881  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 20, 2023, 12:30:26 AM
I think the saying "women are more economical than men" comes from old times, when the wealth of a person was valued by his property, and women were mostly did all the housework, while men worked. Nowadays, there is a tiny gap between which gender is more economical, as both genders earn and spend more than in past.

You pointed it right. I didn't understand why people divided these things by gender when everyone got equal rights and contributed to their family almost equally. The title of this thread is not right when a girl finds a sugar daddy. They spend millions on a vacation and do not care about how that money is earned. Sometimes, I feel like I should give all my money to my wife so she can manage how much to spend and where.

When I get my salary and start spending it on their needs, at some point, I get broke, and she asks for the breakdown. Where did you spend all the money? Well, it's all there. You asked for this and that, and I bought them all. So, why are you asking?

883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Ban Cryptocurrency {Bitcoin} on: October 19, 2023, 11:30:48 AM
I don't think that's their reason and they know what the real reason is, so even when crypto experts explain, they ignore it. If you are them, try to think: did crime come first or did bitcoin come first? And before bitcoin was born, what did criminals use for their crimes?
I don't think governments are stupid enough to not know those basics.

You won't be able to convince them with this kind of explanation. Bangladeshi ministers use these things as an excuse. No matter what, what was born first. They think criminal activity will increase if they legalize Bitcoin here. Yes, they are stupid enough to give these excuses. They think Bitcoiners are criminals and only use Bitcoin to pay for their crimes.

Another reason is that the government always wants to control your money. They want tax from your every transaction. If they legalize Bitcoin and you start paying using Bitcoin, they won't know these things. They won't be able to control you.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 19, 2023, 11:18:55 AM
I love bitcoin hodling as well as trying to learn bitcoin. Because this is my own theoretical practice. When I learn something new about bitcoin and try to apply it to my hodling e. I can also do hodling and learn about Bitcoin. Do you think my way is right?
If you have a better way, please suggest me.

I am not sure what you can do with your holding by learning new things about bitcoin except to secure it more. Once you learn something new about bitcoin, you have to do transactions to test those features. Your holding has nothing to do with it. But you can secure your wallet where you are holding your Bitcoin. For example, suppose you were holding your Bitcoin in exchanges but you learned that they don't give yo full access to your Bitcoin. So you decided to choose a new wallet that gives you your private key and you moved your Bitcoin out of exchange. That's what you can do to secure your holdings. I am unsure if you can apply anything else to your holding learning new things.

886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Ban Cryptocurrency {Bitcoin} on: October 19, 2023, 03:06:39 AM
Maybe the president and politicians won't know about bitcoin because they have thousands of things to worry about but they have not just one but thousands of consultants and experts in every field working for them. It would be naive to assume they would introduce bans or regulations without knowing anything about bitcoin. I bet the government understands bitcoin better than you and I, let alone the fact that they don't understand how bitcoin works. If they were more stupid than us, they wouldn't be able to lead us.

I don't know about other countries. But I know about my country. The government doesn't know anything good about Bitcoin. They have experts in every field, and those experts use Bitcoin secretly. LOL. They think Bitcoin users are criminals. Only criminals use Bitcoin to pay for their crimes. Some ministers have good knowledge of Bitcoin. For example, the Bangladeshi IT minister knows about Bitcoin, and he always supports it. But others do not agree with him because others don't understand how it works and why it's good. Some government Anal-yst say Bitcoin will open the door to money laundering. They sounds like money laundering is not happening without Bitcoin.

888  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gaza and international law!! on: October 19, 2023, 02:18:27 AM
Yes, and we know that at least sinc last weak, where they went after several thousand Israeli civilians, except from the rocket launches by Hamas. Israel has it's "Iron Dome" for a reason.  Wink

That was brutal. I do not support anyone's attacks. Not even from Hamas. Usually, they were attacking Israel as a reaction to Israel's attack except for the attack on 7th October.

Unfortunately, Hamas took power in Gaza 2006/2007 from democratic Fatah and (no surprise) Hamas banned democratic elections. Since then, no democratic vote was hold in Gaza and Hamas started to ramp up their bullshit.
I am not aware of their Inside story about who is ruling Gaza at this moment. If that's the case, it's not appreciatable.

Wipe Israel off the map.  Lips sealed
You and I both know it's impossible. If I am not wrong, they have only 40,000 members in their organization, and they don't have the special weapons that Israel has. It's kinda ant and Elephant fight. Palestine does not want to wipe of Israel off the map. They want freedom from them.

The problem is that "fighting for freedom" for Hamas means to bomb Israelis to death.  Roll Eyes
That's not how peace is achieved.
Of course, the religious israeli right wants to wipe Palestine off the map.
With such folks, peace is impossible.
These conflicts have been happening for ages; Israel built everything with their power and their invasion of the Palestinian people was continuous just like Russia did in Ukraine. People react at first, and then they forget things day by day.

That's what I hope for Palestinians as well.
But that won't be possible with Hamas because peace is no option for Hamas until Israel is wiped off the map.
You seem so sure about their goal. I don't think they want to wipe Israel off the map.
But I am not sure. If they have different goals except getting freedom from Israel, it's not acceptable.

No need to lecture me on the issue I'm well aware about this conflict.

I am no one to lecture you. I just wanted to share my POV with you with full respect which I mentioned at the start of my previous post. You seem to take it negatively. I feel like you did not watch the videos I referred to. Those are not any news. I respect you, and I thought you did too. But your usage of those emojis gives a different message dear 1miau.
889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gaza and international law!! on: October 19, 2023, 01:04:49 AM
---

With due respect, I don't know who did this and who did that. But I know that Israel is an illegal country born in 1948 out of nowhere. You say Hamas is a terrorist organization. But do you understand how and why Hamas was born? What do they want? If any country builds an armed organization to get freedom, okay, I will support that organization.

Bangladesh and Pakistan were the same country before 1971. Pakistan has more power with the military and digital weapons, while Bangladesh does not have anything significant. Bangladesh built an organization named Mukti Bahini, and they fought against Pakistan to get freedom from them. Mukti Bahini got weapons from India, and they built some weapons on their own using local resource. India and the Soviet Union supported Bangladesh, while Pakistan had a big supporter, the USA. Do you think Mukti Bahini was a terrorist organization?

All Palestinians want is freedom from Israel and recognition from the world.

Still, If you say that organization is a terrorist group, it's up to you. I am supporting them in front of the world.
I can't stop crying since last night. I am giving you some links to some video clips. Watch them and let me know how you feel.

891  Economy / Services / Re: Suppliers from China on: October 18, 2023, 09:00:31 AM
Hello everyone  KissBTC
I am a collection machine supplier from China,
I have created a telegram channel, which will update the prices of mining equipment from China every day
If you are interested, you can follow me. Thank you very much.
https://t.me/RanShuo_Graphic

I thought you were giving the price signals from China only. But after checking your channel, it seems you are also selling GPUs. Forum members are unlikely to buy any GPUs or anything from a newbie without using an escrow service. Moreover, you did not mention in your post that you are selling GPUs in your telegram channel.

If I am not wrong, most GPUs are not profitable enough to mine coins now. So, why would people buy GPUs as mining gear unless they want to play with it? I guess those are used GPU, and those were used to mine coins. So, I don't think those cards will give the best gaming performance.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Ban Cryptocurrency {Bitcoin} on: October 18, 2023, 08:43:50 AM
Countries ban bitcoin for different reasons, some, the government (president) didn't even know anything about crypto but the financial advisers gave the wrong information or they advise the government wrongly on cryptocurrency.

You already answered yourself. First, some country's government doesn't even know how it works and why it's good for people. Even if they know, they want their people to use bitcoin because they will miss a huge commission. If their people use alternative methods like banks and other financial services, the government will get a commission from each and very transaction while bitcoin does not provide any commissions to the government. The government won't be able to control people's money. They won't be able to use your money whenever they want. Bank does business with their customer's money. It's like frying a fish with it's oil.

894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 18, 2023, 07:01:47 AM
Have any of you managed to teach your wife Bitcoin? Have any of you gifted bitcoin to a wife like me?

No, I did not gift Bitcoin to my wife, and she does not even bother about it. She knows I have Bitcoins but is not interested in learning how it works. Even though she knows my wallet password, she doesn't know how to send it or which one is the address. Now, I should teach her more about it.

She already knows about Bitcoin, but only knowing about Bitcoin doesn't help. If someone wants to use Bitcoin, they should have practical knowledge of how to do transactions and how not to get tricked by others.
895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fun way to learn "How bitcoin works" on: October 18, 2023, 06:54:31 AM
I did not know that banks take up to seven days to send money overseas because I had never sent money through the bank. I always paid some businesses where I bought services via Bitcoin, and I don't even know where they are located. There are some alternatives to send money instantly, like PayPal and other electronic currencies. But Bitcoin gives you more privacy and security.

It's true that how it works. But your friend needs to know how to set up his wallet and not choose the wrong one, such as exchanges as a wallet. At the beginning of my crypto journey, I picked centralized exchanges as a wallet as I thought those were the wallets to store my Bitcoin. I did not use those exchanges to keep many Bitcoins there. But my understanding was those are the wallets.

I learned that there are a variety of wallets, like non-custodial wallets and hardware wallets, that I can use to store my Bitcoin, giving me complete access to my Bitcoin. So, knowing a few more things before using Bitcoin is essential.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: October 18, 2023, 06:20:32 AM
150 USD/month for a family of 3 is a quite modest number for me, it's really a very low standard of living compared to the standard of living in my country. My family consists of 4 people, every month I have to spend about 400$-500$ and we are a poor family, belonging to the low-income class in my hometown. I am actually quite surprised with the level of spending in Bangladesh, it is so different from my country while my country is not richer than Bangladesh.

Well, everything depends. As I said, sometimes $500 for two people is too low an amount if you live in a city, you have to pay for the rent as well. However, most Bangladeshi have their own house in the village, and vegetables, fish, and rice are the main foods for Bangladeshi people. Maybe $150 is too low, but if they spend $200 for three people and they live in a village side, it's good enough. Because most Bangladeshi people have land to firm vegetables and Rice, it's not below standard. You can live like a king in some places with $200-$250 monthly. But everything is changing these days. There was a time when $100 was enough for a family in Bangladesh, and it's not too long ago.

897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Magical Is The Magic Money ? - Bitcoin on: October 17, 2023, 01:52:27 AM
We are not using Bitcoin the way Satoshi wanted to use it. Satoshi wanted to eliminate the involvement of 3rd parties, but we are using it with banks, centralized exchanges, etc. The moral have been changed in a decade. Still, we have options to use it correctly. Deal with the people you trust so you don't need 3rd party to get involved in your transaction.
Some people use Bitcoin transactions through centralized services and connect their trading activities with banks, cards without any break in between. It's not good practice for privacy and anonymity but it's personal choice. They are free to choose what they do and I can assume they don't care about either privacy or anonymity. They can change their mind and practice in future, anytime, because they have freedom to do so.

What I think is, once you have used those services and compromised your identity, you never know if they are going to sell your identity to others. Anything leaked on the internet is not safe anymore. Coinbase admits that their KYC data collector company sold users' data on the darknet for $1 each. So, we don't know if we are safe on any platform.

Banks are one hand on the government. They will give your information to the authorities whenever they ask. No, it is recommended not to use banks or cards to transact your cryptocurrency. But, who cares?

Not everyone can confirm or reject a transaction except those who have mining devices connected to mining pools

I guess he didn't mean that. By saying approve your transaction, maybe he means you don't need approvals from some special entities like the bank. Usually, miners do not reject any specific transaction if it has enough fees. No matter if it's scammer transactions. There is no way people can check who is the owner.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: October 17, 2023, 12:54:45 AM
my father and mother from my family have no knowledge of bitcoin so they keep persuading me to invest in bitcoin.

They don't understand bitcoin so they persuade you to buy it? Did I read it right?
Why? This sounds a bit crazy on their part.

I am sure he didn't mean that. I guess he used a translator to translate that part and that's where the mess happened. Or he used the wording without even understanding the meaning. In the next line, he admits that his parents do not understand anything about Bitcoin, and they think gold, bank deposits, or buying land is safer compared to Bitcoin.

Safer usually means less profitable. For instance, one of the safest investments is to buy foreign currency of a country with strong economy compared to yours, but this will barely allow you to make any money.

I won't say less profitable. However, safer methods take a long time to give the ROI. For example lands. I grew up seeing the land price triple in the last ten to fifteen years. Yes, it's less profitable if you compare it to other investments.

Roll Eyes
