Thank you, but Greek is already done!
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions for the next bubble on: May 10, 2013, 05:32:50 PM
We will revisit double digits within this month and single digit next month. Cool
And singe digit difficulty also Grin, because all miners will turn off their rigs at this price.
883  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 10, 2013, 12:47:57 AM
I'm still surprised why anyone plays other gambling websites when Peerbet is around. No house edge...
I think it is because some people don't want to wait until their bet will be matched.
But as number of Peerbet players grows, waiting time must drop to almost zero, at least for small bets!
884  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Daily Bitcoins new ad system - 0.01 BTC bonus! on: May 09, 2013, 04:53:06 PM

886  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 08, 2013, 10:53:02 PM
I would be able to translate into welsh, if interested.
Thank you! You can start, but unfortunately there are almost no Welsh users on Peerbet so don't expect on tangible reward.
887  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 08, 2013, 03:40:57 PM

888  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Lowest acceptable Bitcoin price on: May 07, 2013, 02:58:17 PM
BTCAviator, thank you!
I just considered buying BFL 5 Ghash ASIC, but now I see it not worth today (too high risk to never recoup investment).
889  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Lowest acceptable Bitcoin price on: May 07, 2013, 12:33:39 AM
What is the critical BTC/USD exchange rate below which you will turn off mining rig (with current difficulty)?
890  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Validate Bitcoin address thru web api or php on: May 07, 2013, 12:16:35 AM
In PHP JSON-RPC you can use this code:

Code:
$isvalid = $bitcoin->validateaddress($address);
if($isvalid['isvalid']) {
//Address valid
}
891  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 06, 2013, 06:16:22 PM
It is good quality, but based on my opinion some can be further optimised. Like "coupon" is translated as“优惠劵” which have an explicit meaning of "coupon for discount". It can be better translated as “礼券” which have a more general meaning of coupon, no matter a discount or other(for example in peerbet.org, credits).

If you don't care about these, then never mind, won't have any great impact on the usage. If I can get like 0.1 BTC or something for refining that and you care about the ultimate accuracy of the terms, then tell me. I'd really like some btc  Roll Eyes

mining earns okay. one week=one translation(0.1btc) at 450 MH/s. Daily earning slightly Below the old legal minimum wage of indonesian workers(2.36 USD) Tongue but I'm not working, lol.

Also why not deploy it first, to see how it looks? Should be able to fit inside, because the lengths of Chinese words(and phrases) are generally short.
I have uploaded this locale to the server, so you can try it here https://peerbet.org/?lang=cn
As you can see, it has many non-translated words and FAQ not translated at all. I will be thankful if you correct it.

Also I have updated encoding, so you can download this locale as well as original English on http://peerbet.org/download/locale.zip
892  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 05, 2013, 09:37:33 PM
A vulnerability in the API was found which allowed an attacker to get access to your account if you have visited malicious site. From now you have to use API key only, cookies will not work with the Peerbet API.
Don't worry, this vulnerability was discovered and fixed before someone used it.

Please update your bots!
893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hedging BTC with LTC/alts? on: May 05, 2013, 12:49:54 AM
Short term gox taking on litecoin has to be bullish
I don't believe it ever happen after Mt.Gox was sued and Litecoin is least priority for them now.
894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clear Blue Skies Ahead on: May 04, 2013, 05:47:52 PM
I don't know what effect hosting in the Netherlands might have.  Little, I suspect - to a company with the influence and size of the WSJ.  Maybe not.
WSJ can do nothing if this quotation does not violates Dutch copyright law.

AAAAnd F that newbie restriction. I'm late by few days. May I have a look at the Chinese locale please?
Locale is here: https://mega.co.nz/#!ph01DLzA!VwY3dlAGCH1T58J_Pm2LDz_4XKpX3a_bPtyewylij40
Someone already proofread it, so I think it is good quality. The problem is that Chinese writing is significantly different from latin and cyrillic, therefore don't fit into site layout in many places.
896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hedging BTC with LTC/alts? on: May 04, 2013, 03:44:00 AM
Altcoins have no real use besides speculation, nor security comparable to the Bitcoin.

BTW, look how fast Litecoin hashrate fell because miners switched to other more profitable altcoins. Low hashrate == low security!

897  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will go down to 20 on: May 03, 2013, 08:44:39 PM
Agreed, bit coin is on its way down. There is no question, we're going down to $50, $40, $30, $20, even $10. The only people buying are those who think we're back in March and the price is going to $150 or $200 again. Please, give me a break. To Anyone still holding BTC , sell now whilst these crazy people are still existing and willing to buy your coins, because I can guarantee they are not going to be around here much longer.
Say this to miners who invested thousands of USD into ASICs and have to give away generated coins so cheaply in own loss!
Personally, I will never sell my coins below $50!
898  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will go down to 20 on: May 03, 2013, 07:26:26 PM
The price was about $50 before Cypriot crisis ballooned the bubble, so I don't think Bitcoin will ever fall below it.
Also don't forget about reward halving and difficulty increase which made unprofitable selling mined coins below $30-50.
899  Economy / Speculation / $90 is strong support level according to Google Trends on: May 03, 2013, 04:17:41 PM
Look at Google Trends chart with keyword "Bitcoin", you can see that now interest is in the same level as it was in March 27. BTC price was $90, so I think it is real fundamental level below which the price will not fall unless users' interest in Bitcoin will continue to decrease.

900  Economy / Speculation / ASICs and BTC price on: May 03, 2013, 02:22:10 AM
As you know, miners have paid enormous prices for ASICs (>$10K for Avalon, BFL doubled prices but still receiving many orders) in hope to make easy money. I think most of them probably not realized how FAST difficulty will go up! When this will happen, ASIC miners will see that they have no chance to even recoup initial investments with current BTC price (~$100) and won't sell mined coins in the loss waiting for a better price. If I am right, this could lead to Bitcoin supply drop and price hitting new heights, may be $500-$1000 at the end of this year.
