881  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: November 16, 2019, 03:30:42 PM
Getting investors is not an easy work. Before you start any project you need to have a connection in the field that you're about to start up your business. And cryptocurrency is not a project that works offline and it would be difficult for you to start it up offline.

Even online it's going to take a lot of effort and you will have to be able to convince potential investors and let them know why they should consider your project ,if you can't convince them by giving them reasons why they should invest then they are not going to invest. Take yourself as an example, I don't think you will agree to invest your money in any project you have no understanding of, you will prefer to invest in a project that seems legit.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: November 16, 2019, 09:05:56 AM
Crypto currency is decentralized in which very highly secured but to be more specific crypto bank is somehow not decentralized though it depends the features that they will provide due to the fact of many users here in crypto currency community as many users want to know in detailed about it. As my own thoughts much better to be secured by our own hardware wallet rather that to be secured by anyone else. Likewise, I don't think it will be supported by many users as well as by those investors here in crypto currency community.
I dint even think that banks can secure our own cryptocurrency as much as we can secure it ourselves because that is the only way that I see banks coming in with the promise of securing our crypto. There is no need to actually have bank since we already have our own wallet as our bank, and even the exchanges that are good at it still will not be able to guarantee full security for their users who have kept money in their wallet.

Banks are just trying to stay relevant because of the fees they do charge which I think with this decentralized coin, it will be impossible for them to cope. If banks are being created for cryptocurrency again, I just see it as waste and an irrelevant project which makes no much sense to me. The time for banks is beginning to get outdated.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Application (Dapp) on: November 16, 2019, 08:27:41 AM
I'm curious about storing our assets online, mostly online wallets. Do you think there's possibility the developer collect our address, especially our private key?
I usually store my coins on a paper wallet and we all know storing in a cold wallet is the safer way to secure all assets.
Do you think it's secure to import our address to an app? Is there any identification of a real decentralized application to trust our keys.
You already have a way of storing your coin in a safe wallet which are the ones you have mentioned, so why do you still have to look for another wallet online that you cannot guarantee the safety of your coin, and if you look at many wallets that has been hacked, it has been all these online wallet, and not even about your address being know to the developers, they are not the main threat, the main threats are those expert hackers that can get into your online wallet at any time.

This is why you see many people even do advise that you don’t keep your money into any exchange wallet too, because if the exchanges can never guarantee the safety of the coin absolutely. So keep backing up your coins in cold storage and the paper wallet you have been using.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TOP25/50 COINS on: November 15, 2019, 08:27:49 PM
I will say that it is safe, but to prevent confused because there are too much option usually i only pick top 10 coinmarketcap. But only for trading in long term, i already change my strategy only do buy and hold big coin like Bitcoin and Ethereum for now. Maybe will keep like this until halving come.
Your decision is a good one and I think to have bitcoin and Ethereum as the only coin in one’s portfolio is not a mistake because of many altcoins that we have now that are all crumbling day by day, but I think there is still strength and power that lies with these top 10 coins in the market, we can still rely on them to be a good coin for investment that will yield a high increase in future, and if there are coins that has the ability to increase very high in the next bull run, I think that it will be all these top 10 coins that will make it more.

For my own portfolio, I have the largest percentage of my investment in these two coins while the remaining ones is really distributed into the top 50 coins, while out of the 50 coins, I still research on the reliable ones.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: November 15, 2019, 08:06:29 PM
I agree to your point of view but I think the most important thing to those elements is marketing because it contains all. Marketing is not all about promotion but also determining the needs and wants of clients or users so I think if we have a very good marketing we will be have a very good and successful crypto or project.
To get good marketing we need to have a good product so if our crypto will be good it will attract so many investors by itself.   After the worth and potential of the coin then it comes number of investors if more people will be interested and they will use it so that crypto will touch success very fast but if people will not trust it and buy so it will grow slowly or Maybe will not grow till now bitcoin is the most successful crypto.
Yes right, product must be very good and so the team must also be an excellent responsible and reputable team because the success of the project still in the hand of the team. If the team has the drive to move the project to a good height, with very good product, the sky will be their limits which their investors are still the ones that will be the ones to benefits from it most.

It has been long that I actually could guarantee a very good and reputable project, the projects that I feel I can trust right now are projects that are within the top 100 in our data market. If we chose from those projects, I believe that we will have a more relax mind than all these new projects that is being released now without much working project and any trusted team.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate List of Exit Scams & How to Spot One on: November 15, 2019, 07:07:04 PM
This is not really a comprehensive list about exit scams and projects that did not do what they promised. To me the, largest list of exit scams in the industry will be found in ICO. There are many ICOs that raised millions of dollars and they are no where to found again.
Lol, you are not wring about this, because some ICO project has been a disaster this year as it seems like ICO market now is full off projects that just want to scam people and go away with their fake technology and the way they even do that now is so professional that when you see the project from the whitepaper, you could swear with your life that the project will be the best in life, so you rush into investing and then they enter one fake exchange that does not have value, tie your money down for long till the project becomes a shitcoin that people no longer recognized.

We also need to be very careful in the next bull run, because this project will want to come to the market during the season to dump the last coins that they have and then exit permanently.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 15, 2019, 06:37:46 PM
I am not a seller of product, so I would not say that I have been able to contribute in that aspect too but it is my desire too that one day, I won a platform where I can sell products and be able to introduce bitcoin as the main payment for my goods and them use fiat as an alternative of payment for those that are still finding it difficult to use cryptocurrency while I will try my best then to actually create awareness of it for those people.

For moment, the only way that I get engaged with bitcoin on a daily basis is because I am a trader, and the kind of trading that I chose to go for is the day trading which makes me to have an encounter with bitcoin on a daily basis and I save it in my wallet without touching it except maybe I am transferring it for same trading purpose.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Like An Orphan on: November 15, 2019, 05:29:13 PM
Why don't we have people doing this for btc adoption. This would encourage newbies like us. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/roger-ver-gives-away-free-bitcoin-cash-believes-it-would-be-worth-5000-in-future/
This guy is one step ahead of us, and we bitcoin community really need to also take lots of step to promote bitcoin, which I am sure that if Mr. Satoshi was still available and has not gone into hiding, he would have been the first person to actually be doing things like this, but now that he has left the system of bitcoin for us to handle, and having built a very strong community down, I think we need to start doing things like this too to create awareness for it, because what I see this bitcoin cash guy just doing is to try and create awareness, what he is doing is simply just a marketing strategy which I believe will actually work to some extent and may even make people buy more f the coin in addition to the free one that he has given them already.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE? on: November 14, 2019, 05:33:00 PM
I have been gone for so long due to my hectic schedule at the university, but since I have graduated already and I have taken my board exam I am now back here! Finally.

I have noticed how altcoins I own before depreciate so bad. I even have two or more kind which up to now have no value. Is the market tthat bad already? I mean, I can actually read threads here but ofcourse getting direct feedbacks from all of you who stayed all through out the time I was not around would be very helpful. Please help me learn about the new environment of cryptos now. Thanks.
This market moves so fast that being away for one year is the equivalent of being away for several years in other markets, if you had being holding bitcoin or other similar cryptocurrencies then you should be doing well since we saw an important recovery during the second quarter but most other coins have been doing badly, this is not surprising since there is no need to invest in such coins when bitcoin gave 3x during this year and many top altcoins gave something similar.
When I saw this market, I was already building the hate speech that I will give you until I saw that you were referring to bitcoin lol, because the only market that has fully been doing well is only that of bitcoin while altcoins are still very much stagnant, and stagnant is even still an understatement.

Most altcoins aside the top altcoins are seriously dying every day and it will take lots of energy for them to be revived again, so while he was gone, if he had invested in bitcoin as at that time during the bear market, I am sure he would have been back by now smiling because most of the investment in bitcoin that I did during that time he was away has really been a good one for me. I have made several profits within that space while the other altcoins are still struggling.
890  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: November 14, 2019, 01:12:39 PM
The market has never gone as per prediction because most people that are predicting are not doing it the right way by just predicting based on what they believe and base on cycle or what happened before, while the real people are the ones that predicts with strong and accurate analysis which we only have few people that are doing that and majority of other that are even analyzing are all relying on technical analysis alone for a market that is fully unpredictable and a market that is based on speculation and the most analysis that I feel is very important is that of the fundamentals, like the time that china president announce support of cryptocurrency, we would be able to know immediately that the market will react positively to it.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power belongs to the investors, they are not to be toyed with on: November 13, 2019, 06:58:52 PM
No project can do well without investors. So developers should ensure their projects are very alright before it is launched to avoid disappointing investors.  Because if investors choose not to participate,  there is no way that project can do well. So developers need to work hard on making sure their projects does not fail so investors will not be discouraged
Everything about the success of cryptocurrency si all around investors, they are the ones that can make or mar the project, and I think it is very necessary that the main focus of having a successful project should be investors, and even this issue of dumping that we are talking of, most projects just don’t want to put blame on their investors, so that they don’t lose them, but they are actually the cause of these dumping of coins with these issue of rewards that they give them on their investment which I personally think it is too much, and also, they are still very important.

So, what I am just saying in this sense is that developers really need to learn to know how to handle these people called investors, because they are the heart of the project.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Huobi forcing out US traders out on: November 13, 2019, 01:22:59 PM
I hope that America is not just using these tactics to try to kill cryptocurrency because it seems they are the ones that is having issue most with all these exchanges, they have had issue with all external exchanges like binance and now this very big exchange again.

I don’t know what could have transpired between them and I think that it also took the intervention of some people for Binance to have created their own separate cryptocurrency exchange, otherwise, they would not have been able to also trade on binance with the issue they have then, maybe huobi will also follow binance foot step. This is the disadvantage of centralized system, it is because the US knows the owner of these exchanges that they could be placing those regulations on them, is it decentralized exchange they want to try that with?
893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Bitfinex a good exchange for trading? [Exchange review] on: November 13, 2019, 12:47:42 PM
For a while now, I have not been hearing much about bitfiniex being discussed, and I think their hype is already going down, at first, I think it would be Binance popularity that is causing this, but that should not really be the reason why they have stopped growing, there are still other exchanges that bitfiniex came before and they are riding along with binanceexchange in hype, so that rating to me use to be something that they have before but not now again.

There is need for them to begin to work again to make the exchange popular, or else, the next thing we will hear is that they are also packing their bag to live the market just like we have some exchange that has also ride in the hype before nowhere to be found again, it was only Poloenix that wanted to try to ride on the new boat before.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the movement for alternative money a response to? on: November 12, 2019, 04:39:25 PM
I still doubt the role of Bitcoin will replace the money that we know today. Fiat money has an effect on economic growth and also on the existence of the country and if Bitcoin takes over the role of fiat money, I think the country will not exist anymore. But if Bitcoin is played as a digital asset, I think this makes more sense
It makes no sense for bitcoin to be placed as a digital asset alone, because having a digital asset was never the problem that Mr satoshi saw that made him create the bitcoin as cryptocurrency, there are so many digital asset that one can hold aside bitcoin and has been in existence for a long time.

The reason why bitcoin creator saw that there is need for a cryptocurrency is because he saw that there is a challenge in the fiat system, which is why he create it to serve as a peer to peer payment system, but we are the one turning it to a digital asset product. The coin itself was never meant to also replace fiat, but was meant to serve as an alternative to the fiat which we have seen how effective it could be for mots business men and women.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: November 12, 2019, 12:01:24 PM
When something is new it's normal for it to get a lot of hype, lol. So, I'm not surprised ,but that doesn't mean Bitcoin is dying. There are still a lot of people that are into bitcoin, you might not know that. If you're asking this question because of the price that went down, maybe you should start considering other means of earning btc like signature campaign and trading, investment doesn't work at all times. If you check the first time it took a lot of years before a bull run happened and nobody was even expecting that, the price usually go up slowly and not that fast.

Another thing you should also know is that bull run can't happen at all times, the main purpose for Bitcoin was to be used for peer-to-peer transactions and not making people rich overnight. So try to have patience, and find some other things to spend time with.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business ideas with 60 Bitcoin? What would you do? on: November 12, 2019, 08:40:16 AM
Well, that depends on where you're living. In my country, that's a lot of money and you can use that start a big business that will turn you into a really big billionaire in the future. But the kind of business you're mentioning, that wasn't what I had in mind. If I had that much I would go into farming and being an investor. Farming is really big business, even if I want I can still not be a farmer but invest in most farming business here that would bring me 20% to 40% in four and six months. So imagine that invest $100,000 in one of these farming businesses and get 40% in six months that's extra $40k. Unlike most investments, you will see. Clothing is another good one.

But from the ones you have mentioned, the exchange is a big competition; you have Coinbase, Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex and a lot of them to compete with. Betting and sports are also a big competition unless you have the money to sponsor ads and promote the sites and so something unique. You can still try your luck. But make your choice wisely.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 11, 2019, 05:07:02 PM
Every country is trying their best now to limit their cash transaction and not just Malaysia alone, and in my own country, I even think that the policy is too string that you will have no choice than to do your transaction digitally because the tax they placed on the amount of money you wish to withdraw and even deposit is much, so they want a situation that people will begin to use digital cash and as we are getting to the age where virtually all government want to make their cash digital so that there can be less printing of money.

They might gradually start getting to that stage also where they will be forced to create one single currency using the blockchain technology and that will sure be cryptocurrency, so there is not country that can still escape this cryptocurrency technology.
898  Economy / Economics / Re: Private Coins from banks and governments on: November 10, 2019, 08:56:44 AM
JP Morgan? I think though already created their own cryptocurrency - the JPM Coin? though it's currently not available to individual consumers. I saw the announcement on their site and they said it is still a prototype that will be tested with their institutional clients. I believe that after the test they will release it and it will be available to be used by everyone.

And for sure they will do anything possible to get people to make use of their own cryptocurrency, they won't be supporting Bitcoin. No business will leave theirs to support another, that never happens.
As for the government, I don't know this for sure, they might be against Bitcoin or maybe not, they are not being straight. As we can see, in some countries Bitcoin has been declared illegal, but still legal in other countries.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin ATM is increasingly widespread? on: November 08, 2019, 07:35:35 PM
for instance, in vietnam there is no KYC required, but you need a mobile phone and provide your number to receive a code via SMS to proceed or a code to redeem cash.

in europe some BTMs need a phone number as well, but some only give you a printout with a qr code for the receiving address and a time window of 20min to send BTC if you wanna cash out. buying BTC works with QR code scans of your address. i haven't seen any KYC procedures on a BTM yet and wouldn't use one if that would be a requirement.

speaking of vietnam, currently one of the BTM operators is extending their network with +12 new machines.
here is the announcement in case you are interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198437.0

i also recommend to check out coinatmradar, it is full of interesting information: https://coinatmradar.com/
I have heard of this too that Vietnam is one of the most friendly cryptocurrency related country and while other countries are lagging behind, they are drastically improving on the use of cryptocurrency, but the use of kyc, in an advanced country like Vietnam, do you know that the number required is a kyc on its own.

Because in my country here, for you to be entitled to a mobile number, you must have your data captured with the mobile telecommunication company in which they can use your number to get every details about you when there is need for it, so having your number on their database will make the authority to know every transaction that occurred and during taxing, they will be able to link it to whichever person they want to link it with.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: November 08, 2019, 10:11:28 AM
Attributing their activities to the technology was a wrong statement because the technology itself has been very effective, but the means for which these technologies are being developed is the main things that are to be blame for scam because of their corrupt mind. The fact that there are people who are using the fiat currency for evil purpose does not make the fiat evil itself, the reason why we are just condemning fiat is because it has become less effective now and gradually going to extinction.

Blockchain technology has been very effective for people, which world government leaders are even encouraging their citizens to go for it while school are even beginning to lecture it to their citizens.
