I just want to say it's just beautiful to watch the Opal community grow. You've all been very helpful in making Opal the best it can be. I am just beaming with pride to be apart of this. The Future is Bright! Now I'm feeling motivated by this progress to make some content of my own to sell on the marketplace.
I'm curious. what kinda of things would you all like to see in the marketplace? (art, music, how-to guides, custom programs, Steam keys, ect)
All!

Just tested the Alpha version of the market place.
Looks cool for now, checked out the functions that are build in right now and everything works like a charm.
Keep it up guys! Really looking forward to the Beta version!
Thanks for review

I have been fortunate enough to test out the market place in its Alpha mode.
They are still working on some functionality, features and design but for the most part everything is spot on. The registration is simple using the standard registration and log in and worked as it should. The layout of the site is very user friendly and will be a great platform for the coming marketplace.
The developers have done a tremendous job on this project in whole and I look forward to using the marketplace in the coming days once it is released.
I appreciate the opportunity to help out.
Thanks for the review

Dev, could you brief some bits of technicalities behind the file sharing platform?
And some screenshot, please! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Sure, just a second. *Warning* It ain't pretty (yet)

Dev, could you brief some bits of technicalities behind the file sharing platform?
Sure! We're collaborating with storj to store our files in the decentralized cloud. There will be two releases: Beta1/PoC: This will be purely storage, no transfers, and from the wallet you will be able to upload files to storj and download them, through an in wallet uploader. Beta2/Release: This will include automatic opacity file transfers where you can upload to storj and it will automatically send a download to a user you specify. Working with storj gives us no block chain bloat, and no centralization.

How long does it take to get mature coins? I'd like to start staking
It will take 24hrs to mature then it will stake... ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) How are 24hrs being calculated? Do I need to keep the wallet open? Yes, you do

Let me explain the future of opal.
If opal will be everything you said it might be, it will 100% be more valued than bitcoin. Here's the one single issue: Blockchains get bloated, by past transactions. Someone sent someone 10 opal 100 days ago, it is stuck in the blockchain that everyone must download and confirm. that is the nature of blockchains. Now you are talking about file sharing. That's cool on the onset. But not if everyone must store every file as part of their blockchain forever. If opal programmers (which I totally believe in), can find a way to let file transfers happen where: a) the sender sends b) the receiver receives c) anyone else that wants the file can get it d) SUPER SPECIAL: it is on the blockchain for a maximum number of blocks (say 200 blocks) and then gets removed somehow No one as far as I know, has come up with a self-healing bitcoin blockchain. A blockchain that reverses itself based on transactions or file transfers that have already occured, and are no longer necessary. ************************************** The single reason why I'm bringing this up is that BitMessage, a blockchain based on messages, was an early starter in crypto. run our wallet/client, and you can send/receive anonymous messages on the blockchain. Guess where they are at now? Just to run 3 days worth of bitmessages, takes over 3 gigs of your hard drive. If you send a message today, you can expect it takes 4-5 days before it gets delivered. The whole solution is not scalable. All nodes are victim to the huge data flowing through them. Now we're just talking about text messages.. Opal wants to do binary file transfers... it's the same problem X100 So based on this, I really do believe in opal developers. So instead of shying away from the tasks on hand, let's use this time to address these types of issues. If you get it. I can bet you that within the next 7-10 days, with a solid proof of concept, code, wallet release, someone will spend more than $50,000USD buying opal in a single click. Huge money potential is here, but we need to solve real blockchain issues. Take time out and think about how to handle this sort of thing. If you can find a way to do it, one opal will be worth way more than $350 a bitcoin. We already solved this ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Let me explain the future of opal.
Our roadmap may seem like a bunch of scattered ideas, but it is meticulously planned to culminate with the final form of Opacity Suite, which will become the leading private, secure file and information platform.
The marketplace ties in to OpacityEM, the files tie in with opaque addresses, the html5 wallet brings everything together. Opal IS opacity, and opacity is the best system a coin can have.
Opal is not just a coin, it's an ideal. Opal did not, and will not ever ask you for money. Opal is the future of altcoins, and once all the bullshit ICOs die, opal will stand.
I can guarantee once we launch filesharing and the marketplace, the people holding opal will be greatly rewarded, and the people who saw opal and didn't invest will be disappointed, just like the people who missed out on early bitcoin.
Opal and Opacity is the future, and we invite you to our revolution.
~Bass
