889  Economy / Service Announcements / A.C.P Auctions.Cryptos.Parts [ANN] on: June 22, 2016, 09:38:33 AM

I would like to introduce the launch of Auction.Crypto.Part or A.C.P for short!!

We have launched A.C.P as we see a need for a site that is easy to use and helps Cryptos in general to become more widespread and usable .

So a few things that need to be known firstly :

site url is https://crypto.parts

Currency

The native currency on A.C.P site is US$. All deposits, auctions, withdrawals, buy now markets and fees.

Question: If this is a Crypto site, why is the native currency US$??

We looked at using Bitcoin as the native currency, but with the volatility of Bitcoin and Cryptos in general at the moment, we believe that this would put both buyers and sellers at a disadvantage. For example: if a seller puts something up for sale with a value of $100 US in bitcoin and when it sells the value of bitcoin drops by 10%, the seller won't want to only receive $90 and therefore won't want to send the item. This also goes for the buyer if the value increased by 10%, the buyer won't want to pay $110 for something they originally bought for $100. So this way the value you deposit in US$ will be reflected in your account, and when you withdraw we will payout in bitcoin the amount you withdraw in US$(minus withdrawal fee). If and when Bitcoin stabilises we will look at implementing Bitcoin or another crypto as the native currency.

Deposits

All deposits are processed through Coinpayments.net .

You put in how much US$ you wish to deposit, click the deposit button, and you will be directed to the Coinpayments.net payment gateway.

The Current Crypto Currencies that will be accepted for conversion to US$ and depositing the funds to the A.C.P site, are as followed through the Coinpayments.net gateway.

These coins that are accepted can change from time to time, and at times the wallets can go into maintenance, so be patient and try again.

Once we have the required confirms the US$ will be credited to your account at A.C.P

Another option for deposits of coins that aren’t currently accepted by Coinpayments.net is Shapeshift.io. They currently accept and convert 32 different crypto currencies to Bitcoin. This process takes a little longer to

deposit, but lets you use a wide variety of currencies available. Crypto currencies that Shapeshift.oi currently convert are available @ https://shapeshift.io/#/coins .

Full instructions on using Shapeshift.io for deposits can be found on the A.C.P site @ https://crypto.parts/please-read-important/

Escrow Details

For all completed Auctions or Buy Now sales, the funds are placed into an escrow account until both the seller clicks it has been delivered and the buyer clicks it has been received.

So for the seller, for physical items have tracking to prove it has been sent and received at the other end. For digital products provide screen shots, emails or other verifiable proof that it has been sent to the buyer for your own protection. Any problems with selling or buying please send all details and proof to admin@crypto.parts .

Once both the seller and the buyer have verified, the funds will be released to the seller immediately .

Withdrawals

All withdrawals are processed manually and are paid in Bitcoin ONLY. This is converted and calculated on the conversion rate at time of withdrawal. All withdrawals will be processed within 24 hours (most of the times a lot sooner). If there is ever a delay there will be a notification on the site.

There is a withdrawal fee of 0.00025 BTC which will be deducted from the converted amount to cover TX fees and processing.

So whether you're selling a physical item, digital product, or even offering a service, come list it and as a buyer you will feel confident that you will receive your goods/service or product, as all funds are placed in escrow until they are received!!

891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE ANN] {ETHEREUM HACKED DAO DESTROYED} Here we have -"THE REPLACEMENT"- on: June 18, 2016, 01:05:16 AM
Ok all of a sudden there is a problem /crack with ETH/DAO , and that same day "THE REPLACEMENT" is here , with a ICO to boot , not saying you guys didnt plan to launch this before , but as for timing , it looks like a money grab on the problems of another coin , there hasnt even been enough time to see if it can be fixed correctly or even fixed at all , and no i dont hold ETH or DAO , and the use of the words 'REPLACEMENT" or "DESTROYED" is a bit premature, not saying you dont have a good idea , just timing seems a little off ..

893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] A cryptocurrency that uses intelligence-based proof-of-work on: June 04, 2016, 11:00:27 AM
I'm trying to gauge whether something like this is worth my time working on. A lot of ideas seem interesting at first but then you find out later on that people were only saying that and no one really cares. That can add up to a huge amount of wasted time that can be better spent on other things so at the very least: if there's zero buzz around this idea then I'm not going to want to spend weeks researching various measures of intelligence, machine learning, CAPTCHA technology, and graphics programming to develop the required software.

A project like this is a huge undertaking and will require multi-disciplinary research so got to see if there's enough interest here first to justify that effort Smiley
to guage wether something is worth it , in crypto land is hard , first is to develop a basic road map and people always want more info , that is understandable to the tech heads and also to the layman , the more info the bigger the buzz mate

True. I'll start thinking of a good execution plan . Will also PM you soon since we seem to have a lot in common.
yep sent you a PM with skype details bud!

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] A cryptocurrency that uses intelligence-based proof-of-work on: June 04, 2016, 01:40:37 AM
So I was thinking that it might be possible to adapt the idea behind CAPTCHA and create a new class of algorithms that are much more secure based on dynamically generating something like publicly verifiable abstract human reasoning problems. The algorithm would work by taking a block hash and using the information to construct a 3D world with a specific starting state and desired end state. The challenge would be to manipulate that world to produce the end state in such a way that the process would be difficult to impossible for an AI to repeat without applying human-level intelligence. And because these manipulations could be recorded -- once a solution was reached -- it could be used as a PoW to the rest of the network who can repeat those manipulations and determine if the end state was reached.

Think of it like a sandbox for intelligence problems but one whose solutions can be publicly verified and whose problem sets are essentially random. By applying this sandbox model as a proof-of-work algorithm on a sidechain, it becomes possible to make mining for that chain much more decentralized than traditional hash-based proof-of-work and at a lower cost than electricity. The human brain can only be optimized so much, meaning that intelligence-based proof-of-work will stay much more decentralized and open to participation (compared to buying expensive ASIC chips -- the chip you need is already inside your head.)

Such a currency would also contribute to the development of complex AI as the currencies existence would be an incentive for researchers to try break the sandbox algorithm, giving them an unfair advantage when it comes to solving new blocks. Given the state of current advances in AI it will become necessary to keep improving the sandbox algorithm (until human-level AI is achieved.) But having the whole chain broken at once from a new advance will never be a problem if the coin also incorporates Bitcoin's PoW into the minting process. That way old blocks will be cemented in time and researchers will only have an advantage with future blocks.

Who wants to help me design and develop this new PoW algorithm?

Interesting idea , more info !!
