"Drama thread" I certainly do avoid those especially the ones created in the reputation and scam accusation board about some forum users getting involved in some kind of shitty stuffs. They certainly know how to play out a drama in some of the threads I have seen. But I feel reading and involving in educative thread about BTC is one way of advancing yourself into a fully loaded crypto enthusiast.

I spend some good quality time reading and learning new things I never knew before here on the forum and I must confess, these drama threads on reputation and scam accusation board could be quite entertaining. Asides from threads about members taking out loans and then defaulting on such loans(it’s not cool having to read about lenders having to deal with bad debts), it could be quite interesting reading though these drama threads. You could learn a thing or two from them. You could also find some of these drama threads amusing.

Leading the standings from the start of the season to the end of the season does not mean Arsenal have a winning mentality. Arsenal lost a lot of focus when Manchester City began to show consistency in their game, and Arsenal have been under pressure since then.

Manchester City actually managed to maintain consistency while Arsenal lost points in a number of matches, so of course this proves that Arsenal don't actually have a winning mentality when they are under pressure. When Arsenal's concentration is disturbed because of pressure from Manchester City or other teams, then Arsenal don't deserve to win the title, even for next season.

Arsenal started having issues due to injuries and fatigued players after having played matches consistently. Due to these and perhaps other factors, Arsenal became inconsistent and slowly declined from their winning ways and began to lose and draw games.

It sure didn’t help Arsenal seeing Manchester City hot at their heels, gaining points and closing the gap between them. So yes, I would say there was some pressure on Arsenal but what could they possibly do? With injured and fatigued players, there was little they could do as they could only watch as Manchester City came up to them and overtook them and finally won the league.

I still think Arsenal had at some point, a winning mentality in them. Cause they ended up coming in second place doesn’t mean they don’t. Perhaps they also lost focus and became inconsistent in their games.

883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 02, 2023, 09:23:09 PM

But do you think that these guys need to marketing anything they do with a boxing fight or MMA fight? I mean when Zuckerberg and Musk announce a project, what else is required in your opinion to have a successful marketing campaign for whatever they could be planning?

Surely, they don’t need to market anything and spread word about it with a fight. Whenever any of them tweet or posts anything, that’s marketing enough and it would reach millions of people worldwide in minutes like you also noted.
You’re also right when you say this proposed fight is very unrealistic as this is a fight that would now be speculated and talked about but would never become a reality. Whatever the case may be, both men actually have nothing to gain with this fight.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 02, 2023, 05:09:55 PM
Arsenal failed to win the Premier League because they could not maintain their consistency. I think the reason is that they don't really have the proper preparation and they don't have a lot of options to rotate players, so fatigue and injury became a big problem for them. Besides that, Arsenal also don't really have a winning mentality, one important thing that their rival (Man City) has.

Arsenal had failed to maintain their consistency due to injuries and most likely fatigue too as the same players were the ones playing all the time. But I don’t really get what you meant by Arsenal not having a winning mentality. I think they’ve got a winning mentality and that’s why they had been leading the league table for a while.

They had been winning their games and gathered some good points to be a bit ahead. That’s a winning mentality in my book. They had suffered some set back and lost points which led to Manchester City who was hot at their heels overtake them and finally win the league. Manchester City no doubt  has a winning mentality and is a superb team.

Very soon, the truth will prevail and we will know the reason why this was done, or we may never know, but I really don't think that there is going to be a serious cage fight between two tech giants and billionaires who even if have something going on, this is not necessary for that.

There isn’t going to be any fight. As for a reason on why this fight was even conceived in the first place, who knows? I think this was done for jokes and to see how people would speculate about who would turn out the winner. I bet both of them would be laughing their asses off while reading comments and seeing both their social media apps flood with posts about the fight.
I would think this was done to remain relevant and be still talked about and trending but those two are always trending and talked about. They’re billionaires with their own social media apps.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gospel Preachers: Is Bitcoin the Last Currency in the World? on: June 30, 2023, 04:10:44 PM
I don't know in the last step of Bitcoin everyone will only use it and no any other currency will exist again. So I like to hear from some Biblical Scholars in the forum to tell me more on this topic. This thing that I said is inside the Holy Bible but I can't recall the scripture but it is in the book of "Revelation".

The US dollar is widely accepted. Far accepted than bitcoin.  What's to say that isn't the one currency you're talking about. Bitcoin isn't accepted nor is it used by the whole world and even if it is adopted by every nation later in the future, bitcoin is most likely not your one currency that the Bible talked about.
I think if such a currency would exist and to be used as a world currency, don't you think the currency would be in paper form.

Manchester City will definitely miss Gundogan, his a player with so much technical abilities likewise tactically, meanwhile Pep Guardiola letting go of his best player's means no harm to City, take a look at Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and also Zinchenko who all left for various clubs, they didn't feel the loss if those player's even though they're solid players who was part of the first team. I can't wait for the season to kick off honestly, currently I still don't see any club capable of outplaying them in the Premier League.

Manchester City would definetely miss Gundogan. I know I would miss seeing him play amongst City lads. He's an experienced player and Barcelona is lucky to have him on their squad.

Pep letting go of some of his best players really hasn't done any harm to the club. I had envisioned Sterling to have a much longer stay at Manchester City and was a bit surprised when he left the club to Chelsea. Same with Gabriel Jesus when he left for Arsenal. They didn't feel a single bit the loss of these players as they're still in amazing form.

I bet you're not alone in waiting for the season to kick off. I too am waiting for the next season of the premier league to start. It would be interesting to see what team would try to outplay City.
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 30, 2023, 02:30:20 PM

But in a situation where the government fails in its responsibility of providing a basic standard of living for its citizens, it becomes hard for the citizens to obey the law by paying taxes.

This is the dilemma in it in a situation that the government does not carry out her obligations especially aspect of finance from the tax payers money. It is still a crime to evade payment of tax because it has been made a law and contravention of it attracts punishment or fine. However, whether the government does the right thing is also in the jurisdiction of the law that holds the government accountable for public funds.

Yes, it's still a crime to evade tax despite how the person may feel about his tax payments being used for things he may not like or agree with. In some cases where the government is deeply corrupt and despite taxing heavily their citizens, there is nothing to show for it. No infrastructure or a failing public service, it would be less pleasant paying taxes.

Ordinarily, I think people wouldn't mind and would happily pay their  taxes if the public service works as it should. I know I would. But when the government is not accountable for public funds or you don't like what the government uses money to do, the best thing is to vote them out and not evade paying tax.
889  Other / Meta / Re: What does post quality really mean on: June 30, 2023, 01:53:55 PM
Sometimes we are too concerned about meeting a certain post standard that we forget one important tool about posting and that is originality and uniqueness. Aside from the fact that your post must be insightful and educative, some posters try to imitate a certain pattern of posting style and forget to be unique.

I think it's a bit frustrating to see that you make quality posts yet the reward (merits) are not forthcoming. The best thing to do is to keep up the work, before you know it, you'd get not just merits where you didn't expect it and also, the more quality content you drop, you become recognized by merit sources in the forum.

You're right. A whole lot of people are concerned about being seen as or tagged a spammer that they copy the writing styles of someone else that they perceive to be a quality poster.
We're all different and unique in our own way and express ourselves differently and being anonymous on the forum, I see no reason why we can't be ourselves.

It could be quite frustrating  to make posts we think are quality posts and don't receive any merit for it but that's why there are open threads where you could submit yours or someone else's posts that you think are merit worthy.
Also, if we're all posting on here to educate ourselves on different subjects, then it wouldn't be so frustrating if we don't receive as much merits as we think we deserve.

There's no point in Pogba staying at Juventus if he doesn't recover. He is a very good player, but after serious injuries it is very difficult for players to return, and Pogba has not played football for a very long time. That's why I don't think it can perform as well as it used to.
In fact, for those in his situation, it would be a very good idea to sign with Saudi Arabian teams. At least he'll make a lot of money and have fought in an easier league in the last years of his career. Of course, if he can recover, he will still remain one of the best players in Europe Smiley

There's actually no point in Pogba staying over at Juventus if he doesn't recover fully as he won't have much playing time and would be slowly getting less and less relevant. And a player recovering from a long leave of absence wouldn't be in top form like he used to be.
People in his situation  would be very tempted to sign with Saudi clubs cause the money is good and the player would be in most cases really relevant in the Saudi club. While money is a motivating factor to join a Saudi club, some players would prefer to play where the exicetment is. Pogba may still have a role to play at Juventus.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 30, 2023, 01:09:27 PM
Arsenal is the only team that can compete with Manchester city as it stand, they have got the right player to give Manchester city a tough competition next season. last season they bottled the league because they got no good squad to rotate, every weekend it was just set of first eleven and they got some injuries issues too. But now they have a good bench to rotate and rest some players.

I don't think Arsenal is the only team that can compete with Manchester city in the premier league. They've got the right players alright, but Manchester City is far superior to Arsenal and this is just my opinion.

Admittedly, Arsenal suffered some setback due to injuries and lack of available players that could properly handle those roles. I still think Arsenal is a strong contender for the league cup along with Manchester United and perhaps Newcastle like you noted.

I would also like to see how Brighton would have prepared for the upcoming season. They had a somewhat good run last season and had given some big clubs hell on the pitch. I would like to see what preparations they've made for the next season.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: June 30, 2023, 06:08:25 AM
We will have to face the reality that life will be very tough as long as there is a war that spends maybe at least 100+ billion a year, probably more. Plus it prevents the world to be connected, that's the issue and I believe that we are going to face a lot of trouble because of it as well. We need to do a lot better overall, that's just the way it should be considered in the end.

When there is any form of insecurity in the land, there can never be any growth nor development that could take place. A full blown war is far worse as we've all seen it destabilize the food production going on in the country.
I too have fears that the war in Ukraine is coming to an end any time soon and the war between both parties has shaken the rest of the world. Both countries before the beginning of the war, provide either goods and services that was very vital to a lot of countries and now, those goods and services provided have either been cut drastically or stopped in its entirety and that has felt a big blow to economies of different countries.

We would need peace in order for growth and development. For the world to be connected, we may need a whole lot more than peace.
893  Other / Meta / Re: What does post quality really mean on: June 30, 2023, 05:22:26 AM
While merits is generally perceived as a tool that rewards good and quality posts, I wouldn’t use just someone’s merit count to just label the person a good and quality poster.
Merits are given to posts whom one perceived are good and quality or even funny posts. Hence, what could be described as quality posts could vary between users.

Generally, I would say a quality post could be said to be posts that are engaging, informative, accurate and relevant to the discussions at hand.
When people want to read what you’ve posted as there are things to be learnt, then you could say you’re a quality poster.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 30, 2023, 05:01:38 AM
People find loop holes to go around paying their taxes all the time or trying to reduce what would be paid. While some extremely rich people find a way to avoid paying their fair share in taxes. Would you say these guys are good guys still?
Understandably, in some places, paying taxes are seen almost like a burden on the individual but taxes are used to bolster the infrastructures in place and also to help manage the public service. So taxes are instrumental in running the country.
I definitely know you won’t be regarded as a good person if you evade tax. Tax evasion is frowned upon by the authorities in most countries as well. Better not to evade tax.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 29, 2023, 09:45:14 PM
Manchester United won only one Champions League trophy almost two decades ago but then they did not win any Champions League trophy in the long 24 years. Manchester United are no longer considered favorites for the Champions League trophy. The only means of achieving European excellence is the Champions League trophy. They haven't won a Champions League trophy in a long time but they have no problem with that, they are only lying with the Premier League trophy and other minor tournament titles. After the change of ownership, Man U fans started to dream about this team again. If the plan goes according to plan and some changes are made in important places, maybe two eras will end their wait.

It would surely be an achievement if Manchester United could win the Champions league trophy. It's still a bit early to know if Manchester United could compete and actually have a chance at the trophy. I wouldn't hold my breath for long though as It's safe to say they're no longer considered favorites for the trophy.

But there's still hope for the club with Ten Hag at the helm. He has lifted the hopes of fans all over and I hope he could deliver.
The Champions league trophy might in my opinion still be out of their reach at the moment, they're still great contenders for the premier league.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 29, 2023, 03:36:59 PM
Pep Guardiola has always treated Manchester City like his own family. He was elated by Manchester City's win and upset by Manchester City's defeat. He has always planned something unique for the betterment of the team. He had additional plans for the team players. He gave more importance to the side bench players than the regular team players. Because if any of the regular players are injured or have injury problems, the side bench players can provide a good backup, this was the main objective of Pep Guardiola. Manchester City have had the most success this season due to adopting some unique techniques.Pep Guardiola may want to strengthen his side's bench.

Well, that shows that he's committed to the job and I agree with you that Pep is a committed manager alright. Asides being committed to the job, he's also an experienced coach that knows his onions.
Manchester City has had a good run due to his expertise and of course his tactics used. They've got a squad that doesn't rely on just their first team to win the game and are presently the best team in the premier league. Gündoğan, having recently left the club to Barcelona won't in my opinion make much of an impact as they've still got what It takes to still win games.

I love the job Mikel Arteta is doing with the team, since his arrival he has changed the team’s mentality and impacted a new system that has shown to be good and productive and efficient. Three seasons ago we wouldn’t have imagined Arsenal will cough out a whopping £106 million for a single player, this just shows how much influence he commands at the club at the moment. It is unfortunate their quest for the league trophy was unsuccessful last season but they did their considering the quality of players Manchester City has at their disposal. Arsenal are looking to try again next season with Arteta making good additions to the squad.

He has brought about some good change in the club. It's really unfortunate that they couldn't finish first place after holding onto the position for a while and they had also looked good for the trophy. This new season would be really competitive but I believe Arteta is trying to put in place some new and improved tactics and players that would weather the storm.

Of course he would have some level of influence in the club; he had a very good run in the just concluded season and he would be pretty much given what he needs in order to perform even better.
It would be interesting seeing Arsenal in the champions league. It's hard to predict their fate at the moment but it would surely be an excitingly season.
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 29, 2023, 11:46:43 AM
This fight would have never took place and it was a bit funny to see that some people actually believed this would happen. I followed this when both Elon and Mark wrote about on their respective social media platforms. It looked a lot like rich dudes having fun and jokes seeing how the common masses would react.

Supposing a fight were ever to take place(which I think it would never take place), I would pick Mark to have a win over Elon. Both men practice different and separate martial art styles and are supposedly good at it too. Mark is younger and he's more fit than Elon is. The fight would probably be a short one as Mark would probably win by either a submission or a KO. Lol.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 29, 2023, 06:14:24 AM

You are right that financial problems in Serie A clubs are nothing new. But what always attracted me to Serie A clubs is that Serie A clubs sometimes they just buy normal players who don't have high prices in the first place. But then this ordinary player for several seasons at the Serie A club actually turned into a player who has a high reputation and made his price very high and attracted the attention of many clubs from other leagues to sign him. In the past, Osimhen (Napoli) was also not very well known when he first entered Naples. But from season to season his reputation continues to grow. And make the price increase in the transfer market. In fact, only armed with players who are not too expensive, it turns out that clubs from Serie A can compete fiercely in the European League and in the Champions League. this is the privilege that clubs from Serie A have.

I tend to agree with you on how a previously unknown player in the Italian league would get much better in his performance and have his worth increase in the transfer market.
Financial problems in the Italian league is actually nothing new and that's one bit of restraint holding the league from being the most competitive. They haven't got the funds to purchase top notch or already established players and that's why they've got to make do with getting players who aren't too pricy.
Osimhen has had his worth grow steadily as his performance also grew better at Napoli. And now, you can't think of Napoli without Osimhen also coming to your mind.

I bet that all of them could have found a contract in Europe that would have been a lower payment, they just wanted to take the money that's the only reason. I know it sounds like that's not the only reason but do you really think that Kante couldn't find a team?

Yeah, I’m also willing to bet that most of them(if not all) could have found a contract in Europe that won’t pay as well as the Saudis. Money is the deciding factor when it comes down to these types of transfers. Kante, in my opinion is a very good and talented player and I always loved watching him work the midfield at Chelsea.
And a player like him can find a team that wouldn’t pay as much as the Saudis but would love to have him on the squad.
