling, helps many gamblers to be productive in their daily real-life activities. Hence, gamblers should focus more on what they can get or learn and forget about making money via gambling.
Yes, money has duped many into a cycle of optimism and misery. I nod when you say the house's edge. Your advice to gamble for joy and learning rather than profit is refreshingly honest.

My point is that gambling reflects life's unpredictability. Risk assessment, pressure-decision-making, and people reading are crucial table skills. Travel is more important than arrival. In the bright atmosphere of a casino, mastering informal conversation can boost confidence in social situations outside.

Lets promote gambling as a tool for skill and human improvement. The ultimate prize is experience and knowledge, not chips.

That's a good response, promoting gambling as a game for skill acquisition and enhancement. Many gamblers have been in the niche for multiple years without discovering a single skill to learn through gambling. They waste years chasing money, which ends up finishing right in front of them, within few days. Those skills as communication, helps a gambler outside the casino to be productive, especially in his place of work. Many managers visit the casino to enhance their critical thinking skill and be better than other managers in the company. It could be money management skill; gambling has a lot to offer for brilliant and observant players.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 18, 2024, 11:43:54 PM
Losing control of your emotions will only worsen your gambling situation because it can make you lose self-control and want to continue gambling to recover from the losses you experienced. We must not lose self-control and emotions because that will trigger us not to want to stop our gambling activities so that we will only take bigger risks even though we cannot afford to see bigger losses. Many gamblers lose their emotions when playing gambling, which causes them to lose a lot, so we have to really control our emotions so that they don't forget to take care of ourselves. We must immediately stop gambling activities if we feel there is pressure from within ourselves to want to continue gambling. Otherwise, we will only really lose money without being able to recover the loss.
of course by controlling our emotions we will be comfortable when playing gambling, and prepare capital that can be lost if we lose, it is quite difficult to control our emotions, because sometimes we get carried away by the tense atmosphere in gambling games but like it or not we have to control our emotions, the best solution to hold back It's hard to know yourself because you are in a different position in each game, but don't waste everything on gambling

Being able to get hold of the emotions helps the gambler to be in charge of his decisions. When the emotions are not in order, the gambler only gambles to feed his fantasies of winning big and becoming made through gambling. Emotions can be filled with thoughts that won't help the gambler to make good decisions. If a gambler is only gambling without being conscious of his emotions, he'd definitely be at risk. Gambling has to do with the emotions, that's why it hurts most of the times, when we lose money. Not caring for the pains or feeling no remorse about how money is being lost while gambling, can be a problem in the life of a gambler. However, having a stable emotion is quite great and sound for a gambler, but doesn't make any difference in the way the gambler plays or wins his games. I think it's a safety measure for the gambler to save his funds.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: February 18, 2024, 11:34:40 PM
Not  all, no one is happy when they loose while gambling, but as a gambler it's part of the game and you have to accept the fact that either you win or lose. But in matters like this, if you loose above you gambling budget it can hurt you but if it's below then it just a normal cruise while having your fun in the game.
Even when someone has not gambled up to their gambling budget, there is a level at which you can be losing in a game, which can change your mode entirely, and that could lead to a situation where your gambling decision will be affected by your emotions.

I don't think losing in gambling is totally fun to anyone, as no one ever wants to lose anything, no matter how little the amount might appear to be. But then again, those losses that one encounters during gambling are what will increase the level of happiness and fun you derive when ever you win a new game. This is how I sense losing in gambling, as it is not a total waste after all.

In your response, I'd say that the losses help the gambler to feel so excited when the wins begin to arrive. Normally, no venture in life that starts with only winning, people face losses and along the line, begin to win. But in the case of gambling, which is not a business, after the transient joy, more losses follow, and it's not only once but multiple times. I'd add that the feeling is a choice, although it's hard to accept, yet the money is gone, and no amount of mood swing would return it. Hence, the gambler only has the one decision of staying calm and enjoy the game, until he gets a win. No one in the history of gambling has ever felt sad for winning. Humans are like that, the losses automatically affect the gambler to feel the pains. That's why a gambler is expected not to gambler higher than he can afford to lose. Because the pain of losing money depends on the amount of money the gambler lost in his game.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: February 18, 2024, 11:23:58 PM
The social media world is giving out lots of opportunities for everyone who is able to market his base or account to a wider range of followers. How his followers behave towards them varies. And not everyone listens or adheres to their advice. However, most people in the crowd will desire them because they're being desired. Then the wins they post on their pages also helps the influencer's followers to trust him to an extent of trying out their gambling methods. With the new developments, brands now took advantage of the benefits given to the influencers to be able control his fans. Advertisers milk such opportunities, from influencers, and it converts, especially on the gambling niche, due to the numerous rules.

that makes sense, also with the popularity of online slot gambling at the moment, this has made many people aware of it because nowadays many people spend their daily lives using mobile phones, PCs and the internet, so the existence of online slot gambling is widely known among the public, and also if there are people who gamble via live streaming, it can attract a lot of people because currently many people are interested in online slot gambling.

with so many people watching the streamer, it's possible that there will be a lot of people who are interested which will lead to them wanting to gamble with the requirement to register using the link that has been provided, which can also bring benefits to the streamer, because I've seen that we register via the link. what has been provided can make it easy for the gambling we do to win, but even so, I don't fully believe it, because they also want profits, and with the large number of people who register using the link that has been provided, they can make their own profits, according to I think many people are influenced by online slot gambling and by streamers who gamble. However, this doesn't apply to me, of course I won't believe them when they say registering using the link will make it easier to win. nonsense. In my opinion, winning at gambling is only based on luck.

The link the influencers share is what matters to them and also yields profits for their endless daily efforts. Many people trust the influencers because of the appearance of the page and how they show big wins to newbies. Those attitudes help in conning the viewers to go through their pages and subscribe to the casino being promoted on the channel. The only trouble with viewers is that they go ahead to wager money just like the influencer. It's not a clear behavior for a gambler to act similarly to what someone else does, the funds on the newbie's bank roll may not be enough to take him more days in gambling, until he runs short of money. Any gambler who follows the leads of the influencers is doing that at his own risk. However, they need to wager accordingly, even if the casinos are genuine the newbie need to be watchful about losing their money. Many of them, currently, blame the streamers for being behind their troubles, but it's all wrong. The streamers only promoted, and they went ahead to act like him in terms of wagering amount. Greed is an attribute of a naive gambler.
886  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: February 18, 2024, 11:11:27 PM

It's a personal move, the gambler needs to be careful and follow the rightful steps to help maintain his bank roll. If a gambler plays every day without going against his methods and being cautious of how he wagers money, he wouldn't face many troubles. The problems only double when the player doesn't care about working on his self-control. Which happens constantly with many gambling newbies. They end up getting on the wrong track of the game. Thereby losing out lots of money trying to win big, by playing each day. Some of them still go as far as telling other people about the importance of gambling every day. Without opening up to them on the need to stay careful and wager with limits. One can't be spending recklessly every single day and not face a hard time with managing his funds. Nothing is wrong with being a daily gambler, if the gambler limits himself on fund and time. He'd, the gambler, will need the ability to determine how long he spends gambling and the amount of money he wagers. Maintaining that amount is also important.
Actually the main priority on here is that you should not make your finances been heavily affected by gambling then this is the only way that you would be able to make yourself just that fine when dealing with it. You cant really that confident when it comes to gambling spending because there are people who are really just that too blind when dealing with it. Gambling on everyday? it isnt bad
as long you do have the control and moderation on which majority of gamblers do really fail on this one. If you do gamble for fun then there comes a time that those impressions would be changed up everytime and would really be changed up on trying to chase up those winnings or even with your loses and this is where problem do really begin on the time that you will really be going to those
higher things like spending or expenses on gambling activity which it is really that wrong.

Those who do that also panic over losing their money in short time and wants to gain them back. Such things keep disturbing the brain of the gambler on daily basis, thereby putting him on a restless mode, provided the gambler still has some funds with him, he'd definitely going to use it for gambling purposes. So, those who has made it an uncontrollable activity need to be helped and shouldn't continue that way, as it could be detrimental to their life and ways of gambling. A player gambling for fun, only needs to be cautious of himself not to end up like the other daily gamblers who has no control left in them. Enjoying the gambling process is better than undergoing some pains like consistent loss of money. And still partaking in the same thing which is consuming the player's money. The emotion of the gambler then gets disturbed, and he ends up almost addicted in the process. Seeing such people, one will easily conclude without any doubt that gambling every day is bad, but they are only few bad eggs trying to spoil other good eggs in the basket.

887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 18, 2024, 10:22:49 AM
Being harsh to a gambling addict will only inflict pain on both the loved ones and the addict. Staying caring and lovely with the addicted person helps to bring back the thoughts of the gambler to feel as though human and try to interact politely with people around him. I understand that we are not the cause of the addicted person's problem. But it's fine to say that gambling addiction takes a long time to heal and not everyone would be able to get hold of being kind for that long without losing it. Whatever method a person, loved one, or friend, wants to apply on his addicted friend, being harsh should be a part of it. They are only humans like us, and when they get better the person can be aggressive in the sense that when he was down bad for help, nobody, not even his close friends and family stood there for him. Instead, they applied a harsh method on him. Those attitudes will register on his brain. And he'll never suffer addiction forever. So, how good you treat them matters, because they'll remember it when their mental health gets better.
Punishing a gambler is ineffective. Like you, I value compassion and understanding. Both the addict and their support network are on a journey. Keep in mind the narrow line between support and enabling. I think balance is key. Being kind doesnt imply ignoring bad behavior. Be there, support without judgment, and encourage accountability.

I understand how difficult it is to stay compassionate. Frustration and overwhelm are normal. But thats when support really matters, I say. Set boundaries to safeguard the addict and their family. Supporting pleasurable gambling within limitations emphasizes addiction's complexity. Not vilifying gambling, but encouraging responsible fun. Our treatment of the needy shows our humanity. Every positive connection gives hope in recovery, which is a marathon.

The marathon continues as far as after recovery, it's a very long one. But the load of stress reduces as the journey gets closer to an end. It's all a collective effort and everyone need to accept their responsibility on such problems. Be it a friend or family, he's to be taken good care of and handled as he was, when his health was in order. That's enough of therapy for the victim, so that he wouldn't be bothered about the pains and troubles he's undergoing. At least the people he most love, are with him and also award him their advice and loving kindness. Such a good live helps to reduce the trouble and help them get used to the problem. Why most people who don't care about the health of their addicted friend do so, is because of the difficulty in interpersonal relationship. They blame and criticize the addict, thereby breaking the friendship bond between them.

888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: February 17, 2024, 06:48:31 PM
I think this depends on each person's income. If a gambler earns 100k dollars per month they set aside 1%, which is $1000 and that is a lot of money for other gamblers and I think that is enough for them to have fun, but if they earn $500 per month they only use it. $5 and yes, that not enough for someone to have fun if they spend a lot of time gambling, especially if they think about making a profit, of course this won't provide big profits because that small amount of money can quickly run out.

I think this is not about us not having enough fun using that 1% money, but about us being disciplined and limiting our gambling so that we don't experiences too much loss because 1% is not too risky for gamblers rather than having to spend more but not being willing to lose that money. Using more than 1% of your money is okay and that's fine, but that's how you have commitment and limits so you don't overdo it when gambling.
This 1% guideline does not need to be taken as an absolute rule, this is simply giving a specific value to the common advice that we see on the forum about setting a budget for your gambling activities and stopping once that limit is reached.

After all each person faces different circumstances, so a person could bet way more than that but if they are willing to diminish their expenses in other areas, like video games or streaming apps, they can easily make the difference without affecting their finances.

It's a guideline, yes, and won't work for everyone, they are gamblers who can't make it this way, as Klidex said, the player may not be satisfied with the fun 1% of his salary will provide him for a day. However, it's a good strategy for people battling with chasing losses and managing their funds. Most people who have read this may not be able to control themselves to such extent. But, if a gambler is practicing this, regardless of the fun available, he'll save up time and money for himself, without facing any form of problem gambling. Those who have a high pay that their 1% is big enough to give them enough fun, they still need to maintain their money, not minding that its just a percent of their income. Keeping everything straight and focused helps gamblers not to pass their limit. That's why this strategy is crucial. It helps the gambler to remember the limit he's kept on gambling and will restrain the gambler from going past his 1% strategy. The gambler will also have enough money to take care of his family.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: February 17, 2024, 06:19:43 PM

And expectations like that are what cause someone to become addicted and lose control because they are too chasing their ambition to win so they forget about the risks they face, but it doesn't rule out the possibility that all gamblers are like that and only a few have excessive expectations, this is usually caused they see people who win at gambling, which makes them think that it could happen to them someday.

Expecting profits from gambling is certainly a very wrong thing, but some people do it and expect too much. If the results do not match expectations, in the end we will not profit, we will even lose, instead of being happy we will be sad.
That's right, maybe people see other people's wins and luck when gambling so they have excessive expectations. the fact that someone else is winning is a temptation that drives us to gamble excessively.

I think it's among the reason why most casinos publish the big wins of their players. Such results also attract gamblers to look for more and try to win like the other player. They forget so fast that the winner may have gone through months of gambling before he won the money. Players keep winning every day, and some don't, why does it happen? questions that newbie gamblers could be asking, or those seeking for money. But they fail to watch or observe their own game, instead what matters to them is focusing on the wins of other people, wishing to be them. It then pushes the player to gamble against his will. Thereby losing out his own money and not winning many rewards, in terms of profits and what has been wagered. A good gambler removes those thoughts of chasing for wins to be like a gambler who won big on the score boards. Those can distract the gambler, minding our game is the right thing as a gambler.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 17, 2024, 06:08:26 PM
Playing on our own prediction is better than following the instruction of the self-acclaimed experts. It's a personal thing, not all gamblers can be smart enough to know what's going to be next. There is no need in listening to them, because it causes more pains to the gambler. The experts, some, ask for money upfront before giving out game prediction to the gambler. However, if the game doesn't yield profit for the gambler, he'd have nothing against the expert. After reading some of the expert's thoughts on this, they'll deny it that the fault is not from their end, but from some mistake in the settings of the match. Which made them to lose. All the complaints they send out to their customers, still leave me wondering why such gamblers don't move ahead to gamble without their expert. Are they now addicted to using some other person's strategy? It's double expenses, and the gamblers need to avoid such things and focus on their game.

Most of them are hoping for quick benefits, only to find out that instead of gaining they are adding expense with their gambling activities, I'm sure to those who already been victimized and losses a huge amount of money, they learn things the hard way while for those who keeps trying and hoping to finally find someone, if ever that they will experienced some win they will become greedy and they will lose their money again.

Self claimed experts will earn no matter what, they can give their next advise for free in case the first attempts missed, but there's no guarantee that you may win after, just come to realize that you are into gambling, it's not a charity but a business they are design to earn and not to provide.

Such experts only need more publicity to reach out to more naive and curious gamblers who are seeking to make money by all method or strategy. The fastest way of getting a naive gambler's money is telling him that you've got correct predictions that could yield him more money. Those experts who do this, definitely wouldn't run out of such gamblers, it's a broad niche and can't end anytime soon. Because more people keep joining and those who has been into the trap of such experts, still keep on trying to find the best person to purchase their predictions. Gamblers only need to focus on their own predictions, and feel happy whenever it works out great, and add more money to their bank roll. No meaningful profits can be made by reaching out to unreliable experts to get predictions for an unpredictable game.
891  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: February 17, 2024, 05:57:37 PM
Gambling regularly will make a person addicted into it. If you keep doing a work daily then after sometime his conscious mind accept this fact and  build a mentality base on these facts which will directly/indirectly command your mind to continue that things daily even in upcoming days. Thus it turns into a strong habit and you have to suffer whenever you want to get out of it. And when you found that you don't have enough money for gambling but as you already decided & build such mentality to gambling regularly, then And will be in troubles. Even there will be chance to involve yourself in unusual activities because of managing money for gambling. So it will be better not to gambling Daily

Gambling every day is not all that wrong, depending on the motives of the gambler. Not every gambler has this lack of control, they're many who has a daily limit for their gambling. We all do not care about the addiction due to our daily involvement in gambling. Gamblers and addiction have a thin line, and those who get addicted seem to be the daily participants who has no limit. If all daily participants were addicts, that means the world would have recorded the highest number of addictions. Lots of daily gamblers has no addiction whatsoever, because they still watch themselves, to be sure of not going extra mile or beyond their limit. Like any other habit, there are limitations to all that. The problem remains that most gamblers get carried away and forget to focus on their strategies. It's always difficult to make it out of addiction. Hence, they continue to play uncontrollably, until the problem worsens. Then everyone around him would think he got addicted because of his daily gambling activity.
•Spending only the amount you allocated and never goes beyond that
•Gambling for fun
•Doesnt compromise other things like time on your family and other priorities

If you do able to still maintain these things then i dont see for gambling to be dangerous or something that would really be risky for someone to deal with.
It is really just that there are really people who do forget about their priorities and important things in life because they are focusing too much on how much they have lost in gambling.
If they wont really be that too impulsive or losing their composure then i dont really see any issues in regarding to this.
Therefore it would be just that depending on someones approach and actions towards it.

892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 17, 2024, 05:37:40 PM
We have limitations here, and we can only tell what is good and what is right, and your addicted friend will still be the one to decide for his/her own benefit. Also you have to set boundaries because your friend might get offended if you tell him to stop gambling, if that friend is still listening to you then better to suggest to seek professional help because you know to yourself that you are not capable to help him, especially on dealing with his emotions psychologically.
Whenever situations with gambling addictions get to this point nits most productive when the service of a professional is involved because only that way can such person get help quick enough to be able to quit if they really want to quit because some persons only attempt quitting and then go on to still continue with their gambling habits.

If you are trying to help your friend by yourself you my likely not succeed in helping him or her out for their addiction and then even with the service of a professional they will still need to first agree to wanting to quit, that way what ever Is required of them to do so they can quit they will do but when they are not fully convinced to quit then they will most definitely continue to find away around their addiction and still continue in it despite every effort to helping them quit .
Whoever is or will take or handle the healing of the addict's problem, still need to apply some patience and kindness. The healing as usual takes lots of time. However, if he tries to help his friend without the assistance of a therapist. He could be getting the whole process so wrong. Due to the fact that the professionals have some simple ways, known by few people, of recovering the thoughts and brains of the addicted person. A friend can get aggressive, in as much as being angry of his addicted friend not responding or listening to their advice. These people detest advice like a plague. What they are doing is right, in their jurisdiction. Hence, it's not meant to be the complete duty of the addict's friend to heal him, they'll also need help from a therapist. What is most important is that the addict doesn't get neglected or being left behind.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: February 16, 2024, 05:01:24 PM
Gamble is risky but as it may be it doesn't matter if you are a new gambler or not because you can't tell what odd is sure to make your winnings to be sure, when you bet you would think that they games will be in your good turn but at last if luck isn't with you there will be no winning until you bet and win.
Yes, gambling is risky but it depends on each person in handling the risk so that it doesn't become too big. Each person must know how to deal with risks so that they do not increase because if not, they will only get themselves into trouble where they will suffer a lot of losses. A new gambler must know how to control themselves when playing gambling so that they can prevent a lot of losses and if they have lost, they should immediately end the gambling game so they don't experience a lot of losses. Maybe @OP has had experience in gambling and can't tell about his experience yet. But @OP should learn self-control so that he doesn't fall into gambling which is full of temptation to continue his gambling game.

Self-control is a strong gambling strategy for newbies, and if implemented the right way would help the player not to lose out on his games. Because he'd be able to know the right time to stop gambling. However, it's always a hard task for such newbies to get hold of themselves when the wins begin to appear and adding to what they've got in their bank roll. That's where the control is most tested, if a gambler is strong enough to hold himself. The risk can be escaped in multiple ways, gambling doesn't pin players to gambler nonstop. The player can decide to program his gambling time and decide the exact moment to call it a day. It's an example of self-control, and the best of it is getting the money together, without wagering them all at once. Going all in, is not the right decision or strategy for any gambler. Players need to understand the best way of managing their money, so that they'll be able to make up savings and enjoy their next gambling session.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 16, 2024, 04:49:23 PM
Emotions not only apply to gambling but emotions have a huge negative impact on all walks of life. A gambler who can't control his emotions while gambling is far from profiting from gambling, but at some point in his life, he is severely damaged and becomes bankrupt. Emotions must be restrained in gambling and trading because if one gives priority to emotions in these two areasThen nothing will happen to him other than loss from trading or gambling. At times there are many gamblers who, despite making a profit on bets, only suffer losses later on for emotion alone. In this case, only emotions are responsible because there is emotion, despite getting profit, one has to face loss later.

The emotions for a gambler who just won money and is not able to control his moves or gambling speed will only get worse when he ends up discovering that he just lost all his newly won money. Such thoughts don't sit right with the emotions of the gambler and anybody else he just talked about his misfortune. Hence if a person being not emotionally stable and gambles a lot, he'd have a hard time having a better money management skill. Our emotions help us to make good or wrong decisions while gambling, but a time being on the right part of the coin, that is on a stable and sound emotion, only helps in bank roll control, but can't determine if a gambler will win or not. However, gamblers still need the right emotions not to go out of context and chase losses.

Of course I stop if it's for my friend's good, but that's not necessary because our friend can of course access it at any time if he wants, it requires close supervision, only self-awareness is the most important thing.
That's the point, though one or the whole group of friends become ready to sacrifice their game nights and gambling activities when they are together for the friend who is vulnerable to gambling and might get addicted if they do it more, it wouldn't make any sense or change his mindset when his friends aren't around anymore because they definitely don't live together and the person getting addicted to gambling will still have access to gambling when he is alone.

So it's not about what friends do when they are together, but it's about how self-aware each one of them is so that no matter what they do when they have a get-together, they should have enough patience and self-control they don't make a habit out of the activities they have done together as friends.
This habit thing becomes an addiction at some point. If following the actions of friends every day will become a habit then even a conscious person will lose his control and it is not possible to go away even if he wants to then life is directed in a bad direction. It's better to walk away from work if it seems risky to hang out with a friend. You have to change your mindset there is no guarantee that you will always find a friend. If you can control yourself there is less chance of getting addicted to bad habits of friends.

The other friends of such an addict only need to stay careful not to end up like him. But that shouldn't stop them from helping him out of the trouble. As they were both in it together. He got into the trouble gambling with them, why then will they forget about him when he's got addicted. Even if they are not interested in gambling with the addict anymore, which is a great choice. Neglecting him is a wrong, idea. He's close to them and will easily listen to their advice. That's how to treat an addicted gambler. No error in trial, running from the addict will only make him to get worse in the addiction. And he'd also going to feel it that his friends don't care about him anymore, or maybe wonder about why his friends doesn't want to gamble with him anymore. Stopping to gamble because of him, can only make him to think of why his friends are stopping, but if he's opportune to find other gamblers, he'll definitely forget about his friends, and continue his gambling lifestyle. However, keeping in touch with him is the right choice, than just stopping and moving away from him.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 16, 2024, 04:28:18 PM
Indeed! it's uncomparable especially if you are just buying and holding the value will grow eventually and if you manage to sell your coin in the time, you will earn decently, while if the market is not favorable to you, just simply hold and wait, but in gambling, the only way to try recovering your money is adding more deposit when your first attempt failed, and it will continue repeating that cycle without luck you will see yourself losing more and more without the chance of recovering.

In terms of prediction, so-called experts in gambling most of the time are scammers while in trading, if you follow those people who are sharing their position you'll be able to learn what are the basis and what are the potentials.
Perhaps not even fraud, but a desire to sell your “knowledge”, but here you need to study how valuable this information that they are trying to sell you is. Instead of trying to find someone who sells such forecasts, it is better to rely on your own strength and develop a sufficient level of knowledge in yourself to make these forecasts yourself. There are also those who make predictions regarding Bitcoin, but their mistakes are not as critical as those given in gambling, where a loss means losing a bet.

Children have retentive memory but easily forgets an inconsistent subject or training. They prefer following up with what they're being thought. Same things happen to adults, but an adult can forget to remember. Among other online gambling criteria, remembering discipline while gambling is hard to withstand. Hours after gambling, one can begin to reminisce on the experience he had and the promises he made himself. Both of which wouldn't rhyme. When in action, the brain thinks differently compared to when at rest. Gamblers have challenges to resolve while gambling. And it needs the help of an experienced gambler to teach youths. Having an experience gambler as father, could be tagged lucky. It takes a good gambler to save a compulsive gambler, especially when they're close relative, friends, father and son. A home that has no gambling expert could remove such problems by taking their children away from a gambling community. Failing to secure the safety of the kids can put a big trouble in the family. One who doesn't know about gambling may find it hard counselling a gambler. The terms we use also plays vital roles in starting a healthy conversation that will take hours to end.
Perhaps a novice gambler can gain better knowledge if he is accompanied by an experienced gambler, in this case, his father or the adults around him. But we have to remember that not all beginner gamblers can and want to learn about self-control when gambling because each person will be different too. And when they can learn all the things needed to play gambling, they can avoid excessive gambling. But if they become more curious about gambling, they can use more money without anyone accompanying them in gambling, which can trigger them to lose control of themselves. Apart from that, we also have to remember that when someone has become addicted to gambling, it will be a difficult moment to be able to pull him from gambling because he has started to not care about other things around him. Their focus will shift to gambling, and they will think that gambling will be more important than other things, so they will not want to do other things. And when they are addicted to gambling, it can have an impact on them and the people around them.

Newbie gamblers can be persistent about making the wrong gambling choices. Even when with an expert. However, it helps being with an expert, at least to remind the newbie of his wrong moves. Although some people would think that their own choices remain the best. You see that gamblers sometimes wouldn't care about the words of the expert. But if the person is quite very close with the expert, he wouldn't resist his advice. And it'll be hard for the gambler to get compulsive on the long run. That's the importance of having a good gambler around newbies. Because if he gets addicted, it'll be quite a long healing journey for the gambler to get back to his normal gambling habit. Definitely the people around the addict will go through multiple stress. Which can even lead them to therapy, because multiple stress can affect the way one thinks and behave.

The person who can't control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it instead he or she will surely get a lot of stress. Nothing good will come to a person who cannot control their emotions so beware of it. The people around you will get affected by your attitude and that is where it became ugly.

Maintaining or controlling our emotions while gambling plays a vital role in stabilizing the brain from being worried over the gambling results. But it doesn't in any way facilitate our winning chances. Sure, accurate, one can win better if his thoughts are balanced and cool, but gambling has its ways of regulating how the wins are being issued to gamblers. However, the only important aspect of controlling our emotions, is to stay clear from gambling compulsively. It helps in the reduction of chasing losses. Our emotions are very important and needs to be protected, especially in cases like gambling where money is been lost. You also made a good point, those around us are not meant to be disturbed over our inability of controlling our emotions. Being emotionless can affect the way one reacts to his loved ones and may not care as he used to in the past.

Games should just be fun, and the money you earn in them should be considered a bonus for that fun.

You should always play very responsibly, winning is really cool and it's always good to have extra money, but this is not a guaranteed job and should not be seen as such.

I like playing plinko, I even play it sometimes, but whether you lose or win, it doesn't matter, the important thing is not to let yourself get addicted.
yes the gambling is only for fun if someone thing it is a easy way to make money then he definitely doing the wrong think. gambling is not for everyone if you have enough money and if you have the ability to loss your money which amount you deposit for gambling. and if you win then it's definitely work as a bonus for you. everyone wants to win in the gambling because it's bring more fun then loss. so I will recommend to everyone use gambling only for fun and invest money in the gambling as much as you can afford to loss
