881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Need Satoshi? on: October 20, 2023, 08:50:45 AM
We still need him if he really wants to return to the bitcoin community and continue to grow it. He is the one who created bitcoin, we should respect him, and never say we don't need him.

For those who don't hope for Satoshi's return, that's not to disrespect his masterpiece. The legacy left by Satohoshi must be maintained from generation to generation.
The way to honor Satoshi for his creation of Bitcoin which is a solution to a pretty good system is to convey to everyone about the advantages and uses of Bitcoin that are worth conveying.

I agree with the pool that they don't expect Satoshi to return because for me let Satoshi be a figure that no one knows so that he becomes the person who contributed most to the greatness of the Bitcoin system in modern financial technology.

The appearance of fake Satohosi in various rooms made me panic because I was still very young here, but I didn't easily believe that he was the hero.
882  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What wallet would you recommend? on: October 20, 2023, 08:05:26 AM
-snip-
Hi, and thank you for your response and the information in this post.
I looked at the website with the hardware wallets, and I found interesting (functionnality & where it is coming from) 3 of them:
- the Trezor safe 3
- the SecuX W20
- the D'cent biometric wallet
For all of them it is indicated that are available on Amazon, so does that mean that Amazon is a certified reseller? Or should I still purchase one of them from the manufacturer's website?
They have different parameters with which I do not quite know what to do, so which one do you think would be a good fit for me as a noob?

Amazon is one place to buy among several other places to buy available. Incidentally, in the table listing thebitcoinhole.com, the owner of the website includes Amazon as a place to buy and in my opinion the inclusion of Amazon is only to show the price of the product, not a recommendation.

Each country has different resellers and it is best to buy from official Trezor resellers or other hardware companies. As for Trezor, they also have an official reseller https://trezor.io/resellers.
As I come from Indonesia, on the website https://trezor.io/resellers there is a good place for me to buy products from Trezor called N Crypt as authorized resellers.

I learned this from my local senior who is very experienced in this field.

So, I think buying products from official resellers is safer and highly recommended.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 19, 2023, 11:53:46 AM
✂️
Everyone is holdle bitcoin in the bear market and planning to sell in the bull market, now, when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?

More than 70% of the assets I hold I will sell — I will most likely do so if the price reaches more than the previous ATH. If the market is only bullish and does not reach the previous ATH price, I will cancel my planned selling plan to continue accumulation and wait for the new ATH.
For me, selling bitcoins is too easy for me to do but accumulating bitcoins is quite difficult, just like resisting the temptation to hold in a market full of FUD.

When I was able to hold on strongly until the price reached a new ATH, I felt I had received an award certificate of extraordinary value because the target to get to the final goal was full of challenges, unlike how other people see someone's success, meaning people might see the path taken as very smooth. but it is not.

Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?

Stop gambling not because of other people, but because of your own desires. Stopping gambling because of other people's causes, for me is still good because a ban can have a positive impact. What's unfortunate is that you can never stop despite strong encouragement from other people.
So, there is no specific answer in answering your question because it all depends on each individual.
If the question were reversed, what would you answer?
885  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: October 19, 2023, 09:35:50 AM
Liverpool vs Everton - Another 12:30pm Saturday kick off for Klopp’s men, he will not be happy. I will be attending the game with my brother, my 2nd game this season. I’m expecting us to get back to winning ways after being robbed at Spurs and denied a win by a battling Brighton team in the last 2 games. Prediction 2-0 LFC.

2-0 the most likely score in the Merseyside derby. Victory for Liverpool is the first option in betting. Liverpool are good and Everton are not so good.

Newcastle vs C Palace - sportsbet.io sponsored Newcastle are getting back to the form of last season. No way Hodgson’s men take anything back to London. Prediction 3-0 Toon.

3-0 is too big a score even though Newcastle has returned to a good game. I might dare to predict Newcastle to win with a score of no more than 2.
Hodgson's team could give Newcastle a surprise because from head to head, a draw might be repeated.

Chelsea vs Arsenal - This game could throw up a surprise, clearly Arsenal are in much better form, on paper a far superior team but this is a London Derby. The home crowd will be fired up, I think Chelsea can get a positive result. Prediction Draw.

Yes. I agree that the result of the London derby will be a draw.
Your assessment of Arsenal's game is not wrong. Chelsea is on the rise. So Arsenal must be careful. Stamford Bridge could provide sterility for Odegaard and his friends.
886  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What wallet would you recommend? on: October 19, 2023, 09:08:59 AM
Hi,
I will be a new miner soon and as I am documenting myself, I did not find anything about what wallet would be best to use, or where I could find wallets to use, OK?

To see a list of wallets that you want to use.
1. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=1
2. 17 Software Wallets
3. 46 Hardware Wallets

I have accounts at cripto.com, and shakepay, and they have their wallets, so should I use those, or are there other alternatives.

Don't use the wallet I underlined and any type of wallet that is not clear even though I don't know about the wallet you are referring to. A good wallet choice that you can use is a wallet that you can control the seed phrase yourself without any gaps for the dev in the series of seed phrase words generated from the wallet.

Electrum is my answer to software wallets and also uses hardware wallets.

888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stainless steel or Titanium on: October 18, 2023, 12:09:42 PM
Better stainless steel. Better round metal to use.

Trying to write seed phrase in materials such as stainless steel is not wrong because we have created stronger security. But is not a laminated paper that can also function well to write Seed Phrase because we have backups that are stored in several places that are not connected to the internet if there is still the intention to sell Bitcoin when the time has come.

You don't need anybody's permission to send them a PM.  If you're using PMs to promote something or whatever, those might get reported but you don't need to feel timid just because someone has a higher rank than you or has been here longer.  Ideally we should be helping each other, and that's kind of tough when there appears to be a hierarchy, power structure, or the like that inhibits communication.

TL;DR: Feel free to PM me, any of you.

Fear that has turned into courage. This happened after getting an extraordinary input for me to look into myself closer so that my confidence increased because he asked to review my post. During this time I do it very often routinely on the local board and find many positive things.

I had thought carefully about various advice that I would never find the location of the shortcomings if I did not have the courage to ask people to do it because I only had two eyes and it turned out to be true for positive things.

So, I have thrown away that fear and ventured to things that can bring my self-change. It turned out that the wisdom was quite large because all the input was valuable even though initially scared asking people to visit the profile and ask to review a post like fear of my mother when he was scolded and ignored because the level of confidence was not ready.

Just like I responded to this, courage was 70%, the rest was fear and over time I would continue to try to decrease.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 11:20:58 AM
We all know that gambling is a game where we put our luck to the test. However, there's a crucial moment in every gambler's journey. the moment when you hit that big win. Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

50:50.

Players who still spend very little time in gambling games will be very lucky if they are ready to withdraw all their winnings and stop gambling. For players who have been gambling for a long time, maybe they have the principle that stopping means giving up bigger wins.
I would probably cash out up to 70% of the total winnings and stop playing at that casino. If there are plans to return to playing, I will look for another casino considering that I am not the type of active gambler who always thinks about gambling. For me, gambling games are just for entertainment and testing luck.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 17, 2023, 09:58:36 AM
Although I haven't seen how it looks, at a glance I can assume that the inclusion of trading features in a casino is an opportunity created by the casino amidst the player's gaming hobby. At first glance, this might be a form of implementation that trading is gambling. CMIIW
The trading features at the casino as intended are definitely different from trading on the exchange.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 17, 2023, 09:31:03 AM
I think if people really want to be happy in life, expecially undergraduates and young graduate they should learn not to give all expectations of having living job from the government.  If people create the mindset of being creative and productive in this era they will live a more happy life than putting all expectations of getting a dream job from the government.  A productive mindset is what young people needs to make life easy and worth living.

For example, there are 50 universities in a country and every year each university holds a graduation ceremony with at least 500 students graduating. In total, every year each university in a country produces as many as 25,000 best graduates.
5,000 of them may have found work because of their abilities, skills and creativity. Another 20,000 will be unemployed.

What is the role of stakeholders and state administrators in providing solutions to the number of best graduates produced by universities? To me, these numbers are an annual problem faced.

From this case, in my opinion, what must be thought about and implemented by each graduate who is born every year at the university is how each of them creates jobs with the supporting elements they have with the aim not of getting rich, but with the aim of being able to just survive in the midst of they have to accept the economic difficulties that they have to accept because each graduate is ready to face these challenges in reality.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Bitcoin investment time on: October 16, 2023, 09:36:32 AM
Unfortunately, when people buy Bitcoin, they expect huge profits within a short period of time. This is the source of panic and fud that is exhibited by many Bitcoin investors.

And the mindset of wanting to get rich quickly in a short period of time is very wrong. Usually people with this mindset are very close to the brink of disappointment.
People who view bitcoin as a tool to quickly get rich and see crypto as just about making money are not worthy of taking part as investors.

While educating people about Bitcoin, I think it is wise we tell them Bitcoin need time to yield profit, let us change our approach in sharing Bitcoin knowledge so that people will not come into Bitcoin with the mindset of get-rich-quick.

About convenience and disadvantages. About opportunities in facing the challenges of the economic system. It would be wise if in educating people about bitcoin we explain the two types.
Why bitcoin was created is the main point that needs to be conveyed because it is to steer them away from the bitcoin mindset of just making money.
894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run on: October 16, 2023, 08:32:02 AM
-snip-

I think the price might pump a bit toward $30k in the next few weeks to attract more retail investors before a final correction. We might see a below $20k price tag before BTC halving.

The thing that strengthens you is that the price will go up if you can just mention it because many people can also say the possibility of what will happen to the price of bitcoin.

-snip-

It is better not to wait for the dip before buying Bitcoin because you can not predict the price action. The best option is to buy; whenever you have money or set a target price to buy some bitcoin, and once the price hits that target just buy it. At the end of the day, everyone will be in profit, but your patience will be tested if you invest. It is expected that the price will touch new ATH after the next BTC halving, so it is a very good opportunity now to buy Bitcoin with a few bucks.

The thing that strengthens you is that the price will rise if I may just mention it because many people can also say a possibility that will happen to the price of bitcoin.

Buy good things when prices are low and sell when prices are high. A theory that will stay on the shelf and gather dust.
I will repeat that no matter how great the people who advise don't wait for a dip to buy, those who are not willing to execute that advice still won't hear it.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: October 16, 2023, 08:05:53 AM
So whoever finds children gambling in online gambling or physical casinos, remind them to stop gambling so that they don't become a bad generation in the future. Even though you make simple efforts, you have saved the new generation from growing up to be better children.

Should be warned when you find children who are under the specified age playing gambling but they are smarter in terms of tactics to circumvent the KYC requirements that are required.
Children who are banned do not want to listen or they only respond flatly because the person who warned them is not far from bad habits with their gambling.

The ones who should warn children about gambling are those who have not or have repented from gambling. Perhaps the warning given by such a person will be heard by children under the age specified as a condition.
896  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: October 15, 2023, 12:09:53 PM
Last night's two Group B matches also had important meaning for each team. The Netherlands is getting worse under Koeman. Greece performed brilliantly to beat Ireland.

Netherlands are in real trouble, looking at their starting XI I couldn’t believe how low quality it is, in comparison to when I was growing up. Gone are the likes of Bergkamp, Seedorf, Stam, Davids and now they start with Weghourst.

The story of many people older than me about the Dutch team's game is that the Dutch style of football that was their trademark when Koeman and other names like Bergkamp and Seedorf were still actively playing has disappeared.
I'm just a 20 year old football fan, of course I don't really know the style of play of the Dutch national team in question.

A number of players included in the starting XI, most of them are players who play for big clubs, but the quality of their game when they were defeated by France was very low, which does not indicate that these players play for clubs in the world's top leagues.
In my opinion, Koeman failed again.
Three more games. Winning could take them to Germany.
897  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [panduan] Cara Memasang Ekstensi BPIP.ORG di Browser Kiwi on: October 15, 2023, 11:38:11 AM

* Kiwi Browser is a spyware
Summary: Kiwi Browser ships with fake search engines that masquerade as Yahoo or Bing. They actually send all searches through their own servers, allowing Kiwi's owners to track what each user is searching for.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 15, 2023, 10:32:05 AM
This is a confirmation that Bitcoin is safer and better than many conventional investment portfolios.

It will not be safe and could be worse than other investments if you cannot maintain it properly or ignore some important elements [seed phrase or private key] that have access to bitcoin.
Many people know that Bitcoin is a good type of investment compared to conventional investments but lose their coins because they don't know how to look after them properly.

Anyone still doubting the freedom, comfort and peace that Bitcoin offers is probably yet to embrace reality.

Just because they don't want to find out how bitcoin works and they also never want to find out how the fiat currency they use every day works.
I think therein lies the weakness of people who doubt all the advantages of bitcoin as a currency and as a long-term investment asset.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an alternative way? on: October 15, 2023, 10:04:10 AM
Hodling is something almost everyone in the Bitcoin ecosystem wants to participate in,and therefore the use of cold wallets and hard ware wallets which deem to be more secure is necessary. However how really does one keep his hodling wallet secret from the internet with the open source nature of Bitcoin. For instance assuming you have multiple Bitcoin wallets and a particular HODLING wallet which you fund using the other wallets(the multiple wallets), using block chain explorers to inspect the transaction history of the other wallets will give a trace to the hodling wallet and therefore give someone the ability to monitor the assets in your HODLING wallet .How then can this problem be solved? Of course someone may suggest Using mixers to run the transactions how ever is there any other alternative way of moving funds to a hodling wallet from other wallets without any trace?
Also I would like to understand more about how mixers work so I will appreciate any summarized explanation or any article on mixing.

Holding is a convincing choice to make so many people choose holding rather than trading over time with the amount of bitcoin they own.
People who choose holding need a wallet that is secure to use and uses several different addresses before being stacked together in one address.
Maybe, if I'm not mistaken that there is no connection between the two [security and privacy] than you mean. Regarding the mixer service used to obscure traces, there are also limitations in the number of transactions [large and small].

For me, the first step is to choose the best wallet that is open source and maintain it well, such as making several offline backups.
Second, be careful in public spaces.
Third, Multisign.
Fourth, use other tools to hide the IP address of the device used such as using Tor.

OP is teaching us all about preparation. Grin

That's what I'm trying to understand the meaning of the title and content of the topic created by the OP Grin

Yes the bearishness will still continue before the halving arrives, but once past that all speculation says bitcoin will recover slowly and make a rally at the end of the year, some institutions already have a range of numbers for that year.

I don't fully believe in the market conditions that will occur from any speculator because October is already at the end of the second week and the support price is still not strong at $27k. Maybe the market price will recover slowly based on many speculations it will start in the third week of October.

-snip-
There is no way to keep buying in order to accumulate as much as possible, if you keep thinking about price and analysis all the time this will be a bit of a hindrance, so focus on buying and then holding, patience will be tested when you are facing problems, but when you have prepared all that will not happen.

Even if we want to say it in a good way, those who are still thinking about low prices to buy will not want to execute it well as long as they are not willing to take their minds off the price problem every day to buy. Just a waste of energy.
Other investors continue to consistently buy and hold with great patience until they finally make a profit during bull run market conditions.
