Hi TravelsAsia, Its no problem at all, your probably helping answer other people questions. That correct, Stratis tokens will power many aspects of the Stratis Platform. I cannot share to many details regarding the low level architecture at this time, but I can tell you that the standard private chains will require Stratis tokens to be 'locked' as part of the 2 way peg to private chains. Stratis tokens will also be the currency utilized to pay transaction fees to miners. When we migrate to POS Stratis tokens will be used to secure the Stratis chain and the private chains. The Blockchain-as-a-Service platform will be also be fueled by Stratis tokens, users will be able to deposit digital currencies or pay via paypal and Fiat to 'credit' their account with Stratis tokens to fuel their node. Our fiat gateway technology will also charge a fee in Stratis, but note there will most likely be a fee on the fiat side also. This will be one of the centralized components of the Stratis Platform, but its the only way to have Fiat gateways and be compliant with the various regulations involved. |

Shame. .NET probably downgraded the value of this project.
You'll need to create a version targeting for windows 10, and windows 7/8. You wont be able to reach enterprise organisations who frequently use Linux. and does that have Mac systems. You should have released this project under Java, C++ Qt, or Python Qt.
Apart from my opinions above.. . it pretty much sounds & feels like another ripple, without portability options.
But, I would like to know real-time statistics of how many people, who are actually hosting nodes, including how many nodes being hosted by your organisation.
Hi NyeFe, NBitcoin currently supports Mac and Linux using Mono. On our roadmap will be moving to .NET Core which is the latest version of the framework, .NET Core is the first version to be opened source and also support Windows, OSX and Linux with no need for 3rd party emulators. Librarys will be developed for the various Stratis API's and blockchains in JS, Java, Python etc, but the core of the platform will be developed in C#/.NET. C# is one of the most dominant languages in corporate software development. Stratis is going to open up Blockchain development to a huge new user base of developers. The Stratis Main blockchain will be fully decentralized, so it cannot be compared to Ripple. I've got a question concerning the fiat gateway.
As far as I understand, it's meant to enable companies to pay for blockchain service directly in FIAT currencies instead of Stratis Tokens in order for them to avoid the volability risk of crypto, right ?
What about Stratis tokens, then ? The whitepaper mentions their finite supply, combined with their need to use the services should mechanically make them worth more over time, but if you allow users to pay for service in FIAT currencies, where's the need for these tokens anymore ?
Plus, the consultancy service seems out of the scope too.
You're mentionning that for big corps potential needs, they'll be able to deal directly with the core Stratis team.
Same here, isn't it just taking away the biggest potential Stratis demand, by bypassing it with FIAT ?

Services will not be paid for in Fiat directly, all services have to be paid in Stratis. The Fiat gateways allow us to greatly simplify and stream line the process of purchasing the Stratis tokens required by these services. I do not agree that the consultancy service is out of scope. Any project claiming to provide business to business blockchain services, should have an incorporated business that these corporations can engage to provide design, development and deployment consultancy. See my post below for more details on the benefits provided by having a consultancy solutions provider. Im not familiar with these projects, but Im not aware of any startups offering private chain functionality that are targeting the corporate world in the same way as Stratis. Stratis is a unique platform is many ways.
I believe neither of those projects offer a Blockchain-As-A-Service platform that allows one click provisioning of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitshares and Waves nodes. While also being able to provision private chains via Stratis.

The underlying technology. It uses C# and .NET What i'm saying is, that you don't have to invest in any crypto coin, if you cannot effort to take a risk... look at the ETH crash, look at the DAO crash... if you don't have money stay away from crypto world from the start.
