Newcastle united were ulter shit and only got lucky.
I did not watch the match, but how lucky do you get to score 8 goals?
One way is you get lucky with one or two or three goals and then your opponents completely throw in the towel and the party starts, other than that you need to put in a half decent performance to win by that margin.

882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 26, 2023, 08:56:47 PM
Xavi may need to replace Iñigo Martínez with Kounde, while Ferran with Lewandowski.
Kounde needs a rest, Araujo is just returning from injury and they are lacking depth in the Center of the defense with Kounde and Christenssen playing many minutes, week matches like this means they should be giving a rest as the next weeks will have games coming in thick and fast.

Lewandoski also needs a rest, while Ferran needs more playing time. He has been impressive the minutes he has been on the pitch but those minutes have become very scarce of late since the loan deal of Joao Felix.

883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA on a real account: does it work? on: September 26, 2023, 08:51:18 PM
I'm a big fan of DCA, so I created my own strategy using Pine Script in TradingView. It combines dollar cost averaging, grid trading, and my own creativity.
How exactly do you plan to combine grid trading as well as dollar cost averaging and what forms your own creativity?
DCA is not a trading strategy although it looks like it in some way, it is more of an investment strategy and a long term one specifically for those who do not want to go through the burden of reading charts and trying to pick the best time to buy and to sell.

I'm not a trader, so I was looking for a more passive approach to investing. I'm hoping that this strategy will be a good fit for me.
Simple DCA is a passive approach already, you do not need to complicate it and include grid trading.

Barcelona have enough time to win this match in the end, but even if they do perform another comeback like they did over the weekend there are still lots of issues to address in the team.
The defense has not been solid several times and they have to be bailed by Ter Stergen in many of their matches, he has not been very sharp today and they have gone behind twice.

Barcelona should be winning matches like this convincingly and also their last match at home to Celta Vigo if they are to compete at the highest level again.

885  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HTX (Huobi) hacked, $8 million lost on: September 26, 2023, 08:32:51 AM
It's just getting ridiculous at this point with all of those hacks in the last few weeks:
It has always been ridiculous over the past few years. I do not think there has been a period where there was a significant drop in hacks from centralized exchanges ranging from loss of funds to loss of personal information. Basically anything stored with a third party should be considered compromised already.

Look at what the Justin thug tweeted  Grin

Quote
$8 million represents a relatively small sum in comparison to the $3 billion worth of assets held by our users. It also amounts to just two weeks' revenue for the HTX platform.

Quote
We are willing to offer 5% of the stolen amount (400,000 USD) as a white hat reward to encourage the hacker to return the stolen funds. If the hacker returns the funds, we will also hire them as a security white hat advisor for HTX.
So return the money for 1/20 of the stolen amount with no guarantee of immunity? That is a ridiculous offer, makes us wonder if there are other previous hackers working behind the scenes in these exchanges to secure our assets.

886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 26, 2023, 08:12:03 AM
These completely immature players were faced with the huge responsibility of defending Chelsea and it was clear that most of them were not ready to carry out this task. If we look at the performance of each of these players at their previous club, they actually always performed well and were even the key to victory, but when they joined one of the big teams in a more competitive competition they became bad.
You cannot narrow it down the player being immature, it can also be the style of play and general atmosphere around the club.
Take Joao Felix as an example, he underperformed at Chelsea during his loan spell at the club but is performing excellently at Barcelona which is a much bigger club.

Chelsea needs an overhaul. The management, ownership and scouting has been poor, this leads to the performances on the pitch that we have seen over the last weeks.
There has also been a loss of leaders in the dressing room with Players like Azpilicueta leaving and has left the club lacking in key areas.

For me this was a perfect win,i got a correct result on luton so that boosted me hard plus got two extra points and i was the best this week so at least i won the free bet. Plus now im second in the pool so this for me is amazing and want to grab that first place as soon as possible.
Great job man. Some weeks are pretty difficult to predict for most, but such weeks can work out just well for others who were expecting some of the surprises that we got this match week.

In addition to the freebet you also get a free Southampton jersey. This was announced last week, so double the fun for you.

This was quite an unpredictable week with Luton winning their first point and Austin Villa winning away against Chelsea.
In hindsight I feel I should have predicted more draws than I did as teams are starting to settle down in the league. Not the best of weeks with my Rankin sinking down fast.

Brighton for me were the most impressive. Coming off their loss in the aEuropa league and the tired legs they must have as the games comes thick and fast, I expected Brighton to really struggled even though it was against a weker opponents, but they were impressive for most of the game.

For Arsenal, it was 2 points dropped and not one point gained.

889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: September 23, 2023, 11:04:30 AM
I think some of you will be very happy if you trade in bitcoins without gambling...
Trading is equally addictive and if not done right the person can lose out big time just as they would in gambling.
My point is that every risk can hurt someone and if the person does not apply any strategy to reduce the risk and build enough self control to know how much money to spare, they will lose out.

People have lost trading and investing in bitcoin cause they did not start for the right reasons (they FOMOed it when they saw others making profits), or they did not gain enough knowledge before going in.

890  Economy / Reputation / Re: Looks like a phishing attack! Should we avoid them? on: September 23, 2023, 05:56:42 AM
Yes bro, He bought copper membership to use it for phishing attack as a newbie cant send the PM's as fa r I know,
Newbies can send PMs but it is restricted to one in an hour and max of two in a day. These numbers can not be used to spread phishing links, so the user had to purchase copper membership to be able to send more PMs to more recipients and hop that at least one of them clicks on it.

Is there any reason why no one from your marketing management is posting here what you guys have posted on social media accounts like Instagram, which has so many promo codes and contests?
...
Edit: My bad https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408265.0
That rule is about any giveaway or promo code that requires those interested to drop a reply on the thread, cause it encourages projects to do it and give their thread more visibility.

Other reasons why they may not be re-posting here is the team is testing out how successful certain marketing strategies are on certain platforms and do not want to be posting it across multiple platforms at the same time.

But wait a minute, does Onana deserve to be completely blamed for conceding 4 goals when beaten by a team that had a better attack line than Manchester United's defense? I think Onana performed better in that match, otherwise Onana would have conceded 9 goals instead of 4 goals.
I will not blame him for conceding 4 goals, but he is to be blamed for the first goal that went in. At this level of football no keeper should be letting that past them. But it is important to notes that higher pressure is on keepers and their mistakes are always costly. A midfielder can misplace a pass or miss a control and it gets overlooked immediately, same with a striker who can fail to make a run or miss a sitter and it is not such a big deal. But any error by a keeper costs the team 9 times out of 10.

Onana still has lots of matches to prove his doubters wrong and he is one of the best keepers with the ball at his feet, he just is not in a team that plays out of the back.

893  Other / Meta / Re: Mini tutorial for using PM on: September 22, 2023, 07:02:43 PM
I found this guide to be really useful. There are one or two Pms I revert back to very often to access links in them and I struggle some of the time to locate them as the message list grows longer and it gets buried beneath several other messages.
Labels will really help to categorize them into High, medium and low priority.

Today I learned something new, but wouldn't it be easier to use search by username feature? You can search using the username and customize the display, whether the results are first or last, or Show full message in results.
Searching does not replace labels. It functions similar to the watchlist for threads which does not affect searches made.

un_rank               -> Hero Member from New Era Newbie during Merit System kick-off.
It has been an amazing 1½ years spent on the forum and this has been the most impactful platform I have used within that time period. THe ranks does not matter much to me, which was what influenced my choice of username, but I do like the feeling of getting merits from other members for my contribution and I will want to appreciate every member who has given me smerits for my contribution here.

Just as Bitcoin, Bitcointalk remains top of the pack.

895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: September 21, 2023, 08:42:53 PM
It's a dream night for Brighton fans who are watching their team play European football in their grounds for the first time in the club history.
They are currently playing a 2 goal draw, but that will not deter the team or the fans from enjoying their night and making as much noise as possible.

The next agenda will be to become regular faces in European competitions and maybe look towards a Champions league spot in the coming years.

Edit; it's 3-2 against Brighton now, but the fans are still having a good time.

896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seniors apply patience and kindness to newcomers on: September 21, 2023, 07:07:25 PM
Occasionally, some experienced members can be quite harsh and may forget that newcomers are here to learn. While constructive corrections are beneficial, it's crucial to avoid using harsh or abusive language.
You really have to develop a thick skin to be on the internet. You cannot expect cordial communication from strangers on the internet, so it is better to try not to be affected by them.
Many of the users here in my observation keep communication civil except for a few trolls. Blunt communication is not harsh or abusive.

It's true that some posts from newcomers may be of low quality or show a lack of willingness to learn initially. However, I believe that giving them a chance and treating them with kindness is a reasonable approach.
There are so much repetitive low value posts, which contributes to some of the replies that people get on their threads.

897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 21, 2023, 06:37:39 PM
This is not a sad story cause the person in the story was able to set up a cold storage just in time for the family to be able to access his bitcoins. It will have been really sad if they were not able access it and those coins were lost forever.

Anyone who holds up to 1BTC or even up to $1000 - $5000 worth of bitcoins should create a way in which those coins will not be lost if they lose access to it through a tragic incidence. We should have at least one person with knowledge of how bitcoin works and if we fear they can steal it from us while we are still alive, then we can use a timelocked transaction or address.

898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Guide for Cryptocurrency Newbies for Overcoming FOMO on: September 21, 2023, 06:21:11 PM
This comes timely cause we will soon be seeing lots of posts about bull market and the halving which is coming up next year.
FOMO will drive lots of new investors into many coins with little or no value as they chase the profits that they see in blogs about certain coins which have given a certain return on investment and they are driven to buy shitcoins.
OP you do not need to write the topic title at the beginning of the thread and do not have to increase the size or change the color of the text. And as already suggested, you do not need images within texts, this forum is majorly text based so we should only use images when it is really necessary to relay a message.

899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good fundamentals don't ensure a great investment. on: September 21, 2023, 06:03:35 PM
This is not a bitcoin discussion topic so you should move it from this thread to the Altcoin discussion session or Economics.

In summary, a project's fundamentals are only one piece of the investment puzzle, especially when dealing with highly inflationary tokens.
There are so many pieces to a good investment, but a good fundamental is a very big part of that. Any project that can get the basics right and build something that is in demand and has properties that investors are looking for, it will be able to market itself giving enough time.

...and lastly (CMIIW) —  users can ask for donations in their posts and signatures,
As I understand it, you can only request donations if it is going to the running of a community service like a telegram bot or image hosting website.

Simply asking for donations in a thread with no valid reason breaks rule number 7, No Begging.
